Ethical Contempo Vena Food and Treat Dispenser for Cats

Ethical Contempo Vena Food and Treat Dispenser for CatsThis cat treat dispenser does what it is supposed to do. The cats toss it around and treats fall out, just a couple at a time. The kitten has the patience to play with it. The one-year-old Siamese tries to bite it then gives up. He waits for the little one to get the treats out and then he eats them. But I thought they should have sent all three (as shown) for the price.

Sofa Scram Sonic Dog & Cat Deterrent Repellent Mat Trains Dogs and Cats to Scat!

Sofa Scram Sonic Dog & Cat Deterrent Repellent Mat Trains Dogs and Cats to Scat! This product is almost like the heart of a smoke detector except instead of detecting smoke it goes off when there's pressure on the mat. You can see the 9V in the video and hear the beep is somewhat similar (but monotone). You can also see it takes a little more pressure to set off on a plush cushion but there's no way a pet could lay on it without it going off.

I've also used ours on a deep picture window sill and it keeps the dog from jumping his front feet on that when neighbors are out (german shepherd likes to keep tabs on everyone!)

One of our dogs isn't terribly scared of the sound but doesn't want to set the mat off. The other dog doesn't want to be anywhere near it. Neither dog wants to lay on the couch with this thing on though so it's effective for both.

We should have bought this ages ago.

We finally have a dog who simply refuses to get off the couch and sheds like crazy. Seeing a review at Amazon for the couch off thing with the shocker saying to save your money and be humane and buy this, we opted for this instead.

Right away, he'd leap off the couch, and now, he doesn't even try to get on it anymore. We just need to remove it before company comes! ;)

I'd buy again.

I have a black cloth couch and a Golden Lab..you know the rest. I tried boxes, she would move them, I tried huge boxes, she would knock them off. I got so tired of having my couch look like I was moving and vacuming off all the dog hair before guest came over. And then enter in

'The Sofa Scram' Thinking Cheap Chinese product, I ordered as a last resort to keeping a nice home.

Two weeks later I am proud to admit not one dog hair on the couch. I was amazed. And please note, my dog lived to be on this couch for some odd reason. So she is on her soft doggie bed, and my couch is dog hair free !

Great product, it works as advertised. You only need to make sure you get a 9 volt battery for it.

Bravo !!

I was so frustrated with my bold catnothing deterred him from climbing up on the counters. Once I even found him all curled up in my fruit basket and he just looked at me like, "what..?". I had tried the squirt bottle, the double-stick tape, cookie sheets on the edge(both worked while in place, but makes the counters very inconvenient to use) and even tinfoil (never even phased him) but I didn't want to fork out the money for a CatScram.

I bought the SofaScram on another site which had a special going with a free No Pets Allowed Blanket. This is like a space blanket/tinfoil type material (99 cents at Walmart). As I expected, the No Pets Blanket didn't phase any of my kitties. As the site suggested, I tried associating it with Sofa Scram's obnoxious alarm by hiding the SofaScram underneath the No Pets Blanket. I was proactive in introducing it to them on the counter, on the tableswhere ever I wanted them not to go and now, they avoid the Blanket itself completelyif they even see me coming towards them with it, they clear out in a hurry.

One thing about the SofaScram by itself, when the cat is scrambling to get away, it can get knocked off the counterI was worried about damaging the device. Twice this happened but it's still okay. Very loud, although under the tablecloth it gets muffled a little bit, but it was still annoying enough to make the cat jump offand since its out of sight, the cat will have no idea whether its safe or not and hopefully won't take its chances. It's only been a day, my bold cat is not so bold anymore. But, I do plan to reinforce every once in a while so he won't catch on.

I'm really happy with the SofaScram and relieved that my cats don't like it. Good by itself, but with the space blanket material you can really extend it's effectiveness. If you don't mind shiny stuffit looks better than tinfoilon your counters or table (as a visible deterrent even without the SofaScram in place), you can cut it to size and smooth it down to cling nicely while you continue to use the SofaScram elsewhere.

Warner Decorative Door Bell 10" With 3 Silver Plated Sleigh Bells

Warner Decorative Door Bell 10' With 3 Silver Plated Sleigh BellsWe recently adopted a new kitten. I got these sleigh bells, so we were aware of when someone was opening the back door. Since, our little kitten named Belle loves to run to the door to see who is coming in. Being afraid that she may get out these bells are a nice warning that someone is coming in. Plus who doesn't love Christmas and the sound of sleigh bells. Love this!

It's delivered in3 days. The silver plated bells are heavy duty, look nice on the leather strap. The sound is loud, serves very well as a door bell.

I originally bought it in an attempt to train my new dog to go potty. However, she is so good at going twice a day that I didn't need to train her with bells. I did have to extend the bells downwards by tying a ribbon at the door handle (for the dog to reach so as not to scratch the door frame or smear the glass pane). Now that the bells are not used by the dog, we still enjoy the pleasant ring whenever the kitchen door opens/closes. I am very happy with the leather and the metal used to make this unit. Good value too.

Innotek UltraSmart Contain N Train Dog Fence System

Innotek UltraSmart Contain N Train Dog Fence SystemExcellent pet fence. Easy to install and train our dog to. Enjoy the fact that we have the extra remote so we can continue to use the collar even when we ate away from home.

Nice product seems to be of quality but the collars only stay charged for about two days at best and after charging they have to be relearned. Wish the warning tone could be shut off also. Collars were replaced several times with no better results

Innotek Advanced Trainer with Tone Training Feature - SD-100A

Innotek Advanced Trainer with Tone Training Feature - SD-100AThis collar has made Austin my golden retriever very happy. The combination of the tone prior to the shock makes me happy. I wasn't crazy about the whole shock collar idea but Austin has a tendency to go his own way at times durinig walks. I realy don't like leashes because him doing a little exploring is fine and all the more exercise for him. The Innotek Trainer works out perfectly by allowing me to remind him he's getting a little far away by using the tone feature. If a car is coming or he may head toward an unknown person and the tone doesn't get his attention the zap causes him to come back rather quickly, yet he never acts like it has caused him and real discomfort.

I said this makes him happy because now when I get the collar down off the shelf he gets so excited he can hardly contain himself. Austin has learned that means we're going for a walk. This is a great product with a good range at a reasonable price. And the batteries seem to last forever.

I bought this for my 1-year old dog that has been picking on my smaller, 9-year old dog. She would constantly attack the older dog (playfully) to the point that the older dog would fight back. I wasn't always able to intervene in time, so I got this collar to keep the peace in our house. Although it has 4 levels of shock, I have found that using the 'bad tone' to prevent misbehavior is all I need to do. Our dog immediately stops whatever she is doing (jumping up, picking on our other dog, getting in the trash, etc.) and backs away. She does not like the sound coming from the collar.

The only thing preventing me from giving this a 5-star rating was the slight difficulty I had in setting up the collar/transmitter. The instructions (somewhat limited) and DVD included with the product were not the clearest and took some time to configure the collar/transmitter. Other than that, the product is a great deal for the money and keeps my young, hyper dog in line!

Fruitables Pumpkin and Sweet Potato Dog Treats (Variety Pack of 5, 7-Ounce Pouches)

Fruitables Pumpkin and Sweet Potato Dog TreatsMy dog is VERY picky when it comes to treats, but she absolutely loves her Fruitables!

We have purchased the variety pack a few times already and will keep on buying them!

These little cookies are a real find! They contain no wheat or corn, are small enough not to interfere with your dog's diet, and are loved by our four doggies! I have had a written correspondence with the company president who seems to be someone with high standards and ethics. I buy these 10 at a time. Currently, "the kids" are enjoying the banana flavored ones. They surely love their "nanners"! Can't recommend them highly enough. I wouldn't be surprised if they tasted wonderful to people, but I haven't summoned the courage to try.

These treats are small but they are great. They don't have that weird fake meat scent but my dogs still love them and so do I because I don't get that gross smell on my hands every time I give them a treat! The ingredients are simple and healthy and I don't feel guilty giving my dog a bunch of them. Great product.

Petstages Toss and Shake Rope Ball

Petstages Toss and Shake Rope BallMy Schnauzer likes the bells and loves ropes, so this one is a keeper! We like it! he chases it and likes to toss it himself!

I have a 27 pound, 8 month old Corgi who chews and destroys his toys. He really likes this toy. The jingle bells inside are very different from the typical sounds in his toys and is a great attention grabber. He likes the dangling ropes which are similar to a moppy toy. He'll destroy it eventually as it's not made to withstand prolonged chewing which is why it doesn't get 5 stars from me but overall it's a great dog toy.

Buy Petstages Toss and Shake Rope Ball Now

We gave this toy to our 11 month old English Shepherd last night and she LOVES it! She wore herself out last night running back and forth and shaking the ropes. It has a bell or bells inside for some noise which she also seems to respond to. The down side is she just chewed off one of the ropes! The rope is a soft cotton so not to difficult for any dog to chew through. If she does chew off most of the ropes we will probably just get some rope at a hardware store to tie through the hole in the middle of the ball so she can continue to carry it and shake the toy. I wish it was sturdier for the price, though. The chewed off lengths of rope could also be a hazard if a dog were to eat them so will have to keep an eye on that and toss out any loose pieces.

Grriggles Plush Shore Thing Bungees Dog Toy, Flamingo

Grriggles Plush Shore Thing Bungees Dog Toy, FlamingoI expect dog toys to be short-lived. They are subjected to games of tug-of-war and just plain chewing. However this particular one lasted about 30 seconds, with a dog who is known for NOT destroying his toys. The head came right off with little effort and so did one of the legs. Within seconds of receiving this toy and carrying it around, the dog was left with only a torso. For the money, should've held up better for sure.

Havahart Wireless Radial-Shape 2 Wireless Fence

Havahart Wireless 5134GS2 Radial-Shape 2 Wireless Fence for Small DogWe live in a neighborhood where almost every house has a dog or dogs. I do not have a wireless or invisible fence, but many of our neighbors do. I know that the invisible or wireless fences don't always work, because if a dog wants to chase a squirrel, cat, chipmunk or rabbit bad enough, that dog will take the shock through the barrier and once out of the wired area, the dog is out and down the block. Our one neighbor has 2 dogs with the underground wire and one dog always breaks the barrier while the other dog has never gone beyond the wire. The problem with invisible or wireless fences is that you never know if your dog will stay in the barrier or break out and keep going until you've spent the money to find out.

Our backyard is fenced for the dog and the front is not. I wanted this Havahart Wireless Fence for two reasons, to give the dog some play space in the unfenced front yard with me and to be able to go anywhere and keep the dog in a confined area. When I say to be able to go anywhere, I mean if we go camping, on picnics, visiting friends or leaving the dog with a relative. The beauty of a Wireless Fence, is NO wiremeaning you can take the controller, collar and your dog anywhere. The portability concept is wonderfulIF it works.

The set up of this Havahart Wireless Fence is unbelievably easy. You charge the batteriesthey give you 2, but only one is in the collar. It's great to have the extra battery to quickly replace the one in the collar when it needs recharging. You set up the radius you want to contain your dog's space in, on the controller. You then place the controller on an outside wall in your home. Then measure the outside space and flag the perimeterour front is 52 feet by 50 feetyou must measure in a circleso we flagged 50 feet. The collar has an antenna wire inside the neckband, which tells you how many feet your dog is from the controller, whenever you want to checkwe found this to be a very helpful added feature.

We purchased another collar, as Havahart stated that 2 collars will work inside the perimeter of one controller, and decided to see if this works on 2 dogsmy neighbor's dog and ours. We are talking about a border collie and german shepherdboth highly intelligent dogs that love to learn new things and new games. The actual shock the dog gets from this Havahart Wireless collar, we tested against our neighbor's invisible fence collar. My neighbor's husband was the guinea pig. The invisible fence collar is an actual mild electric shock that gets stronger. This Havahart collar has one tonewith 5 correction levels. He said it was more of a buzzing, then became a sort of electric buzzing, then what he would call the shock, was about 20 times milder than the invisible fence shock. Our neighbor said this was too mild to work, but I was actually happy that the shock was mild.

Now comes the training and this is where I found out if this works for both dogs. A couple times each day, my neighbor and I just introduced the flagged area to the dogs with the collars set to tone only. We taught them to recognize the flags and the collar tone mean stop. This took 5 days. We then set the collars to low static correctiona kind of buzzing pulse that tells the dogs they are outside the flagged area. In the second week, we had to teach them to ignore all the wonderful things outside the flagged area and to stay inside when the collars buzzed. When you remove the flags (If you choose towe found out some dogs need the visual and collar both) and have the dog focus on just the collar buzzing, this is where you need to spend some time with your dog, as it was a slower learning process with the border collie because she has a natural tendency to chase and round up everything that moves. The german shepherd was an easier train than the female border collie with her naturally free spirit. After 2 weeks, the german shepherd would move back with a low level buzzing type shock, but the border collie couldn't resist chasing a squirrel. We will spend more time on the border collie, but she is such a free spirit, I don't know how long it will take or if it will work at all.

As for our german shepherd, he was trained immediately and we took the controller to my brother's home, where we set it up with a 65 foot perimeter and he stayed inside that perimeter for the entire afternoon. The mildest buzzing stops him, so I found out it's all about the dog, training the dog and not about shocking the dog. This is a wonderful wireless fence and the best part is, that if your dog is easily trained, you can take the controller anywhere and contain your dog with nothing but a buzzing collar.

We have been having some trouble with our beagle, Polly. None of us knew that beagles could climb trees and fences when they wanted to see what was on the other side of the fence. But she can. And she does. So far the bailout fees have been about $500. Our real concern, though, is that on the other side of the woods behind our backyard is a county highway. The speed limit is 50 but it's a dangerous world for puppies and other small animals.

Anyway, you can let Polly out in the back yard and then in a few minutes see her running in circles in the front yard. You can actually be standing next to her, thinking you are watching her, and she will turn up on the other side of the fence. It's like the fence is invisible to her. We have repaired and re-repaired and blocked access to trees and yet the dog is smarter than the fence. She can go under or go over. Either is just like walking for her.

The Havahart Wireless 5134G2 Radial-Shape 2 Wireless Fence could not have been easier to set up. I charged the batteries the night before and was planning on spending hours figuring out complicated formulas but none of that has been necessary. The unit should be placed on an outside wall. On the setup menu, it asks you what number you want the radius to be. Then the collar needs to be fit pretty snugly so that the points are connected to the dog's skin. The included collar is already connected. I didn't bother with the flags because Polly eats everything.

The other handy part of this is it lets you know with a beep when your dog is at the perimeter. Polly was willing to be shocked for awhile on her first visit to the perimeter and she was willing to keep being shocked while she tried to chew off the collar. Fortunately, the beep called us before she went too far with it.

I was a little freaked when I initially checked the setup of the collar and it said it was 10 feet. What it was really telling me was that the collar on the dog was ten feet away from the unit. That's a pretty sweet way to locate the little monster.

Personally I was against having a dog shocked but then it turned out I was more against having a dog run out onto the highway and this is the perfect solution. No wires to bury. No eight foot tall fences to build.

And now that she knows what I am capable of, Polly appears to be a much better behaved dog. I know she's faking it but that's good enough for me.

The following is a timeline detailing our experience with the Havahart Wireless Fence:

Day One: Set up instructions and video review. The video that comes with the Fence provides a pretty good overview of how to set up the fence. We popped the batteries in and set the perimeter so our pup could walk around the front yard but not reach the sidewalk. We did have some issues with interference at the side of the house but set the flag where the beep was most consistent. We began training with the pup on lead and doing the whole "bad flag" mean voice thing. The pup pretty much ignored us.

Day Two: We popped the collar on once again. (Note: be sure to measure your dog's neck before you buy this, our whippet was on the cusp of not being able to wear the collar.) We went out three times a day and shook the flag and told our pup how bad it was. He could have cared less, but not much.

Day Three: We could not get the collar to work and figured out that we needed to change out and charge the batteries duh. No problems after that except the pup was completely apathetic to those wretched flags. The family was highly skeptical that this was going to work at all.

Days Four through Seven: We introduced the static tone to our training. The pup began to get the idea that the flags were somehow related to the tone and he would wander away from the flags when the tone sounded. Hope abounds!

Day Seven: We add the shock and I drop out of active training. (What can I say, I am a tenderhearted wimp.) I watch from the window as the first "shock" is not felt. The hubby told me that the lowest level was way too low for our pup to bother with. Okay, so they turn it up a couple of levels and bingo, the pup hears the sound, gets the jolt and bolts back into the center of the yard.

Days Seven through Fourteen: The pup totally gets that the sound is related to the shock but we really aren't sure he gets the concept of the flags. But it is time for us to see if this fence will suit our purposes. . .

The sole reason we were interested in this fence is because we take an annual trip to visit family who live in a lake community. They have a large unfenced yard on the lake and any number of dogs wander in and out. Last year we either had to have the pup chained or we had to keep an eagle eye on him in case he bolted off. He is a whippet and thus a sight hound. Sight hounds are notorious for being single minded when they see something to chase and we have been told time and again not to ever trust their recall because their prey drive is so strong. So we really need this fence to work. Well, it does! We set it up with minimal fuss. The pup's training was sufficient and he only needed a couple of incidents where he chased another dog outside the flags, heard the static, got a jolt, and bounded back in* for him to keep a sharp eye out for those wretched flags.

The only bad things I have to say about the system are: the flags themselves are ridiculously flimsy and you do get "dead zones" where objects interfere with the signal. But I have to say, overall I was extremely pleased with the fence and look forward to using it by the lake** on future visits.

Highly Recommended

*One of the best things about this system is the fact that the dog does not get shocked again when he comes back inside the safe zone.

**Please note, we only used this wireless system with the pup being under constant supervision and in a lightly trafficked area. I would never recommend it for sight hounds under any other circumstance.

I train my year old Labrador with a wireless collar by Tri Tronics and she responds well even on the low and medium settings but she goes right through this fence when it is set on the highest setting. I tested it with their "heart" tester and it was working. When I called customer support to see if I was doing something wrong they said to shave my dog's neck! Also you have to change the rechargeable batteries every day. I liked the extra range it offered so that wouldn't be too big a deal for me if it worked. But what is most upsetting is not the collar but the company.

They only have 5 star reviews on their website. That's always suspicious. I posted a generous two star review for the product and simply said that it was to weak for my dog. I asked customer support if they screened their reviews and they assured me every review gets posted. They still haven't posted my review even though I received an email confirming it would be. Three more 5 star reviews have been posted since then. The company is not honest so I wouldn't trust anything they make or promote. Don't believe the reviews on their site.

The collar worked wonderfully for the first 3 weeks then started draining the batteries faster and faster until they would only last about 5 minutes. I called Havahart and was told you can't use the collar if you have any trees, or cars, or appliances, or a garage that might get in the way. This is made for an open field only. They refused a return because it was past the 30 days (by 5 days). Havahart does not stand behind their products. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company.

Get the Radio Shack spray cleaner for under $8 as a replacement. 10oz for about the same price. This is the same ingredient. The heads match and it works fine. Just remove the spray attachment from the canister. Other sprays may also work. enjoy!

We have had an ugly cover on our leather couch for nearly two years because our furry friends liked to use it as a bathroom (their way of making editorial comments). Now we can actually use the couch and don't have to cover it! The combination of the alarm and air squirting keeps them completely off. We hope to eventually set it for alarm only to avoid buying refills for the compressed air. Just be sure you buy the model with the alarm they also have one with just compressed air that would tie you into endless refills.

I don't even need the spray part of it turned on any more. It makes a whistle first, then sprays (if spray is turned on) Now they have come to associate the whistle with the spray and just skedaddle. Counter tops, back of my computer where the wires are. They don't even go near any of it anymore, as they know this thing is there. Pavlov dogs. Great great product.

We are a multiple cat household and I'm not sure how we would survive without the SSSCat Cat control system. We have several of them set up around the house. One keeps our cats from rattling our bedroom door in the morning, a couple of others keep them off certain pieces of furniture, and so on. We have been using them for years and our cats have never gotten so accustomed to them that the sprays have stopped being effective. Placing the top on the refill cans can be a bit tricky at first, but is easy enough once you get the hang of it. The refills may seem a bit pricey, but ours typically last for several months because the cats recognize them and, so, rarely set them off.

Sporn Nylon Non Pulling Dog Harness, Large/X-Large, Black

Sporn Nylon Non Pulling Dog Harness, Large/X-Large, BlackI have a 9 month old Boxer who is so strong that I would not take her for walks for fear of one of us being injured. Luckily we have a great yard set up for her where she gets plenty of exercise, but I missed being able to go on walks with her as she grew bigger and stronger.

I saw this harness on a dog training show on tv and decided it was worth a try. On the show it was used on a boxer that was even crazier than my dog and it appeared to have an instant effect. I decided it was worth a try. The first walk I took her on made me a believer. When she starts to pull it lifts her front legs off the ground and she can't get anywhere. The impact on both me and the dog is minimal. I now feel that I have the control to be able to take her on walks with my two small children. I highly recommend this harness.

This harness is great! I have a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix that seems to think going for walks means pulling me around the neighborhood. I had tried everything but the dog was just so stubborn that she wouldn't learn. I had decided that I was either going to have to reluctantly purchase a choke collar for her or just stop walking her altogether. Thankfully, my neighbor introduced me to this collar that she uses for her Lab. It really works. It's very humane, so the dog isn't hurt at all, but it really does make them stop pulling. The harness goes around the neck and underneath the 2 front legs so when the dog starts pulling the harness basically pulls the front legs off the ground thereby stopping the dog from walking. This is a great product and I will never use anything else.

I bought this harness for our 6 month old Golden Retriever. On the smallest setting it actually fits! We are excited about that because it certainly will fit her through into adulthood. It is easy to put on and take off. Easy to adjust. Harness has pads around the legs, not the thickest, but should do the job of making her more comfortable. She is still getting used it. But we are happy that she is not being choked around the neck when we take her for walks. She is a big-time puller. I wondered what the big deal about the mesh was. But now I understand because it expands for comfort (there is elastic supporting the mesh from behind). We haven't had the harness for long, but so far are pleased.

I bought this to use during the "training process" with my 2yr old Doberman rescue. He came to me completely untrained. Hes 80lbs, I'm 125lbs not a good combination if he wants to get to something. He tends to only pull to get to another dog and occasionally pulled me across someone's yard to see a dog behind a fence. Not fun. While working on regular leash and obedience training I needed something to give me more control of him. I bought this based on other reviews and even if he's lunging to get to another dog, I have complete control over him. It makes walking him and working on heeling a breeze. I have complete control over him with exerting very little energy. I'd definitely recommend to anyone else who loves big dogs but may not be as strong as they are :/

I was a little skeptical about how this would work, but after I figured out how to put it on my dog (it's a little confusing at first), I love this harness! My dog was a heavy puller and I worried about damage the regular collar and leash were doing to her neck, and it made walks less than enjoyable. My efforts to train her to heel were inconsistent (my fault) and any training goes out the window when she sees a squirrel. With this harness the pulling stops instantly. As soon as she gets to the end of the leash she stops. It's amazing! It even deters her from lunging after squirrels. Walks are much more easy and fun. I've recommended this already to my mom who has a 100 pound lab that acts more like a bull.

Halti Dog Harness, No Pull Dog Harness, Small

Halti Dog Harness, No Pull Dog Harness, SmallI am a dog trainer, and had this harness recommended to me over the easy walk one by premier. Having tried both now, I have to say I like the features on this one more. The harness is padded on the sides when the easy walk one is not, and has two points of attachment for a leash verses easy walk's one. I also appreciate that once adjusted, this one actually stays adjusted. The easy walk one would always slide down in front because the dog I was working with would try to pull and the harness would come loose in front. This one has stayed in place very well so far, and also has a clip to attach to the collar if it ever did loosen and start to slide down, which holds it up in place quite nicely. I will definitely continue to use and recommend this no pull harness.

I have a very energenic Boxer, 1 year. We have tried the prong collar, harness', the head collar..nothing worked. When I brought this home my husband said "we already have that", he was wrong. I'm not sure how it works but the fact that you can attach the lead to the front really helped the pulling problem. My only complaint so far is that the box didn't have a size listed. It's a little big, pulled to the tighest settings. The main thing is, so far it works. My husband runs with our boxer and was happy with the collar results as well.

Recently we adopted an eight month old stray from Puerto Rico (Sato.) Straight off the plane he was twirling on the leash, standing up on his hind legs trying to greet every dog he saw, chasing bicycles, skateboarders, street cleaners anything that moved! His behavior improved during the first month but he was still pulling me down the street like a little devil dog huffing and choking on his soft collar whenever we went for a walk. I felt something more was needed but I was reluctant to use a choke collar on a 22 pound terrier.

In the past I had a terrier who had learned how to back out of his collar and harness so I was particularly attracted to the Halti because of the safety strap that attaches to the collar. I'd also read about another brand that can chafe the pup's skin so I felt the Halti's padding was another plus. I did feel they could've used heavier weight webbing. For example, it's not as thick as the webbing on his 14 inch nylon collar.

The first time I used this harness the difference was like day and night. After the first tug or two he realized pulling on the leash wasn't going to work anymore. Suddenly my little Devil Dog was walking like a well mannered gentleman! Adjusting the size, (I bought a Small) took several attempts and I still don't seem to have it exactly how it appears in the photos. It seems to have a tendency to ride up behind his legs.

Despite the fact that I only put the harness on the pup before we left for his walk, removed it immediately upon return, and never left him unattended while he was wearing the harness, or allowed him to wear it in the dog run, after about 9 days of use I discovered he'd managed to chew almost all the way through the front strap in two different places! I do like the product and it does exactly what I wanted it to do. Maybe I need to order a couple more.

I love this collar. It is the only one that I have found which my 2 dogs can not "back out of" if they get freaked out by something. Is is super easy to walk both of them with one hand, I was shocked. Unlike, the last review, I have found that it does loosen up a bit but it does not stop the effectiveness. I am going to actually bring it to a shoe maker to get a stitch or 2 put in so that I do not need to tighten the front. I have a Goldendoodle and a Siberian Husky. It is also the only harness which does not make my husky pretend that she is pulling a sled.

I've tried a multitude of collars, muzzles, and leads to keep my dog from pulling. However, this harness worked exactly as advertised maybe even better. My dog recognized it right away and from the beginning she wasn't pulling as much. The beauty of it is that it controls the dog from the front and through their shoulders. As a result, you can literally direct the dog away from where you want.

Cardinal Laboratories Crazy Pet Train-Me! Training Treats

Cardinal Laboratories Crazy Pet Train-Me! Training Treats Beef, 3-1/2-OunceThese treats are the perfect size for training, and my pugs love them. I don't think they are expensive at all, so I don't know why the previous reviewer gave these only one star. The treats are about a centimeter in diameter, so you can give your pet many of these before they constitute an actual "treat" portion. You won't regret buying these if you have a puppy who needs positive reinforcement.

they smelled really good and my husky loved them! Not worth the money tho and not many in the package!

Pet Convincer - Dog Training Device - Air

Pet Convincer - Dog Training Device - AirThis device definitely will make a dog avoid what you want them to. In fact they are scared witless around it. I use it to keep my 100 lb. German Shepherd away from the goat pen gate because his prey instinct is a little too high, and there have been damages to the animals. But, especially on anxious fear biters like GS pups, I would never use this for anything that involved people, children, babies or anything the dog might be involved in for work. Never use it except as a last resort and for a serious problem. The dog will get very neurotic if you do. You will need to buy the box of extra cartridges because you will have to repeat this intervention every so often.

My wife and I did not buy this from Amazon, but we did acquire one recently to help curtail barking at the window when someone walks by.

We have a 4 y.o. shepherd mix and an 8 y.o. collie mix. The shepherd is scared of just the Pet convincer being in our hand, and if we click the safety lock she gets away from the window immediately. The collie takes a bit more to break his attention, but a short burst of about 1/2 of a second is all it takes to make him jump and run from the window.

We have a Norwegian Elkhound-known for their barking. We have tried the zap collar, citronella spray collar and training even bribary with his favorite treats. Nothing helped us with his barking. This Pet Convincer is truly worth the $... I seriously doubted it when I was ordering it but, we have spent so much on other ways that didn't work so what the heck.

Love it and definately recommend it!!!!!

Although I know the Pet Convincer is intended to be used to curb unwanted behaviors in one's own dog, I bought it to repel off-leash dogs who are allowed by their owners to come barreling over to my dog and harrass him while he's minding his own business on our (leashed and legal!) walks. Spray repellents can be tricky on windy days, ultrasonic devices bother MY dog as well as the problem dog, but this device suits my needs totally. Note: I did some positive reinforcement training with my dog to desensitize him to the noise. Now when a furry tornado comes our way, I turn to face them, hit the trigger (the sound is like a forceful snake hiss ) and I stamp my foot and that's usually enough to send them back the way they came and we can enjoy our walk in peace!

PetSafe Premier Clicker Duo

PetSafe Premier Clicker DuoI just bought this clicker at petsmart because I have two dogs to train. It is supposed to have two distinct sounds so that each pet gets a consistent message the instant they do something right.. Great idea.. But it just didn't work. The chimes took too long to sound (that instant between the dog doing the right thing and no longer doing the right thing passed before the sound) and the click sometimes played a chime and sometimes clicked. I tried hitting the chime button hard and the click button soft, but this had inconsistent results as well.. Wish I could get one that works ad advertised.

Rushed home from petSmart to try it out.

It came with 2 batteries...no instructions for insertion. Tiny recepticle, tried one battery..did not work. I was worried about inserting two and closing. Maybe I would not be able open it again. I ended up inserting both batteries, one on top of the other and closed the cap door. The signal light blinked on and off and clickers still did not work. I had a devil of a time getting the cap door open. In a terrible sweat, I had to jimmy it open. I guess blinking light indicates low battery?? There was a website listed on the package for further "help" but it did not have one shred of advise.

This product is way overpriced for what you have to spend in gas and time to return the crazy gizmo.

UDATE: I bought batteries today with the hope that the ones that came with the clickers were old and diminished and just needed to be replaced. No such luck. Upon inserting the new batteries and after a few seconds delay, a light started to blink just like the previous ones that came with the Clik-R Duo. It will be returned.

Another UPDATE: I guess this useless thing is still making someone a ton of money... otherwise it would have been taken off the market by now. Everybody who is duped into ordering this represents $10... Multiply that by unsuspecting patrons across the country and somebody is living high on this constant source of revenue.

I just received my Clicker Duo. I was a bit concerned because the other review mentioned a delay in the chimes sounding. I am happy to report that the clicker I received worked as promised, no delay to hear the tone for either the click or the chimes. The click is a little quiet but I am used to using a box clicker.

The instructions for inserting the batteries are non-existent and remember to turn it on before you try it out. The on/off button is fairly small on the right side next to the green button.

The lanyard has a quick connect attachment so you can wear it around your neck and then pop the clicker off of the lanyard when you want to use it. This should help keep it from getting lost.

All in all I think it will be quite handy!

Dogtra No Bark Collar

Dogtra No Bark CollarI think this is a good product. Has both stimulation mode and just vibration mode which is great. My dog barks at vehicles with loud exhaust and other random things, when he first barked with this on the freaked out that it 'corrected' him. He learned very quick as in he almost now thinks its punishment in a way if it's on so he knows not to bark.

Key on sizing: it just says YS300 over 10 lbs. YS500 over 20 lbs. may dog is 35 lbs so I order YS500, way too big. YS500 probable should say over 60lbs. They both have straps you can cut which are long, my dogs neck girth is 24" and the YS300 strap had 6+" left.

We got this collar because our 7+ year old lab mix was barking so much, she was driving everyone crazy, including our 3 other dogs. She has always been a huge barker but she just got to the point where it was really intolerable. All the behavioral methods we tried weren't working, and I tried those other methods for a year before trying this! This collar was recommended by our dog trainer specifically because it has a vibration only setting. The first day, I set it on vibrate because she was trained to an invisible fence pretty easily so thought it might work at that level. She noticed it but kept barking, so the next day I turned it up just to the next level. She barked, it zapped her, she cried, then she shut up and she hasn't barked for the past two days. I have it back to the vibration only setting because I don't want her to cry, and she seems to have gotten the message. So, although I have only been using this for a week, I think that if you need to get your dog to be quiet, this will do it. She is a 60+ pound dog with a big neck, and it fits her just fine even though it says small to medium size.

Only had to use the vibrating to stop my male poodle from barking. He calms down and doesn't bark. It really helped.

Our dog is small (12 pounds) and I had no problem cutting the collar down to fit her. I only had to set it on 2 in order to get her to quit barking. One day of shocks was all it took for her to learn (actually, only two shocks did it!). Now, all I have to do when she starts barking is say, "I'll get the collar out!" and she quits immediately. The best money I ever spent on our little Dusty. Life is peaceful once again!
