I have a female Belgian Malinois who can be a straight up bitch. We live on 22 acres, and we used to be able to trust her and leave her outside all day without her running away. Turns out when she's in heat, she likes to run to our neighbors dog so she can play, and one day, it took us 3 hours just to get her to come back home. After 4 wheeling and trespassing onto peoples property, we decided it was time for our 1 year old whore to act like a lady.
Me and the hubby shopped around online and didn't want to pay an arm and a leg, but wanted to spend enough to get a rechargeable shock collar. Read the reviews on this one, was skeptical, but it looked like the best bang for our buck. So we ordereddidn't want to wait 5-8 days for the free shipping, so decided that we would spend $6 to have it sooner (after all, $6 is only two packs of cigarettes).
Noticed on the Amazon Track Package dealy that it was in our town; went to the post office (since we have a PO BOX) to pick it up, and low and behold, our beautiful electrifying neck attire arrived for our egotistical horse herder.
Of course, like a kid in a candy store, we opened that sucker up right then and there (our house is 10 miles away from our PO box, no way we could wait). Everything was nicely wrapped inside a cute little lunch box affair; inside included a HUGE green collar, the remote (with a 9 volt battery already inside), cute little string attached to the remote, an antenna for the remote, 4 metal prongs (2 long, 2 short), a tester mechanism, a wall-outlet charger, and bringin up the rear, THE SHOCKER!
THE SHOCKER wasn't charged, so we plugged it in. I like this shocker because when it is plugged in and charging, there is a red LED light that turns on, letting you know it's charging; when it has completed, there is a blue LED light that turns on.
Another cool feature is the tester mechanism. After you completed charging THE SHOCKER and put on the desired metal prongs, you place this light thingy on top of the prongs, and when you hit the shock button, a light (on the tester mechanism) lights up indicating THE SHOCKER works!
Tested it on the pooch after all assembly and chargingtook her a few minutes to understand the whole concept, but it works MAGICALLY!! There are 7 levels, and lemme tell ya, she definitely HATES us now. She, however, has not run away to this day (:
Like I said there are 7 levels. 1 & 2 are really subtle to her and she doesn't respond to them, but she responds easily to 3 & 4. Levels 5, 6, & 7 makes her yelp and squeal, so we don't use those at all unless she is in an emergency situation (i.e. chasing after 6 point bucks and cars on the road). I like 3 because it's just enough to get her attention and send her back to the house, which is what we wanted. She's a big dog, and WAY to heavy to just pick up and carry her home, so essentially, the shock collar has answered our prayers.
I did not realize that you can add up to 3 dogs off of one remote, and there is a button and LED lights that make it easy to understand on how to switch between dogs.
There is also a vibrate and a beep on the remotethe vibrate does nothing for her, but we warn her with a beep before she will get shocked, and she responds to that very well.
All in all, from a real customer who lives on acreage, it is a great product and has made training our giant bitch a lot easier. (;This has changed my life! Our dog responds immediately to the beep (I rarely have had to use the shock). He is a very active lab who was jumping up on counters, chasing the cat, you name it... We could not let him out of him pen without total supervision because he would destroy everything in his path! He is a much calmer, well behaved dog. I love that it has a rechargeable battery too!

This product is not waterproof!! I bought this product and after using twice it stopped working, I though maybe it was a fluke so I returned and got another one. That one broke too after a few uses, too much hassle to return, do not buy if you dog gets wet at all when on walks.Read Best Reviews of Aetertek AT-216S-350W Remote Dog Training Shock Collar Here
Product is working out well. My dog really has really benefited by having this. I can now let her off her leash and she can run and play, and if she gets to far, or another dog comes around, all I have to do is use the audible beep and she stays put. Range is good, battery life is decent, and the 1-10 shock setting really allows good control over how much shock the dog receives. I keep my somewhere around 4 or 5, which is just enough to cause a slight discomfort, but not scare or harm her. Would recommend for anyone who has or wants to let their dog off leash.Want Aetertek AT-216S-350W Remote Dog Training Shock Collar Discount?
My dog has gone from zero to hero with this collar. So well behaved! No more embarrassing moments of him running crazy and overly excited when someone walks through the door. Now I can have company over and he doesn't move. I can take him on walks, still shorter length ones while we're learning, but I can still take him without a leash! I have a 67 lb boxer/pit mix who is just over 18 months. I don't need to tell you the amount of energy and playfulness he has. This collar is excellent. I was interested to see what my experience would be after reading such mixed reviews, but I'm glad I took the chance. I LOVE the collar and my dog and I are happier. We don't use the sound option as he gets scared and tries to run away, which can cause a little chaos depending where we are (house, at a corner on a walk, etc). The vibrate is usually enough to get his attention, but when he really needs to focus, I use the shock, but have never gone above 4. I'm confident in his listening and my control when he is off leash thanks to this collar! (We have only had the collar for 2 weeks!)
