I have a power chewer of a dog and he always has been able to destroy every self proclaimed "tough" dog toys within two weeks. Someone recommended Kong toys to me but he shreds them no problem. The Zanies hard rubber bones didnt' make it through the night. I bought him this green Goughnut and it took him over two years to finally get to the red center. It was well worth the money for it to last that long. They have a replacement guarantee but I honestly felt that if the toy could last for over two years in the jaws of my dog, I would gladly pay money for another. I would rather buy a toy every couple of years than every couple of weeks! This time I bought him the black version and it's doing great so far. I thoroughly expect it to outlast the green one. I highly recommend this brand of dog toys to anyone with a hard core chewer.

While I've only had the toy for 6 hours, it has way way outlasted every other toy I have ever purchased for my 85lbs pit bull who just loves to chew on anything we let him. He absolutely destroys tennis balls (2 chomps, thats it) and at the beach he has been known to pop other poeoples' basketballs and destroy frisbees in seconds flat. We started to give him driftwood logs at the beach to keep him occupied. That said, since I opened the package and removed the cute red bow that came on it, he has been diligently chomping as hard as he can and there is absolutely no damage yet!!! I am AMAZED! well worth the money, especially since if he ever does dent it, they have a life time return policy.... I am already thinking about buying the other versions as they will be the last dog toys I ever have to buy!!

Yeah, we were thinking "fat chance" this toy has against our Doberman. We gave this to our dog sometime in early December 2011. As I write this on Jan. 13th, 2012, I am AMAZED at this thing. No punctures. This dog can destroy the black Kong in a month's time, but this Goughnut (bought the black goughnut) is still going strong. At last, a toy that stands up to the Doberman!

Edit: It's now 11/24/12. Our Doberman has had this goughnut (the black one) for nearly a year now, plays with it every day and has not put a puncture in it yet! I am truly amazed at the durability of this toy. I wish they made shoe soles for people with this material!!

Absolutely LOVE this toy. My heavy chewer went through many, many "indestructible" toys, proving they actually were destructible. But not the Goughnut. He loves the toy for busy chewing then tossing in the yard at play. This toy truly is INDESTRUCTIBLE and my dog, Riley, has proven it!!

I have two dogs, lab and pit bull. The pit bull is a world class chewer, and my initial reluctance to spend the money on a GOUGHNUT resulted in eventually spending three times as much to replace all the cheaper toys that lasted without exaggeration less than an hour. Our pit is the sweetest boy in the world, but left to his own devices he chews the wooden baseboard off the wall, and gnaws the feet on dining room chairs.. I wrote another review for super Kong, which didn't even make it an hour. I have been around dogs my whole life and Ive never had a chewer like this..

Even with all that .. the GOUGHNUT has lasted almost ONE YEAR so far, and no pieces are broken off yet. Still completely intact even with hundreds of barely visible teeth marks. The only other thing.. I wont say negative exactly because it is probably part of the reason the toy is so durable, but it is quite heavy for its size ..and when thrown it bounces and has a tendency to leave scuff marks on the wall (black goughnut does). The green doesn't seem as bad. But be forewarned, if you do play in the house, this toy is solid enough that if it bounces it could take out a lamp or two..

In my experience when poochie expends great amounts of energy chewing goughnut without any apparent ill effects to said toy, this equals exhausted and contented poochie who is less likely to get into trouble the second my back is turned (this is big in my house)
