Our puppy is about 4 months old now and we've only recently completely potty-trained him. The bells were really helpful in the process... I would hit the bells every single time we went outside and try to get him to do the same (by literally lifting his paw and hitting them); now he goes to the back door and nudges the bells with his nose to get our attention. I think these will be even more helpful in the future when he's not under 24/7 supervision. I will say, the one drawback is that whenever we go out the door now w/no intention of taking him out he runs to the back door ready to come out but, what do you expect!
