PoochPad for Mature Dogs

Even though I had to put my little Pek. down last Thursday, at 17 yrs.,This is the most wonderful product since pockets on pants. I have at least 3 or more of each size, great for the motorhome. I had ordered others in March '07, but wanted to get more because they are so great!!! But then his Dr. said it was his time. Anyone that has a dog that is incontinent this would be a life saver for you, wicks the urine away from his body and even laying in it overnight or right away his coat is dry so there is no skin breakdown. Does this sound as if I love this product, it was a savor on my health trying to keep him clean.

Have been using these pooch pads for my Frenchie Bernadette for the last three months. We live in a high rise apartment, and with the cold/bad weather setting in, walks outside are not always possible, so the pads are a real plus. I was previously using the disposable sheets, but Bernadette would simply shred them to pieces. She now has no problem using the pads.

One recommendation to the pooch pad makers is to add a border/edging to prevent 'runoff' from the pads, as I prefer not to use them with the tray, as that is just one more thing to clean!

I also like that the pads are reusable you can drop the 'doodie' in the toilet, and then wash/rinse easily. I purchase three so I always have one for use while the other is drying.

I have been using these for about a year now. Seems pricey at first, but, they are cheaper in the long run after buying reg. disposable pads. I use a little bleach when washing them. And I do not dry in the dryer. I air dry them. Love them.

These pads are wonderful. Very reliable. They have made things so much better, as I have an elderly dog who has accidents. I am also using a very large EZwhelp pad...48 x 60. It too is very good and is less expensive than the Poochpad brand. I alternate using the different brand pads, and wash and dry each on a gentle cycle. Cannot speak about the longterm durability of either brand pad as have been using them only a few weeks.
