EZwhelp Washable Whelping & Puppy Pad 47" x 47"

I purchased this pad because I have an incontinent cat (due to cancer). I have other pads, designed for people, which work fine, I just did not have enough to cover the bed she likes to be on. I was also looking for something larger than the people pads, but still small enough to easily fit in my washer.

The pad is definitely waterproof and absorbs liquids quickly. The top material is smooth, unlike the fuzzy material of baby crib pads-good because claws do not get caught in it or tear it. I have used and washed it over 20 times and it still looks like new it is very durable.

The only negative is that it is very stiff, even after all those washings. 1) The cats do not like it very much because it is not soft and comfy, and does not conform to their bodies. 2) The stiffness also makes it difficult for me to tuck it in, and, therefore, it slips around, sometimes completely off the bed. 3) The stiffness makes it difficult to get into my standard-size washing machine. If it was more pliable I would buy several of these.

In summary: 1) If you plan to use this on a floor and don't care if it is "comfy", then it is very good. It is waterproof and sturdy. 2) If it will be used someplace where it can be moved around by wiggling and walking animals, then you will need to find a way to secure it in place. 3) Unless you have a large capacity washing machine, this is probably the largest size you would want to buy.

These pads are lifesavers! I used them consistently while taking care of my elderly, bedridden mom and so many times they 'saved the day' for me from having to strip down and wash everything! They wash and dry so nicely, and lay flat so that there is no uncomfortable bumps. They are great for the dog beds, sofas and anywhere you want to protect! Thanks!

These blankets are really great at keeping the pee pee off the floor....the only problem we had were the puppies feet kept slipping. Other than that, they worked really well. I will purchase more for next time

It's nicely made. They lay very flat, so no worries of puppies bunching up in them and suffocating. They look really expensive and they fit my Jonart whelping box perfectly. Gonna buy more now that I know how great they are.
