I had gone to several pet stores looking for a small, but roomy bag. I have a 20# and a 9# dog. I was finding large bulky bags, that I didnt want to carry around. I came across this one and thought I would take a chance. I am so glad I ordered this bag. It is the perfect size for clipping onto my belt at the training club. Can also use the velcro strap to secure to belt although I haven't used that feature. Doesn't stay well when clipped to a pocket though. It does however stay when clipped to a belt loop if you're not wearing a belt. Holds alot of treats and is easy to quickly retrieve. I use fresh food for training and the bag has yet to leave an odor. Very easy to clean. I Just fold down the drawstring for constant use and back up again to seal everything in. Have no trouble fitting my hand into the bag but might be a little tight for a large man's hand. This bag is perfect for taking on walks. I carry treats and my camera inside the bag and use the pocket on the outside for waste bags and such. I have had several people ask me where I got this bag and made comments on how nice the bag looked. You won't be disappointed!Want Kyjen Outward Hound Treat 'N Training Bag Fashion Print Discount?
This is the only dog treat bag I have used, so I don't have others to compare it to, but here are my impressions...First the CONS:
The waist clip isn't very secure when you're walking, if your arm swings upwards and you bump the bag, it can fall off. The front pocket doesn't have any sort of closure, so I don't trust it to carry much except a poo bag. The drawstring of the main closure allows moist treats to dry out if left in the bag. And the main opening was fine for me, but if you have large hands, the depth of the bag could make it hard to get a treat out quickly if the bag isn't full.
Now the PROS:
It's pretty inexpensive compared to others. It has a velcro loop to attach it to your belt loop, so if the waist clip is a problem, you do have a 2nd option. (I never had the velcro come loose while walking.) It's a small, unobtrusive bag but it holds a lot of treats. The black swirl style looks nice, so I didn't feel weird wearing it in public. The drawstring closure does have a secure pinch clip on it, so it will stay closed when you want it to and you won't lose treats. You can fit a small-medium ball in it (nothing big though), and you can use the velcro loop to attach a small soft toy. I used the velcro to attach one of those "crazy critter" plush toys to the side of the bag, while using the plastic clip to attach the bag to my pants.
One day my bag was mistakenly left within reach of my puppy, and he destroyed it. Now I'm debating on whether to purchase this same bag again, or try something different. If this bag's secondary pocket were a little bigger and had some means of staying closed, and if it had a D-ring to attach keys or a clicker, it would be perfect for its size.
