He broke a leg jumping off the back of the couch to greet us at the door, and we didn't want a repeat.
We also didn't want to crate him, since the high furniture was his only restriction.
This has worked perfectly.
We filled it with Ziplocks of sand, attached the included leash to his harness, and hey presto, a dog with a limited range.
We put the paw against the wall, and he can east, drink, sleep, and even play while limited on his range. No crates, no gates, no pens.
We took it with us to visit family, and we can keep him in one room, again without closing the door or crating him.
The thick leash has clips on both ends, and is far too wide and stiff to be a strangulation hazard.
This works much better than tying him to furniture he might tip over or knock things off of, or locking him in a room devoid of high places.
It is very well made, attractive, and does exactly what it says it will.

This product has worked great for my needs. I have been using it in an office environment to make sure my 10-pound Dachshund/Chihuahua mix doesn't roam the hallways. I don't have that much weight in it so he could probably pull it around if he wanted to, but it provides just enough resistance to keep him in place. And since you control the amount of weight, you can make it as light or as heavy as you want. The Good: 1. It seems very well made. My little guy obviously isn't going to do too much damage, but it seems sturdy enough for even a strong dog. The leash and bag are both heavy duty fabric that look fairly chew-resistant and the clips are heavy metal. The place where the leash attaches to the bag also seems very strong 2. The carrying straps. With these, you can kind of use the system as a leash, so if you want to move the dog and the bag simultaneously you don't have to unclip it. 3. The size seems adequate. It's big enough to put quite a bit of stuff in it but still small enough to carry around easily.
The Bad: None of these have been a huge issue for me, but I could see them being problematic for other users. 1. Buy the minimum size you can for your dog. I have a tiny dog but I got the large paw. The leash is way too big and sturdy for my needs and I feel bad making him wear such a heavy leash (although it doesn't seem to bother him), so I would recommend this size only for larger dogs. 2. The leash isn't very long. Since I'm using it in a small cubicle it's fine, but if you wanted to give your dog room to roam, you would probably need to hook it up to a couple more leashes. 3. The opening. The opening where you put the weights in is a Velcro hole in the top of the paw and I think it would be better with a big zipper. The hole isn't very intuitive and it's small enough that it would be a hassle to put large objects in it, whereas with a zipper the whole thing could open up really wide.
The Bottom Line: This is a good product at a good value. Definitely recommended, just make sure to take your dog's size into account when you choose which shape to buy. (This one is an option)
