My dog constntly barks at the back door so I would open to let her out. Most of the time she didn't go outside. Now she still barks at the back door, but rings the bells only when she needs to go outside to toilet. I didn't think dogs could figure this out, but it works. Now I am not running to the back door everytime she barks, only when I hear the bells. What a wonderful must have!

My dogs already pawed at the door when they needed to go out, or nudged the door with their nose. All I had to do was hang the bells and then I could hear when they needed to go out, from anywhere in the house. I take them with me when I visit friends houses with my dogs. They know the bells are their doorbell.Product came as promised and, more importantly, came with good directions for training my dog to use them. It's a little early to tell if it will work, also I may need to get a second set since it's a town house with two floors and we spend a lot of time on the second floor. Sometimes he will ring the bell just to go out and play, and after a while when we start ignoring him he'll have an "accident" in the house which I think is his way of saying "let me out or else!".
