I've purchased 4 different bark collars over the past 15 years or so. This one was by far the least expensive at just $12 and some change. You can't beat the price on this bark collar!

I love the fact that this one works on AAA batteries. You can find them at any store and they're not as expensive to replace as the button-type batteries that some collars use.

This collar has an ultra-sonic beep that can barely be heard by humans, but dogs hear it easily. The first time the dog barks, it gives a 1 second beep. The 2nd time the dog barks in a one minute period it gives a 2 second beep. The 3rd time the dog barks in a one minute period it gives a 3 second beep and a mild static shock. The collar then resets and starts over. This prevents the dog from being shocked continuously. We have a high-energy dog that barks loudly when we are outside but out of sight on the property. With this collar on he will still whimper, whine and howl, but not to the loud barking that is so annoying to us and the neighbors.

This collar came without the charger or any of the 'extras' it was supposed to have. Further, once my dog barked and set it off, THE SHOCK NEVER TURNED OFF!!! My great big, 90 dog actually cried -the collar went in the garbage. Do not buy this product!

I should of known better than to buy such a cheap item. Advertised for large dogs, the strap did not even come close to fitting the neck of my 100lb Pyrenees cross. I replaced the strap and followed the poor directions to use the collar. The dog barked just as much as before, and had no reaction to it. I checked battery voltage, tried different settings, and even held it to my throat while barking to see if it was working. It was not. This is a cheap item, poorly written up, and comes with incomplete instructions. So, applying for a refund, I got several emails from the company trying to tell me that it works fine and there must be something else wrong like batteries or tightness against the neck. After I insisted on a refund, they charge 15%, do not refund shipping, and it will probably cost me as much to ship back as the refund is.

Didn't seem to work so turned device settings up and then would shock even when dog wasn't barking. The price was right, just wish it worked.
