DOGTEK NoBark Pulse Bark Control Collar

I have two shih poos that are sisters. One has a yappy bark and barks at every noise. I bought this collar for her and it is working great. All I have to do now is pick it up or threaten her with it and she will be quiet. I like that it does not shock her like the collars she has had before and love the rechargable battery. The others worked really well but the batteries were always dying and it is hard to find replacements. This one comes with a charger

I have a 4 pounds maltese Pomeranian mix, and she barks when we are not home... or more like shrieks.

I did the test to see if the collar works and it beeped and lit up the bulb, but when i put it on my little dog, it does not correct when she barks. I even shaved the throat area so that the prongs touch her skin, but still no luck. Maybe her barking is too high pitched? Either way, I am pretty disappointed, and am still looking for something that will work. I borrowed a spray collar from a friend and I I think the spray citronella collar works a little better, but I am having difficulty finding something for a small dog under 5lbs, as the spray box is bulky.

Bottom line, if you have a small dog under 5 pounds or so, this may not be the collar to use. The mechanism is quite bulky and it may not be capable of recognizing sounds from a small dog??

The Dogtek Bark Collar we received from Amazon was missing most of its parts.

Upon reading the directions to try to activate the collar, we realized we were missing:

1 Neon test lamp

1 Magnetic key

1 Adjustment screwdriver

1 Pair of long studs*

1 Pair of short studs*

*The collar came with one set of studs installed so we are not sure if they are long or short

We really want to use the collar to change our dog's barking habits. We are 100% sure the parts were not in the package when we received it. How can we get the missing parts?

This collars works great, I have 3 dogs and I talk from experience. I will not recommend it to smaller dogs but definitly for a medium or large size dog. It is very efective. Dogs stopped barking after few minutes of using it.

I installed the long prongs and set this device on the most sensitive setting, but this collar does not activate when my dog barks! It just went off once, and the charge did not stop my dog from barking!
