Much to my surprise This Thing actually worked on my neighbors dog.The dog was an incessant barker morning and night,was driving me over the edge.It took two weeks but one day after he went nuts and barked from 6:30 am to 9am nonstop,He suddenly stopped barking.Man what a relief,now I can have my coffee and read the paper again in peace outside on the patio.This thing is aptly named GOOD LIFE.My neighbor saw I had put something on the wall separating our yards and assumed it had something to do with the dog barking since I had discussed it with him.I told him it was to chase away the pigeons that flocked in every morning to snatch the dog food. I didnt lie to him this thing also drove the pigeons away.When the dog barked at the pigeons the unit sounded silently and the pigeons would fly off.At The end of two weeks it had trained the dog and the pigeons. Reading nothing but rave reviews, I was eager to install my Good Life Pro. Was very pleased with sensitivity level; tried it out in the house the night we got it; someone standing behind it blew their nose rather loudly accidentally setting it off.

Put it outside, @ 7' from the neighbor's fence, where the dogs stand right in front of it and bark (at my cat, anyone who walks by, etc.) Alas, after three weeks with NO positive results, I called the company. These have an excellent track record to curb "boredom" barking, but not necessarily "protective" barking, in which case instinct overrides discomfort. :(

Company was great about facilitating return (I called on the 30th day--according to paperwork, the LAST possible day to receive refund).

While it didn't work on these particular little b@$+@rd$, if different annoying dogs moved in next door, I'd certainly try it again.
