do not buy this item it does not work,, i have a beagle we saved from shelter,so we live in a neighborhood we dogs must be leashed,,i trained the dogs for two days and then put on shock he got zapped two times and went in his box,,then about a week i awoke and he was gone found him at neighbors house..i took off the shock and walked the box premiter and it would not go off..so i thought maybe the battery was dead my unit came with to collars and two batteries so i got the other out,,but how did new battery die in a week,,put that battery in first collar and it would not work,, so i got out the other collar and it worked for three days,,went to wallgreens and paid 15 for a new battery,, now neither collar works,,i walked where i put in line and box reads connect was good,, so now i have wire buried and no collars that work,, i have have bought from amazon watches shoes pocketbooks etc never had problem till now,,dont waste your money i am retired coal miner never cheated anyone this is a joke i may quit amazon this is a shame,,i will write back if they try to make thing right if they will please keep your hard earned money,,god bless america and our troops ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,bad product

I bought this item thinking I could just replace my old unit. Within an hour the power chord stopped working all together. Fortunately I had another power chord with the same voltage and wattage. I plugged in the device and it seemed to work for a little while. It then got hot and stopped working all together.

Saying it doesn't workis an understatement!!

This product randomly worksI mean randomly!!

NOTHING CONSISTANT!! one second the dog could LAY DOWN on the wireliterally lay down on it!!

The very next minute it would zap the dog 6th away from the wirerather hard to teach a dog a boundary if it can walk away....

Save your moneyor take someone out on a date....

BUT DON'T WASTE IT ON THIS CRAP!!

I want to join the comments stating "Do not buy this item" It only worked one week. The controller is death and my dogs are running free around the farm. Also the caps for the battery get easily lost. We have seven dogs and whithin the first two days at list three battery caps were lost. The attaching/detaching systems is not the best, two collars were temporarily lost by our 6 months old newfoundland puppies, and last but not least one collar simply broke on my Labrador (and he is 10 years old so you can bet he was not running around). I think one star is too much for this item.
