we love the larger version of this harness for our 40lb blue heeler, but our toy mutt wiggled out of it and chewed through it inside the hour when we put it on to let her get used it it. such a drag!
I use this harness on all three of my little dogs. I have 2 maltese and a havenese. I would never us a colar on them. This harness inhibits pulling. I use it upside down on the havenese because she is only 18 mo old and still tries to put the leash in her mouth.It works just as well with the leash attached at the top. Also for dogs with lots of hair, it doesn't cause mats as easily under their arms. Some harness's that I've tried have matted their hair something awful. I have two of these for each dog, to have a back up but have never needed it, it's high quality material, well made.

I had bought this harness for my other dog, which is a Yorkie, and found it to fit the best, and work the best. It is also very easy to get on and off which I like. I also am very pleased with how it works with my dog. I have used it for about a year now, and can say I like it the best! My Yorkies are between 8 and 9 pounds, and the petite barely fits them. I almost wish they ran a bit smaller. So you might want to take your dog and try one on to get an idea how it fits. But I am most pleased with this harness which is why I am buying another one here for my other Yorkie.
