Cons:
* Very Loud (On the ear piercing level of a smoke alarm)
* A somewhat Lengthy Tone (I was expecting a quick chirp, but it lasted about 4 Mississippi's too long)
* Very Sensitive to Vibration (Turning it on, turning it off, wind)
With three `Cons' aside, it seems to be working well enough. We had to attach it (there is a clip on the back of the device) someplace where it would not be affected by wind. I found a good place on our backyard fence next to the gate. Primarily, because this is where our dogs congregate to bark at walkers. And, also for the large dog (a Saint Bernard) who likes to jump on the fence while people are walking by. Good thing it is sensitive to vibration, because it has stopped her from this bad habit (Pro #1).
Also, a point to consider is that it is not very effective for a certain decibel of bark. The Saint Bernard has learned to keep her bark quiet as to not sound off the alarm, which is fine by me. A quiet bark is much better than a loud bark (Pro#2). The Beagle/Basset Hound has also learned this trick.
Amazingly enough it has quieted the neighborhood (Pro#3), extending an approximate 50ft bark shield around our house. Not only have our dogs learned not to bark at walkers, but it seems that our neighbors dogs to the left, right, and across the street have also learned not to agitate the barker breaker.
Things other than a Dog Bark that has set it off:
* We have a train that rolls through town and on occasion the train whistle has set it off
* When we mow the back yardI love this product! I have been dealing with barking dogs for the past year coming from a rental house behind me. I have spoke to the landlord, tenant and called the police numerous times. Still everyday dogs barking all day long and it echoed throughout my home. I was on the verge of moving and while surfing the internet I happened upon the Barker Breaker. I had nothing to lose and for $27.83 I thought "why not". It has now been a week and no barking. I think the audible loud siren is what did it. The device is pretty sensitive and picks up other noises. I think that the neighbors finally got the message! My life is much happier now and I hope that it continues to cease the barking. Thank you Barker Breaker you saved my sanity!

My neighbors dogs are loud and annoying, so I bought this item and when I turned it on and took it to the fence with barking dogs this thing started to go off. It sounds like a fire alarm. It immidiately started to piss the dogs off and they bagan outrageously bark. I couldn't stand the cacophony for more than a minute. If you want to train your own dog with this thing make sure you take it out to the woods and wear ear muffs.Read Best Reviews of Amtek GNBB Good Neighbor Barker Breaker Here
I have heard great things about the barker breaker and was really excited to get mine. I live in a condo complex on the third floor and ever since I got my baby my dog has started barking. (not so great for baby's naps) so I thought this would be great... but this device is super loud and hurts my ears and if the barking didn't wake up baby the Barker breaker sure did! I think this one is great for out door use and not so much for in the home. I'm rating it well because my dog does get the message but it loses a star bc it doesn't say anywhere that its more annoying to humans than the actual barking.also a side note, it goes off when I am putting away the dishes so it's pretty sensitive to noises.
