Border Patrol Premier Wireless Indoor Dog Containment System, Bark and Training Collar
-Randomly shocks dog for no reason
-$100 unit required to activate bark control which in turn does not control barking
-Especially problematic in the rain
-False escape alerts
-Poor quality components (Battery cover on collar)
-Company does not stand behind product (I will remove this review if refund is granted)The level of sophistication and portability offered with Border Patrol is unparalleled. Initially intimidated by the setup, I was relieved when the entire process, including online registration, took less than five minutes.
Once I had the system installed in my home, I began to work with my dog, Cullen, a two-year-old German Shepherd mix, to teach him his new parameters. I was especially thankful for the varying degrees of collar cues during the training progress because it allowed me to teach Cullen without scaring him in the process.
My overall experience with Border Patrol thus far has been nothing but positive. I have total confidence in the system, and feel that the device has taken my dog's safety to an all-new level. I work more than an hour away from home, and especially love the notification settings. I have set it up so my friends and family also receive the immediate notifications, just in case he was to escape.

Ruff Riders Roadie Canine Vehicle Safety and Training Harness - Size Small1
Buy Ruff Riders Roadie Canine Vehicle Safety and Training Harness - Size Small1 Now
Overall its a pretty good design, although it is more work to get on and off my dog than I think it should be. It fits my westie well. I would prefer to be able to use the d-ring rather than hooking through the tether loop. Not sure why they designed it this way, but the D-ring on the tether is supposed to be used to hook on a leash. I clip in a D ring from the anchor point in my back seat and feed through the tether as shown in Ruff Rider instructions.I hope I never have to test this product, but if I do I feel confident that it will save his life. Dogs in carriers/crates will slam against the sides in an accident, I have a "car seat" for my small dog but didn't feel like it was secure enough. Now with the Roadie I know he is safe and secure if we are ever in an accident. Fits him great, nice and strong, no worrying about plastic or metal snaps and buckles to break. Best investment to keep my little one safe!Want Ruff Riders Roadie Canine Vehicle Safety and Training Harness - Size Small1 Discount?
Our older, Australian Terrier has the ability to slip out of any harness, and if she can't, she appears miserable and uncomfortable. For a change, she seems to be comfortable in this harness, and she hasn't slipped out of it yet. Without buckles or flimsy stitching, this well-made harness seems to be just the thing for keeping our dog secure...I hope we never have to put it to the test.Proper sizing is important, and the harness doesn't fit every dog, even with all the different sizes available. We have a smaller terrier with a thin, long neck and a deep chest. The X-Small chest was too small but the neck was correct; however, the SM-1 neck is too large, allowing her to wriggle through until the harness is around her pelvis.
UPDATE: We took the SM-1 harness for the smaller dog to an equestrian harness maker who reduced the size of the webbing forming the neck loop. The SM-1 now fits our smaller dog without slipping over her shoulders. Yes, it violates the warranty, but it seems to be a very rugged alteration.

Simple Solution Training Pad Holder

This holder keeps the pad in place unless your puppy is like mine and goes crazy scratching and biting at the pad and ripping it to shreds even with the holder. It will be good for someone whose puppy is a little more well behaved.Read Best Reviews of Simple Solution Training Pad Holder Here
I had originally bought a tray, but it wasn't the size it claimed to be (if the dimensions says it's 17x17 and it looks like a rectangle...it's not 17x17). I found the tray to be cumbersome and it's just sitting in the closet. Got this one instead and am very pleased with it. My yorkie puppy was getting a terrible habit of chewing/ripping her wee pads apart. Not sure if it was a game to her or she was anxious since I wasn't home. This has easily solved that problem. The frame holds the pad in place and fits the entire pad with a little bit to spare. Granted it's in 8 pieces and if your dog misses....you have to clean the plastic, but same holds true w/ a tray. Invest in some cleaning wipes for easy wiping. As for the assembling, it's not too difficult and I'm sure you can glue the bottom part of the frame together if it really bothers you. I like that the frame disassembles into smaller pieces, makes traveling w/ the frame easier.I use training pads constantly for a disabled dog. She recently began chewing the pads if they were left on the ground at all and would sometimes not make it onto the pad as a result of it bunching. I ordered this frame hoping to deal with some of those issues. It has helped significantly as it keeps the pad taut so that she almost always makes it onto the pad. The pieces are a little bulky and she has short legs, so sometimes we miss. The primary complaint with this product is that there is a top and a bottom frame consisting of 4 parts each. If you will be moving the pad around, which I do, they sometimes come apart. As a result, I have to be careful to keep it together. If I had no need to move the frame, I would have no complaints.Monday, May 19, 2014

Amtek GNBB Good Neighbor Barker Breaker
Cons:
* Very Loud (On the ear piercing level of a smoke alarm)
* A somewhat Lengthy Tone (I was expecting a quick chirp, but it lasted about 4 Mississippi's too long)
* Very Sensitive to Vibration (Turning it on, turning it off, wind)
With three `Cons' aside, it seems to be working well enough. We had to attach it (there is a clip on the back of the device) someplace where it would not be affected by wind. I found a good place on our backyard fence next to the gate. Primarily, because this is where our dogs congregate to bark at walkers. And, also for the large dog (a Saint Bernard) who likes to jump on the fence while people are walking by. Good thing it is sensitive to vibration, because it has stopped her from this bad habit (Pro #1).
Also, a point to consider is that it is not very effective for a certain decibel of bark. The Saint Bernard has learned to keep her bark quiet as to not sound off the alarm, which is fine by me. A quiet bark is much better than a loud bark (Pro#2). The Beagle/Basset Hound has also learned this trick.
Amazingly enough it has quieted the neighborhood (Pro#3), extending an approximate 50ft bark shield around our house. Not only have our dogs learned not to bark at walkers, but it seems that our neighbors dogs to the left, right, and across the street have also learned not to agitate the barker breaker.
Things other than a Dog Bark that has set it off:
* We have a train that rolls through town and on occasion the train whistle has set it off
* When we mow the back yardI love this product! I have been dealing with barking dogs for the past year coming from a rental house behind me. I have spoke to the landlord, tenant and called the police numerous times. Still everyday dogs barking all day long and it echoed throughout my home. I was on the verge of moving and while surfing the internet I happened upon the Barker Breaker. I had nothing to lose and for $27.83 I thought "why not". It has now been a week and no barking. I think the audible loud siren is what did it. The device is pretty sensitive and picks up other noises. I think that the neighbors finally got the message! My life is much happier now and I hope that it continues to cease the barking. Thank you Barker Breaker you saved my sanity!

My neighbors dogs are loud and annoying, so I bought this item and when I turned it on and took it to the fence with barking dogs this thing started to go off. It sounds like a fire alarm. It immidiately started to piss the dogs off and they bagan outrageously bark. I couldn't stand the cacophony for more than a minute. If you want to train your own dog with this thing make sure you take it out to the woods and wear ear muffs.Read Best Reviews of Amtek GNBB Good Neighbor Barker Breaker Here
I have heard great things about the barker breaker and was really excited to get mine. I live in a condo complex on the third floor and ever since I got my baby my dog has started barking. (not so great for baby's naps) so I thought this would be great... but this device is super loud and hurts my ears and if the barking didn't wake up baby the Barker breaker sure did! I think this one is great for out door use and not so much for in the home. I'm rating it well because my dog does get the message but it loses a star bc it doesn't say anywhere that its more annoying to humans than the actual barking.also a side note, it goes off when I am putting away the dishes so it's pretty sensitive to noises.

Alfie Couture Pet Accessory - Flashing Pet Safety Collar - Collar Color: White, LED Light Color: Whi
The only small negative is that where you "click" to turn on our off is a small square about the size of a half a pack of old school gum (think Wrigley's or something)...anyhow, it is in the sleeve of fabric but open on either side so it likes to slide out of it's casing. A little stitch on one side solves the issue though.
I will update again in 6 months about longevity and water resistance :)I really needed a light for my dog, for our late night walks, especially when it gets dark around 5pm this time of year. I was so excited to get this collar. The packaging was nice and the collar was bright. When I tried to put the collar on my dog it was way too small. There was less than a half inch of room to adjust the collar. I finally figured out how to make it fit, not looping the collar through the buckle twice but only once, and half way through my walk I realized it wasnt as bright. I saw that the battery pack was hanging barely off the collar. I shoved the light tube back in the battery pack and it lit back up bright. This happened over the next few days with less and less light each time. Finnally the lighting tube had been fully detatched from the battery pack, with a poor soldering job that did'nt hold, it is now useless. The paper that came with the collar said it can be taken back only if it's in brand new condition so it could be resold. This was a big waste of time and money. Im looking forward to finding one that works from another company.I can find my dog in the dark now! I have had it in constant use for a couple of months and it is still working fine. The on/off button is a bit hard to find.

After 1 week my 9 month puppy worked out how to open the 3 catches on the crate. The first time I thought it was my error. I should have trusted myself, the 2nd time she got out and tore up the fitted carpet. I now use cable wraps each time to ensure a closed door.It has 3 latches on the door but they don't close well and my mastiff has already busted out of it. The metal is weak too, he's bent it in a bunch of places. This kennel is trash. This is a very large crate! I bought it to accommodate my growing puppy. The wire material that this crate is constructed from is less substantial than previous crate. The door latches on the door don't line up with the frame, making it difficult to lock the door.Friday, July 5, 2013

Heard the saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks"? It is SO true.... My 11 year old Maggie will NOT use this product. It was a waste of my money... I'm sure if you start a puppy out with it it would be fine... I even tried picking her poo up from outside and soaked napkins with her urine and put it on the grass and she still will not use it... She will hold it till I take her outside, even if I work 12 hours she still holds it.... This can't be good on her!!!!!! Good luck everyone!
