The product probably worked correctly but we were trying to purchase one that was similar to what our dog was trained on which has a positive and negative tone. We submitted a request to the seller to see whether we could return the product which was not used, but the package was opened (which allowed us to determine the difference). To date we have not received any response from the seller. Nothing... This is disappointing as I would at least expect some type of communication. I doubt I will purchase anything from this seller again. No customer service that I can tell. We were even willing to pay shipping back and purchase an alternative product that had the features we needed. Too bad for them and us.

Definitely worked well on my 6 month old German Shepherd puppy. Made a world of difference taking her for walks and getting her attention when she got excited.

Unfortunately, it is not that strong and pulled part when she went after a cat. This is the second time it pulled apart. The first time it happened, I thought maybe I didn't click the links together properly. But this time, if you look at the links, you can clearly see the plastic deformed to allow the separation. I am returning to Amazon and recommending that they inform the manufacturer.

We used this on our full-of-energy Bernese Mountain Dog puppy (4 months) to train her to walk on a leash without pulling (or stopping). It works great, she's very responsive, and it's very gentle. I put the collar around my bare calf and tugged as hard as I could on the leash, and can personally testify that the discomfort is minor no piercing of the skin at all. more like a tight grip with fingertips. Highly recommended.

[[Update]] As our puppy grew, the pressure she could put on the links by pulling increased dramatically. Also, the method of opening the collar to let her out, namely disconnecting two adjacent links, started to wear down the plastic nubs holding the links together. Eventually the links started to pop open when she pulled on the collar, which led us to purchase a metal prong collar instead.

I purchased this collar for training my 6 month old Golden Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog mix.

Naturally a 6 month old has energy to spare and my dog is a strong puller. We had tried traditional collars as well as other specialty training collars with no positive results. We enrolled her in a Beginners Obedience Class and our trainer turned us on to the Triple Crown collar.

Immediately after putting it on our dog there was a difference in her behavior. She stopped pulling and began to respond to her training. When she begins to pull we give a slight jerk on her leash and she stops.

This collar beats the traditional choke chain and is easier for the beginner to use than the choke chain.

I found that the collar was easy to adjust and you can purchase extra links to compensate for your dog's growth.

The only downside is that there are no training instructions to accompany the collar.

I was really happy with this collar, and would give it four stars. But the design appears flawed. The pieces come apart so you can adjust the size as well as place and remove the collar, perhaps too easily. Maybe it's because they wear out from use, even though I've only had mine for several weeks. On three occasions now, the collar has spontaneously come undone. On one, my puppy ran into the street in front of a car.

The 15" collar is actually only 14" (including the string) around the OUTSIDE.

It is 11.5" if you measure the INSIDE (because of the spikes).

So if you measure your dog's neck, and it's 14", do NOT buy the 15" Collar for him without the extensions.

The extension, is a 3" extension .

This makes the 15" collar (which is actually 11.5") into a 17" collar on the outside, and a 14" collar on the INSIDE.

Since my dog's neck is 14" there is no "pull room". The collar is snug on his neck.

I need to buy ANOTHER Extension to make it loose enough to give a good tug, or to put it over his head without pushing and shoving, and fearing scratching his eyes out.

I know it says "do not attempt to slide over dog's head", but to link, and unlink these is hard to do. They need to make it easier to snap it on your dog, by having one link a Carabineer, or something. When your dog is moving around, getting the correct angle to un-snap those links is almost impossible. It also would need to be a bit longer to have the play you need to bend the joints.

It IS also Plastic, and seems like it would wear down after a few months of daily snapping, and bending.

It seems strong enough when it's new, but I now have to wait for more extensions. :(

I give it 3 stars because the measurements are misleading.

This collar is now our only collar we use. We had a leather collar, but he can slip out of it. The teeth on this catch his jaw, and he can not slip out of it. That is a good thing. But... It doesn't have the effect it's sold for. The dog still pulls like crazy when we walk him. I don't think the plastic teeth even phase him.

The rope part should be longer, so you can get a good pull on collar. that may make it so it has more of an effect.

He also realized if he pulls hard enough the links will pop, and he's FREE.

We use this in combo with the remote shock collar, and are happy. He can't slip out of this, and the remote keeps him in line.

But this collar does NOT stop him from pulling.

I love this. As soon as I got home I was so excited about this item. My dog is a rescue cocker spaniel and learned how to use it very fast. I put a wee wee pad (perfect fitting inexpensive pads can be found purchased at ) underneath the grill and at first he was confused. He kept walking over the grill and trying to pee elsewhere. I then grabbed some treats and told him to sit on the grill and when he did, I gave him a treat and told him to pee. He walked over the wiz dog a couple of times trying to get the hang of it. Very quickly he found a corner and did his business. I was so happy that I praised and rewarded him. He was very happy that I was even able to teach him some tricks afterward. Cleaning was easy. I sprayed water on it and then some clorox.

I purchased this as we prepared for our new puppy's arrival. He was already using puppy pads when we got him at 11wks old.

It didn't take any special training to get him to use the WizDog -I started by putting the puppy pad on top of the grate so that he could get used to walking on it (and one pad next on the floor next to it just in case) and then moved it under the grate. Now he's 14wks old and uses it for pee consistently and poop when he needs to.

We take him outside as well and he's otherwise housetrained, but I have a toddler and a newborn and am not always able to immediately take the pup out in the morning or be home from errands/appointments at times he'd need to go potty, so he uses his WizDog. It's made all the difference for us. He uses it when he's in his 'room' (when we're away and at night) and we take him outside when we're home with him.

I've worked in the pet industry for well over 10 years and will recommend this product to my customers. Great alternative to dog litterbox and traditional puppy pad training.

I've had this item for 4 years. My Chinese Crested is a rescue, with already developed bad potty habits, when we got him, that we couldn't break until this product. It took a bit for him to learn how to use it, but it has saved us so much heartache! I actually use my son's old cloth diapers, one on top and one under. That saves him from falling through the grates. I feel it is worth the price and time to teach your dog how to use it, though I don't know how it works for bigger dogs, because of it's size. Definately a must for apartment dogs, in my opnion.

This made potty training ridiculously easy and clean, convenient and after I taped little feet from the cat house onto the floor as 'pegs' for the corners of the plastic piece to sit over, it never moved unless I picked it up to pour pee carefully into the toilet. I used the (two? three?) scent pads that came with it, soaked in his pee too and that's all it took to get him to 'go' along with the word of encouragement. We never used newspapers once! I made a habit of watching my puppy and scooting a piece of toilet paper under his bum as he shat to catch it, and just dropped it into the toilet manually, making so I didn't have to use a scrub brush to get poo out of the grate very often. He started using at 8 weeks(shepherd mix)and chose to start 'holding it' to go outside 2 months later.

This saved the linoleum, saved on pee prints and accidental poo paws and as long as I paid attention to what he was doing when he was on the carpet and encouraged potty on the wizdog he *rarely* had accidentsand Kids n Pets liquid enzyme odor destroyer was the answer to that!

I had hoped this muzzle would prevent our little mutt from barking while in her cage. It does, for a while, but she is evidently some sort of dog-Houdini. No matter how we try to use it, when we leave the room, it ends up dangling from her collar and the barkfest begins. Oh well. She wears it comfortably while we have an eye on her. The problem with these "training treats" are that you can't use them frequently due to the dog getting tired of the (probably bland) flavor. They worked for a couple of hours and then my dog just lost interest. They are too expensive to consider buying again, especially since my dog doesn't go crazy for them. For a training treat to be effective, it needs to really entice your dog. I have taken to chopping these Natural Balance Dog Food, Turkey Formula, 4 Pound Roll up into small pieces; they are much more cost-effective and my dog scarfs them down.

Exactly as advertised. This harness allows my dog to stand, sit, lie down or move on the backseat and still kept her from falling or slipping when a fast stop was necessary. Other harnesses we have tried were much too restrictive. It is easy to use, easy to adjust the size and very secure and well made.

Have had this a few weeks and used it multiple times with great success! This is super easy to fit and adjusted fine to our slim, 60 lb lab. It took some getting used to for her (she tried to chew it off), but we took her on a few walks in the harness and now she doesn't even notice it. The adjustable tether is nice because we can pick the length and give her the ability to sit or stand but not enough length to get into the front seat. I feel it restricts her but isn't so bulky or padded that she gets overheated. It is easy to wipe down and brush fur off of and very compact. I do recommend taking some time to get your dog used to wearing the harness so that you are not trying to discipline them or prevent them from chewing while driving. I had to pull over a few times the first day to get her to stop chewing on it and trying to get out of the harness, though she didn't do any damage to it which speaks to its durability. Straps DO need to be adjusted occasionally for proper fit. Was able to estimate the proper size harness with no trouble. Great product and would highly recommend it!

I had been looking at these harnesses for awhile now since they are the only one I have seen both recommended by the ASPCA as well as Safety Rated. The problem I was having is that my boy is an Old English sheepdog who runs about 115-120 pounds and I could not find any stores that carried the XL. When I found it on here I quickly ordered it. It came quickly and was just as described. The setup was easy and my dog does not mind the harness at all. I have a tall, skinny standard poodle with long legs, and a skinny build that most harnesses do not fit. Medium is too small and large is too large. This is the one harness that actually adjusts to fit correctly, isn't a piece of plastic junk, and doesn't make my dog feel overheated with too much padding.

I have spent at least a couple of hundred dollars in harnesses that don't fit, while this one cost a lot less and fits very nicely.

I was excited to by this product because I have a very energetic and spoiled German short hair pointer that will keep trying to get on my lap in the car (I'm usually the passenger) .She is very powerful and knows that eventually I'll give up (she's also over 40lbs). I received this harness and I was happy to see that it fits pretty well and doesn't seem to bother her either. She was OK in the car until we stop somewhere were she really wanted to get out. We are very pleased with these. I bought the bulk pack as we go through quite a few of them. We have two puppy mill rescue dogs that still aren't completely housebroken, so we always have to have a pad down. At least they learned to go on the pads, although they will still use the area by the cat box if given the chance. Anyway, back to these pads. They are good quality. Thick and sturdy. We were using the XL OUT pads from Walmart, but these XL ones are larger than Walm-Marts and when you buy bulk, they are cheaper. I calculated we were paying 59c each for the XL WalMart pads and these pads work out to 50c each (at the cost of $49.99 for 100). So we will be purchasing these from now on. Highly recommended for quality and price.

My Golden Retriever can't seem to aim correctly on those typical 22x23" pads...and I have to put down 4-6 of them. These pads are a nice size and rectangular...they are a tad thicker than your average pad...and sometimes the filling shifts, so that there are spots without padding....However, for the price, these are a good deal...I found better ones (with better quilting), but they were $1 a pad. It seems like all companies are downgrading the quality of their puppy pads. I thought Simple Solution brand was the best, until I recently bought a package in Walmart that were made differently---cheaper and the quilting was gone. I've purchased these 4-5 times so far and they do the job.

I have 15 puppies and have tried many puppy pads in the past month. These are the worst so far by far. The stuffing is not uniform. The quilting is only on the outside, so the inside puffs up and the puppies love to chew on them. They seem more like seconds than first quality. Definitely a big waste of money!

This is my second purchase of the same product (Large 30x36) and my third trial of Mednet brand. After I finished the first box that I liked, I found the Mednet Direct had a seemingly upgraded version of this product (Ultra 30x36), which was $5 more expensive at that time (now I see it is about $23 more expensive). I gave it a try and realized it was the same product in a different color (from blue to pink). This is an awesome toy. I have a 55lb lab/pit mix and she is a chewer. She has gone through every other toy. Extreme Kongs, Tuffs, Nylabones, etc. Toys for her generally last about 5 minutes. She destroys everything. The thick nylabones last maybe a month which is the 2nd longest lasting toy she has. This Goughnut has gone through 2 years and is still in great shape. It does not squeak any more but she still chews it. No red, no parts falling off, just a great toy.

We have a pit bull that chews through most toys with ease. This "toy" has proven to be a much greater challenge for "Jaws". he has chewed and chewed, but it remains intact with no holes. I recommend this product for any dog with a high desire to chew.

This is the first toy that's lasted more than 3 minutes with our newly adopted pit bull mix.

At first she ignored it, but after leaving it with her for a couple weeks and periodically rolling it along the ground for her, she's decided she likes it, and will grab it and run around the yard.

I think she misses having toys she could destroy, because she does not put as much effort into it as with the flimsy toys, but at least this is safer.

I'm experimenting with taking it away to see if that helps, but it seems like she pays more attention when it's down all the time. (???)

I'm sure not everyone has had this experience, otherwise this product would have been recalled. Here's the story and it's not pretty. About 4 or 5 days after I plugged in the diffuser, my dog starting having liquid diarrhea and gas. I couldn't get a full night's sleep for days because I had to take him out every couple hours throughout the night. The vet prescribed some medication to give his colon some relief. Because of the proximity in time between activating the diffuser and my dog getting diarrhea, and that there was no dietary explanation, I thought maybe the dog appeasing pheromone was causing it. So, I unplugged it for a while. My dog got better, with the help of the medication of course.

Then, I waited about 3 weeks and plugged the diffuser back in. I wanted to make absolutely sure it was the pheromone and not just a coincidence. Well, 5 days later he started having liquid diarrhea and gas again. So, I unplugged the diffuser and threw it out, along with my 3 refill pack. He recovered soon after. I believe this dog appeasing pheromone is harmful to my dog. I'm really surprised no one else has mentioned this in a review. I can't have the only dog in the world that has this reaction to it. He's a hearty border collie.

I'm not necessarily saying don't get this product. I'm just suggesting you pay close attention to your dog's digestive health in the first week of installing your diffuser. If you notice any negative change, get rid of it.

I saw this leash being used by a local animal shelter. I have a 10 pound Maltese and 12 pound Bichon who both pull. Their harnesses cause matting in their hair so I was very interested in trying this out since it just uses a regular collar. It is fairly easy to get on and does work very well to control pulling. The only down side is that it isn't very long. I would guess it works for taller dogs but for small dogs like mine, it makes it hard for them to get off the sidewalk to do their business. Otherwise, they walk very well and it is very easy to make corrections when they start to bark.

My 75# dog continually tries to walk ahead of me and keeps pulling. I walk her daily and have been using a pronged chain collar so I thought I would try the Weiss Walkie after hearing it helps keep dogs from pulling. I purchased this muzzle to use on an English Mastiff foster dog. I have two cats and this dog had never been introduced to cats before. Some of the negative reviews crack me up. Typical modern day attitude, blame everything on somebody else. Common sense will do much more than any instruction manual. Petsmart can't control the fact that an animal is an animal, which is why it is YOUR responsibility to properly train your animal, and not turn them loose till they are fully trained and under control. For the first couple days I took our cat past all the flags and scolded him if he tried to go near them (without the collar). I had to be very careful and keep a leash on him at first, because he would freak out and run blindly in any direction(including up my leg with sharp claws) when he got shocked. Only after he figured things out and knew that the beep would be followed by a shock, and promptly back away till the beep stopped, did I leave the collar on him without a leash.

As a doggie diaper, the SammyDoo Pet Diaper is priceless. It does an excellent job of staying put and holding the diaper securely. It's extremely well constructed of quality materials and surprisingly low priced. Should it be needed, the garment can be washed in the washing machine. Just be sure to cover all the Velcro or it will adhere to other garments. Let it air dry instead of putting it in the dryer.

So, why did I rate it with only four stars? The product description includes this statement: "Swaddles and Comforts your pet to make them feel secure and helps with anxieties." The SammyDoo is not only meant to protect your home and clothing from your dog's excretions but, to make your pet feel less anxious and more secure. That was my sole purpose in ordering it. Our vet diagnosed our little dog as anxious and having separation anxiety. I hoped it would relax him but, I can see no discernible difference in his behavior.

You may want to know:

*If your pet is afraid of noises, s/he may react to the sound of opening the Velcro when using the SammyDoo Pet Diaper--mine did and didn't like it. A big drawback is that if the item is used for curbing anxieties--not as a diaper--you must remove and replace it every time you take your pet outside for urinating and bowel movements. There goes that sound again...

*The tag featuring the five-steps pictorial graphics for placing the garment on a pet are small and not so easy to follow. Additionally, it's hard to get a pet to stand still long enough to get it on properly.

*The size chart states a weight range that is simply not detailed enough. For example, the small size can fit dogs from six-20 pounds with a girth of 11 to 24 inches.

If your dog needs a diaper and isn't bothered by noise, this is an excellent product. If you want to buy it to make him/her less anxious, consider the drawbacks and personal experience I noted.

My dog has numerous health issues that cause him to have periodic urinary incontinence. He has for over a year slept in a Simple Solution Washable Male Wrap, although I gave up on the recommended pads long ago. Dog pads are not up to the job; I use Poise Ultimate Absorbency Pads or generic equivalent with much better success.

The male wrap is not always perfect. Even with the larger pads, they don't always contain everything. Because of this, I've covered his bedding (in his crate) with a waterproof bassinet pad so that he doesn't ruin the foam. It can be a pain washing these, however. Also, the velcro seems to have relaxed a bit on one of the two pads we keep in circulation. It will no longer stay on overnight...clearly, not ideal!

With that in mind, i thought I'd give this diaper wrap a try. You can see my fellow in his in the customer action shots.

Speaking of those pictures, currently among the photos is an extension kit an additional velcro pad and some strap lengtheners. These DO NOT come with this product. If you get this, you're getting the basic kit only.

I didn't find the item that difficult to put on the dog, maybe because I've been manhandling him into doggie diapers for some time. He grumbles a bit but put up with it about as well as the less complicated mechanism, even though he didn't care for having his tail pushed through the loop. As soon as it was on, he seemed perfectly fine with it. It didn't restrict his movements in any way, and he comfortably followed his routine through the rest of the day.

We did encounter some problems during the night, however. The velcro sticks to the flannel covering of the pad. It pulled the bedding askew and also pulled the diaper out of shape. We never had this problem with the male wrap.

Another reviewer using the product to calm his dog mentioned that his dog found the noise of removal distressing. This is something shared by the male wrap as well. It's something my dog has never gotten used to; he jumps every time I take it off.

After having used the item for some weeks, I have to say it seems to be slightly better at containing urine than the male wrap, maybe because it is universally snug where the male wrap has elasticized bands on each side. It doesn't always contain everything, though, and cleaning it is more of a production than the male wrap. Because of the greater area of velcro, it continues getting caught on fabrics, which remains an issue.

We have reverted to the male wraps for the most part but may pull this out when his health goes into bad periods. As long as his incontinence remains infrequent, the male wrap and bassinet pads seem to do a good job of keeping him comfortable and containing the mess without the more elaborate structure and the issues with catching on things. That may change if he develops more frequent problems.

My husband and I rescued a little 9-pound Maltese dog whom we named Lola from the puppy mills. The poor little girl had no socializing and did not know many of the basics: climbing stairs, walking on a leash, and most of all, potty training.

She's really sweet and we've come a long way with her but potty training is still not under control. So I decided to try this Sammy Doo Diaper Wrap. I ordered mine in small, which was the perfect fit for Lola. The bright red color and the solid cloth material are stylish and show evidence of quality craftsmanship.

Here is the problem: it's difficult to figure out how to use it. Lola was getting increasingly agitated as my husband and I with the help of a visiting couple tried to figure this out. We put Lola's tail through the elastic opening in the rear of the wrap, but then couldn't figure out where to attach the Velcro and where to attach the multiple straps. By the time the front shoulder straps were securely in place, Lola was totally miserable with us.

Once the SammyDoo Pet Diaper Wrap was on with a pee liner in place it did its job and Lola seemed fine with it. But then we were afraid to take it off and start all over again! It would have been a simple matter for the company to a) provide larger and more visual instructions (they do include hard-to-follow wearing instructions) or b) offer simple icons on the wrap so that customers know what goes where. I really like this whole concept but can only recommend with reservations.

The biggest problem I had with the SammyDoo Pet Diaper Wrap was figuring out how to put it on. The instructions that come with it are terrible, the company definitely needs someone else writing their instructions. Finally after watching a YouTube video on how to put it on I got it on my dog correctly. The other problem I have with this product is that it runs a little on the small side. My Shih Tzu weighs 17 pounds so I got the medium which is supposed to fit up to 20 pounds but it is a little snug. Otherwise the product worked great once I got it on him. I used Poise pads instead of the diaper and they are very absorbent. There are no leaks with this product as I have had with other doggie diapers and he can go all day in his SammyDoo Diaper Wrap.

Well, my little guy looks JUST like the model for this item and sometimes feels the need to mark his territory in undesirable places so I thought I'd give this a go. I've tried some home-made solutions for a belly band to help with it which didn't work out so well. I like how nicely this fit and it was easy to put on him. The problem is, he's not used to wearing things around him so it sort of freaked him out a bit and he wouldn't move or lay down or sit. I will keep trying with him, it seems like a really great product and I want it to work. Not just the "diaper" aspect, but the calming aspect. That would be great for those summer thunderstorms.

I have no problem with this product. It is very well made, and works exactly the way you will want it to. I only want to add a caution to be very careful using this with a rescue dog with an unknown past. I tried it with mine, following directions and being very careful not to overdo it. I tested it on myself more than I actually used it on him. He was totally freaked out. He did what I wanted while on the leash, but the moment we were done training and I took the leash off, he bolted and wouldn't come back to me. My girlfriend had to go find him for me finally, because it was getting dark and he was still afraid of me. We've patched things up, and I'll probably never put that collar on him again. He was a rescue dog the we got at about a year old, and I can only guess that something bad in his unknown past makes this the wrong way to go with him. I felt absolutely terrible for days.

Nonetheless, I've seen this used successfully on other dogs, so as long as you follow instructions and be certain that your shock level is noticeable but not painful to your dog, it could be a good tool. Just watch your dog very carefully as you use it. If he's looking nervous or overly submissive, take the collar off (after you get him in the house,) and reevaluate. A dog with an unknown history may have been very abused, and will find even the lowest settings traumatic.

Still, good device, works like it should.

I bought this for our new English Bulldog puppy. Even though she is an outdoor dog trapped in an indoor dogs body, LOL, she LOVES her potty patch. She will sprint to get to it if she does not want to go outside or if she cannot make it to the door. Well worth every dime!

Unfortunately she holds her pee until I get home. She treats it like her lawn and just sits on it. I'll be worried if she decorates it with pink flamingos.

Heard the saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks"? It is SO true.... My 11 year old Maggie will NOT use this product. It was a waste of my money... I'm sure if you start a puppy out with it it would be fine... I even tried picking her poo up from outside and soaked napkins with her urine and put it on the grass and she still will not use it... She will hold it till I take her outside, even if I work 12 hours she still holds it.... This can't be good on her!!!!!! Good luck everyone!
