We needed something to keep a new rescue dog (23 pounds) we adopted from pulling while on a leash. I purchased this based based on the recommendation of a local trainer.

Be sure to check out the main Premier web-site for sizing information. I had bought a returned a Small and Medium harness from our local pet store. Small was too small, and Medium was too large. But this small/medium harness was perfect for our dog and I could only find it online

I have a 45lb boxer/pit mix who is incredibly high energy and very strong. She was a rescue dog and hadn't learned how to walk on a lead properly. I have tried several harnesses with only some improvement. Tip: if you get a harness get one that has a D loop on the front (under the neck, like this one has) and not on the back as it reduces pulling. Many harnesses have the d loop on the the dogs back, and if you have a strong dog it just makes it harder for you to hold them as they continue to pull.

The quality is good and it's quite adjustable. The only concern I have is it can rub under the dogs front legs causing irritation. This is only really seen on longer dog walks or if you have the harness too tight.

This product is an excellent approach to walking a dog that really loves to pull. It works better than the easy walker harness that fits over the muzzle and doesn't seem to cause as much strain on the dog.

I have a 22+ pound miniature schnauzer who was still too small for a Size 1 Halti, and he's big for this type of schnauzer. So be sure to understand the sizing chart before purchasing one of these leads. The breed and size suggestions they give aren't necessarily going to work for your pet. I notice that other purchasers of this collar have had the same criticism, and if I'd taken the manufacturers suggestion, I would have gotten a size 2!

Otherwise, the product seems well made. I hope the size 0 will work for him.

Using the info provided for ordering the correct size (my dog is a 10 lb toy manchester terrier), I placed an order for a small (1) collar. The collar was so large, my dog immediately came out of the collar. I exchanged collar for a X-small collar (0), this also was too large. I finally dismantled the collar and restitched to make smaller. Now my only problem is getting the dog used to the collar.

I love that this is dishwasher safe. I was very excited to try different foods in the tube. I am a professional dog trainer and I am always looking for new ways to deliver reinforcers. I only took one star away because it can be messy to fill but otherwise, I love the treat toob!

Pros:

Silicone is easy to squeeze and dishwasher safe

Nozzle is well-designed, and dispenses treats with very little mess

Works better than other food tubes that are designed for camping rather than dog training

Cons:

Too small!! 3 oz was only enough to train my large dog for a few minutes. Would work well for small breeds, but large dogs or long training sessions will require multiple fillings.

A little difficult to fill--although it's easier to fill it with a butter knife.

Overall, I would recommend this product, because it's better than anything else I've tried. I just wish the company would introduce a large size that's actually large. I use canned food, so it'd be really nice to be able to fit a whole (small) can into the toob.

This product is wonderful! Despite its price tag, it is worth every single penny and I am the cheapest person I know (and a couponer). We have probably spent hundreds on toys that have occupied our 85 pound pit bull, Tank, for 5 minutes each before he destroyed them. As we have only had this product for a few days, I can only comment on the appearance of durability. The bungee is sturdy and the pole itself seems to be PVC. It seems heavy duty. The toy at the end will eventually be destroyed but it does seem easy to switch out a new toy. Despite this, I can say that this toy is changing our dog's life.

Because Tank is considered a "vicious dog", he is required to wear a muzzle in public. He hates this muzzle. Combined with the fact that he never quite caught onto loose leash walking (despite over 6 months of professional training and a gentle lead), walking him is a nightmare. Regardless, we do our best to get in a quick walk around our park before he gives up walking and starts going to work on that muzzle. The point is, that quick walk is not enough exercise for an 85 pound energetic breed like a pit bull. Not only does he need this exercise for his own health, but it has been shown that a well exercised dog is a happy, well behaved dog.

Enter the Bow-Wow Flirt Pole. When we opened the packaging, Tank knew right away it was for him. He could hardly stand the 5 foot walk to the back door. Before we had the bungee unraveled and ready to go, he was already trying to steal the toy at the end from us! Immediately he ran, chased, and back flipped in an attempt to get a hold of the toy at the end. In seconds he was panting and we couldn't stop laughing!

Quickly we caught on that the best way to use this toy was to reinforce delayed gratification. We asked for a sit. Tank whimpered, but sat. As soon as we said go, there he was again somersaulting as if that toy was the holy grail. As suggested in the instructions, we offered verbal praise when he got a hold of the toy. We used this as an opportunity to reinforce "drop it". Reluctantly, Tank dropped it and the fun began again. After 10 or 15 minutes, Tank was as happy as a dog could be and equally exhausted. While I would not say that this toy is a substitution for a walk, or formal raining, it is a great addition to your dogs exercise regimen. In minutes you can have your dog panting as if he just ran a half marathon.

I have a 3 month old standard poodle she already weighs about 20 lbs and is just a ball of energy. So far she hasn't been interested in most toys, and won't really run after anything that is thrown. I was afraid to spend this much money on the Bow-Wow in case she didn't like it either, but she goes nuts for it! The Bow-Wow is the ONLY way we can excercise her enough to wear her out. After playing with this for 20 minutes she's tired and stays relaxed for a few hours and stops chewing everything in the house. She loves the fleece toy on the end, which has gotten a little dirty outside, but being fleece should be easy enough to wash. Bungee cord is sturdy enough to handle some chewing as well.

Cons:

1. Requires a trained dog to some degree, dog must have the following training: Sit, release(the pole is not a tug toy and if used as such I foresee damage), off leash(toy works best off leash)

2. You can build one yourself very cheaply using PVC pipe, some string, and a toy you have lying around the house.

3. Requires some space, I would not recommend indoor use unless you have a wide open room.

Other Thoughts:

I love this toy as does my Great Dane Zoey. It is true that I could have built one much cheaper, but this is a quality product that I would recommend to anyone who is not a DIY type.

Yes...finally a "chase toy" that I doubt will snap like the two previous ones we purchased. I was a bit apprehensive about the price of this toy, but believed that the materials used would be so much stronger than other toys out there, and therefore be worth it. My hunch was correct and the difference is noticeable. The bungee rope will take the stress off the pole when a dog does catch the fleece toy, and the PVC pole shouldn't snap (in my humble opinion!) like a thinner plastic rod.

Our Wire Fox Terrier needs lots of excercise and this type of toy gets that done when he can't be walked. It only takes 10 minutes or so of running circles with this, until he is sufficiently tired. The length of the pole, combined with the length of the bungee cord allows for larger circles and easier "dart and dash" patterns. He loves this and so do I, especially in the deep of winter!

If you have a dog that needs this type of excercise, are mobility challenged, or just don't have the time to take a 5 mile walk,this will help both dog and owner feel good, and be happy no matter what.

My dog Emma is a terrier and she is small but mighty. When she comes in contact with another dog, she goes nuts. This collar with training she walks like a little lady. The collar is great, when it is used with repetitive training. I do not recommend this collar if you are not going to be consistent and diligent with your dogs training it can be dangerous.

Tri-Tronics Flyway G3 EXP Training Collar

Recently bought this training collar to replace an older Dogtra unit. We bought this because of its expandability and due to the fact that we recently got another pup. This is a premium collar with a premium price. With that, I expected premium performance to the rated distances.

I happy to report that I received a product that was worth the price. The range is definitely the full 1 mile range (line of sight), which I cannot say as much for my old dogtra. That collar got a bit spotty (and caused inconsistent stimulation over distance). This collar provides good consistent stimulation over distance.

This collar system allows you to plug in the collar and remote to the same wall plug, and leave it there to fully charge and then it will just maintain the charge when full. This is a better feature than you might guess, because it is really terrible when you want to take the dogs out but forgot to charge there collars. This way, you just leave it plugged in and it is ready when you are.

Stimulation is consistent. On my previous collar, the stimulation was not always consistent. This would cause problems where the dog would cry out sometimes, and other times not feel the stimulation at all. NOT good for training. This collar delivers stimulation consistently every time.

Truly waterproof. TriTronics provides charging through external flat contacts. There is no rubber grommet to pull back to insert a plug. This is a great feature because when you dog decides to roll in the mud, or jump into a swamp you don't need to worry about mud infiltrating the plug and cleaning it out. The same holds true for the remote control.

Control is provided by nice, large buttons. There is one for continuous high stimulation for breaks, and 2 for low momentary stim, medium momentary stim. Hold the 2 momentaries and you get a high momentary stim. This allows you to quickly change stimulation levels for different dogs. There is a knob on the top for overall strength. I found the knob to be out of reach when I need it quickly. I don't need to change the knob setting normally, however. I thought this would have been more of a problem (the knob), but it turns out that my old unit was so inconsistent that I had to change the setting constantly. This unit is so consistent, I rarely have to change it.

I do one with the system the collars don't have D loops to hook up a leash. While I understand that the goal with this is to not NEED a leash, usually it is not an overnight thing and you need to leash them occasionally to get to the training area. The dog looks silly with 2 collars on because of this.

Overall I would buy this again, given the chance. Very good product.

I bought this after my old cat became incontinent during a bladder infection. The joybie pads absorb small amounts of leaks (change every 2-3 hours), but for overnight use we had to resort to more absorbent cat diapers that I suspect are much less comfortable than the piddle pants/pad combination.

I have 5 medium sized dogs. And they just love these chews. This is the only treat I buy for them. Since the pet food scare I bake all their treats. But I do still buy these. As they are natural dried Yams.

My golden retreiver and my carolina dog love these chews. Unlike alot of dog treats, these are not made in China but the USA. I avoid dog food from China because of the unsafe food supply there. Exactly as advertised. This harness allows my dog to stand, sit, lie down or move on the backseat and still kept her from falling or slipping when a fast stop was necessary. Other harnesses we have tried were much too restrictive. It is easy to use, easy to adjust the size and very secure and well made.

Have had this a few weeks and used it multiple times with great success! This is super easy to fit and adjusted fine to our slim, 60 lb lab. It took some getting used to for her (she tried to chew it off), but we took her on a few walks in the harness and now she doesn't even notice it. The adjustable tether is nice because we can pick the length and give her the ability to sit or stand but not enough length to get into the front seat. I feel it restricts her but isn't so bulky or padded that she gets overheated. It is easy to wipe down and brush fur off of and very compact. I do recommend taking some time to get your dog used to wearing the harness so that you are not trying to discipline them or prevent them from chewing while driving. Straps DO need to be adjusted occasionally for proper fit. Was able to estimate the proper size harness with no trouble. Great product and would highly recommend it!

I had been looking at these harnesses for awhile now since they are the only one I have seen both recommended by the ASPCA as well as Safety Rated. The problem I was having is that my boy is an Old English sheepdog who runs about 115-120 pounds and I could not find any stores that carried the XL. When I found it on here I quickly ordered it. It came quickly and was just as described. The setup was easy and my dog does not mind the harness at all. He now wears it every time he is in the car and can comfortably sit as well as lay down but is more secured and now safe! I would definitely recommend it to others!

I have a tall, skinny standard poodle with long legs, and a skinny build that most harnesses do not fit. Medium is too small and large is too large. This is the one harness that actually adjusts to fit correctly, isn't a piece of plastic junk, and doesn't make my dog feel overheated with too much padding.

I have spent at least a couple of hundred dollars in harnesses that don't fit, while this one cost a lot less and fits very nicely.

I was excited to by this product because I have a very energetic and spoiled German short hair pointer that will keep trying to get on my lap in the car (I'm usually the passenger) .She is very powerful and knows that eventually I'll give up (she's also over 40lbs). I received this harness and I was happy to see that it fits pretty well and doesn't seem to bother her either. She was OK in the car until we stop somewhere were she really wanted to get out. It seem to be really easy for her to slip out of the harness, and she managed to do it two more times..I checked the harness afterwards, it didn't seem to get loosen so I'm wondering why it doesn't work..Is it the fact that she has a large chest compared with her head (still doesn't make sense since the harness goes over her legs also). My dog is in no way, shape or form attracted to this product. We squirted it on the pet mat had to stick his nose in it and he was not interested at all.
