IRIS Plastic Exercise / Containment Pet Pen for Dogs, White

This product is absolutely INCREDIBLE. I have a chihuahua who's almost 11 years old, and has occasional accidents. Since having the carpeting replaced, and not wanting to put her into a claustrophobic kennel (just seemed wrong), I went for this product. It's so roomy! and the design is feminine, sturdy, lightweight and open. The gate is so well made and very cute and useful.

For those of us who work and need to keep our pets in a controlled area when we can't watch for accidents, this pet pen is a lifesaver and my dog absolutely loves it. There's enough room for a oil-filled heater, her large burrow bed and blankets, water bowl, bone-chewing/play area. Also, I sectioned off a small area for her potty pads. This way she doesn't have to "hold it" when I'm gone for longer periods of time. The pen is so roomy, that there's plenty of distance between the potty pads, her bed, and water dish. You can also customizing the shape of the pen. It's the greatest!

In terms of waterproofing, I lined the bottom with a shower curtain from the dollar store and topped with a queen-sized quilt. It's soft and comfy and accident-proof! Even my cat sneaks in there to catch a few winks.

This is so much better than a kennel or keeping your pet in the bathroom while you're away.

The Iris pen has stood the test of time, and has saved my dog from having to be in a confined, oppressive area while I'm away at work during the day. Today, I am purchasing another of these pens, which will serve as fencing around the patio of my small cottage. Can't think of a more perfect weather resistant, durable, SAFE fence for my dog (and cat who can't jump high distances) to play within outdoors. Two of these pens linked together will provide a rather large fenced area (over 12 feet).

From a distance, the fencing appears as a picket fence and really enhances the look of my patio. This will not only serve to keep the pets safe, but will wash up with a hose, never dry rot or warp. Will cover a portion of the fencing with some type of tarp for when it rains.

Still say this is the best purchase I've ever made on Amazon, and I buy lots of stuff.

I purchased this for my little yorkshire terrier to stay in when we all leave the house to go to work. Its wonderful. It is the perfect size and doesnt take up alot of room. My little dog likes to jump up and stand against the walls of this product and they dont fall or shake so it is very sturdy yet very light. It took me a minute to assemble the product and the little door makes it so great we leave it open and my little dog goes in and comes out when he wants. This is a great buy and cheap too.

We have 2 full-size pugs that enjoy their new pen. At first I was skeptical if they would not lean on the sides and knock it over as Mini Me weighs 18 pounds and Lexi weighs approximately 12 pounds. They can stand up and lean on the sides with no problem. Currently, I have it in the kitchen so they can watch me cook and clean and it works out great. It is light enough to take down when not in use. I like their new pen because the top is open and I can reach down and pet them and give them their treats without having to open the door constantly. It is large enough that their large bed fits great in the pen with plenty of room also for their play toys. They can watch me work but yet are not under my feet while cleaning. I highly recommend this pen.

I have to keep my 70lb lab calm and still while she recovers from a knee injury, and this pen helps a lot. She sleeps in it (her bed goes inside) and hasn't figured out how to escape. She's never been an "escape artist", but I think it would be pretty hard for her to get out because the sides are really tall. I disagree with the reviewer how said that the plastic is flimsy. It seems sturdy enough for me!

We call this our pet apartment. We have two miniature dachshunds who stay inside our home all day while we are away at work. They love their apartment. It is big enough inside for them to have their bed, food, water, potty pads, and play area. One of the great things about this particular one is that you can reshape it so that it can take on just about any shape...even go around corners like we have it doing now in our home. We even went out of town and packed it down so that we could take it with us. (It is so easy to take apart and put up!)

The sides are tall enough so that our babies can not begin to jump over it. It is sturdy enough that they jump onto the sides and lean on it with no wavering of the structure...when it is all connected.

It does not mar the floor. What a plus!!! I don't know how we ever got along without this!!!

I did not buy this collar from Amazon. I bought it from my local store and paid almost twice what it's for sale on here for. So of course I wish I had checked here first. But thanks to this collar my dog never barks. I didn't want to shock my dog and the citronella collars are too expensive. I was kinda weary because it is almost 1/3rd the price of the competition. I tried it by barking into it myself and just felt a vibration from the collar. I put it on my border collie and she barked once at my cat and she immediately stopped. She tried a few more times and stopped after the first time. Now I only have to show her the collar if she starts to bark and she stops.

I have a miniature American Eskimo dog who hadn't been socialized well as a puppy and tended to be aggressive around strangers and other animals because of her own fear. We've worked hard to rehabilitate her and she's come a long way, but is so anxious that she still barks like crazy when a stranger appears, the kids downstairs are playing outside, the dogs next door bark, or when the doorbell rings (even on TV!). Once she goes into that "red zone," her eyes glaze over and it takes 20 minutes to calm her down. We bought this remote trainer in the hopes that it would stop the anxious barking.

Oh. My. Gosh. Her reaction was almost immediate! The next time she started barking, I hit the button once and she perked her ears up, stopped barking, and ran to me. I was shocked. We tested it again by ringing the doorbell, and this time it was one little yip, then she went and laid on her bed. (Wha?!?) It was amazing. I guess the noise distracts her enough to pull her out of that anxious mode and reroutes her brain so she doesn't work herself up. It even seems to work on the agression. When she growled at my husband because he sat on the couch next to me, I hit the button, she shook her head, then ran up and licked him. Wow! It's like a magic remote control, and we rarely even have to use it anymore. She's learned quickly what behavior we want, without yelling at her. Now we're focusing on curbing the aggression towards other dogs, and getting her to come when called, though I haven't had to use the remote yet. It's definitely progress! She's become visibly more loving and happy now that her mind doesn't put itself into that anxious cycle too often.

Now, that being said, I think this will only work for SOME dogs. My mom tried it on her Golden Retrievers and they just kept barking, ignoring the sound completely. I think it will work best for dogs who are especially sensitive to sounds, and from what I've heard, smaller dogs seem to be more of this type. So I'd suggest borrowing a friend's or getting the $10 "Bark-Off" at Bed, Bath and Beyond first to test out the idea of sound training. If your dog responds to it, then spring for this remote. I'd say it's definitely a great tool if your dog responds to sound!

I love this thing. I purchased mine through Petco in an attempt to correct my cat's bad behaviors. He would wake me up at 3 in the morning pawing on the blinds trying to get outside, claw at the furniture and occasionally become aggressive. One quick press of the button, even if I am in another room, causes him to instantly stop his annoying behaviors! This thing has definitely allowed me to get better sleep. A great device for cats with behavioral problems!

First off, it's a tool. You have to use it as part of your training. Otherwise it won't work. You can't expect it to change the dog's behavior right away. I made this mistake.

I have 2 dogs. A poodle and an aussie. My aussie really took to the device. She was very sensitive to the remote trainer. My poodle is very thick headed. He doesn't understand half of the things I try to teach him unless it involves food. So, it worked for the aussie, but not for the poodle. You just gotta find out what works best on your dog. You know if your dog is trainable or not.

As for what you hear, you can hear one tone, quietly and very high pitched. The other tone you can't hear at all. I can't remember which tone (positive/negative) was which, tho. It also takes a 9 volt battery.

My dog definitely heard the remote she would stop for a very brief second, look at the remote with her ears perked up, then go about whatever it was she had been doing. It did nothing to discourage negative behavior.

I bought this product at a local Petco, hoping it would shut up the horrible barking dogs our neighbors refuse to control. I brought it home and pointed it first at my own two dogs. One dog (at a distance of only about 5 feet) had no reaction at all; the other dog just perked up his ears and then went about his business. Outside, the neighbor dogs didn't even respond to it (not even a flick of the ears) and our dogs just ignored it totally.

Our cat, however, FREAKED OUT and clearly heard the noise.

Great for cats, very, very ineffective for dogs (at least the four I tested it on).

I bought this after my old cat became incontinent during a bladder infection. The joybie pads absorb small amounts of leaks (change every 2-3 hours), but for overnight use we had to resort to more absorbent cat diapers that I suspect are much less comfortable than the piddle pants/pad combination.

This run is ok for a small dog. We have a Husky that is under 50 pounds but he has it kinked and almost broken in 3 days. The cable is pretty thin. For a dog that isn't as strong it would work just fine.

We have a hyper beagle, could be an oxy moron but none the less he would have to be crated every night or he would get into everything. Then he started to whine every night, worse than a baby...tried a few things. Found this leash and he is now chained to a door. Perfect length and thickness for keeping the dog in one spot overnight near the family. He doesn't whine anymore!! Sleeps through the night.

It is very hard to find chain leashes any more. They are good for years and years. This one is not only strong enough for our Jack Russell monster puppy, it is beautifully made and attractive. It should take Gracie's whole lifetime to wear it out.

This chain leash is not very good for large breed dogs. The leash is long enough; however, it is not really 1/2 (.5) inches thick. It's about 1/4 thick; which, if you're expecting to put it to a though/mean large breed dog. It will hurt your hands, rip apart the nylon handle, or snap altogether.

I will use the Chain b/c I'm using it on my docile female old-English shepherd which was trained not to pull.

Finally, the clasp is way too small. If you want to use it to grab a multi-ring collar, it won't work for you.

If you need a though and decent-medium chain leash, this is not the chain you want.

I recommend the Coastal Pet Titan over this one for a large breed dog.

Titan Snap-On Pinch Training Dog Collar

The sticky big latch is *not* unique to this manufacturer of an otherwise fine product. I feel guilty about docking the rating a star over an industry standard, but inherently sticky, latch.

I guess I can understand why someone would think a larger latch is easier to handle -particularly with gloves on. BUT, big latches jam quite easily.

I trotted down to my friendly neighborhood pet stores and checked out the latches on their pinch collars. All were this large size and and had the same tong like design. All were sticky to operate like this one.

I prefer the smaller plier like latch; but, it too is not without problems. In use the smaller latch can slip into the loop of the end pinch link. That opens the latch and the collar drops off much to the delight of a fast escaping mutt.

[BTW, the trick with the small latch is to fit the collar by removing links until you are just able to latch and unlatch it without punishing your dog. During the last 10 years and two large dogs I've never had a small latch open on a properly fitted collar.]

The longer larger latch may be less prone to releasing a poorly fitted collar with too many links in it. But a poorly fitted collar doesn't work as it should and ultimately does the dog and owner a disservice.

OK, enough ranting about latches.

The collar is well made with smooth prong tips and heavy chrome plating. Frankly, I can't see the difference between it and the name brand collars costing at least twice as much. And, it arrived in Washington DC promptly and well packed.

We bought one of these almost three years ago and it has helped us tremendously. I confronted our neighbor about three years ago about his dogs barking, he told me if I had a problem with his dog barking to call the police, I did! He tried to have a restraining order put on us so we couldn't call the police, the judge quickly threw it out and told him to keep his dogs quiet, which he never did. So when he saw me putting this thing up he went balistic. The dogs kennel is about 7ft from my garage where I hung it. The barking is down to less than a quarter of what it used to be. I have had my best results putting it on the setting so the neighbors hear it also,apparently they don't like to hear it ! Too Bad, so sad! The dog gets used to it so every once in a while I unplug it for a day or so. When it is unplugged you definitely hear an increase in barking. Plug it back in and you definitely hear the difference. It has really helped us where the neighbor wouldn't do anything and the cops always showed up after it stopped barking !

I used to live in a quiet neighborhood with three yappy Australian Shepherds, one of them next door, and two more on the other side of it (so they were two doors down from me). I was skeptical, but the dogs were driving us nuts. I installed a Bark Free (before the Super model was released), and the dogs quickly learned to shut up. It was remarkable. They would still bark once or twice if they got super-excited, but it stopped nearly 100% of their bored "I wish someone would let me exercise" barking. I only considered using the Ultrasonic mode.

My only other word of advice is that a competitive product, the Dog Silencer Pro, is a worthless piece of garbage, and even in "Ultrasonic" mode, it produces a piercing screech heard by everyone, including humans. Avoid that one at all costs.

I purchased the BARK FREE device for my two 9 week old puppies. Beagles are known as barkers (well, all dogs are). I found that it really does work, on both the ultrasonic and audible settings. I did find that almost anything loud will set it off. Most advertising for this product says the machine can distinquish between background noise and the bark. I have found this is false. I have tried setting the device to high and low sensitivity, but this did nothing. The BARK FREE does work, but if it always goes off the dog will learn to ignore the sounds. I use it sparingly and this has worked. If you are looking for a total problem solver for your barking petthis is not the product for you. If you've read up on dog training and use the BARK FREE as a support tool, it will work.

I was sleepless and willing to try anything. I mounted this device on a pole facing the the neighbor's back porch, where he left his dog all night to bark incessantly. I gave this to my neighbor across the street who said he'd tried everything on his dog and had decided she was just a "barker." It worked immediately and completely. (I would only use it in ultrasonic mode because the audible mode will further annoy your neighbors.)

This is the same ingredient. The heads match and it works fine. Just remove the spray attachment from the canister. Other sprays may also work. enjoy!

We have had an ugly cover on our leather couch for nearly two years because our furry friends liked to use it as a bathroom (their way of making editorial comments). Now we can actually use the couch and don't have to cover it! The combination of the alarm and air squirting keeps them completely off. We hope to eventually set it for alarm only to avoid buying refills for the compressed air. I have had kitties all my life, and as all know, they are not prone to taking orders. LOL If youo have a spot or spots you need to keep them away from, GET THIS PRODUCT. It is incredibly effective. I don't even need the spray part of it turned on any more. It makes a whistle first, then sprays (if spray is turned on) Now they have come to associate the whistle with the spray and just skedaddle. Counter tops, back of my computer where the wires are. They don't even go near any of it anymore, as they know this thing is there. Pavlov dogs. Great great product.

We are a multiple cat household and I'm not sure how we would survive without the SSSCat Cat control system. We have several of them set up around the house. One keeps our cats from rattling our bedroom door in the morning, a couple of others keep them off certain pieces of furniture, and so on. We have been using them for years and our cats have never gotten so accustomed to them that the sprays have stopped being effective. Placing the top on the refill cans can be a bit tricky at first, but is easy enough once you get the hang of it. The refills may seem a bit pricey, but ours typically last for several months because the cats recognize them and, so, rarely set them off.

This crate is greatsturdy, handy, and well-made....but the door is completely too small! My IG fits perfectly and comfortably in this crate, but can barely get in the door. It seems that a dog that can fit in this door would probably want a somewhat smaller crate entirely. I was in a pinch for time and therefore had to use it rather than taking the time to return it, so I will probably end up donating it to a shelter...

Pet Parade's Dog Tweeter Training Aid, all breed, all size dogs

This product, the dog tweeter, does not work. I was using it on my 5 month old doberman/Australian sheep dog and the noise did not bother him at all. The noise is not very loud and it doesn't seem to bother the dog when it sounds.

This product does nothing that I can see, the dog does not respond to the whistle.My dog appears to not notice this whistle,and it takes a lot of pulling to get it to whistle and is not at all loud.

Put it on my dog to take her to the dogpark and before we got in the gate it fell apart and my dog was off on her own. Thankfully was able to get her before she got to far, but this item is a piece of junk. Not recommended.
