We have medium-sized Cocker Spaniels and this did not work at all with them. I could not tell a bit of difference and the barking continued as usual.

This product is great for which it was created, but the batteries that it takes only last for about 2 weeks. It takes 2 "high drain" batteries and I haven't been able to find a replacement battery that is the same size that will last longer. The product is good, but just wish it would last longer when the batteries cost $5.00 each and it requires 2 batteries.

This only worked for 2 days, that's right, 2 days. I contacted the manufacturer who promised a new collar. That was 3 weeks ago, still waiting.

If you have a barking problem, I recommend the Citronella collar. They work, unlike this piece of crap.

This product is absolutely INCREDIBLE. I have a chihuahua who's almost 11 years old, and has occasional accidents. Since having the carpeting replaced, and not wanting to put her into a claustrophobic kennel (just seemed wrong), I went for this product. It's so roomy! and the design is feminine, sturdy, lightweight and open. The gate is so well made and very cute and useful.

For those of us who work and need to keep our pets in a controlled area when we can't watch for accidents, this pet pen is a lifesaver and my dog absolutely loves it. There's enough room for a oil-filled heater, her large burrow bed and blankets, water bowl, bone-chewing/play area. Also, I sectioned off a small area for her potty pads. This way she doesn't have to "hold it" when I'm gone for longer periods of time. The pen is so roomy, that there's plenty of distance between the potty pads, her bed, and water dish. You can also customizing the shape of the pen. It's the greatest!

In terms of waterproofing, I lined the bottom with a shower curtain from the dollar store and topped with a queen-sized quilt. It's soft and comfy and accident-proof! Even my cat sneaks in there to catch a few winks.

This is so much better than a kennel or keeping your pet in the bathroom while you're away.

The Iris pen has stood the test of time, and has saved my dog from having to be in a confined, oppressive area while I'm away at work during the day. Today, I am purchasing another of these pens, which will serve as fencing around the patio of my small cottage. Can't think of a more perfect weather resistant, durable, SAFE fence for my dog (and cat who can't jump high distances) to play within outdoors. Two of these pens linked together will provide a rather large fenced area (over 12 feet).

From a distance, the fencing appears as a picket fence and really enhances the look of my patio. This will not only serve to keep the pets safe, but will wash up with a hose, never dry rot or warp. Will cover a portion of the fencing with some type of tarp for when it rains.

Still say this is the best purchase I've ever made on Amazon, and I buy lots of stuff.

I purchased this for my little yorkshire terrier to stay in when we all leave the house to go to work. Its wonderful. It is the perfect size and doesnt take up alot of room. My little dog likes to jump up and stand against the walls of this product and they dont fall or shake so it is very sturdy yet very light. It took me a minute to assemble the product and the little door makes it so great we leave it open and my little dog goes in and comes out when he wants. This is a great buy and cheap too.

We have 2 full-size pugs that enjoy their new pen. At first I was skeptical if they would not lean on the sides and knock it over as Mini Me weighs 18 pounds and Lexi weighs approximately 12 pounds. They can stand up and lean on the sides with no problem. Currently, I have it in the kitchen so they can watch me cook and clean and it works out great. It is light enough to take down when not in use. I like their new pen because the top is open and I can reach down and pet them and give them their treats without having to open the door constantly. It is large enough that their large bed fits great in the pen with plenty of room also for their play toys. They can watch me work but yet are not under my feet while cleaning. I highly recommend this pen.

I have to keep my 70lb lab calm and still while she recovers from a knee injury, and this pen helps a lot. She sleeps in it (her bed goes inside) and hasn't figured out how to escape. She's never been an "escape artist", but I think it would be pretty hard for her to get out because the sides are really tall. I disagree with the reviewer how said that the plastic is flimsy. It seems sturdy enough for me!

We call this our pet apartment. We have two miniature dachshunds who stay inside our home all day while we are away at work. They love their apartment. It is big enough inside for them to have their bed, food, water, potty pads, and play area. One of the great things about this particular one is that you can reshape it so that it can take on just about any shape...even go around corners like we have it doing now in our home. We even went out of town and packed it down so that we could take it with us. (It is so easy to take apart and put up!)

The sides are tall enough so that our babies can not begin to jump over it. It is sturdy enough that they jump onto the sides and lean on it with no wavering of the structure...when it is all connected.

It does not mar the floor. What a plus!!! I don't know how we ever got along without this!!!

This product was very easy to assemble and mount in place but the litle plastic keepers for the bars are not very strong. my dog broke one the first day so I bought about a dozen U bolts and mounted them with the plastic keepers to strenghthen this product. This product is OK but for a large dog It has to be modified for strength.

I read reviews from people who said it doesn't hold their dog. I have a smaller Labradoodle, and it works great. Pretty easy to assemble. My dog is not aggressive, so he doesn't try to break through it. I have a Subaru Tribeca and it fits fine. Wouldn't give it 5 stars, but it is just fine.

My dog who normally jumps on a fly landing on his nosewasn't even phased by the "shock" even on the highest setting. I folllowed directions to a T, and still nothing. Maybe it had something to do with his fur, but it really didn't do much for us. The remote became a very expensive laser pointer.

I bought this because I thought it would be a smart investment for our new family member since potty training takes time with puppies.

To be honest with you it works great I have no idea how it absorbs the urine so fast and it dries so your pups paws don't become nasty but as nice as all those features are at the end of the day you need to wash it and that is pretty gross when you think of it..

You have to wash that in the same washing machine you wash your clothes, undies, socks, kids stuff, whatever! I know you can Clorox your washer, run it on high every time your done but I think its just not worth all of that just for the "practicality" of this pad.

I ended up taking it to the laundry mat and when I brought it home I started using it for the humidifier in my bedroom and for that alone this pad is worth every penny!

Midwest Canine Camper Double Door Soft Sided Crate

We purchased this crate (48x31x35) thru Amazon.com about 3 years ago and again 1 year ago (would you believe that someone actually walked off with it?) and each of them, within just 1 year, had rods snapping or bending.

This issue is easily "fixed" by jamming pvc pipe into the corners to support the roof and I have had no complaints since.

If the rods were less fragile, it would nearly perfect as the cage keeps the hair contained and it fit in the back of our Suburban quite nicely. Having our 2 black labs within a cage in the back of the truck made it much easier to control them while the hatch is open (packing or just fresh air) and allows us to pack bags around the cage (not so easy to do when there was a separator bar that they would just knock down).

No we cannot see out the back, but generally if the dogs are with us, so is all our gear for a family of 5, so I cannot see out of the back anyway.

In our previous SUV (where we just used a divider), the hair seemed permanently attached to the roof liner, and now, there is never a hair outside the cage and we have a white SUV with light interior.

It is heaver than I anticipated, but still easier to transport than the metal crate and easier on the interior of the truck and tent.

I do miss being able to stack items on top of the cage when camping (when we brought the metal cage).

This model (25"L by 18"W by 21"H) is just barely big enough for my 50lb dog to curl up in, but I bought it for a 16lb cat to travel from NYC to Texas in the cab of a truck with me and the afore mentioned 50lb dog. It was as good as that situation could have possibly been, and the product performed well.

In Texas we added a Boarder Collie puppy to the family, and it has become both his bed and his training crate. I open two sides when we're around so it's more like a bed, then I just zip the bed closed to make a crate when he's unattended.

The material has proven very durable: it's been attacked by a bad@$$ cat for 1800 miles and for 3 weeks by a teething puppy, and it has not been penetrated.

Purchased this for our Great Dane before a 12 day camping trip and it was perfect. The convenience of being a lightweight, breakdown crate was immeasureable! We used it for transport and for when we put him inside the trailer while we were gone for a couple of hours and it definitely served its purpose. Would not recommend for dogs that are restless or chewers, as it is not a hard sided crate. Our lazy boy loves to just sleep while inside, so it worked great for our use!

I now own 2 of these crates. I have avoided soft sided crates because of what I've seen as difficulty in setting them up, carrying them, transporting them and lack of safety for my dogs. This crate has changed my opinion of soft sided crates. I love the pockets on the sides, the way I can leave the sides open or close them, the two doors, and being able to stake them down. My dogs go in willingly and appear to feel secure in them. They're lightweight, very easy to put up and attractive. More colors would be good.

I have had to replace/repair one collar twice and the second collar 3 times, with the transmitter replaced/repaired 3 times, and the charger(s) replaced twice in the past 2 years. When one part of the system doesn't work, it all doesn't work (you can't use a collar without a transmitter, and niether without a charger) so the system is not working more often than it does. The good thing I have to say is that the company continues to honor their warranty and keeps sending replacement parts, but first they ask you to go through rather complicated and time consuming processes to "fix" the problems but the fixes don't work. If not for the warranty, this product would get no stars. I would never buy one of these again and recommend no one else does. But if the same company produced a better product I would consider going back to them again.

I have a labrador hunting dog who barks non stop whenever we get ready to go for walks or runs (ie he gets super excited and loses focus when he hears the truck start). He will not stop no matter what command or reprimand I use to calm him down. He is very smart and learns easily in all other normal circumstances. I used the collar provided above. Put it on him a few times, he started his excited yipping, the collar provided just enough sound and then shock to break his concentration (not hurt him)from barking and he stopped. After a few times with the collar, I rarely even need it and the barking has ceased. If he starts up again, I reapply the collar and he remembers immediately. The only problem I have found with the collar is if my dog plays with our other dog the battery pack and shocking device is not very durable and has a few dents and chew marks in it from the rough housing. Therefore I wish it were a bit more sturdy. Even then however, my dog did NOT get shocked when playing with the other dog when they were wrestling around and such. Hopefully this was helpful. We had gone through two other brands of bark collars before buying this one. The other two were either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. The one that was too sensitive was also obviously short on battery life. We finally tried this as our last option to stop our two labs' incessant barking. One will just bark into the air every few minutes while sitting outside, the other goes crazy when people walk past our fence, and we live on a corner next to our police department. We have a barking law that fines you for "Nuisance Barking" if your dog(s) bark for 10 minutes straight.

At first, we just bought one to see how well it worked. That was a year ago. The battery lasts about 6 months before needing replacement (the other two were 2 weeks and 1 month). It's not too sensitive and isn't set off by scratching at the collar or the dog next her barking, as it needs vibration as well as sound to discharge a shock. Also, the collar itself is a plastic-coated reflective orange nylon which is great in case they ever accidentally get loose.

Overall, this is hands-down the best bark collar we've purchased, and I'm actually ordering another for our other lab right now!

I bought this SportDOG Bark Collar last year from Amazon because my Cocker/Springer Spaniel continuously barked when other dogs walked by the house and the Mailman/FedEx and UPS Driver came (which happens every day for us). It is very effective. I did feel bad at first because he yelped pretty loudly, then got depressed because he couldn't bark at everything in sight. But now, all I have to do is say "I'm getting your bark collar" he stops barking BEFORE I put it on and now he NEVER barks when it's on. He doesn't want to get shocked. It works perfectly. I just ordered 2 more of these collars for my other 2 dogs. We work from home and it is extremely unprofessional to have barking dogs in the background. I'm not sure why I waited. I know this is weird to say, but the only thing that doesn't thrill me is the bright orange color. I was thinking of attacking jewels on it or fabric or something, but it is not that big of a deal.

Do NOT buy this product. I bought it for my 10 month-old lab who barks excessively at night. My husband and I tested the device before placing it on our dog (if it beeps when the sensors are run over a rough surface, it's supposed to be working) and waited to see what the dog's reaction would be. For about an hour he didn't bark at all, but every now and then the collar would beep, then he'd shake his head and scratch at the collar, as if it were irritating. We thought he was just getting used to the feel of the collar. About 90 minutes after we placed the collar on the dog, he was munching on a rawhide toy not barking, growling or anything, when he leapt into the air about 3 feet, yelped and started crying and frantically running around. We chased him to try to hold him and take the collar off. But before we could catch him he was shocked again because he jumped into the air a second time and yelped. We finally caught him and took the collar off. The instructions say the dog's first reaction to the shock will be the strongest, and we expected he would have some discomfort and be surprised but the dog WAS NOT BARKING when he was shocked.
