I am a Dog Behaviorist & Trainer with three German Shepherds of my own. One of them, my treasured 105 pound Rocky, loves to play soccer ball using his nose as his "foot".... he has that ball all over the place, up and down the court, truly amazing, but he will only play with a muzzle on obviously because it protects his nose from getting all battered up. This muzzle is the most EXCELLENTLY designed muzzle I have ever owned for an athletic dog like Rock and he was so excited about it he could hardly wait to shove his nose into it. It gives outstanding facial protection and coverage while allowing him plenty of room to pant and drink water freely. Although Rocky isn't a biter I can see how this design would also be excellent for bite prevention without making an already paranoid or defensive dog feel compromised due to the freedom it offers of still being able to pant, drink water and even eat small kibble food through it. This fits our German shepherd well. We have 4 other muzzles that were a waste of money. With the Dean&Taylor she runs along on 2 hour horseback rides and is able to breath freely and drink in streams. Worried about her catching it in the woods but so far no problems. We slide strap under her collar and it stays on. The leather did stretch after a few months and we just went to next hole.

Steel Choke Chains - X-Fine 10"

This is a classic case of needing a chew proof break away collar and none being available. So we end up with a cluge make from by using this product. The breakaway is the need for an escape if the collar should get caught in fencing material. In rural areas this is common. Even brush can catch. The dog needs to carry identity tags in the collar is needed for the lease. Simple nylon woven tubing over a flexible chain chew proof partial core. The dog can chew through it in an emergency when caught. The nylon is comfortable and will not choke. Please someone.

I've owned this collar for 3 years now and I am just purchasing my first replaceable battery for it. This is fully adjustable from nothing to a shock that made me cringe. I tried shocking myself before shocking my dog and I am afraid to set it over 100.

The vibrate button on this collar is great, I rarely have to nick my dog any more. After training her (vibrate, vibrate then nick) she associated the vibrate with the nick and a simple vibrate will get her to return to me from any distance with or without a line of sight.

Also, I've had this collar underwater countless times and it has held up. My dog loves to swim and sometimes goes a little to far out into lakes. A vibrate makes her turn around and head back in my direction every time.

I am leaving a review because of the negative review I saw. I am a very happy customer and even happier to find that the batteries are replaceable so I felt I needed to comment on it.

The receiver broke off the collar after 3 months. Not a high quality product as the price would suggest. Definitely make sure you keep your receipt.

Unless you like the rheostat control for levels be wary of this unit.

I feel it's too easy to bump the dial and change the level by accident though

it is somewhat stiff. I much prefer the Dogtra 282 which also has a rheostat

but a digital readout of the level.

Other than that it's a fine unit and the continuous adjustment will allow you to

get the exact level you are looking for.

I have 5 medium sized dogs. And they just love these chews. This is the only treat I buy for them. Since the pet food scare I bake all their treats. But I do still buy these. As they are natural dried Yams.

they don't last very long (5 minutes if I'm lucky). But they are a bit hit. I give them each one a week to keep them busy while I unload groceries.

My golden retreiver and my carolina dog love these chews. Unlike alot of dog treats, these are not made in China but the USA. I avoid dog food from China because of the unsafe food supply there. Also, sweet potatoes help firm up the dog's loose stools. This is an easy way to give them sweet potatoes when I don't have time to prepare some from scratch.

I can't review this product because, although I ordered it, I didn't receive it. I was told that while the investigation is taking place, the product would be removed from Amazon's web site. As you can see, this hasn't happened yet, so you should be aware that if you order this you may receive something else. Also I was told that I would receive a refund without being required to go through the hassle of returning the incorrect product. This hasn't happened yet either. I do want to state, for the record, that in general I am a very satisfied Amazon customer. Usually I find Amazon's customer service to be exemplary. Just not in this case.

Herm Sprenger Pinch Collar, 20-Inch, Extra Heavy 3.8 Millimeter, with Quick R...

I have a big lab. She responds well to these pinch type or gripping collars. This is a very good quality collar. My dog responds well to it. She is very aware that the collar is on her. Smaller pinch collars tend not to make an impression.

I don't see the need for the weight added by the quick release as these colars should not be tight on the dog. It looks like it will last forever, but it is so heavy that it hangs below her neck, when I would prefer the clasp and leash ring to stay at the back of her neck. (the picture of the one I purchased was not accurate. It did not show the release clip. Perhaps it is a picture of an older version) I always just slip it over her head rather than mess with the release. I also feel that I need to take it off of her when I am not walking her because it seems too much for her to lug around. It is probably for the best, though as it is safer for the dog.

Arrive in time, work perfect, cannot ask for better quality or better services, it is very good quality collar & all the dogs responds great to it, I think it will last forever this is the perfect collar for any dog, these collars are great and they work no pulling or tugging and it doesn't hurt the dogs,

This collar is suited for large hairy breeds, best if bought with nylon strap cover to reduce chain noise. Use it for my American Bulldog and walking him is now very manageable, I walk three dogs at the same time, and use the prong collar on my bulldog and bullterrier and its been a breeze walking the lot! So I gave him one and he I don't think he even bothered chewing. He loves but the smell drives me nuts. If they did not cost so muxh I would toss them.

The only reason I don't like this product is when I try to make these more bite sized pieces for training, they tend to crumble.

My German Shepherd loves all the talking toys, but as he's gotten bigger and is biting harder, he breaks the talking mechanism within minutes, then carries the toy around whining because it no longer talks. I know most people don't have a problem most of the time with the snap style fasteners, but I just don't trust them--so I always look for metal buckles. I prefer to avoid D rings, especially if that is the only place for tag and leash connection.
