PoochPad Dog Bed

I bought this because I had a old dog that has some problems with incontinence. PS the vet can help with medication. But back to the bed. It is the best by far in construction and the cover is made to last through many washings. The fill is fluffy and the dogs love it. They never have to fluff it up themselves. It puffs back up when they get off of it. The zipper is top quality and the material is great. No more throwing away the bed because of urine getting in to the filler. My dogs just love it. And so does my wife. The cover washes up like a dream.

Bought two of these beds for my senior (12+ years) large (60+ lbs.) dogs. The cover material is durable and machine washes nicely. The interior pillow stays fresh and clean with the covers on. My senior dogs thoroughly enjoyed them until we brought a puppy into the house that systematically chewed the small-toothed zippers, breaking the zipper teeth, exposing the fluffy interior pillows. The uncovered pillows gave him another chew toy, resulting in the filling all over the floor. The covers themselves held up well, but no longer had the pillows to put inside them and could not zip the covers closed. I would see a puppy-proof zipper as a great improvement!

Once the puppy grows out of the oral stage (as the senior dogs did), I'll definitely consider getting these again. Not interested in buying $60 chew toys in the interim. :)

All I cal say is this pillow is nice, huge, fluffy, water (or pee) resistant, makes that dreaded cage time a lot more enjoyable. He doesn't want to poop on it either. That's certainly a good thing.

This is a comfortable bed with the waterproof poochpad on top, I think it is a good value. My new dog chewed it around the zipper, but I cut off the pooch pad, which is still usable, and threw away the sides and bottom.

I really wanted my dogs to love this bed. It came unbelievably fast and looks very nice. It's also sturdy and seems well made. I have two older dogs, one 50 lbs and one 20 lbs. It could be that the bed is very soft and it's hard for them to get on and off. The small dog won't get on it at all and the larger dog seems to have to launch herself in and out of it. Anyway, I'm still hoping that they'll adjust but for now, it's been a disappointment.

Update: The bigger dog is using it intermittantly. I think I may have been too hasty!

THE ROYAL PET COMPANY THAT MAKES SPOTTY DOG HAS BEEN EXTREMELY RESPONSIVE AND PROVIDED EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY ARE EVEN CHANGING THE PACKAGING. For now if you receive an originally packaged and rolled product you can flatten in out with you hair dryer OR soak in hot water in the tub. It worked perfectly and I can't say enough about how well the Spotty Dog Training Place works.

I love my Spotty Dog Training Place that I originally purchased! Everything was well made and fit together perfectly. The plastic coiled turf layed flat and perfectly fit the intended tray. I could not of been more thrilled, until, I ordered a replacement mat.

These are packaged folded in half lengthwise and then rolled almost like a throw blanket you see rolled and packaged. They then put a cardboard belt around it and staple it to be sent to retailers.

Herein lays the problem. Because the replacement mat is made of plastic coils it has a shape memory. Upon taking my spotty dog replacement mat out of its packaging it was a crumpled stiff folded mess. It was holding and memorizing the shape it traveled in. I imagine it sat in cold warehouses etc and further memorized the rolled and folded shape.

I was pretty discouraged because I love the actual original Spotty Dog Training Place and how true the fit was of all the elements. I decided to take my replacement mat and put a piece of plywood over it and the set a rubbermaid container FILLED with BOOKS about the same size as the mat on top of it to flatten it out.

After 72 hours of constant pressure by weighted plywood it was more flat but not completely. The center line fold was still apparent and the edges curled and a few wrinkles remained. It would not fit nicely on the training place.

I called the manufacturer who has asked for photographs. Oh good. No offer to send me another one right out or refund any money. Just given a task of photographs, which I will do.

Best Solution: Finally I took my hair dryer on high and held it close to the mat and heat flattened for about 15 minutes. This did work. The fit is still not as true as the original mat that came with the training place but with continued work I am sure I will get it right.

So in short, this potty system is fabulous but the replacement mat leaves much to be desired in how the product actually arrives at your home or retailer.

I hope others find this solution of heat flattening their replacement mat helpful and do not have to throw out something they paid good money for.

This puppy pad is coiled rubber rather than fake turf. They work well and our dogs like them better than the turf type that seems more soiled and harder to clean. Liquid runs through the coils into a pad placed underneath. Solids sit on top for easy pick up and disposal in the toilet. The dogs do not chew it. They are easy to rinse off and drip dry quickly. We have several on hand so some can be drying after washing.

I was happy with the product itself in terms of size and pricing. However, I purchased it to replace some faux grass that we used to train our puppy. The texture is not very similar to grass and our 1 year old will not use iteven though we placed it in the same bottom container and in the exact same spot as the previous faux grass. The package boasted that it is sprayed with a product to attract dogs, but we haven't found that to be the case.

We purchased this system due to the fact that we have 5 acres of open land and lots of neighboring cows for our dogs to chase. With my 2 older dogs, who have always been able to run loose, we took about two weeks of training them as instructed. They had no problem in learning. We then brought a young dog to our home who had always been enclosed in a yard with chain link fencing. Trained one very briefly, on lowest setting it ran thru boundary fencing, turned up the power, and along with the flags, the dog never ventures near boundary. Two very young strays, with whom we could not train due to the fact that they would not do the leash....put the collars on them, they accidentally went into boundary, with our visual supervision over a period of about a week, and they did not attempt doing that again. We then had to put boundary fencing around the area of where we park our cars, due to the destructive natures of the younger dogs who scratched several cars chasing a cat, they do not enter the boundary zone....in fact, when flags went up, they totally understood their meaning!!! excellent product that works with any age or stubborness of dogs. i highly recommend this product. Also, works just as well after water exposure, as our dogs love the pond, water does not affect the products effectiveness. i give this system 5 stars.

We already have the sport dog in ground fence system and love it! We got this collar for our little dog who is less than 20lbs. It is big on him but can be cut down to size. It fits our Husky perfectly. The little dog was able to get used to it quickly. I had contemplated the smaller versions but with proprietary batteries, it seemed like a poor idea. These collars take a standard 9v and the batteries have lasted nearly a year so far in our other collar without replacement. It is a good system, but not for dogs under 20lbs for sure even though they say as long as their over 10lbs.

I love the invisible fence system these people sell, it was easy to instal and maintain. My only gripe would be on the collars themselves. The screws absolutely suck. Maybe it is just my dogs or even me, but the screws get dirt/sand/debris lodged into the head of the screw and just underneath enough to make turning the screw a pain in the rear. When I need to change the battery, I try to clean the screws out to the best of my ability so I can get a screwdriver in. This is a pain and it seems like there should be a better way. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to let me know.

I have the full setup from Sport Dog, the underground fence sending unit and four collars. If you click on my name you can read my review on the whole setup. These Collars are by far the best on the market. They are adjustable as far as the correction goes which allows you to turn the shock up or down or to vibrate only. The material the collar is made from is bright orange, somewhat reflective, and very durable material. The collar uses a regular 9 volt battery which last a long time, at least a year. Many of the other collars from other companies use large watch batteries which only last a few months. My collars have had plenty of abuse and water time. They are still working just as they did when they were new.

If you have a large dog and are looking for an underground fence collar, this is by far the best one available.

Awesome collar and in-ground fence system! We bought a second collar when we got our second dog and the receiver works great! We have two big golden retrievers (86 and 90 lbs) who like to run, play and visit with everyone so it was essential that we keep them contained. The collar has adjustable shock/warn strengths. We had to amp it up when the flags disappeared during the snowy weather but we can turn it down now that they've learned not to go past the boundary. One REALLY nice thing is that the battery is a regular one that you can buy anywhere and is much less expensive than some of the little disc batteries required for products like this.

Two reasons to not give it a five star rating: (1) For the amount of money you spend on just one collar, it would have been nice to have the receiver be a little bit smaller. It's just kind of bulky but I would think more so on smaller dogs. (but then the battery would have to be smaller and probably more expensive) (2) We have had the fence system for a few years now and the collar that comes with the receiver cracks and needs to be replaced about once a year. Perhaps not though with more docile dogs but ours play with each other every day and sometimes they get a little rough.

I like the larger pad however they are extremely thin compared to other brands I've tried (and I've tried many). At first I didn't think they would work at all but once the liquid dries they aren't that bad although I won't re-order this brand. So far the best I've used are Gridlock.

Product was shipped as expected and arrived timely. They are nice and large. However, they could be a little more absorbent and a little more "scent attracting". I lay out 2 for my cocker spaniel who is blind-she uses smell to find the pads. If she is too close to the edge, the urine runs off the side quite a bit. Yesterday she went perfectly in the middle of the pad-I picked it up right away but some urine had still soaked through. They are better than the tiny ones I purchased last time, and I do have a blind dog so I know that is partially the problem. I just wish they absorbed more.

Aetertek AT-218S Extra Strong Remote Dog Training Shock Collar with anti bark feature

This remote works very well on our Great Dane, the only two things that I do not like are the confusing lighting system that tells you when the product is on or off and the actual collar that was sent with the product. We used an existing collar that we had lying around and put the shocker on it because the one they send it literally over two feet long and there is no where to stuff or tie the excess that hangs once the collar is on the dog. Overall this product works great and I would recommend it, especially for the price. We have had no issues with the remote or collar and even tested it in the lake several times and its waterproof feature works well.

I've used quite a few different training collars, and I have to say that this is the worst one I've used.

It works and does as it says, but it's fairly low quality and the fact that the remote turns off after about 2 minutes of non-use is seriously, SERIOUSLY, annoying. I can't seem to figure out how to disable this, as the instructions are pretty poorly written.

I wouldn't recommend this to others.. there are more out there that are just slightly more expensive that are far higher quality than this one.

My girl responded beautifully to the collar. Curbed her barking at the park that was getting all the dogs riled up and her return response is So greatly improved! Love that it has multiple options for sound, vibrate and static. Rarely had to use the static. She did however happen to have a reaction to the prongs, as can happen with some dogs. (She is French Bulldog/Pit Bull) She healed quickly and now we just put a bandana under the receiver. Don't know if it interferes with the static but it doesn't matter because she responds to the tone now. THIS RECEIVER IS WATERPROOF, SUBMERSIBLE, ABLE TO GO SWIMMING WITH! So so many say they are and just aren't. I think it was a great buy. It was well worth the money and I recommend them wholeheartedly!

This thing sucks. I tried it on my finger. At level 1 I couldn't feel it. At level 2 I couldn't keep it in my hand. I used the tester and found out that the "nick" feature lasted about 2 seconds. It should only last a fraction of a second. When I used the continuous feature it had about a 2 second delay before it started. This makes it useless as a training tool. Do some research on how to use these before you buy one. The directions were not written by someone that spoke English. This made it very hard to figure out how to use a poorly designed interface.

Be careful if buying this for a cat because it although the door is large, there is no top gate to get the cat in and out of, which could be a problem. This collar has worked as expected so far. I haven't been able to test water resistance or far distances yet, but my current needs have been met. It is also one of the few collars I was able to find that will fit a small dog that isn't just an anti-bark collar.

I only got this collar because it was pink. i have 2 dobermans male and female. I taught that my female would look cute in this. I watched the video. So I got the collar and matching leash. I had a collar and leash already. I just wanted because it was pink. Got the collar in the mail it was already chipped. Plus you could tell were it was hung to paint. I think it was a crappy paint job. I e-mail them, they e-mail me right back saying that they have some bs whit the paint. If I like they can send be a new candy color. I only got this because it was pink! I have a female I want pink. Whatever. So I got this around 15 of Dec. The whole back of the chine were it rubs is white now and when I got the collar on I make sure to use the pincher so that no more of the collar chips. The collar dose work on the other hand. I have np using this. I is the same as the one I had before. Its just a shame the pink is coming off.

Simple Solution Disposable Diapers, X-Large, 12 Pack

Once on these diapers work well and I have finally found my elderly dog's bed dry in the morning without a drop lost. The tabs have held well, the diaper does not slip off her back, and the pad is well positioned.

But like many others have said, these diapers run much too small. My dog is 44 pounds and has 27" waist. Originally I got the large size, but it was a waste of money,(somewhat frustrating -what do I do with them?) and they were much too small. Then I got the extra large -meant for dogs with up to a 35 inch waist, and they barely fit her. Since my dogs is arthritic the too small diaper is too tight around her haunches and limits her movement and may be causing her some pain.

This is a good product for what it is intended to do -keep your dog dry, but the manufacturer really needs to re-mark the sizing and add an additional larger size. Subtract one size from what is written in the description and you'll end with the right sized diaper -but somewhat tight. Unfortunately, it also means there is no diaper available for a dog with a waist over 27" or over about 50 pounds.

We have an elderly female dog who was experiencing urinary incontinence problems overnight. I was going crazy cleaning up after her every morning. These diapers are a lifesaver! They work well, go on easily, and my dog keeps them on-never tries to rip them off. However, they are quite expensive. I haven't tried the reusable type yet. My dog is a black lab mix weighing only 39 pounds and needs the XL size. She is not an extra-large dog by far. So go up a size or two when ordering, and if you have a truly extra-large dog, I don't think these diapers will fit.

I bought the X-large pack. It says for a dog up to 90lbs and 35" waist. My dog is 77lbs and has a 28" waist. The diaper doesn't fit at all. I had to cut it 2 inches down the back to get it to connect on the sides.

Although I had read other reviews that said the size was too small, I decided to try these diapers anyway. My dog is not near as big as a 90 lb. dog, and Simple Solution says they will fit up to a 90 lb. dog. Well, these diapers were way too small. I am going to try to rig them, so I can at least use these 12 in this package. However, I will not order any more. This extra large diaper might fit my cat. This is way too small, and I am sorry I went ahead and tried them. I was just desperate to find something that works for my dog.

I read the other reviews but stupidly did not heed them. We have a standard goldendoodle who is 65 pounds and quite slender. Since that falls at the lower end of the weight range, and since they show a golden retriever on the package with what appears to be a GIANT diaper on, I figured the XL would work.

She just went into heat (we're allowing her to go through one heat phase before spaying her, per the vet's suggestion) and the diapers are ridiculous. I give them two stars only because they do seem absorbent, but the fit is laughable. Her tail barely fits through the hole, the fasteners only JUST make it around her hips, and the diaper basically constricts her movement and makes her miserable. The look on that golden retriever's face should have been my first clue that that diaper was photoshopped on no dog looks that happy in a diaper. I briefly considered posting a photo of just how bad the fit is, but I can't bear to embarrass her that way.

Unfortunately, given that XL is the largest size offered, I can't upsize as some of the other reviewers have done. Wish I could, since the diapers otherwise seem quite well made and absorbent. My advice would be not to bother with these if your dog is over 60 pounds maybe even over 55. If anyone has any recommendations for other brands, I'd love to hear them. Otherwise, this is going to be a LOOOONG few weeks.

I'll admit I was a bit shocked by the price of these Bison Chews. But, each one lasts for more than one day (I have two aggressive chewers). And, if you have a diabetic dog, this treat seems to be very acceptable for them.

I prefer Mendota for my English Springer Spaniel because I can get collars that fit her small 14 inch neck. Nice assortment of colors including orange for visibility when she's off leash and moving fast in brush, and it's convenient to be able to wash the nylon when it gets muddy or gritty.

This is a high quality product. The fact that you can adjust to any size is great. I would recommend this to any one.

Kakadu Pet Empire Extendible Nylon Dog Lead, Small, 1/2" x 4-6ft, Fire (Red)

Good leash with no fancy bells and whistles. It is light enough for our smaller (20 lb.) dog, and the length is adjustable. Being nylon, it is vulnerable to being chewed if your dog is so inclined, but it's a very good leash.

I like how this leash can be expanded from 4 to 6 feet. It's the perfect size for a growing puppy. The 1/2 inch width is perfect for a smaller dog as well. The only reason I'm not using this anymore is because I had to upgrade to a bigger harness, and the D-ring on the new harness is too thick for the clasp on the leash. So just keep that in mind, that the connector on the collar or harness will need to be small enough to latch onto the leash clasp.
