Dogmatic FreeLeash Hands-Free Leash System

I am a dog trainer by trade and I own four dogs of my own. I loved the idea of this leash, also because I hoped to get extensions so that I could have all four of my dogs on the same belt and still have my hands free.

Well after purchasing this and trying it out on just one of my dogs I realized that I'm not so pleased with it. The elastic stretches so much that the dog almost comes too far away from your waist.

The adjustment on the belt is not too high-tech and I had to make my own way to keep all the excess belt from dangling and being in the way.

I hate the bungee leash it comes with and ended up using one of my own personal leashes. The bungee allows too much freedom for the dog to "bounce" out and then back. It's more annoying than anything.

I may try the Buddy System and see how they compare. . . .

I liked the idea of what the hands free leash offered but it broke the second time i used it and my dog only weighs 19 pounds. The clips that hold it together aren't made of strong metal and with little tension and pull it snaped at the part that connects your dog to the belt. the belt is quite comfortable and it does have pockets to hold items which is nice. for this product to truly work you have to add your own little upgrads such as putting metal clips on.

1/6/10 Update: So only a couple days after writing this review the thing bit the dust. While jogging along at a rather slow pace I slipped and came to a complete stop and when my dog hit the end of the stretchy leash the metal plate that the swivel is attached to went flying off the belt and smacked into my dog. Like the belt buckle, the edges on this metal piece are pretty heavy/sharp and thanks to the bungy leash it hit him pretty hard. Thankfully my dog has a nice shaggy winter coat so no real harm was done, just freaked him and me out. I can no longer recommend this leash system at all. It could be incredibly dangerous if it had managed to hit him in the face/eye.

I actually picked this up at a discount store for less than 10 bucks, figured I wasn't going to be losing out a whole lot if it didn't work. I ended up chopping off a couple feet of the leash because I intend to use it with a dog coupler that is about 2.5 feet long and it would have been too cumbersome. I find the belt to be more comfortable when I fit it much lower than they are showing on the box; I keep it down on my hips. The clasp for the belt is a very heavy metal one and can be a bit sharp so you want to be careful when clipping it. So far I have found the velcro that adjusts the belt to be extremely strong but I've only been using this for a few weeks. It is nice that the leash clips off in case you need some extra control and the swivel keeps you from getting completely tangled. I have been using it with my two dogs who are about 70 and 80 pounds and haven't had any problems with the belt breaking away or swivels snapping as I've read in other reviews. I probably wouldn't recommend this for someone with a very unruly large dog.

I took my dog out for a run using the new Dogmatic Freeleash for the first time and was VERY disappointed. We didn't make it even a quarter of a mile before the front metal leash attachment completely snapped off and I had to call my dog back to me. I don't recommend this product to anyone who has a dog that will pull on the leash. Even a slightly tough tug and your dogs off and running which could really be dangerous! I don't think the claim the leash can hold a dog up to 80lbs. is true, my dog is only 54lbs. and it didn't hold up at all.

Our dog won't touch a toy unless it's filled with food. She's figured a lot of the puzzle toys out, and cleans out a classic Kong in record time. I really needed something to keep her occupied for an extended time, and Squirrel Dude is my man. It's similar to a classic Kong, except it has four flexible, triangular tabs in the opening. You can control the "flow" of food--simply leave the tabs as is to make the dog's job harder, or trim them so the food falls out faster. You'll have to gauge it based on the size of the treat you plan to use, and how dedicated your dog is. We like to fill this with smaller treats--kibble, bits of chicken jerky, Zuke's, and broken-up biscuits, so I just barely trimmed each tab and it works great. She'll work at this off and on all day, and sometimes will take longer than a day to empty it. We've had Squirrel Dude about six months--he takes a beating every day and has held up incredibly well. This was truly money well spent.

I bought this for my Pembroke Welsh Corgi and at first, he didn't like it. The food wouldn't come out because it would get stuck in the purple knobs that hold the food in. So finally, I just cut those off and the food came out easier (but it's not like it poured out; very subtle). He was bored with his generic dog food I put in there so I got into chopping up carrots and celery and mixing them with peanut butter and freezing it, and Little Bear goes NUTS!!! He LOVES it! And it takes him a good 30-45 minutes to get everything out. Just as long as its frozen food with some sort of buffer (like peanut butter or Kong Stuff), its one of his favorite things. It's a pretty exhaustive process to get everything out for him, and he's pooped afterwards. He likes it more than his Kong balls I'd have to say.

We don't put kibble in our squirrel buddy, as my two girls will fight to the death over it. I do, however, put some peanut butter inside the opening each morning when I leave for work. Keeps them busy for a good little while. The squirrel buddy is stronger than Kong -my mild-mannered, but very persistent 60 pound Weimaraner destroyed two Kongs -one regular and one heavy-duty. She hasn't managed to chew up the squirrel. Other toys from the same company haven't fared as well against her, but the squirrel continues to survive my ferocious chewers. Ordering three more!

My new 65 lb Malinois is a strong chewer and has chewed the tops off of several of the red Kongs. But these Buddy Squirrels appear to be thicker or of a denser material then the Kong brand. The medium sized Buddy Squirrel is the same size as a large Kong. Unless your dog is well over 65 lbs or has the jaws of a tiger, the medium size may be the correct size for your dog. My dogs have be unable to chewer through these. I cut out the four rubber "prongs" in the opening of the Buddy Squirrel with a box cutter and stuff them with canned dog food. I then freeze them over night. In the mornings when I want some peace and quiet I give my two Malinois the frozen stuffed Buddy Squirrels and this treat keeps them happily occupied for an hour or two. The medium sized Buddy Squirrels can handle almost 1/3rd a can of dog food which is exactly the amount I wish to feed of the canned food. I occasionally stuff in bits of carrot, apple, celery, peeled broccoli stems, fresh ground peanut butter (the other "Skippy-type" has too much fat and will give the dogs the runs) or even bits of raw meat to give the canned food a bit of texture. I believe dogs should have to work a bit for their food as it challenges them both physically and mentally. I have purchased a couple of the large Buddy Squirrels also but they are so big and heavy that I think they are better suited for a much larger dog. I'm afraid to play catch with the large Buddy Squirrel for fear of damaging her teeth. The large size is really, really heavy duty. I don't think a Tiger would chew through those. OK, maybe a Tiger. The medium sized ones are lighter and I feel more comfortable tossing them lightly and allowing her to catch them. Remember that dogs should be monitored with any chew-type toy.

This product does everything they say it's going to to. I had my puppy housebroken in 2 weeks, and we started him at 8 weeks. I intend to use this inside at all times, but if you keep your puppy going outside while using the Petlawn, you can train them to go in both areas.

So, if you want to use this part time and go outside the rest of the time, that's not a problem at all.

My dog is only 14 lbs (yorki schnauzer) mix at first he wouldn't go anywhere near it but he would pee all around it. Once he got on it he would pee but it still goes all over the floor it's not big enough to handle a stream of pee maybe I give him too much water. Haha I had to potty train him in my apartment because I broke my leg and couldn't take him downstairs. I bought the training pee spray and he wouldn't go anywhere near that either. I put his own doodoo on it and nothing. He'll poop all around it and get on it and pee off of it. Right now I just have all of the pads around it and none in it because no pee manages to get in the grass. The closest he got was peeing in the handy bag dispenser and getting them all disgusting. It might be helpful for some. It's a crapshoot get it? baha. Maybe it works with teacup puppies with great aim?

We have 2 chihuahuas. One female and one male (but he squats, he doesn't know he's a boy!) We have 4 acres but since we work full time we needed to have them house trained as well. We tried regular litter etc but they preferred the carpet. After 5 YEARS of carpet cleaning and ripping out the carpet in the family room because they ruined it and putting regular flooring down and them switching to using the dining room carpet, I finally bought the Pet Lawn. They ignored it. So I put a really thin junk towel in the dining room in their favorite pee spot and left it there for a few days for them to do their thing on. Then I placed the dirty towel on the Pet Lawn and blocked off the dining room so they had no access. They found the towel on the Pet Lawn and started going there. I was able to remove the towel and they continued using the Pet Lawn. Although there are other areas of the house with carpet that they have access to, they only go where they are supposed to now. Its been 3 months and so far no accidents. After 5 years of messes, I am THRILLED!! Both of my dogs squat so I don't know how it would be with a dog that actually lifts his leg.

The grass is fine, if I want better grass, which is not necessary it would be possible to go to Lowes hardware store and purchase any artificial grass I like and replace it. This is a plus, since the artificial grass that comes with it has holes punctured in it so the wetness can seep to the lower container and be caught by the "diaper" in the lower compartment. It also comes with bags to pick up the solid droppings. I had to purchase a can of pet spray to let the dog know I would appreciate the dog to do its' business on the mat. At first the dog thought it was a piece of furniture, and would only smell at it. Besides this, I like the product, and all the good people who thought of making this product so useful expecially when I have to go to town and the dog needs to go outside, she knows she is allowed to eliminate her waste on the grassy mat. I would order this again, if the need for this system arrives.

Midwest Select Triple-Door Dog Crate

I got the large size crate (recommended for Golden Retrievers and Chows) for my 85 pound German Shepherd. This crate is roomy to put it nicely. There is enough room in the crate for both of my dogs (the 85 lb shepherd and another 70 pound shepherd) side by side. The crate is almost as big as my large kitchen table! As long as you aren't short on space, this is great but if you have a small apartment this crate is really going to limit your space. It seemed to have thick gauge wires when I saw it at the store but after taking on a road trip where it had to be folded and it got kneeled on while packing it up, the wires are bent. It still functions when open, but the clips that are designed to hold it shut when folded are mangled beyond repair. In it's defense though, the big dog inside paws it when she wants out and she hasn't damaged it. The three doors make it more versatile but each door only opens one direction so you still have to be thoughtful about where you are placing it, especially with it's size. It is very easy to remove the doors and put them back on. It's very roomy and luxurious, but very large and heavy and could definately have thicker gauge wires to make it more durable.

I'm not sure I could recommend this crate due to the poor quality of the pan on the floor. I have had my crate for just over a year and the crate itself has held up well, even with my 100 lb. Newfoundland sleeping in it every night. The problem is the pan has cracked in several places and when I checked the price of a replacement pan I was appalled that it would cost around $65 just for that cheap plastic pan. In reading other reviews on different sites I see that it is common for the pan to crack.

I bought 2 36" crates for my 50 lb dogs. They were shipped in the original boxes, which were beat up a little during delivery, but the crates were not damaged at all. It took me less than 5 minutes to set up the crates. It was a bit like a puzzle, but not difficult to do. Just to give you a little background, I'm a 5'1" 118lb female and yes, the crates are heavy, but that's the point. HEAVY duty wires will be heavy. It was awkward moving them when they were set up but hey, the crates are larger than I am and it was easy enough for me to do! Folded up, I can certainly carry them and put them in the trunk by myself (not to be mean, but maybe some people should lift some weights). I like that both of them fit easily into the trunk of our Altima. I am thinking of taking the two side doors off and sandwiching the two crates together. My dogs like to sleep together and they can go back and forth if they want some space. I actually wanted to get one large crate for both of them, but it wouldn't fit into the trunk and my husband wanted the dogs to have more room.

PROS: 3 removable doors, pewter finish, easy to set up, appears to be made of heavy duty wire (my dogs are not chewers, but we will have to see how well they last with repeated use--breaking down for travel and nightly use for sleeping), plastic pan slides out easily but can also be locked into place

Things to consider: One of the hooks was bent, but I used some pliers to bend it back easily (I also used cardboard to protect the pewter finish), one of the door latches sticks a little (but it's not a big deal), the doors are a little difficult to put back on because you have to line it up perfectly (but also not a big deal)

CONS: None that I know of but again, we'll see how well they last with use.

I purchased the 24" crate for my toy breed dog that should be arriving this spring. This crate is intended for a Morkie (Yorkshire/Maltese Mix). I expect the dog to reach an adult weight of 8 to 11 lbs based on his parents' size. The 24" crate should suffice for the dog's entire life. The included divider will allow me to create just enough space for the dog as he grows (so as to avoid soiling in the crate). Tip: dogs will not defecate in their crate if there is just enough space for them to sleep/stand up/stretch out. I tested this crate with my mother's dogs (a yorkshire terrier at 10 lbs, and a bichon frise at 14 lbs) and both were able to stand up and sleep in the crate comfortably. Also, these two dogs love to stretch out in all sorts of positions when they sleep, and the crate accommodated them well.

On to the crate itself...this crate arrives folded down. There are two clips that hold the crate in its locked position. Unlock these clips and the crate's ceiling and 2 walls lift up creating a box. Then lift the remaining two walls, and you're set. The crate is sturdy when assembled. The pan is sufficient...I see that some people had problems with their pan cracking, but I imagine that it should not be a problem for smaller, lighter breeds.

I plan to purchase a crate cover that will complete the den like feeling dogs love. Keep in mind that you will need to purchase some type of bed to place in this crate. I strongly recommend purchasing the "west paw nature nap" available here on amazon. It costs more than the typical fleece bumper bed you typically buy for crates, but it lasts forever! My mother's dogs are 11 years old and we bought their west paw beds 6 years ago. The beds have been washed numerous times and they still appear new.

I strongly recommend this crate, both for its material and design. Having a door on the side wall allows placement options in my home. I'm currently in Manhattan, New York City, so having this placement option in my apartment is very important for me. The third door is nice to have, as well. I'll update this in 8 to 10 months and share my experience with the crate.

I am a foster mom for a small dog rescue, and have nearly every brand of harness in my stash. But of them all, these are my favorite, and all 6 of our dogs dress like little kings and queens in their glittery vests. The pictures here don't begin to indicate how shiny, classy, and expensive they look. They do cover more of the upper torso than it appears in the pictures, which I like. The velcro at the throat and tummy is strong and large enough to allow for adjustment. If you can be careful to keep the dog's hair out of the way when fastening the velcro, the vests will stay on well even if you have a "puller" at the end of the leash. And having a matching leash really makes this set look high-end. I have these in the pink (for our girls) and the gold (for the boys), but wish they would make these in more color choices. Red would be amazing at Christmas and in Feb. for Valentine's Day.They are REALLY sparkly in the sun, and I get stopped constantly by people who want to have them, too. These are well-worth the price, and they really are (gently) washable. (FYI, I use the SMALL size for our 6 lb. Chihuahua and Pommies.)

This harness wraps safely around my long haired puppy. I have to be careful not to catch her hair between the velcro, which makes it not stick well. But when i pull the hair out of the way it is a safe, secure and comfortable harness.

Well I am giving a update because the collar with the receiver is broken. It lasted until my German Shepherd got it caught into the fence. He yanked on it causing the side to break off. It was still useable but a few days later the receiver will not respond. I changed batteries, collaborated it with the remote and it will respond once, then stop. I would like to get another receiver but it does not say what model or one I need.

I already had a training collar for my pooch but the buttons on the remote were not that good and would stick. Making it useless. So I decided to search for a newer replacement and a reasonable price. I ended up here. At the time there was no reviews on this product. I compared "Long Range 1000M Remote Control Dog Training Shock Collar for 1 Dogs with 50 Levels of Tone, Vibration and Stimulation" to a lot of other ones. I almost went with a $20 one but you couldn't change the level of the vibration and stimulation. So I bought this one. My one complaint is that it does not fit a small dog that well. The receiver is so large the poor dog cannot bend his neck well. The collar part is so darn long that I had to tape it to fit him. Now it says that it is a 50 level but it is actually a 99/100 level. There are 0-99 levels. 0 being it is off and 99 being the strongest. I love that it does work. The beep is a little odd, but the vibration catches his attention a lot. I did try the stimulation on him a couple of times and it is strong. The old one that I have he would listen to the loud sharp beep but this one he ignores it. It really isn't loud and sharp. It's odd. He sort of ignores the vibration but since the collar is so huge the stimulation does not always get him. I love the fact that the remote auto turns off. It does take 3 to 5 seconds for it to turn on but he learned from the button clicking and seeing the remote in my hand to stop doing what he is about to do. He is very visual so that works for me. One thing that was not mentioned that I like and sometimes it is a down fall is that the collar auto turns off after there is no movement. So even if I turn the remote back on the collar won't respond until my pooch moves. The loose sound in the collar when shook is a motion detector thingy. So when he gets up and moves it turns it back on. The downfall is about it for me is that sometimes my lil guy does not move very strongly for it. So the collar won't turn on until I shake it a little bit. Other than that, I do like this system. The buttons on the remote didn't get stuck and that is a plus with me. I say give it a chance. I did even though at the time there were no reviews. My husband was iffy but I liked what I read of the product. Also I found a video on Youtube about it.

I have a problem with one of my dogs and excessive barking. It is so bad that I have receive anonymous letters from neighbors, a visit from the police and a letter from the county animal control. I purchased this collar in January and it worked very effectively for 2 weeks. The Citronella spray stopped my dog from barking more than once or twice (as opposed to 20 times) and it was great. After 2 weeks, the collar stopped working.

I contacted the manufacturer who asked me to take some trouble shooting steps and, when it still did not work, they authorized the return of the product. The return was at my expense but I did receive a replacement in about 2 weeks. I will say that Innotek's customer service was very good. I received the replacement collar and for 2 weeks it worked perfectly and was effective in stopping the excessive barking.

Unfortunately, once again it has stopped working and will not spray. I am not sure I want a device that I must keep returning and while I do not know if I am just unlucky and received 2 lemons, I am concerned about an endless cycle of returns.

I went on Amazon to return the collar as defective but it cannot be returned as it is designated as "hazardous materials." I may be forced to go through the return process again with Innotek if it can't be returned (or just stuck with the loss of my money).

UPDATE: Amazon promptly responded to my question about the return (or inability to return) of the collar and issued a refund. As always, Amazon's customer service is very good.

I have had this product for well over a month, and it still works great, so just be aware that the other reviewers might have had faulty products and just needed a return. Maybe their dogs are a little crazy and rough house the collar a bit too much. It is a relatively durable case, but I believe that strong impacts would do some damage to the unit. Some good and bad points now:

The spray is VERY effective for curbing barking

Is not sensitive enough for small barks and whining, so this does not solve those problems. If your dog is smart and figures out that quiet barking is not punished (like mine did), you'll still have a problem barker, but just not as loud.

My dog is not afraid of the collar, but knows to be quiet when it is on

Make sure you say 'no barking' or 'quiet' every time it sprays if you can. The dog will learn your command as well.

Overall I highly recommend this product for $40. However I do NOT recommend it if you bought it at the $100 that Petsmart wants to steal out of you (though I do love that company). It is simply not a $100 value anti-bark system, more like $40-$50.

This product worked great for a few weeks. Then it stopped working, it just would no longer spray. I thought maybe the battery? Nope! Maybe it got wet, and ruined the sensor? So I bought a new one. Silence for a week then the same thing happened, it just stopped working. I also found a crack in the housing which let the citronella leak out. So again for the limited time that this product physically worked, it was wonderful.

As soon as we got this started on my Great Pyrenees it worked to curb his barking really well, but it stopped working within a month. Then I got another one and it did the same thing!

I was leery to buy this product based on several reviews mentioning that the collar stopped working. We were desperate and waiting on a knock on the door from the police due to our dog's excessive barking in our chain-link fenced backyard so we tried this collar and it curbed our dog's barking immediately. We have used the collar now for three weeks and are thrilled with it. We are nearly out of the original can of citronella and I had ordered a second one at the same time I ordered the collar so we will now start on the second can and I'll order another can to have on hand. Now that our dog is accustomed to the situation I would expect her not to run through the citronella quite as fast. We have even found that when we send her out without the collar she *usually* will not bark. However, occasionally even with the collar she will start barking and she gets squirted. Cloud Star's Tricky Trainers are bite-sized, palatable, chewable treats that are approximately 0.5 inches big. They come in three main flavors: cheddar, liver, and salmon. I sampled (well, JP, my dog, sampled) two flavors: cheddar and liver. These treats were perfect sized for putting into a Kong treat dispenser, and were generally palatable (JP finds them much more palatable then dry treats). I found the Tricky Trainers surprisingly more "dry" than most pocket-sized treats, however. In other words, they don't seem to be oily to touch, aren't excessively moist, and have a high anti-squish (i.e., firm) factor. This is beneficial if you're using them as true training treats to reward your dog (i.e., storing them in your pocket). Their con: I found the cheddar smell to be repulsive it has a really strong smell, so if you're cheese shy, avoid. Cheddar is the 5th ingredient (remember, ingredients are listed in descending order of predominance (from most to least). For the other two flavors, chicken liver and salmon are listed first. The other con: the number of calories per treat isn't listed, so we don't know exactly how "low fat" or "low calorie" they truly are. The final con: if you have a super picky puppy that you are trying to train (and are using these as food motivation rewards), these may not work as well as small pieces of hot dog or pieces of freeze-dried liver treats. When it comes to puppy training, finding a treat that your dog can't resist is imperative to get them to train correctly!

These products are listed as wheat and corn free, which is good if your dog has these specific food allergies. That said, if your dog doesn't have these specific allergies, not a big deal. The good news: all ingredients are natural, made in the USA, and the products contain no artificial favors or colors. Overall, a pretty good training treat!

These are great for training. Small enough to fit a bunch in your hand and they don't crumble apart very easy. They smell like brggin strips, so they're good distraction versus a dry, crunchy treat.

We recently purchased a maltipoo puppy and decided to try clicker training her using the cheddar flavored Tricky Trainers as treats. Even though they are relatively small treats to begin with, I can easily cut them into fourths which is a good thing because our dog LOVES these treats. She will do anything for them. In a matter of days we had taught her several tricks. Every time I get the clicker and these treats out, she follows me around waiting for me to start with her training. I am going to try some of the other flavors, and can't wait to see what she learns next. I disagree with the review that the odor is offensive. It smells like beef jerkey to me.

Zuke's Jerky Naturals Dog Treats, 6-Ounce

We have a little Maltese that we spoil to no end. These treats are the perfect size for him and he loves them.

He can be a little picky. Among his daily treats are Greenies and since we found these on Amazon, Zuke's Jerky Naturals. I will say that we tried two different kinds. Along with these, we tried the Wellness WellBites Chicken and Venison Recipe Dog Treats, 8-Ounce Pouch.

The Zuke's are really potent. When you open the bag, you catch a big whiff of how strong they are. They're probably real flavorful because of it (I didn't try one). The Wellness treats seem a little dryer. While our little guy likes both of the treats, the Zuke's win over the Wellness. Plus they're cheaper so that's even better. He can't get enough of them.

We also tried the Zuke's Z-Ridge Mini Carrot Fresh Breath Dental Chew Bones, 15 Count Pouch made by Zuke's. He doesn't like those as much as the Greenies.

I would say that this product is one of the best we found for our dog. Plus we were able to take advantage of the free super saver shipping as well. These are highly recommended.

He still loves them!

We've had to start giving our little guy Remedel for a little shoulder injury he had. These Zukes make it real easy to give him the pill. Since they're moist, we just put the pill inside and press it all around the pill. That way he doesn't even know he's taking it. Trying to give him pills with the Wellness treats doesn't work so well since they're dryer.

Anyone else notice that they seem different?? The last couple packs we bought were dryer and brittle. They also weren't as potent as the other ones were. He doesn't seem to like them as much any more. I don't know if the bags we bought were partially opened so they dried out by the time the were delivered or if their recipe changed. I'll buy some more and see how they turn out. A little disappointed...

I have a geriatric mini poodle. He can't chew biscuits or rawhide textures,but these treats are soft enough and still provide some workout for his gums and remaining teeth.

I appreciate the fact that the ingredients are domestic and it is manufactured in the US.

I bought two bags of these, thinking it was the same product that I used to buy in different packaging (light blue, with a see-through dog shape against a grass green background). Unfortunately, it was completely not the same thing! These treats were actually like jerky-tough and brittle. I give my dog soft treats because he doesn't chew the damn things, and he choked on these horrible things; I had to toss them out.

Note that the "Zuke's Jerky Naturals" with the other packaging (http://www.amazon.com/Zukes-Jerky-Naturals-Beef/dp/B00008DFPY) have always been moist and soft, and I've never had a problem with those. I suspect that this batch was not new packaging, as I had thought, but very old packaging; these may be the same treats I usually feed my dog, just having sat on a shelf for years. In any case, these were COMPLETELY different treats, and not safe to feed my dog.

These are not the tough, durable jerky that I was expecting, but small, soft, chewy squares. They break up easily into tiny BB sized balls (maybe 12 per square) and my puppies will do ANYTHING for them! Best dang training aide on the market!

I got the liners for my French Bulldog babies...it seems to have worked alright for the first use (Keeping the urine from seeping to the floor underneath) then after you wash the liner a couple of times it NO longer absorbs the urine and keeps it from soaking your floor under it. For the price...I would not recommend this product. If you need something for a ONE time use...then it would be great. The one thing that I did like about the liner's is: it really does "stick" to the floor.

... your dogs' tags don't set it off. I thought it was a failure because it seemed to go off randomly, until I figured out it was his tags jingling that set it off. So I found a tag that wraps his collar instead of hanging and that solved the problem.

Big news around my house is that it works on a 50lb compulsive barker. It emits a sound different than the other sonic items I've tried and he absolutely hates the sound and stops barking immediately. He not only doesn't bark but once, he runs off if someone else barks. Result is no one barks, because he's always been the instigator. He's also seemed to break his compulsion he barks less altogether.

When he doesn't have it on and starts barking because of someone arriving I just hold it up and approach him he stops barking.

So I tried shock, other sonic bark-stoppers, and citronella, and this is the only one that has worked! Whew, it is quiet here again, after 3+ years! I'd about given up hope, but 4 dogs were moving in next door and I got desperate. If it hadn't had a money-back guarantee I wouldn't have tried it.

BTW, I got it from Better Life 24/7 and their customer service is excellent. You need only order any 6-volt battery for this. The battery from the failed Spray Sense collar work fine.

I read a review regarding this collar prior to ordering it. And she was spot on! This collar is terrific! The very first day that I put it on my dog he improved! There are certain things that cause him to bark excessively, like the Gardner or Pool man and I could never get him to stop barking. The collar emits a tone that gets louder and longer every time he barks. Typically by the 3rd time he is barking excessively he stops and gives up. I no longer have to waste my yelling at him to make him stop, he wouldn't listen to me when he was like that anyway. As far as the intermittent barking, a kid playing out side or a neighbor walking their dogs by, has improved dramatically. The issue that the other reviewer mentioned about multiple dogs, and another one without the collar sets off the sound on the dog with the collar, is totally true. However, I have noticed an improvement in my non collared dogs barking. He barks way less now too! Thank you for such a wonderful product! I love it! My only down side comment would be that the battery is hard to find. We had to order it online, couldn't find it at any stores around us. As another reviewer pointed out, this does go off if your dog shakes his head with a tag on his collar so I took off his other collar off to prevent "misfires". Found it still goes off if he wrestles the cat, jumps off the couch, walks... breathes....

Does NOT come with a battery (which the instructions say the company sells) so they should just charge you an extra buck or two and include the battery so it's ready to go straight out of the box. Feels light in weight which is good for the dog but in this case light might equal cheap since it is malfunctioning. Looks ridiculously big on a 15lb dog would be nice to have a smaller size for traditionally tiny+yappy breeds that might need it. Sounds like a fairly loud microwave oven beeeeeep!!!! going off next to your ear and I kind of feel bad for this going off randomly next to his head. Customer service said they could send a replacement but this is getting boxed up and going back.

After reading all the reviews,and being awaken by good old "Roxie" at 3:30 AM something had to be done.After purchasing the unit,it went to work right away.Peace and restful sleep again. I bought two of this product for my son's dogs. They worked, but only for a day.

And unfortunely you CAN hear them. By day two we were not only listening to barking

but also a high pitched noise which made it all that much more annoying.

My lovely grand dogs just wiggled their ears a bit and continued barking.

On the companies behalf my sons dogs are both part pit bull and a mix of great dane. Not many things stop

them from doing what they want to do. I thought I would give this product a try, but they did not work.

The delivery of this product was quick.

If the noise doesn't bother you and your dog is little and more agreeable this product might work for you.

I'll admit I was a bit shocked by the price of these Bison Chews. But, each one lasts for more than one day (I have two aggressive chewers). And, if you have a diabetic dog, this treat seems to be very acceptable for them.

A bag of the "bits n' pieces" keeps both of my dogs busy for a week or two. Probably would last well over a month for most dogs.

At this price, it comes out to about 4-5 per treat. That's actually not all that expensive.

My husband is a disabled veteran, and we recently got our puppy into training, working towards being a service dog. We have been looking into various harnesses and were staggered by the cost of most of them. The puppy is still growing, so we needed something adjustable and with removable patches. We had just about given up and decided to wait until he's full-grown before buying a harness when we found this one. It's exactly what we needed! Adjustable, removable patches, and they have a huge variety of replacement patches. We also really like the reflective strap across the front.

The harness is sturdy and seems well-made. My only complaint is that the plastic buckle on the girth strap seems flimsy, but we've been using the harness and the buckle held. Don't be misled by the fact that it's size "Medium." Our pup is 80 lbs. now, with about another 20 lbs. to grow, and it fits him very well. Overall, we are VERY happy with this harness. I would absolutely recommend it!

I returned this harness due to the craftmanship as it could not fit right on my type of dog(s). It WAS heavy duty, solid, and strong...those are it's scoring points. The dogs I have are SHEPHERDS. They have V-shaped chest cavities, and no matter how I adjusted the Velcro, it would NOT stay sturdy or straight. Too much slippage. It was obvious that this type of harness is specifically designed for LABRADORS ONLY and such breeds WITH A BARREL-SHAPED CHEST CAVITY. So if you are reading this, save yourself time, money, and aggravation and listen to my advise and don't be a dummy by ignoring it. If you have a dog with a barrel shaped chest cavity, it will likely work great, otherwise, NOT. I will say that the company did not give me any problems with the return, however keep in mind that their return policy is VERY short, so if you do not react right away for your return, you might eat it on the purchase.

This product is excellent value for the price. It is very well constructed with solid materials and heavy use stitching. My only caveat is to carefully measure your dog. I accidentally ordered one that is too small for our service dog, but luckily this harness is almost perfect for our 7 month old dog in training.

If I could add one more thing to it, I would have a sewn on clear pouch to slip my dog's certification card in. This way it wouldn't have to dangle from the D-Ring.

Since they love all things potato and sweet potato, I knew the girls would like these snacks. They're a nice small size and thin in the middle so I thought it would be an easy thing to break the individual bones in half. Not!

These are tough, chewy little bones; giving a whole treat to one of our small-mouthed girls might be the equivalent to giving her a stick of gum.

Thus I cut these treats up into little pieces for the girls. They like these bones quite a bit and look forward to them. Larger, less fussy dogs might not need to have their treats cut first.

Be aware that these treats are made in China.

One dog was very pleased the other could take them or leave them. Definitely nutrious for the dogs, small size.
