Easy Walk Harness - Medium, Fawn

I learned about this product from a friend who ran a rescue group for pit bulls, and was skeptical that they could be as amazing as she always made them out to be. The skepticism disappeared the first time I took my dog on a walk using one. I have a 50 lb pit/vizsla mix and she is a puller. The obedience school I took her to had originally suggested a prong collar but I felt too cruel using one. This allows me to control my dog when walking without fear that I am cooking or hurting her. As a matter of fact, I am also currently fostering two pit bulls (in addition to my dog, and they each have their own easy walk), and with these harnesses I am actually able to walk all three at once. Considering that the two fosters had never been on a walk before I brought them home (they had spent their lives mostly chained to a tree), this is no small feat. I recommend this harness to ANYONE who has dogs.

I purchased this fawn harness and another black one for my two standard poodle puppies. They were using the Gentle Leaders, but I was worried they would injure themselves when they jerked around, wanting to play with other dogs we saw on our walks. These harnesses have worked much better. The dogs are easier to control and have actually calmed down, no longer pulling me along but walking at my pace. Best of all there is no chance of injury to their necks. Highly recommended.

Italian Basket Muzzle - Size 6 - Black

This is a fantastic muzzle. Works every bit as good as the $200 hand-stitched Italian model. Had to give it a try before I spent that much money. Great value and my pup is able to be a part of the family without fear of unwanted advances on my other dogs. Does not appear to interfere with any of her activities.

I got one for my dog. He tried his best to take it off but it did not come off nor did it weaken the straps or bars of the muzzle. He is getting used to it but my irritable baby has a ways to go.

I highly recommend this muzzle. I purchased this muzzle for my dog because he has a problem with chewing everything he can possibly find except his toys. As well as he has some behavior problems. I got this item twice. The firs time in December of last year. My dog did everything he could do to break this thing and get it off. Hey ran it against fences. He looped it in a hook and pulled (yes dogs are this smart and methodical.) He drug it along the ground, and through the snow (perhaps attempting to freeze it off..lol.) He scratched at it, banged it against table legs and drug it across the fence everyday for the next 3 months until he finally got one thread of the basket to break. But the rest hung in there (the muzzle was still usable)! Only this month I decided to be on the safe side and get another one. Now finally he has started to realize he's not getting it off until we decide.

For those who say that their dog got this off, it is my belief they did not pull the collar tight enough. Mine, I had to make new holes to get it that way (drill and screw). You don't have to choke the dog, but you can't give allot of slack either. This is the same mistake that I have found most people make with collars of any type.

Also some extremely strong dogs like pit bulls can get nearly anything off if they really want to. I've seen a German bred Rottweiler run through a wood fence when motivated enough. Please remember this is still a training aid. If you want something that you have to depend on for true safety with a truly aggressive animal (as in life or death) pay for something more heavy duty. Or consider other options.

I have a 4 year old English Springer Spaniel and 13 cats (yes, 13). My Springer is a good dog and for the most part does love my cats (they play, he grooms them, etc) but he is food and toy aggressive and doesn't like to be annoyed when he sleeps (and 13 cats can be pretty annoying, especially when you're trying to sleep). I needed to find a way to keep everyone safe and happy. Keeping them all separated was not an option, and I surely wasn't going to keep my boy crated at all times, so I decided to give muzzling a try (I'm not thrilled with it but it works). I tried a few other similar muzzles but they were very hard and stiff and not at all comfortable for my dog. This muzzle is made of semi soft, semi pliable, plastic. It's sturdy yet comfortable, my dog doesn't seem to mind wearing it at all. In fact, when we enter the house he walks right over to it and holds his head up waiting for me to put it on him (he really is a good boy). The fit is perfect and it isn't easily removed (by the dog). My dog can pant, bark, drink and even eat to an extent with it on (I do remove it at meal times). The only complaint I have is that it doesn't last (it cracks and breaks). I suppose the softer plastic has it's good points and it's bad, it is more comfortable for the dog but it wears out faster (and my dog isn't rough on it). I've gone through 8 of these muzzles in just over one years time. Granted, my dog wears this on a daily basis, so it may last longer for someone only using it occasionally. In any case, I am very pleased with this muzzle and will continue to purchase them as needed. It's keeping the peace around here, keeping my kitties safe, and allowing me to keep my dog.

1. As another reviewer mentions, you may need to make a new notch in the collar for it to fit properly. Easily done with the tip of a knife or pointed scissors.

2. The front grill seems pointless to me. I always remove it.

This product worked for me, in conjuction with a device that stopped my dog from barking (and therefore panicking). on my white door the dog design is not very noticeable. My only problem was that when I tried to remove it to reposition, the paint came off my door! I'm in a rental, so I am guessing the quality of the paint job was not good. And even with that problem, this item was well worth it -in fact I cut it into two pieces and used on two doors.

Wire is very thin and breaks easily and didn't work when we buried it like instructions said. We ended up running our along the block wall. Battery covers on shock collars fall off easily. Ready made pre-twisted wire is available and the best choice if you need a long length but you can also make your own. When twisting dog fence wire, you should aim for at least one twist for every inch of wire. Since twisting the wire will shorten the overall length you'll want to start with a piece that is about four times as long as you need the finished twisted piece to be. Fold the wire in half, secure the looped end to fixed point and then twist (to do it by hand) or tighten the two free ends in the grasp of an electric drill for quicker results. Super Pet Small Animal Critter Litter, 4-LB

Just love this litter. Our Holland Lop drinks a lot of water in Hawaii, which would make the critter litter in the box turn to cement, as one reviewer noted. I put a layer of wood shavings in the litter box to soak up all the liquid and then put a thin layer of critter litter on top. We use a large corner litter box for our rabbit, so I usually add another layer of sawdust and critter litter on top the second day and clean the box on the third day. Originally we made our own litter boxes out of soda case boxes (husband drinks a lot of diet coke), and just threw the box away every few days, but got tired of making the boxes. You will need to scrub out the litter pan occasionally, but the wood shavings seem to keep the "cement" from forming. The smell is virtually nonexistent.

One thing, the bag is not rabbit proof. Our rabbit runs loose in the house and once I blocked one of the rabbit's favorite spots with a new bag of critter litter. She shredded it trying move the bag out of the way. The litter was easy to sweep up and put in the old bag.

This is perfect for my ferrets; we switched from Yesterday's News a couple of years ago. It doesn't smell when it's dirty, it isn't dusty, and my ferrets aren't tempted to play in it and fling it around (anymore!). An eight-pound bag lasts about a month (two ferrets and multiple boxes). Wish it came in bigger bags, though!

My two little harlequin rescue ratties learned to use the litter pan (a triangular shaped recycled milk carton cut down and fitting exactly into a corner, and filled with Fresh Step) in one trial, and I thought that was normal for rats, and I bragged about it. Then just for spice I got this new rattie, this pet-raised little blond, and she ruined everything--not only didn't learn, and peed and pooped everywhere she wanted to, but she got the other girls off track, too! So I got this litter. It did not change the situation at all, and it also has some undesirable attributes that ordinary clay litter like Fresh Step escapes: it dries, as other reviewers have mentioned, into a curious concrete bottom-gripper, not a scoopable clump, if any gets knocked out of the litter box the bits form ugly clay smears when you wipe across them in cleaning up, plus the other undesirable, the price. Nor did my ratties seem to prefer it over other kinds: I used several kinds, non-clumping borrowed from neighbors with cats, in trials, and varied the locations, and found no preferences among them, for ratties. I counted poop and felt quite the researcher. They did prefer one corner, but not one litter. That makes it an ordinary three stars for this 'special' litter, based on the weaknesses I listed.

For rat owners, that's not the end of the drama, of course. What did I do about the maddening loss of sanitation? I analyzed it and concluded that I had spent very much more time observing the harlequin ratties, as new pets, and 'caught' their every move, and reinforced the right ones probably more often than I realized (since I now know that rats like kind words and little pats very much, even more than a treat, when compared to dogs, and I realized they had gotten more than one trial of those kinds of rewards, and the one actual food reward, to learn to use the litter pan originally). So I began to watch the new rat especially and all of them in general, or let me say I learned to listen for the tell tale scritches when they were in the litter pan as well as watch for it more carefully, and I rewarded generously with all kinds of treats, both social and edible, and within hours Baby had begun to please, and the other girls were back on track.

So I conclude that success in litter training is in the careful observation and reward of desired behavior, not in the type of litter, and that as far as litter goes, this one ain't all that. Fresh Step, the clay type, controls smell better, is just as small for their little feet, and is of course cheaper. But it has little pieces of charcoal about the same size as rat poop, making it slightly more difficult to clean out than to throw out and start over. But since it does not smell, it can sit for a couple more days and you don't have to compulsively pick through it to make it last. I imagine there are even better kinds than Fresh Step, but for me the point has been, train, don't worry about the litter except to get the kind they don't eat.

I was using plain old kitty litter before I starting buying Critter Litter. I was such a mess it was almost not worth litter training. They would drag it around the cage and make a big mess. Now however, these stuff is perfect. It does just what I need. As for the litter becoming cement like yeah that does happen. It happens to a lot less of a degree if you add a good inch to the tray no just enough to cover the bottom. Just make sure you add enough and it is great. It's a little pricey but the amount of time and effort it saves me its worth it.

I have two rat terriers who are just terrible together, but perfect alone. They are going through training with a dog trainer and one of these was recommended for me. This thing works like a charm! It was a little hard to pair the add-on collar to the transmitter, but if you only have 1 dog you will be fine.

The dogs started responding immediately. They know that once the collar goes on they need to cool out. I actually use the "positive" reinforcement tone as a warning. When they hear that beep they look at me and I know I've got their attention.

I have a problem with one of my dogs and excessive barking. It is so bad that I have receive anonymous letters from neighbors, a visit from the police and a letter from the county animal control. I purchased this collar in January and it worked very effectively for 2 weeks. The Citronella spray stopped my dog from barking more than once or twice (as opposed to 20 times) and it was great. After 2 weeks, the collar stopped working.

I contacted the manufacturer who asked me to take some trouble shooting steps and, when it still did not work, they authorized the return of the product. The return was at my expense but I did receive a replacement in about 2 weeks. I will say that Innotek's customer service was very good. I received the replacement collar and for 2 weeks it worked perfectly and was effective in stopping the excessive barking.

Unfortunately, once again it has stopped working and will not spray. I am not sure I want a device that I must keep returning and while I do not know if I am just unlucky and received 2 lemons, I am concerned about an endless cycle of returns.

I went on Amazon to return the collar as defective but it cannot be returned as it is designated as "hazardous materials." I may be forced to go through the return process again with Innotek if it can't be returned (or just stuck with the loss of my money).

UPDATE: Amazon promptly responded to my question about the return (or inability to return) of the collar and issued a refund. As always, Amazon's customer service is very good.

I have had this product for well over a month, and it still works great, so just be aware that the other reviewers might have had faulty products and just needed a return. Maybe their dogs are a little crazy and rough house the collar a bit too much. It is a relatively durable case, but I believe that strong impacts would do some damage to the unit. Some good and bad points now:

The spray is VERY effective for curbing barking

Is not sensitive enough for small barks and whining, so this does not solve those problems. If your dog is smart and figures out that quiet barking is not punished (like mine did), you'll still have a problem barker, but just not as loud.

My dog is not afraid of the collar, but knows to be quiet when it is on

Make sure you say 'no barking' or 'quiet' every time it sprays if you can. The dog will learn your command as well.

Overall I highly recommend this product for $40. However I do NOT recommend it if you bought it at the $100 that Petsmart wants to steal out of you (though I do love that company). It is simply not a $100 value anti-bark system, more like $40-$50.

This product worked great for a few weeks. Then it stopped working, it just would no longer spray. I thought maybe the battery? Nope! Maybe it got wet, and ruined the sensor? So I bought a new one. Silence for a week then the same thing happened, it just stopped working. I also found a crack in the housing which let the citronella leak out. So again for the limited time that this product physically worked, it was wonderful.

I was leery to buy this product based on several reviews mentioning that the collar stopped working. We were desperate and waiting on a knock on the door from the police due to our dog's excessive barking in our chain-link fenced backyard so we tried this collar and it curbed our dog's barking immediately. This collar is not at all what I expected, obviously, and here's why. First of all, the sound the collar makes to "distract" my dog from his barking, is audible to humans as well. It's not even that high pitched of a tone, so it very rarely distracts him. And the collar activates when he's running down stairs or yawning, but not when he's actually barking or growling. This seems to confuse him more than anything. Lastly, the device takes only its own kind of battery and you have to replace it monthly. I highly suggest looking into different products for bark control.

I've pretty much tried everything to stop my 6 month poodle from incessant whining. Group lessons, private lessons, positive enforcement, ignoring whining in the crate, banging, etc. The problem is my puppy is overly attached to people, and "overly socialized" where he's not afraid of any sound (not afraid of cars, motorcycles, etc). The whining creates a lot of strains with my neighbors and at my workplace and something got to be done about it.

I bought this device from Petsmart hoping it would work. Nope. Sound simply doesn't work on a puppy who is not afraid of sound or anything else. This device would work well on fearful dogs but not mine which has been "overly socialized." I also tried the top of the line shock collar. No cigar. These devices simply create more anxiety and escalates whining. Good thing Petsmart has a good return policy and I got my money back.

Fortunately, the Gentle Spray Bark Control device works instantly. He hates the smell and the surprise; the moment the spray activates, he stops whining. In contrast, the Petsafe beeper would beep along with the whining, which is really annoying.

Shock and sound are a thing in the past. The most effective tool is the citronella spray (e.g. Gentle Spray).

I got a little worried after I purchased this collar and read all the negative reviews on here, but I gave it a shot and it's actually been a god send. My dog is also a maltese (the guy at Petco said this type works well with small dogs) and he was barking for hours while I was at work. After my first condo complaint I got the citronella collar and he was completely traumatized by it. He was hiding under the bed for hours, wouldn't play with anyone. So I took that collar back. Then another neighbor complained so I thought I would try this sonic collar. Every time he hears it, he immediately stops barking and even whining. I only heard it go off once when he didn't actually bark, which some people had remarked on. It is lightweight, and it does seem to be helping my dog to bark less. There are a couple of pitfalls: on the low setting it sometimes doesn't pick up my dog's bark, but on the high setting it is set off by his movements, which has proved to be confusing for him during the learning process. Also, and this is no doubt my own fault for assumming, but I sort of thought the incredibly high-pitched noise wouldn't be audible to humans. Well, it is, and wow...it's every bit as annoying as the bark!

Take it or leave it, it's an okay product.

PlayaPup Dog Belly Bands for Incontinence/Training

These belly bands are fabulous, and exactly what I need. I have a male Pomeranian, and he is not incontinent, simply evil. He was neutered at 6 months, but still insists on marking EVERYTHING. That's where these come in. I love these belly bands; they are comfortable and soft, yet the velcro is strong enough that no amount of devil-wiggling by my naughty dog can get them off. I line them with lady's feminine pads, and the extra absorbency is perfect. The ONLY issue I have is that the small is a bit too tight when his full coat is in (Poms have a very fluffy double coat) and the medium is a bit too big. However, I adjust by using a thicker pad on the medium, and a thin pad on the small, and it works out pretty well. Unlike the belly bands with elastic in them, this does not pinch or bruise my devil-baby's tummy skin, and he likes the pretty colors in which they are available. This belly band has been a life saver for me, and my ancient old dog.

He's on strong diuretic meds for congestive heart failure, which results in him drinking/peeing 3 times more than normal. Poor old thing has a slow leak while sleeping now, and wakes up covered in pee, as do all the towels covering his bed. He was always quite stinky within a day of a bath, until I found this band.

Now with a maxi pad stuck in this band (overnight pad with wings works best), my house and dog are pee free!

He even sleeps better at nights now, not waking up wet anymore.

I did notice the small was a little too small for my 16 pound poodle, until I tumble dried it on medium for about 5 mins (label says 'don't tumble dry', I realized later). But now it's slightly larger, and fits perfectly!

A few months ago I bought him the dog diapers that have a loop for the tail but even the smallest of these never fit right and he managed to wiggle out of them. These belly bands work great and stay in place! He's 4.2 lbs and I bought the xxs. He's jumping around and playing as usual in it which makes me very happy I think because his tail is free and he doesn't feel completely confined. I just line it with a ladies pantyliner and so far it's working great. He has peed in it of course but at least the pee is off my sofa for good!

I bought it for my pug who tends to lift his leg on whatever he wants. This does what it is intended to do-keep my furniture tinkle free. It fits well and remains in place with no need for adjustment, and it doesn't seem to bother my pug while he's wearing it.

This fit well. Ordered a Medium for a 19 lb dog with a 17.5 inch waist. As he wore it the band folded and creased. This allowed him to pee out the top and for it to shift down his back. So overall it did not accomplish my goal of keeping his urine off my floors.

Bought one at Petco that has elastic all the way around on both sides. It holds well. Top Paw brand washable male wrap.

The collar looks nice at first, but it is poorly constructed. The leather dye bleeds and stained my dog's coat orange. The buckles are slightly too small, so it's difficult to get this collar on and off. It also stretched out rather quickly so the collar no longer really fits.

Awesome stuff, it stopped my puppy from chewing on the molding around the floor (knawing off our paint and huge chips of wood), our wooden chairs, and anything else we didn't want her destroying. I also recommend telling them 'no, that's not your toy', and then giving them one of they're toys that they're allowed to chew on and say 'chew on your toy' to help redirect that behavior. It's natural for dogs and especially teething puppies to want to chew on things and they need to have something they can chew on, but this spray really helps to let them know what they can't touch. It's really powerful stuff, definitely hold your breath when spraying it (a mask would probably be better) because if you breathe it in while it's airborne it will linger in your mouth and it tastes HORRIBLE!!

I just got a new puppy and she is chewing on every cord that I have in my house. Given that my other dog is well past that stage I never really worried about having so many power cords, USB cables and printer cables running through my workspace. However, the new baby nearly gnawed through my HDMI cable and I was not happy with that.

As a temporary measure I rubbed some hot sauce (sparingly) on the cables and that seemed to help. I then ordered this spray hoping that it would do the job. Let me just say, it is really potent. Every time that I use it I taste it in the air and I HATE it. It makes my lips swell and the taste lingers for hours. However, the puppy doesn't seem nearly as affected by it as I am. My older dog sniffed the cable that I sprayed (just to see what I was doing) and she ran away from it. Maybe really young dogs--my puppy is 8 weeks old--don't have as finely developed sense of taste as slightly older dogs do. Anyway, I will continue to use it, only AFTER I buy some sort of gas-mask, and I will update this review with my progress.

We've got a young lab that will chew on "anything" and was pulling up/chewing up our neighbor's solar yard and walkway lights. I sprayed this all over the new ones I bought to replace the damaged ones. The dog left them alone for about 3 weeks then, I found one back at our place (but not chewed up). I sprayed it, reset it, and resprayed all of the other ones again. This does seem to work.

Cleared my sinuses right out. Taste and smell does tend to linger. Seems to deter my cat pretty well. Suggest using in well-ventilated environment.

The reviews are right. This doesn't really work. My puppies didn't like the taste. However, they still licked on it. They would just shake their heads after they lick it. Then lick on it again. I wouldn't buy it again.

My cats love fresh water. Unfortunately, they are always hovering around the sink, ready to drink out of the faucet. I've been dying to try one of these filtration devices, but knowing how fickle cats can be, I wasn't sure if these filters were overly noisy or would attract my cats. This device works great. The cats are intrigued both by the sound and the constantly moving water, and they drink from it regularly. The sound level is comparable to a fish tank filter, which is oddly soothing. The filter does a good job picking up fur, but with 2 cats, it is admittedly a constant struggle. I give no demerits for that, but the only downside is that there must be a plug located relatively close to their bowl. The cord is a few feet long, but there are no outlets located near the kitchen floor in my house, as most kitchen plugs are (obviously) located on the countertop. Please keep that in mind as you may need to rearrange your dog or cat's feeding area to accomodate. All in all, a fine device.

Our dog was freaked out by the presence of this item in her bowl. Not a good choice for skittish animals. Additionally, over time, mold grew where it was placed in the bowl. We were not impressed. Not recommended.

I had good intentions with this product that my dogs would have more fresh water and their well being would be dog-gone-good. It was a good thought but the reality is it didn't work out to well for me. The electrical cord was too short and without running an extension cord, which is not a good idea around playful often mishievous dogs,would not operate in ther area. That was the first problem. The second problem was when I gave a demo for the dogs they gave me the sideways shake of the head look like what is going on? They would not drink and as a matter of fact were a little intimidated as they backed away as though scared of the gurgling sounds coming from ther dish. So much for good intentions. I had to put it away because they would not drink from it and I was afraid to find out what they would do when I wasn't around. Besides the cord nearby was not a good idea. For me it didn't work out well. this is not to say you might not have better luck with your pets. Mine just did not like it because the sound freaked them out. Good luck if you buy this one. Myself I dump(water a plant) the water and give them fresh.

I have a tightly wound Aussie, and she was not pleased with this thing in her bowl. She refused to drink from it the sounds and splashing were scary. The cord was also ridiculously short and we had to relocate her water bowl to use it. She doesn't really like change and at first thought that relocating the food and water bowls were the issue, but when we removed the filter at the end of the day, she drank just fine from the relocated bowl.

My dog is also afraid of the vacuum and other things that make noise, so she is probably not a good candidate for this item, but I wanted to try it because she tends to get filthy sticking her face in mud and then her bowl gets dirty and slimy, and I hoped this would help. But, I guess the dirt is really not bad, much like when we were kids and drank from a hose, we built up a lot of resistance to germs that way. Maybe dogs don't need filters.

This didn't work out well for my boxer as she didn't like the noise and thought it more of a toy. She stays outside most of the day so we had to use a long outdoor extension cord which was in the way. I thought it was more of a fountain but the filter kept most of the dirt out. I would think it would be better suited for small indoor pets.
