This is a fantastic muzzle. Works every bit as good as the $200 hand-stitched Italian model. Had to give it a try before I spent that much money. Great value and my pup is able to be a part of the family without fear of unwanted advances on my other dogs. Does not appear to interfere with any of her activities.

I got one for my dog. He tried his best to take it off but it did not come off nor did it weaken the straps or bars of the muzzle. He is getting used to it but my irritable baby has a ways to go.

I highly recommend this muzzle. I purchased this muzzle for my dog because he has a problem with chewing everything he can possibly find except his toys. As well as he has some behavior problems. I got this item twice. The firs time in December of last year. My dog did everything he could do to break this thing and get it off. Hey ran it against fences. He looped it in a hook and pulled (yes dogs are this smart and methodical.) He drug it along the ground, and through the snow (perhaps attempting to freeze it off..lol.) He scratched at it, banged it against table legs and drug it across the fence everyday for the next 3 months until he finally got one thread of the basket to break. But the rest hung in there (the muzzle was still usable)! Only this month I decided to be on the safe side and get another one. Now finally he has started to realize he's not getting it off until we decide.

For those who say that their dog got this off, it is my belief they did not pull the collar tight enough. Mine, I had to make new holes to get it that way (drill and screw). You don't have to choke the dog, but you can't give allot of slack either. This is the same mistake that I have found most people make with collars of any type.

Also some extremely strong dogs like pit bulls can get nearly anything off if they really want to. I've seen a German bred Rottweiler run through a wood fence when motivated enough. Please remember this is still a training aid. If you want something that you have to depend on for true safety with a truly aggressive animal (as in life or death) pay for something more heavy duty. Or consider other options.

I have a 4 year old English Springer Spaniel and 13 cats (yes, 13). My Springer is a good dog and for the most part does love my cats (they play, he grooms them, etc) but he is food and toy aggressive and doesn't like to be annoyed when he sleeps (and 13 cats can be pretty annoying, especially when you're trying to sleep). I needed to find a way to keep everyone safe and happy. Keeping them all separated was not an option, and I surely wasn't going to keep my boy crated at all times, so I decided to give muzzling a try (I'm not thrilled with it but it works). I tried a few other similar muzzles but they were very hard and stiff and not at all comfortable for my dog. This muzzle is made of semi soft, semi pliable, plastic. It's sturdy yet comfortable, my dog doesn't seem to mind wearing it at all. In fact, when we enter the house he walks right over to it and holds his head up waiting for me to put it on him (he really is a good boy). The fit is perfect and it isn't easily removed (by the dog). My dog can pant, bark, drink and even eat to an extent with it on (I do remove it at meal times). The only complaint I have is that it doesn't last (it cracks and breaks). I suppose the softer plastic has it's good points and it's bad, it is more comfortable for the dog but it wears out faster (and my dog isn't rough on it). I've gone through 8 of these muzzles in just over one years time. Granted, my dog wears this on a daily basis, so it may last longer for someone only using it occasionally. In any case, I am very pleased with this muzzle and will continue to purchase them as needed. It's keeping the peace around here, keeping my kitties safe, and allowing me to keep my dog.

Edited to add a few things:

1. As another reviewer mentions, you may need to make a new notch in the collar for it to fit properly. Easily done with the tip of a knife or pointed scissors.

2. The front grill seems pointless to me. I always remove it.

This product does what is described. It beeps and shocks at barking dogs. However, if one dog barks near the dog with the anti-bark collar, the collar beeps and then shocks. In very short order as the barking intensifies, so does the shock. I would NEVER leave a dog alone with this collar on, nor would I leave him with another dog with the collar on. It's a great device, though, with careful use. Customer service department is excellent.

Works well but a bit too sensitive and I wish the battery would last longer than a week. My dog hates it but my neighbors love it. That is sort of the point isn't it.

This is one of those "you get what you pay for" situations. The collar goes off (beeping and shock) frequently for no reason, which is alarming for not just the dog, but our newborn, as well. It does not reliably go off when he does bark. We have adjusted the sensitivity settings and no dice. Amazon also sells batteries to go with this that are not compatible, so we've overpaid for something that doesn't work. Live and learn. ;-}

Working fairly. A bit unreliable, though. Beeps when the dog shakes, and does not increase its stimulation level when the dog continues barking. It just keeps beeping, and it does not deter my dog so much. Works fairly well, but not all the way through.

This collar has been by far the worst experience I have had with a product. My bore dogs wouldn't bark and the collar would just go off, that is if the batteries that were used lasted long enough to do anything. The collar was intended to help control the barking, but very seldom worked! I would certainly not recommend this product!!!

The batteries you have to use for this collar cost pratically more than the collars themselves.

Our dog was a chronic, intractable barker. After placing the citronella spray collar on her neck, she went out to bark--as usual. She barked once and stopped. Ten minutes later, she barked once more. Three weeks later, she barked once more. Three barks in four weeks--our barking problem of six years in duration solved. I highly recommend this product, with one minor caveat. She was sprayed, inadvertenly, two or three times, possibly due to exiting her doggie door too quickly or shaking her neck, apparently causing enough movement/vibration to set the spray off. However, this does not seem to be an ongoing problem.

I bought the collar and spray refill at the same time and I've had the best results so far, at the beginning I used to leave my dog with the collar on while I was working and he was home alone but he got very scared of everything I use it now just when I'm home. This product really works.

Spray product worked like a charm to stop my Aussie/Shep/Mix from barking. Still using it 7 months later. It's a godsend.

It worked for a few months to stop my bulldog/mix's barking, but he wised up and realized a little spray in the face was no big deal. Now he barks right through it.

This product works...but it depends on whether you have a stubborn dog or not. I'm going to try a buzz collar for the bulldog. I would really recommend the spray collar as a first line of attack though. Very humane and easy to use. Have not had to change batteries yet after 7 months.

I have a little dog, that barks, and barks, and barks, she barks at the clouds and trees, grass, everything in sight. Her bark is so annoying that its almost a scream rather than a bark. She is high strung, and we have tried everything to prevent this bad behavior. This product works very well. IT is very effective. When we first put it on her.. she barked, and barked.. it took her 2 days to realize that she was being sprayed. When she did get a mist in her face, she would shake it off.. she got tired of this, and now we don't hear a peep from her. I think it will work with the most persistent barker. We did find that the collar that came with the bark control was cheap and it is hard to clasp on. I had to cut it down to fit a little dog, and it frayed at the ends. If you have a little dog, a cat collar will hold the device in place. It works so well that even if the other dogs are barking it will not set it off.

Great Product The smell is offensive to the dog, but not to humans. It does not irritate her little eyes, or nose. Its a fine spray mist, that seems like a lot when it comes out, but it is not enough even to wet the fir. Just enough to get her attention.

Also, the static correction level is low. Add in the fact that one will be purchasing batteries indefinitely, this is a no go. I ordered this video about 18 years ago when I got a Rat Terrier. This video helped me train him in less than two weeks. He was off lead after the first two weeks of training and stayed off lead for his entire 18 years!!! I do think I had an amazing dog but I also think that David's video made my dog even more amazing!!! My husband, Alan, and I have used these techniques for our Vizslas through what is now, decades. I purchased a shih tzu in December of 2008 and was advised to visit Amazon.com for pad suggestions. I must admit that prior to believing all the "hype" I was very skeptical due to the cost comparison with other major brands. I ordered one box of the gridlock puppy training with the sticky peels on the back. While awaiting the arrival of this shipment I visited Petsmart and purchased a box of Simple Solutions Pee Pads and Nature's Miracle. What I learned with that experience is absorbency is the main consideration factor. If you leave water out for your dog as you should throughout the day while utilzing this brand;be prepared to have a mop and Simple Soutions Odor and Stain Remover on hand when returning home. The outer layer is a plastic blue which allows leakage if your dog releases himself more than once.It may be a cheaper brand however you will use them at a faster rate because the absorbency is of poor quality. Again, you get what you pay for. It was very important for the pee pad to be "the best" due to utilizing this method for training my dog where to release outside when the time came. Believe me, you would not want to reference back to that product if using this method to teach your dog exactly where to go in the backyard to allow him freedom and avoid worrying over the location of his/her release. Now, the Gridlock Wee Wee Pads are by far the BEST BRAND of pads for samller breeds based on my experience with the smaller dogs only. The top layer has more of a cloth feel and not the white thin layer as other brands. It is more appealing to the eye and does not take away of the decor of any room it is placed in. I don't know what mechanism they used to lure the dog to the pad to release but whatever it is cannot be beat. My dog has never had an accident or questioned where he should go when using this brand. I even tested the theory of location training versus pad training by using the pads in other rooms of the house with hardwood floors and simply placed my dog on the pad to direct one time. He will go to this pad no matter where I put it in the house. The absorbency is "out of this world." You would have a hard time trying to figure out if your dog has released or not unless he "poops" of course. They must use a dry acting enzyme agent for both due to the feces drying up very quick and hard almost dissolving. In addition, he quicly absorbs ordors as well. My dog always barks to indicate he has released which gives me an awareness to the need of changing the pads. If my dog ever stopped barking to tell me he has used the potty I would have to use the glow light for pet urine to determine the usage of the wee wee pads. THESE PADS ARE BY FAR THE GREATEST PADS FOR SMALLER BREED DOGS YOU COULD EVER INVEST IN!!! YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY BY ANY MEANS!(I don't comment on the usage for larger breed dogs only because my sole experience has been with smaller breeds. But hey, what do you have to lose.If they have a pad large enough-go for it.)

Well somebody has finally gone and motivated me to write my first ever review for amazon it's been a few months since this happened, but since it is still bothering me I thought that perhaps sharing with others may help relieve the trauma.

So picture this as they will do, you have a line-up of little doggies waiting to anoint the fresh pads that you are putting down, but as you stand up to move aside for them to have at it, in the center of the pad you notice a dark spot with some long curly strands emanating from it, so you begin to reach down toward it while you ponder "how in the world did I manage to drop a tangle of black yarn on a pad that I JUST took from a just opened box, when it's not even in the same room as my yarn stash? And do I even own any black yarn, have I ever owned any black yarn? " Then just as your hand is a split second from making contact with the black blob, your brain finally kicks into gear and recognizes the oh so out of place spectacle before you the perfect silhouette of a MOUSE caught mid-run curly tail outstretched behind him pressed within the layers of the pad agggghh!!!

Well, although all of my screaming and hyperventilating was confusing to them, still my pack of little ones was standing there with their little legs crossed, so somehow I managed to force myself to remove the "mouse-pad" and unfold another (fortunately no extra pets included in the next one),then still hyperventilating I called the company's 800 number to tell them of the horrific event, and what was their reaction no apology, no explanations, no "please give us the code from the box so that we can trace the problem", but simply "how many pads will you be sending back for exchange". Send back for exchange?! I had to leave the house, have the pet shop delivery another brand while I was out, and have my super come and throw the Gridlock pads down the trash shoot the moment that I got back keeping them, packing them up for shipping was completely out of the question, but the company had zero empathy for my situation!

Now I know that some of you may be thinking "so big deal, every factory has mice", but think about it there is not any food involved here, and mice tend to run away from movement, so can you imagine how over run with filthy vermin this place must be to have mice running through the moving machinery how dirty even the pads that don't have the entire rodent included must be?

Anyhow, the good news is that after much searching I discovered Prevail Underpads which are larger (36"), and more absorbent than the gridlocks and with the great price and free shipping that Amazon has for them, I'm paying less for a pad that can take 6 9 little dog pees than I was for the gridlocks which could only handle 2 3 of my little one's pees!

And although still traumatized by the gridlock mouse-pads, I am comforted by the fact that the Prevail underpads are made in the USA (gridlock is made in China, and we already know that China doesn't worry about putting poison in our dog's food, so how can we expect them to be concerned about the purity of pee pads), and since the Prevail is actually made for human's I hope that there might be a bit more effort at quality control.

So in a sense I am glad that the mouse trauma happened because it ultimately led me to find a cleaner USA made, cheaper pad that lasts 3 times as long pretty much a no brain-er to switch to the Prevail pads, even if my gridlock Vermin experience doesn't worry you!

I was very excited when I read all the reviews for Gridlock Puppy Training wee wee pads in hopes that it would be the magic pad for my magic mutt. Although I was pleased at the absorbency and quick drying, my puppy did not share the same feelings...everytime she tried to squat her tiny paws would slip and she could not get a grip when going on the pad... though soft, its very slippery. I'm a little sad I bought a 100...I'll keep them for traveling...This is the third brand she has tried, and she was much more responsive to the other two...I would buy a small pack first.

I purchased these dog pads because I thought I could save some money on pee pads for my small dogs. The box is nice and the way they are packaged is great. But they do not compare to the Four Paws brand wee wee pads. These get soaked like a paper towel would, and the liquid spreads right off the sides. I will probably keep searching for a less expensive version of the wee wee pads, but won't spend money on these, they do not work well.

We aren't sure what breed our dog is, so it was nice that they gave us measurements for the breeds of dogs the collars would fit. This collar fits well, and she can't pull the collar off her nose. These collars are great for using with dogs that like to pull! My dog will choke herself with just a leash, but with the halti collar she walks very nice without pulling/choking!

Hamilton 4' Fine Chain Dog Lead with Black Nylon Handle

Just a short review here. Well made leash but do be aware that it is **heavy**. Have had numerous chain leashes in the past and the thin ones like this were not this heavy. So if you're getting it for a small dog or small pup who chews leashes, just beware that it's got some pretty good weight to it.

My only complaint is that the clip that hooks to the collar is very small, we use a harness that has two loops to attach the armholes together at the back, and this clip cannot fit them. We had to buy a small carabiner as an extension of sorts... but other than that this is a very high quality leash!

This is the perfect leash for your aggressive/nervous chewer.

I went through two leashes, one of which only lasted less than a week, and a harness before I got this leash. I knew I needed something stronger than the average nylon leashes and was trying to decide between metal and mountain climbing rope. The metal ones I had seen prior to finding this one was a cable and didn't look very space efficient. I had wanted a 6' leash, since I"m used to longer leashes, but figured, since my dog always walks right next to me, that it'd be fine, if not better, to use a shorter leash.

A nice unexpected outcome of this leash is that since it uses chains, it can fold up into a very small pile. Very efficient with space. My dog hasn't even thought of trying to chew it after he tried the first time. The chain itself is solidly build, and pretty nice looking.

Reason for 4 instead of 5 stars:

The handle is horribly made. It's a very, very cheap looking piece of nylon that isn't very comfortable to hold for long periods of time. I often find myself just holding the strap instead of using the loop.

And this isn't necessarily a con for the manufacturer, but more so a tradeoff with having a metal chain leash. Don't expect to loop the chain around your hand like you would a nylon, leather, or rope leash. The metal is very uncomfortable around your knuckles when an unexpected tug happens from your dog.

We rescued a Maltipoo from a neighbor. When taking her to bed (I don't kennel my animals) needed to find a way to keep her in her bed while we slept. This worked perfectly! Light weight, but strong. Only took her 3 days to learn to stay in bed so now she doesn't need it at all, but nice to have on hand. I see no issue with using it as a walking leash. Petego La Cinopelca Soft Leather Dog Leash

I purchased this product, two, actually, as a training leash for my nine month old Rottweiler.....due to it's being advertised as soft, supple leather (NOT AT ALL SOFT) and having had a soft, wide handle. No handle, just an unfinished end. For $38.00, I would have expected to receive the soft Italian leather product, not this poor excuse. I am returning both of them.

A lead without a handle is useful to allow your dog to drag it behind inside so you can quickly grab and correct misbehavior. A looped handle can easily catch onn items and corners and endanger the animal.

The leather is soft and surprisingly colorfast.

My concern? Why the 280% increase in price in the last 6 weeks?
