Midwest Accordian Pet Gate

I needed a gate to close off an area with an opening of 55". It is easy to either move sideways or push into itself to go in or out. If you're tall it would be okay to step over. I'm 5'4" and can barely step over it when fully extended. Be aware that the wider the area to block off, the shorter the gate. The narrower the area to block off, the taller the gate. It is not very sturdy, but it held when my lab pushed against it. She does not jump so the gate works perfect for her. If you have a big dog that is a jumper, it will probably be able to go over it easily. It is tall enough that my chihuahua cannot jump over it. The only negative is that I did not realize that it has to be attached to the wall. It comes with four short circle screws for wood and metal, and four long circle screws for drywall. I used the long screws, but made sure I put them into areas of the drywall with studs behind, since I want the gate to hold. The sides of the gate come with four metal hooks/slats that fit into the circle screws, the top two which have a latch. It's not fancy, and the protector (brown thing on top) is cheap looking plastic, but it does what it needs to do. Since my house is filled with browns and golds, it blends in. More importantly it keeps my dogs where I want them.

This is exactly as expected. It's relatively inexpensive but works well and was very easy to install. It opens and closes easily. Would get again.

This is the one I selected as being the best value in an adjustable size gate. I'm using it to keep the deer off our deck. Even though they could jump it in their sleep, it seems to work fine. It moves around a bit which I think make the little critters decide jumping isn't worth it. I'm sure it would work fine for kids and pets as well. Its bare wood and needs priming before painting. It can be opened at either end and swings either in or out too. All hardware and a simple latch are included.

Pet Zoom Pet Park Replacement Pads

This is a pretty good item and is cheaper than the ones you see on TV. I feel that a smell will be inevitable no matter which one you get after awhile. I have two of these pads and whenever one gets used I give it a deep clean and then hang it outside to dry while the other one is in use and so far they are still in great shape and I cannot smell them. I would recommend this product.

This is great,I got a puppy for Christmas and this is so convenient. Because the weather here has been so bad I put it in the laundry room and my dog uses it whenever she wants. I put paper between the layers so that the urine doesn't build up and just toss the paper and I just rinse off the grass with a mild detergent. Love it.

Price point was the main focus for this purchase, and it's actually not bad for being on the lower end of this product type. We live in a 3rd floor apartment with a balcony, so this product is perfect for us. Whenever our dog needs to go we just open the sliding door and she takes it from there. She goes right to the pad and does her business. It does what it says it does. However, it is really hard to get rid of the odor from the grass patch, so I've replaced it every few months. Also be sure to empty the urine at least daily or once every few days, otherwise it just becomes putrid. The tray is durable and it just needs an occasional rinse. I ordered it off Amazon and I received it in no time.

I've rated these fake grass pads highly because they helped us train our youngest dog to limit her outdoor pottying two two areas on our deck. Our other dogs who were wee-pad trained indoors decided to follow her lead, so these pads DO get used many times daily. I don't recommend them for indoor use because they will start to smell bad quickly and the urine smell will never go away completely, no matter how much you hose them or spray with bleach. But then it's the doggie wee smell that makes the dogs keep coming back, isn't it? Oh....one more thing. WARNING: When you use these pads in trays outside, hose them down AT LEAST every few days during cold weather and EVERY SINGLE DAY in hot weather. I also spray some Dr. Bronner's soap and some bleach on them regularly during the warmer months because if you don't keep these pads clean, all sorts of interesting things will want to live in them and lay their eggs....like flies, flies that look like bees, wasp-like flying insects, and black beetles that look like the ones they're always showing on CSI. I think it has to do with the beehive-like chambers in the plastic tray and the holes punched in the grass pads along with the dog urine which some insects like for its salt. Yes...that was one horrible summer when we learned all this!

I was ready to get rid of my 2 yorkies. They just simply won't go outside to do their business if it is raining, cold or just not perfect. I bought the pet park with a replacement pad and am now so much happier with my dogs. I simply put the tray down and they began using it immediately with no training whatsoever. Yes, it does have some smell but not nearly as bad as the family room rug did. It is not difficult to clean and I highly recommend buying a replacement pad to switch out to dry. If your dogs insist upon going in the house, this is a great alternative.

I had a problem with my original charger when someone stepped on the connectors. The plastic connectors to the collar and the controller were broken. The charger continued to work but all I had were the bare connectors.

The new charger is greatly appreciated, the cost was reasonable and it fits perfectly. I like the fact that I can charge both devices at the same time.

My review is actually not on this product but rather on the Tritronics sport 50S. I've owned this product for over three years. I've used it every single day of those three years. Its been extremely rugged and reliable. I've used and abused it and any other product should have already failed by now. It will probably last another three years of heavy use. I've even dropped the remote (which is only water resistant) in the toilet once and it still works fine. This product is made in the USA, not China. I'd like to also write about the support I've received from the company. They are easily reachable. I've contacted them to order the rubber seal on my collar which I've lost to my own fault. They sent me new seals for free.

I would definitely buy their products again but probably not for a long time to come due to its reliability. Its definitely worth the extra spent on.

These were on sale at Petco, so we gave them a try. They're too big to give for frequent clicker treats with my 35 lb dog. (Cutting them in half is about right.)

Hamilton 4' Fine Chain Dog Lead with Black Nylon Handle

Just a short review here. Well made leash but do be aware that it is **heavy**. Have had numerous chain leashes in the past and the thin ones like this were not this heavy. So if you're getting it for a small dog or small pup who chews leashes, just beware that it's got some pretty good weight to it.

My only complaint is that the clip that hooks to the collar is very small, we use a harness that has two loops to attach the armholes together at the back, and this clip cannot fit them. We had to buy a small carabiner as an extension of sorts... but other than that this is a very high quality leash!

This is the perfect leash for your aggressive/nervous chewer.

I went through two leashes, one of which only lasted less than a week, and a harness before I got this leash. I knew I needed something stronger than the average nylon leashes and was trying to decide between metal and mountain climbing rope. The metal ones I had seen prior to finding this one was a cable and didn't look very space efficient. I had wanted a 6' leash, since I"m used to longer leashes, but figured, since my dog always walks right next to me, that it'd be fine, if not better, to use a shorter leash.

A nice unexpected outcome of this leash is that since it uses chains, it can fold up into a very small pile. Very efficient with space. My dog hasn't even thought of trying to chew it after he tried the first time. The chain itself is solidly build, and pretty nice looking.

Reason for 4 instead of 5 stars:

The handle is horribly made. It's a very, very cheap looking piece of nylon that isn't very comfortable to hold for long periods of time. I often find myself just holding the strap instead of using the loop.

And this isn't necessarily a con for the manufacturer, but more so a tradeoff with having a metal chain leash. Don't expect to loop the chain around your hand like you would a nylon, leather, or rope leash. The metal is very uncomfortable around your knuckles when an unexpected tug happens from your dog.

We rescued a Maltipoo from a neighbor. When taking her to bed (I don't kennel my animals) needed to find a way to keep her in her bed while we slept. This worked perfectly! Light weight, but strong. Only took her 3 days to learn to stay in bed so now she doesn't need it at all, but nice to have on hand. I see no issue with using it as a walking leash. I bought this vest for my GSD protection dog to help build back his endurance and power. He had be doing regular weekly protection training that had gotten him in excellent shape. However, last year I moved and training is a thing of the past. Gentle Leader Deluxe Head Collar and Leash, Large, Bones On Square/Black

With a 90 pound, all muscle Great Dane mix, we have used Halti head collars, Gentle Leader collar, Gentle Leader harness. The whole bit. The deluxe Gentle Leader collar was fine. The little bit of felt inside the nose loop helps to prevent chafing and the colorful ribbon on the top tries to make it look less like a muzzle. The only negative is that I expected a little bit more substantial padding on the nose loop for the price paid. It is just a piece of felt. But other than that, it was fine. The same as the cheaper Gentle Leader with a little bit of color thrown in.

We've been using the gentle leader for a while and it has been a GREAT help with our 115 lbs puppy who's a big puller. I highly recommend the gentle leader! However... the deluxe version is a joke! The padding is not really a padding at all! I was expecting much more. We added simple padding to our regular gentle leader ourselves and that is much softer and more durable than the "deluxe" padding. Save your money on the deluxe version.. NOT worth it! We returned it right away.

A friend recommended this product as far superior to a regular Gentle Leader, citing the padding as more comfortable for the dog. My dog still rolls and shoves his head into, well, everything in an effort to free himself of the Gentle Leader Deluxe. That said, his behavior hasn't gotten any worse and he still is much easier to handle than with a regular collar and leader.

This is a great quality product and is easy to adjust and fit to the dog. The leash is long enough and the width is very comfortable in my hand. It did not really work on my dog, as he still pulled. I think it might just be my dog, so I did give it 5 starts. I don't think it's the products fault. I ended up taking an obedience class with my dog, which made all the difference. I realize now that the best "leash" is time and training. It is more expensive, but you can't put a price on having an obedient, well-behaved dog you can be proud of in public instead of an out of control embarrassment. My whole family (including the dog) is much happier.
