I bought this collar hoping it would serve as a smaller replacement for my dog's citronella bark collar as my dogs are small and I wanted a device that was smaller. First, the collar strap does not have a snap buckle. You have to feed it through the clasp every time to take the collar on or off. Second there is only a "high and low" setting, not the 3 settings as described, and having the switch on high or low didn't seem to make a difference as to how loud the beep or strong the vibration was, and the vibration is quite strong. It terrified my dog. Most importantly, the collar was too sensitive, and my dog got buzzed just for shaking his head and for jumping down from the sofa. I am sending it back.

This product surprised the dogs at first and stopped them from barking for a day or two but then they got used to it and even with the settings turned to the highest they still just bark right over it. We tried both the vibration and the noise setting (there is not a setting for both vibration and sound like I thought there was) and neither one deters them. This also set off with any sudden movement such as shaking their head or running or such which is what I think made it not effective because it just sets off all the time and the dog doesnt know its because of the barking.

I can't say that this will work with all dogs, but my little inherited YAPPER (lapso apso) would not shut up. I didn't think I could take it much more until we bought this collar. It worked great on vibrate mode, and we felt good knowing that the dog wont be shocked. However, two weeks later she started up again. I wondered which one of my kids took the collar off, but realized the batteries were dead. The collar uses LR44 watch batteries. I found them on Amazon (100 for around ). If the collar works for your dog, make sure you buy the batteries before the two weeks are up.

purchased one for each dog, but the smaller one keeps coming loose and has to be readjusted often. other than that, they actually do keep the dogs from pulling and choking themselves.

Although sometimes difficult to put on, this is the single best tool to use in training and safety for your dog. Unlike most standard collars or other harnesses that pull mainly on the neck area. This does not do that at all. The motion for pulling is around the waist. It may seem strange at first but this is the only way a harness should be used

Simple Solution Puppy Pad Holder

I just got a small dog after falling in love with my friend's small dog of the same breed. My friend trained her dog on puppy pads, and had a plastic frame that held the pad in place. I couldn't find her particular frame in a store here in California, so purchased this frame. The problem with this one is that you have to take four pieces apart EVERY time you replace the pad and then put the entire frame back together. It's a major pain. I ended up buying a second frame from Amazon.com (via KV Vet Supply) by "Nothing Like It" Designs. The top frame piece is a single piece, and picks up easily when you have to change pads. I like the single piece frame so much better!

THIS THING IS EIGHT PLASTIC PIECES OF JUNK. Does it really have any purpose at all? I didn't bother returning it because it would cost more to ship and luckily did not lose my shirt on this thing. I left it out in the recycling for someone to take it. It does not hold together well and has to be taken apart each time. The pieces do not fit together well at all.

The Puppy Pad Holder works, but is a bit cumbersome and isn't the easiest pad holder to use. You have to disassemble the four bars on top that hold the pad to the assembled four parts on the bottom, then reassemble. This is not as convenient as I would prefer. It does work, however, and it seems to better define that potty area for my dogs. Its small size works well and fits nicely behind a chair. Cheap pads readily available at WalMart fit perfectly.

Bought it and at first thought it was a bit more trouble than I wanted, so stopped and just laid the pad on the floor. What I learned was the trouble was worth it. My dog never pees on the edge of the pad because of the frame, so I never have leaks or run off, etc. The pad seems to dry faster I think or maybe it just absorbs better from the center more but clean up is neater. So now that I have one upstairs for night time use in my master bath, I want one for my main floor. I went back to Petco, but they aren't selling it any more, so I am googling the internet to buy another.

I just take off the top frame slip in another pad, toss the dried used one and snap back on the top. The bottom frame never does anything but lay there.

So I recommend this to others who have a predominantly indoor dog. My 12 lb Terrier uses it all the time. My small beagle, only rarely. But for both it is a winner.

I already had this harness in a large for our 60lb Weimaraner. I found the collar a bit big on her but worked great. So I ordered a medium for my 50lb German Shorthaired Pointer. She has a 15" neck size. What we didn't know was how much shorter the harness restraints would be. WAY TO SHORT!! I couldn't exchange it for a large because the collar is way to big. So to make this work I had to order replacement restraints in size large. Which is why I'm giving this product 4 stars instead if 5. It's the only anti-pull harness I've found that actually works.

Super Bark Stop Ultrasonic Dog Training Device (grey) (5" x 7.6" x 3.75")

This product just does not work. I have tried it for almost two weeks now and if anything the neighbors dog barks more. One week was in "audible" mode and the other in "ultrasonic" mode both with the animal less then 5 meters away. Additionally, construction/workmanship of the product is cheap at best. The unit is big and clumsy and the battery compartment bulges a bit with the batteries installed. Also, Biocontrol Network sent me two items after I cancelled one. I tried to email their representative and it came back "undeliverable".

Like many people, I have ignorant neighbors that allow their yappy mutt to bark on and on and on. Despite talking to the neighbor politely and such, they still have no concern for the noise pollution. I was losing sleep, and the barking was getting so bad that I even considered moving!

In desperation, we looked online for something to stop barking dogs. We came across Viatek's Super Bark Stop and decided to risk the money.

WOW, talk about being worth the money! My husband affixed the device on a piece of wood, and staked it about 5 feet high in our back yard. It's unsightly, yes, but we're the only ones to really see it. More importantly, it's RIGHT IN LINE WITH THE BARKING MUTT. The first time he tested it, he told me the dog about jumped out of its skin! We laughed gleefully. Could a good night's sleep actually be on the horizon...?

It's been several days and Super Bark Stop has worked AMAZINGLY. The dog will no lie as far as it can away from the device...when it usually lay in the middle of the neighbor's yard. If it starts to yelp a little, it stops almost immediately. It's as if it's afraid to bark. YAY!

You can select the volume, tone, and number of barks to help eliminate false activation (say, from talking or loud bird squawking). Audible and inaudible both work fine, but we now keep it on inaudible at the two bark setting.

The device is waterproof plastic and you need 4 D batteries (not included) to operate it.

I am SO thankful we found Super Bark Stop! My nerves were really getting jangled and I was dreading early mornings, when they put the mutt outside. It's amazing at how inconsiderate neighbors are; just because you may want a dog doesn't mean I want saddled with its noise while you neglect it!

P.S. After using Bark Stop for 2 weeks (yes, it did work!), we noticed that the neighbors dog started to bark a bit more. (Not as bad as before, though.) We had it on silent, and realized that it had stopped working. Apparently, it's not 100% waterproof, despite the claims of the manufacturer. The person I bought it from said that "once it's opened, we find that it's not 100% waterproof". Well guess what? You gotta open it to put the batteries in it! Either buy a faux bird house to protect Bark Stop or house it where it won't get wet. Otherwise, you may find yourself in the same position we were in. We got a refund, and fortunately for us, our neighbors got rid of their dog...so we didn't bother getting a new one.

I would give it 0 stars if I could. This product does not work. It goes on when the dogs don't bark and makes them bark. When they bark 2 feet away, it doesn't go on at all. I tried it in audible and ultrasonic. Now I can't get this company to call me back. I have emailed 3 times and called 4 times. No customer service whatsoever. Do not waste you money on this product!

I purchased three ultrasonic devices, used all three at once and there was no effect! None! The answer is that ultrasonic does not work. I recommend that you purchase SUPER BARK STOP or any of this type, because this type has both ultrasonic and audible settings. Set it to AUDIBLE, full volume and full sensitivity. You will find that it is easier to train the inconsiderate neighbors than the dog. This will not annoy your inconsiderate neighbors as much as their dog annoys you, but at least you will be able to share the joy!

This crate cover set is so nice! Every part of this is soft and the dark brown color is absolutely gorgeous! My dog is in heaven. Much better than the blanket I was using to cover it before. My only comlpaint is that the bumper part doesn't stay up as well as I had hoped. It has velcro which attaches it to all corners of the crate, but I still find that it slides down a little bit. However, it's not that big of a deal to me. I will be purchasing another one once my puppy stops her teething phase. :)

Dog Tricks Volume 2 - Dog & Puppy Training DVD

I purchased Volume 1 and 2 of the Dog Tricks DVD, and as I said about the first one, the Instruction is very clear and simple. My Dog has pretty much mastered all the tricks in volume 2 and he loves the time we spend training for the tricks and the attention he gets when he completes them.

This video is best used in conjunction with other methods. They are short clips on how to get a specific response from your dog. It's not really a "training" video. Assuming you already have some training experience or skills in place (and let's hope you do because this doesn't teach "sit, stay or off" which are needed immediately when you get home from the SPCA or breeder with your dog) this is an amazing video to get your dog to do some specific things very quickly. For me, it has been a great supplement to training classes as well as books. The training methods are kind and fun for both person and dog. They are tricks, some useful, some just cute.

Big disappointment. I wish I could get my money back. These DVDs show trained dogs doing tricks but if you have an untrained dog you would do much better with something like the Bow Wow series by Virginia Broitman and Sherri Lippman.

I've been training my dogs, going to obedience school plus working with videos like Train Your Dog The Positive Gentle Method (which my dogs and I highly recommend) so we felt ready to learn tricks and tried this video.

Well, for the price you'd think it would be... easy to follow, but no. Instead of showing how it's done, it's narrated. The narrator's talking about what to do, but the video being shown is the dog chewing treats or something else that doesn't really help much. Most of the video were just short clips put together instead of showing the process of how it's done.

As for the narrated instructions, it would be like reading a book on how to teach tricks, so I'd suggest, just get a book. You can check out this one The Everything Dog Training and Tricks Book I also found a lot of free videos to watch on line that are more helpful.

Last thing, the video is soo short, maybe like 20 minutes or so, with 10 tricks!

To the trainer, if you ever read this comment, maybe you can put together a more step-by-step video, something like how they did the Train Your Dog video but on tricks. Thanks!

Grizzly Salmon Fillet Treats for Dogs and Cats

My dog loves salmon. As soon as I opened the box, I could smell the treats without opening its package. My dog loved them, but they smelled so fishy, I could hardly tolerate giving them to my beloved fur baby. I put them in a freezer baggie and kept them in the freezer to tolerate. I wondered if they were healthy since good fresh fish does not stink like these treats do. Would not re-order these smelly treats.

Weighted Dog Vest

This vest completely exceeded my expectations.

It has one clip for easy on and off. My dog actually looks forward to putting it on.

I consider this to be a 5 star product as it should be considering the price.

I bought this vest for my GSD protection dog to help build back his endurance and power. He had be doing regular weekly protection training that had gotten him in excellent shape. However, last year I moved and training is a thing of the past. This past week we went back to my trainer friend (a 9 hour trip) and it was obvious that he was not in the same shape he once was, so I knew something had to be done as my dogs are a great source of personal pride.

Weiss Walkie Dog Training Leash - Large/Black

We have a four year old lab, about 90 lbs, very strong. She has pulled my wife down and we have constantly worried that she will break free and get flattened by a car. We tried the Gentle Leader, a dog trainer, choke collar and a prong collar. None of them really solved the problem. We bought the Weiss Walkie on a recommendation by one of my wife's coworkers, and the difference was amazing. Even when other dogs have enticed her, she is controllable and far more restrained.

Oddly enough, now that we have the big dog controlled, we have become more sensitive to pulling by our smaller dog, about 55 lbs, lab/hound mix. We are buying another WW for her.

Our only quibble? My wife wishes it were available in other colors. Black is fine for me.

Yes, you can use your own leash to make this and I have in the past, but this just seems to work better. I have a 6 year old Golden Retriever that has pulled from day one. We tried other leads, nothing worked. This worked from the minute we put it on her. Seems it's not as invasive to her as other leaders.

I recommend it and so glad I bought it.

My dog pulls, she's very naughty. Walking her on a traditional leash is useless, because really the dog is walking me instead of me walking her. And when a rabbit or a squirrel runs by it's truly distressing.

I was a victim of dog walking the owner syndrome.

OK we all know we should have our dog trained to walk quietly on the leash, but let's face it, if you are short on time and have a high energy dog sometimes it just doesn't happen. M dog, as it happens, is good once she's been out for 10 minutes but I have nowhere to let her run and the lst few minutes are just unpleasant for both of us. This leash is an easy way to just go out, take that walk and have a reasonably good walk. Not fancy but it works well I recommend it.
