Aetertek AT-216S-350W Remote Dog Training Shock Collar, 2 Dog

Aetertek AT-216S-350W Remote Dog Training Shock Collar, 2 DogI purchased this for my two large dogs to train them not to go ballistic when someone rings the doorbell. I don't need to use the shock feature, the audible beep startles them enough. I wanted one remote to control two separate collars independently. This was shipped quickly and was easy enough to set up, but only worked a couple of weeks before the remote malfunctioned. Instead of beeping Collar One or Collar Two, every action would affect both collars. Amazon promptly sent me a new one, so we'll see how long this works.

Beyond the remote malfunction however, the collars themselves are very cheap plastic and ultra long. I have two 100 pound dogs and the collars have a good 5 inches of excess material. And the eyelets are similarly cheap. There are very sharp edges enough to draw a bit of blood while I was handling one so I had to file them down before putting them on my dogs. I would advise spending a bit more to get something of higher quality.

These products appear to be very low quality. This is the second order that I am returning for replacement. The first set I ordered one of the collar was DOA (wouldn't turn on at all). I returned it for replacement and on the second set one of the collars stopped pairing with the remote after approximately one week. (you have to re-pair the collars with the remote every time after you charge them) I am returning this item for replacement one more time but if I have any more problems I am simply going to return them for a refund. When the collars do work they work fine, but getting them to work or to stay working is the issue. Buyer beware.

I have three large dogs and needed a training collar where I could control all 3 at once...Love this product and the option to add another collar

I bought this product mainly because I have 2 dogs that I want to train (sometimes together) and I want to be able to train them "off leash" so the range was important to me.

First, the product claims "Solid remote range of up to 400-yard". The range I experienced was more like 4 feet. Any more than that and I had little reliability (and yes, the batteries were fresh and/or charged). In fairness though, I'm not certain the range was 100% at fault here as it only seemed to have about a 70% reliability rate even within a couple feet. My guess is that the transmitter simply didn't send the signal properly all of the time.

Second, training 2 dogs at once can be hard with this remote. The transmitter can handle up to 3 receivers but can only send to one at a time. As you see in the picture there are icons that represent the (up to 3) dogs/receivers you're working with and a side button to switch between them. The indicator itself is a tiny, and I mean TINY blue LED telling you which receiver is currently active. When you're walking/moving it's very hard to see at a glance and even more difficult in daylight. The button also tended to skip receivers so it was difficult to keep track without checking constantly. I would have it on Dog 1, press once to go to Dog 2 and find that it is actually on Dog 3 etc.

Even when the switcher worked correctly, which in fairness was about 80% of the time, I found it difficult to operate quickly with 2 dogs. Correcting one, then trying to quickly switch and correct the other was difficult but probably could be done with practice if the switch could be relied upon.

When it did work though, it was highly effective. I like the fact that it had 7 shock levels as well as a tone and a vibrate. One of my dogs needed a level 4-5 while the other responded to lvl 1, so that was nice to have.

Overall though, it just didn't work well enough or reliably enough for us so it has to go back.

Simple Solution Puppy Pad Holder

Simple Solution Puppy Pad HolderI just got a small dog after falling in love with my friend's small dog of the same breed. My friend trained her dog on puppy pads, and had a plastic frame that held the pad in place. I couldn't find her particular frame in a store here in California, so purchased this frame. The problem with this one is that you have to take four pieces apart EVERY time you replace the pad and then put the entire frame back together. It's a major pain. I ended up buying a second frame from Amazon.com (via KV Vet Supply) by "Nothing Like It" Designs. The top frame piece is a single piece, and picks up easily when you have to change pads. I like the single piece frame so much better!

THIS THING IS EIGHT PLASTIC PIECES OF JUNK. Does it really have any purpose at all? I didn't bother returning it because it would cost more to ship and luckily did not lose my shirt on this thing. I left it out in the recycling for someone to take it. It does not hold together well and has to be taken apart each time. The pieces do not fit together well at all.

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!

Buy Simple Solution Puppy Pad Holder Now

The Puppy Pad Holder works, but is a bit cumbersome and isn't the easiest pad holder to use. You have to disassemble the four bars on top that hold the pad to the assembled four parts on the bottom, then reassemble. This is not as convenient as I would prefer. It does work, however, and it seems to better define that potty area for my dogs. Its small size works well and fits nicely behind a chair. Cheap pads readily available at WalMart fit perfectly.

Read Best Reviews of Simple Solution Puppy Pad Holder Here

Bought it and at first thought it was a bit more trouble than I wanted, so stopped and just laid the pad on the floor. What I learned was the trouble was worth it. My dog never pees on the edge of the pad because of the frame, so I never have leaks or run off, etc. The pad seems to dry faster I think or maybe it just absorbs better from the center more but clean up is neater. So now that I have one upstairs for night time use in my master bath, I want one for my main floor. I went back to Petco, but they aren't selling it any more, so I am googling the internet to buy another.

I just take off the top frame slip in another pad, toss the dried used one and snap back on the top. The bottom frame never does anything but lay there.

So I recommend this to others who have a predominantly indoor dog. My 12 lb Terrier uses it all the time. My small beagle, only rarely. But for both it is a winner.

Want Simple Solution Puppy Pad Holder Discount?

Although it does stop my border terrier from shredding the pads, this holder is a complete pain in the arse to use. You have to disassemble the four piece frame every time and I have found this very cumbersome and time consuming. Now having to buy an all-in-one.

Fruitables Pumpkin & Mango Skinny Mini Dog Treats 5-Ounce

Fruitables Pumpkin & Mango Skinny Mini Dog Treats 5-Ouncemy puppy lab has sensitive stomach, and she can't digest any food/treats that are made with animal products, so I always read the label and make sure there are no animal products. This treat doesn't contain any animal products... It's made with Pumpkin, Oatmeal, Ground Brown Rice, Tapioca Starch, Vegetable Glycerin, Ground Potatoes, Brown Sugar, Canola Oil, Ground Oats, Mangos, Gelatin, Cinnamon, Salt, Natural Mango Flavor, Phosphoric Acid, Sorbic Acid (a preservative), Mixed Tocopherols (a preservative), Rosemary Extract.)

I gave her some, and she hasn't had any accident (diarrhea or vomiting) yet. sensitive belly approved!!

Also the mango flavor smells really good.. I was really tempting to try one, but i didn't.. lol

But why 4 stars? 2 reasons that I give this 4 stars although my dogs and I really love it.

1. It's only 5 oz.. It's about $1.4 per 1 oz. I don't mind spending money on good stuff, it's a lil bit pricy for me..comparing to other comparable treats that sell for $9-12 per a pound. (it's just my opinion)

2. Not good for training. They're little bit chewy for small dogs.. My dogs chew one treat for a long time.(about 15-20 sec) They're good for snacking though..

Anyway, although I gave this product 4 stars, I really highly recommend this for the quailty and deliciousness..

My dogs love these treats and they are loaded with all natural, healthy ingredients. They are really small but still work well for big dogs (mine are around 75 lbs). They smell amazing and I am always tempted to pop one in my mouth!

I'm a fan of these simply due to their ingredients. My dogs like them and will work (training) for themwhich is great. That said, they are not easy to break into smaller pieces. If you're looking to break treats in half or quarters, such as for training a small dog, then I would go with something else. Also, make sure to keep the bag sealed or they will dry out and become a bit crunchy. My dogs don't mind, but I know there are some that do!

Out! Puppy Training Pad Holder

Out! Puppy Training Pad HolderThe packaging is great, but the product inside is awful. When I received it. I really didn't like it at the first sight as it consists of eight low quality L-Shape plastic parts. But I decided to give it a try. Then it turned out whenever I change the pad, the pad holder fell apart easily and I had to reassemble it again and again. It was really annoying. But the thing is my roommate threw away the package and I can't return it.

This is a great invention. So easy to use and holds the pee pad real tight. My puppy does not chew the pee pad anymore.

Mini Travel Teeter (Dog Agility See-saw)

Mini Travel TeeterI have been searching for a practice teeter for my sheltie, and this is IT! I've used it several times now, and here is my take on it:

Pros:

It's really portable. The plank is made of three plastic sections that are light in weight. I'm a petite woman who weighs 106 lbs, and I can easily move it around and into my car without any problems. The base is all PVC pipe/fittings, and they are also light. The configuration of the base is very stable and easy to disassemble.

Secure and easy connections of the plank. The plank fits together with some large PVC pipes into the holes of the plank itself. For extra security, these link together with metal fasteners. I never worry about the plank coming apart.

Secure footing. It's got a great non-slip base all along the teeter plank.

Cons:

It's loud. Maybe it's the particular plank I have, but it makes a loud squeaking noise when it pivots down when my dog is on it. The noise has spooked my dog a few times, but I've been trying to work her through it. I wonder if the noise will diminish over time with use; I'm thinking it might. Just something to be aware of.

It's best for small/medium dogs. Like their description states. It would be tough to have portability and full size in a travel teeter.

******

That's my take on this teeter so far. If I find any other points that should be mentioned, I will be sure to post them. Hope this helps!

This is a lot of fun, and easy to put together if you put some pressure on it. It does seem to bow a but under my dog who is not at 70lbs, but it works fine and fits in the trunk of my little compact car.

The mini teeter was an excellent purchase. It is very easy to use and set up. It is also very easy to dismantle. Made of material that doesn't rust. It can remain outside. It works very well. My dog loves it.

Solvit Cargo Area Net Barrier

Solvit Cargo Area Net BarrierPet barriers are annoying to purchase as the good ones always cost $100 or more. Feeling cheap one day, I decided to give this one a go. One of the support straps broke as I was installing it -just from putting the support rod into it -so the manufacturing was predictably shoddy. But I could live with that -and even fix it. The real problem was that the first time I tried leaving my two dogs in the back (one 60 lb dog, one 15 lb dog) it was a joke. Within five minutes both dogs were in the front seats and the pet barrier did not even appear to have moved. There were just two happy dogs in the front and an undisturbed pet barrier in the back. So now I'm out $30 and off to buy a proper barrier. My advice: just pay the extra money for a good one. There doesn't appear to be a cheap version on the market that's as effective as the $100+ items. (I gave this review an extra star because it might work ok just as a visual barrier if you've got a huge dog).

Might work for some applications but not mine. The unit is very flexable and my big guy just pushes right around it as it bends very easy and has places where he can poke his head around it

This is a great product. I bought a new car and wanted to keep the slobber/dogs in the cargo area. I was afraid it would be flimsy but it works great. It would be nice if it went all the way from one side of the car to the other (I cover the sides of my back seat with a towel when I take the dogs now).

This was perfect for the back of our small suv. Our back headrests don't move, so it was a little tricky getting the tabs through, but I made it. If you're worried about your dog going through it, don't be. We have a 90 lb. lab, and if you're dog is trained well enough, he will stay there. Ours worked just like the picture shows, and keeps the dog hair out of the rest of the car.

I used to have a metal barrier in my SUV, but the rattling noise was driving me crazy. I found this net barrier online, and it was cheaper and SILENT! I love it. I have a golden retriever who is not a chewer and it works great to keep her and her hair out of the rest of the vehicle.

Four Paws 8-Ounce Waste Manager Attractant for DogsMy dog has suddenly stopped using her we we pads. So I bought the attractant. I swear she went in the bathroom, gave it a sniff then looked at me as to say you've got to be kidding. It did work on my cat though, but because cats do that scratching thing it made a mess. I'm sure the attractant works for others. Just not for me.

Red Dingo Designer Dog Lead, Small

Red Dingo Designer Dog Lead, Small, Chaini really loved this leash when it first came. thought the colors and patterns were nice. the black handle is very soft and comfortable. the ability to adjust the leash is so cool. But after a few uses, it's now sitting at the bottom of the drawer. The black handle easily frays and no longer is soft. when i shorten the lease, there is a loop at the bottom half that constantly tangles up my dog. wish the loop was on the top so that my dog isn't always walking into the loop. The leash is heavy-ish so not really good for a small dog or puppy.

My 4 month old pomeranian loves her red dingo leash and harness! They're adorably cute and very well made. Excellent value!! The "sprinkles" are just darker pink polka dots, they really don't show up much, but my daughters love it. Very high quality. We've used it for a month and are very pleased.

Potty Park Dog Potty Toilet

Potty Park Dog Potty ToiletI have an old dog that needs to be let out every couple of hours. Being that I work a 40 hr a week job, this was becoming increasingly difficult. I was having to my 30 min lunch break to come and let her out, and I was still coming home almost every night to accidents. I spent so much time scrubbing my carpets, it was almost like having another job! So I started looking for options. I came across a cheaper version of this product and used it for a little while but it started having problems and smelling, and just as much work as not having it. So again I looked for options. I found Potty Park, ordered it, and before I knew it, I couldn't believe we got along without it!! It has been almost a year since I got it and not one accident, still works perfectly, no smell, and extremely easy to use for me and my little dog. Takes just a couple minutes to clean up and is very reliable. My dog, even tho she is old and small, has no problem getting on it and uses it all the time. It's great for the middle of the night, during the day while I'm at work, and great if I need to be gone overnight. I told my friends about it who live in the city in a highrise apartment, and they are hooked on it now too! I couldn't imagine how hectic things would be with out it!! Thank you so much for making such an all around amazing product!!!

I have an 11 yr old toy poodle. I purchased a small deluxe potty park. It took her about a week to learn how to use it, at first I thought she was too old to learn something new. I watched the training video's on potty park website. And did what they suggest and she took to it right away. I love not feeling guilty about leaving her in the house while I am at work all day.

I used to hurry home from work and she would run outside to do her business. I didn't want to be late getting home because I knew she was holding it all day. Now when I come home she has used the potty park all I do is dump the pee tray and pick up the poop with a kleenex. I can't wait for winter, I live where it snows alot and she hates going out in the snow. Now she can relieve herself in my laundry room on the potty park.

I recommend this product. It is very well made, and so far has no bad odor which is something I was worried about. I wash the grass in my washing machine in a pillow case as suggested by the company making it easy to clean. I am going to get another one to have at my moms house because my mom watches her sometimes.

I got the potty park within 3 days after I ordered it and is good quality grass and very light to move around. I recommend this product to anyone with an indoor dog.

Buy Potty Park Dog Potty Toilet Now

I bought the Potty Park in June, back when there were no reviews posted and the only information I could find online was Potty Park's own videos (or those they pay advertisers to do). Looked like a great product. And even though I have an adult dog, the training video made me confident that we could get him using the thing very easily.

First, the product that arrived was cheap looking and feeling, and the grass is NOT real looking at all. It looks more like carpet than grass, if anything.

I did everything the training video called for, and after four weeks, had only a very unhappy dog and even more unhappy owners. I tried everything, including spraying the pheromone spray on it, to no avail.

When it became obvious that it was time to cash in on the 30-day "100% Satisfaction Guarantee", I called the company's phone number. Customer Service only went to a voice mail. I left a message and waited for a call back. The next day, after no return phone call, I called and left another message. This happened over and over again for a week, with increasingly frustrated messages from me. The fourth day, I used the dial-by-name option and left a message for the President of the company, thinking that at least that would get me somewhere. But, no response. Finally that Friday, fearing that I would miss the 30 day window, I called back and hit the extension for Sales. Guess what someone answered right away! The sales guy seemed to be very helpful and assured me that the Customer Service person had been traveling and would return my call when she was back. This was frustrating because 1)Her outgoing voice message said nothing about being out of the office, and 2)They didn't have someone else answering the phone.

The following week, I finally got a hold of the customer service person. She told me that the Potty Park could only be returned if the unit hadn't been urinated on, or if we haven't used the pheromone spray.

If we HAVEN'T USED the pheromone spray! I told her, of COURSE we used the pheromone spray, because that is part of the training.

It's a bit of a paradox, isn't it? They give you this training program, saying, don't worry, you can always return it, but the very training program makes the product ineligible for return.

As another reviewer pointed out, even if we could return it, they charge a 20% restocking fee (Couldn't that $40 go toward replacing the turf, since I used the spray?). I'm not as upset with having to pay for shipping, since that's standard, but a 20% restocking fee on what is supposed to be a GUARANTEE?? I don't think so!

So now I'm out $200, and the dog still isn't using the thing. I might try again, but I will likely just post the thing for sale on Craigslist. Maybe someone with a puppy will have better luck.

Read Best Reviews of Potty Park Dog Potty Toilet Here

My dog is a bit stubborn but still..... I bought the Potty Park about a month ago from their direct website (at the time it wasnt on amazon). At the beginnning I put the pheromone spray thing to attract her to go potty there, well that didn't work I did that for like a week. I'm still taking her everyday to the potty park with the leach on and give her the cue to pi and poo there... I don't take her outside too often in hopes that she'll end up using the potty park instead. The first few days I got it I didnt take her our to potty she held her pi and poo for almost 2 wholes days!! and she ended up just going potty on the floor with the potty park right there!

I decided to look for more honest opinions on the net yesterday, because pretty much All the reviews you see on the web those sites are affiliated with Potty Park and get payed for advertising it. You can look on the potty park website they give anyone the option to do that and you get paid for every Potty Park you sell sold! (they give you a coupon number for the customer to put in on the potty park website at checkout to receive $10 off, so that's how they know who it was sold through).. so these websites of course are going to rave about it. Now don't get me wrong I believe it works especially with puppies it has to be super easy to train them. Just MY dog so far hasn't done any of her buisness on it..

Potty Park gives you a 30 day trial, but be careful! you can return it if it didn't work for you and your dog and that they didn't pi or poo on it either(They pass returned potty parks through a black light to assure that your dog didnt pi or poo on it, this is on their website in the detailed part) If they find something they send it back to you and you have to pay for that shipping too. They also charge a restocking fee of 20%! and you dont get your shipping back either... Since to me that's a lot of money lost I decided to keep it and keep trying. I saw a video yesterday on youtube suggesting to put the dog in a crate and take him out only to use the potty on the potty park and then put him back in the crate until she learns to potty there.. Im going to try this next (just need to get a crate). I will give an update on how this works. I have strong hopes she will learn to use it soon....

Fashion Pet Blue Dog Polar Fleece Vest Medium

Fashion Pet Blue Dog Polar Fleece Vest MediumVery cute but misleading in sizes. I have two healthy beagles and the medium was far too small...nearly half the size of a size large.

I have a little Pekingese who is hard to fit due to a wide chest. This fit him perfectly and the Velcro fastenings are convenient. The lack of sleeves is a plus since his stubby little legs often get caught up in them when he walks. The quality was decent for the price though I haven't washed it yet. I will probably order another one soon.

PetSafe Pet Fence Lightning Protection

PetSafe Pet Fence Lightning ProtectionI have the Innotek 5100 system with 1000+ ft of fence wire.

On Tuesday 04/03/2012, my property was hit by lightning.

It destroyed two computers, DSL modem, Router, Two network switches, Plasma TV, Roku player, several other small electronic items and my water well pump.

Everything except the well pump was on UPS battery backup units that had surge protection and they still fried.

The fence wire was melted in 10 spots and had to be replaced.

The LP-4100 surge protector was charged black inside and out.

The wire was blown in half where it enters the surge protector , but my main fence unit is still working.

I am impressed that this surge protector worked so well in the face of such a large lightning strike.

Tri-Tronics EXP G2 / G3 Dummy Collar (strap included)

Tri-Tronics EXP G2 / G3 Dummy CollarI have no problem with this product. It is very well made, and works exactly the way you will want it to. I only want to add a caution to be very careful using this with a rescue dog with an unknown past. I tried it with mine, following directions and being very careful not to overdo it. I tested it on myself more than I actually used it on him. He was totally freaked out. He did what I wanted while on the leash, but the moment we were done training and I took the leash off, he bolted and wouldn't come back to me. My girlfriend had to go find him for me finally, because it was getting dark and he was still afraid of me. We've patched things up, and I'll probably never put that collar on him again. He was a rescue dog the we got at about a year old, and I can only guess that something bad in his unknown past makes this the wrong way to go with him. I felt absolutely terrible for days.

Nonetheless, I've seen this used successfully on other dogs, so as long as you follow instructions and be certain that your shock level is noticeable but not painful to your dog, it could be a good tool. Just watch your dog very carefully as you use it. If he's looking nervous or overly submissive, take the collar off (after you get him in the house,) and reevaluate. A dog with an unknown history may have been very abused, and will find even the lowest settings traumatic.

Still, good device, works like it should.
