This is a great, well made leash. The length has been ideal for me (and very hard to find). It's long enough that I don't feel like I'm going to land on my dog if I trip during a hike, but short enough that I can easily wind it up and keep her close when necessary.
I picked these up one day at PETCO and was amazed. My two dogs went NUTS over them. If they even hear the bag they come running. Whoever came up with this recipe knows what dogs like! One of my dogs is older and can't chew as well and the softness is particularly great for him.

I have a 10 year old, rescued, toy poodle and apparently his previous owners taught him to beg for people food. I do not feed dogs people food but I feel so bad when he sits in the floor and begs while we eat dinner at the table. So I bought these to give him when he begs. I thought it would be easier to get on/off my dogs feet. Not so much. Both my dogs hated them and they are really awkward to get them on/off their feet.
Great Crate for the price, especially with the free shipping. The ease of sliding locks makes it easier to take apart to clean and with crate training puppies this helps alot! The door latch feature is also a major plus, just pull up on either left or right doorpost knobs. I use treats for obedience and agility classes. I need a treat that is not crunchy, but chewy and capable of breaking up into small bits. This item is a great help in training a puppy to go to the door when he needs to go outside. Well-made (my first set is still in use after 4 years; this one was purchased as a gift)and so easy to use. Long enough for even the smallest puppy to reach. Definitely a "recommended" product.
I like the collar. The white light is easily visible. My only issue is the collar is a little thin (width). When I use it I also use my dogs regular collar as well.
I agree with the other reviewer. What a waste! If you're looking to see Shelties at varies stages of life, or various colorings, etc. look elsewhere. This was the only DVD that I could find on Shetland Sheepdogs, and I wish I'd passed on it. But I wanted to show the family what we're considering. I watched it by myself, and I'm glad I did. The kids would have been bored stiff, and they used ONE puppy throughout the entire video. Talk about boring. I wanted to see litters of puppies playing together, adult dogs doing tricks. Pass on this, buy a good & informative book filled with pictures, and then find homemade videos of real people with their dogs. Much more satisfying.
i really loved this leash when it first came. thought the colors and patterns were nice. the black handle is very soft and comfortable. the ability to adjust the leash is so cool. But after a few uses, it's now sitting at the bottom of the drawer. The black handle easily frays and no longer is soft. when i shorten the lease, there is a loop at the bottom half that constantly tangles up my dog. wish the loop was on the top so that my dog isn't always walking into the loop. The leash is heavy-ish so not really good for a small dog or puppy.

I have a total of three good-sized dogs and walk them together. I really like these collars, they've made the whole walking experience easier for me (and for the dogs). I had used the metal pinch collars to train two of my dogs, and these collars seem so much more humane. One of the two took to the nylon collar right away, the other one required a little more training but is now being a perfect lady on our walks without having to use the metal pinch collar. Also, the metal pinch collars don't slip around the neck as easily as these do. With three dogs, they sometimes change positions with each other while we're walking. Now the leashes don't wrap around their neck, the collar just slides and puts the leashes into the correct position. I have one of these already and now have two. They act like a mild choke, but the way they are designed it has a limit and a dog can never really be hurt by this if it is fit correctly. It is designed to fit snuggly over the head, but adjusts depending on the pressure put on it once it is around the neck. I have used this to tie up my dog outside when I am out working in the garden, as I am not afraid she'll choke herself if she gets caught around a tree. She has sometimes slipped out of my standard leather collar I have that she wears all the time with her rabies and ID tag. This also keeps her from pulling on the leash, although a standard choke chain works better than this one for more exact training. I find this is one of many useful tools all real dog people should have on-hand....And it is safe for even the not so educated dog owner.
A couple of years ago I adopted my Pepper Starlett. I brought her home at 6 weeks of age. It was a 50 minute drive from the breeder to my home. She CRIED the whole way home. I had to pull over and call my mother in tears, because I thought I was doing the wrong thing taking her home. I got home and my SnugglePuppie had arrived. I put the heat pack and the batteries in the heart, placed the stuffed animal in the crate with Pepper and she stopped whining and crying instantly. It was seriously a miracle. Worked so well, my husband ordered a 2nd one. Needless to say she doesn't need it any longer. I am adopting another puppy from Pepper's mother and I dare not go and pick Truffle up without the SnugglePuppie. I have plenty of heating pads but I can't find the 2nd heart. The first heart is not working. If I had anything bad to say about this product, it would be that I can't just purchase the heart that goes with this product. Not the toy's fault but the manufacturer's. Oh well, I will purchase the product again. Trust me, it's worth it. Whatever you do, keep the heartbeat working and the heating pads, it's worth the comfort it provides the puppy.

I have a 2 1/2 year old Golden Retriever that weighs about 60 pounds. She freakin loves life. Everything about it. The blade of grass that is slightly longer than the other blades of grass, kids that are a block away, other dogs we pass on our walk, random strangers that will obviously love her just as much as she loves them if she could just get to them. And dear god, does she ever love going to the vet. In every other facet of life, she is the worlds most well behaved dog, but as soon as she gets outside around people and other animals, she completely spazzes out. I've tried no pull harnesses in the past with varying degrees of success. But after about 10 minutes with this on, I had my well behaved dog back when in public! She will still paw at her nose occasionally if we are standing still for too long but she has gotten use to it. She knows that as soon as I pull it out, it means we are going someplace fun so gets really excited to see it. She walks right by my leg now without having to be reminded. Half of the time, I tuck the other end of the leash in my pocket because she doesn't try to sprint for shiny objects any more. I've been using it with her for about six weeks now. She will occasionally try to make a break for it when she is on a normal leash but nowhere near as much. I'm guessing that with more use, she'll figure out that she needs to utilize her 'good puppy walking' skills even without it on. My main suggestion for folks trying it the first few times is to put the lead on RIGHT before you do something fun. And keep them moving while they are getting use to it. Eventually they will forget about pawing at it and will get use to how it feels. During our first few walks, she would start rubbing her nose against the sidewalk when we had to wait at a cross walk, but she has stopped doing that. Give it time and don't give up.

I had gone through about seven different products trying to walk our bullmastiff. I have bursitis in both shoulders and we would both hurt for two to three days after every walk (my shoulders, his neck or chest where he pulled on collars and harnesses). He never grew to like this thing, but he did understand that putting it on meant going out so he tolerated it. I was finally able to walk him without feeling like I was being drawn and quartered--no mean feat with a 120+ pound dog with bad leash habits. Also, he could still pant, eat treats, and drink with the collar on, so if he fought me when we got home it wasn't an emergency if I couldn't take it off right away (as it had been with a muzzle we tried). Coloring is great. There was a little bit of damage on the ring you would attach a collar to (so i reduced it one star) but it does not affect the product nor does it touch the dog (so no harm). Color is a great bright green, just what i was hoping for. Nice pop of color on a dark dog. Was worried the lime green would look girly on my giant dog, but it looks awesome.

I initially ordered this one size smaller and the quality was great. Reordered 1 size larger and a total of 5 of this type in different sizes and colors. Paint quality was not great. On 3 of them the paint must not have dried before they put it in the plastic hangers, as those three had very sharp paint edges sticking up. The colors are all beautiful (I ordered electric blue, candy apple red, bubble gum pink, purple, and lime green.) What a shame there isn't better quality control on this product. Incidently, as the length goes up; the the links are larger and much heavier. The 20 inch collar I bought is actually quite heavy a little too heavy, I think, for the gentler breeds
