The Sofa Scram didn't deter my cat at all. First of all, it comes on when it wants to. I heard it beep once when the cat hopped onto it, and that's the only time I heard it aside from my own tampering. I eventually pressed my hand on the mat for better contact. This only worked intermittently, and when it did beep my cat was interested in the speaker--not afraid of it by any means. My cat isn't the shy, shrinking violet type, so perhaps that's why it didn't take. But, either way, this product was entirely ineffective for me.

My wife and I just got a new sofa and decided it was time to break our dogs of the habit of hanging out on the couch. Worked well with our two lab and Jack rat. It's pretty easy to fold up and you can store it under your couch.

The only reason I'm giving it 4 star is because it runs on 9 volts I think it would be cool if it gave you the option of plugging it in. So far we have been using it for 3 weeks with it on all most all the time other then when we are sitting and it's still running on the same battery.

Our Weims are too smart for their own good, so they would always find a way to sneak onto the couch... Now they have no desire to do so! The one drawback, is that the alarm doesn't respond when certain spots on the pad are depressed, but all I have to do is put it on the bed while my dog is watching and press it myself. I think he hears the sound and is smart enough to stay away from it once that happens. I think that dogs in general are smart enough to do the same. In short, it works...and it's only $25.

Silent Dog Whistle

This whistle is not a "silent" whistle. You can hear the whistle, I have tried to adjust it but it still makes noise. There are few directions on how to adjust or use the whistle. I would not buy one again. I have had it for about a month and it has been laying in a drawer most of that time. The shipping was fast.

The directions on the package say to turn the adjustment screw until an audible pitch is heard and then to continue to twist until the tone disappears. From the initial setting, I twisted the adjustment screw until it came out of the unit, and I could still not get the adudible tone to disappear, nor did the animal respond at any pitch. I found the unit not to work as decribed and threw it away.

Overall this is a good product. When assembling, I ended up having to superglue the peices together to make it hamster safe. (Make sure to air it our for a few days!) Now, my hamster sleeps in it, stores his food in it, and even manages to stuff all the extra space with bedding, which is quite amusing being he has to carry it up a tube mouthful by mouthful. The rubber loops that attach to the tubes are also compatable with the Critter Trail Tube Extensions, so this playground can be put in or out of the main cage. I wouldn't suggest using it as a main cage however, it would be to small. Also, the main pannels I recieved were not clear as in the picture, so its a little harder to see your pet when he is in it. (check out the customer images to see my design :)

This can be a little feisty to put together the first time, but once you get the hang of how the pieces snap together, it's easy. My hamsters absolutely adore the creations I've put together for them using this set. And best of all, the tunnels you can build are big enough for a full-grown adult Syrian hamster to use with ease!

i-crates are very nice but I purchased this exact crate and size that is shown. I researched to make sure this was the correct size for my mom's chihuaha mix. he is only 10 pounds and this crate was way too small for him. its so small that i had trouble opening it, the latch keep getting stuck. Not sure how the dog in the picture fits in the crate b/c my moms dog had no room to move. It will cost me money to ship it back. For this size crate, go to the pet store and make sure your dog will fit in it first or just automatically go a size up.

Mendota Products Leather Snap Lead

This lead is extremely strong and rather stiff. Will have to walk the dog for a while to loosen it up, but it should work for show purposes. Snap is very firm and feels secure. Ring at the handle end is convenient -I can use a toggle to connect the lead to just about anywhere.

I ordered this lead because it was the best deal I could find on Amazon. The lead is made of a decent leather that seems to hold together well. I have used it for one month now in dog obedience school, and it has help up. I would note the brass clip is rather cheap and hard to get onto the dogs collar. Overall, I would order this brand again.

Cloud Star's Tricky Trainers are bite-sized, palatable, chewable treats that are approximately 0.5 inches big. They come in three main flavors: cheddar, liver, and salmon. I sampled (well, JP, my dog, sampled) two flavors: cheddar and liver. These treats were perfect sized for putting into a Kong treat dispenser, and were generally palatable (JP finds them much more palatable then dry treats). I found the Tricky Trainers surprisingly more "dry" than most pocket-sized treats, however. In other words, they don't seem to be oily to touch, aren't excessively moist, and have a high anti-squish (i.e., firm) factor. This is beneficial if you're using them as true training treats to reward your dog (i.e., storing them in your pocket). Their con: I found the cheddar smell to be repulsive it has a really strong smell, so if you're cheese shy, avoid. Cheddar is the 5th ingredient (remember, ingredients are listed in descending order of predominance (from most to least). For the other two flavors, chicken liver and salmon are listed first. The other con: the number of calories per treat isn't listed, so we don't know exactly how "low fat" or "low calorie" they truly are. The final con: if you have a super picky puppy that you are trying to train (and are using these as food motivation rewards), these may not work as well as small pieces of hot dog or pieces of freeze-dried liver treats. When it comes to puppy training, finding a treat that your dog can't resist is imperative to get them to train correctly!

These products are listed as wheat and corn free, which is good if your dog has these specific food allergies. That said, if your dog doesn't have these specific allergies, not a big deal. The good news: all ingredients are natural, made in the USA, and the products contain no artificial favors or colors. Overall, a pretty good training treat!

These are great for training. Small enough to fit a bunch in your hand and they don't crumble apart very easy. They smell like brggin strips, so they're good distraction versus a dry, crunchy treat.

We recently purchased a maltipoo puppy and decided to try clicker training her using the cheddar flavored Tricky Trainers as treats. Even though they are relatively small treats to begin with, I can easily cut them into fourths which is a good thing because our dog LOVES these treats. She will do anything for them. In a matter of days we had taught her several tricks. Every time I get the clicker and these treats out, she follows me around waiting for me to start with her training. I am going to try some of the other flavors, and can't wait to see what she learns next. I disagree with the review that the odor is offensive. It smells like beef jerkey to me.

Buying a few of these from our local store, we quickly realized how overpriced they were. Buying in bulk from Amazon has saved us a bunch of money, and our dogs still enjoy their favorite treats. I prefer the liver as they stick to hard cookies and you can stick pill inside without it breaking. If you're just going to give them to your dogs as is, they are fine.

These treats are fantastic not only for training, but for most interactive toys. A lot of interactive toys have size constraints, and larger treats won't fit. These fit in just about every (I say "just about" because I'm sure there's a toy out there somewhere that won't work) interactive toy there is.

They're on the small side, so they will work well for most puppies too.

We buy every flavor for our three dogs, and they seem to like the Cheddar and Liver flavors the best.

I would note these treats would probably be categorized as "mid-value". They are high quality treats, with good ingredients, made in the United States. We currently buy every flavor we can on Amazon through Subscribe and Save, if that says anything about how we feel about them. However, if you're working with a fearful dog (which tend to be too anxious to take any sort of treat outside of meat or cheese), these may not work. Every dog is different, and you would have to see what your dog likes in stressful situations.

Two of our three dogs have sensitive stomachs, and they have had no problems with these (any flavor).

I've used this whistle for almost a year with my dog. She ranges far away when we're out hiking, and always hears this whistle and comes right away, and yet it doesn't bother my ears. I had tried different types of regular whistles and, because my hearing is pretty sensitive, they actually made my ears ring when I blew them several times for the dog. The megaphone on this whistle makes it comfortable for me by directing the noise forward. I prefer the orange whistle over the clear, because it seems to have a slightly lower tone. (Though I've met others who prefer the clear.) I discovered it initially when I heard the sound of this whistle across a big field, used by someone trianing their dog. At that time I'd tried many other whistles and thought this one sounded perfect from a distance (loud, but not screeching), so I walked over to the dog handler and asked what whistle it was. You can use a much cheaper whistle (such as the kind that come with a compass and goes on a key chain, which I think has a decent sound) ..but since I use mine quite a bit, it's well worth it to have one that is less annoying to my hearing.

Save your money and buy another whistle.It's very large and claims to save the handlers hearing. When blown there's a vibration that is very annoying to my ears.A child's toy whistle provides better responses from my dogs....

I bought this to walk a 4-lb. Yorkie; a 12-lb. Daschund; & a 14-lb. Poodle. I put the Yorkie in the middle since she is the smallest. The start of our walk seems normal; however, after about ten minutes into our walk, the dogs have changed their positions and tied themselves tight into a criss-cross on this 3-way coupler and it looks like the dogs don't know how to walk comfortably. I have to undo the twist of the nylon and position the dogs constantly so they can enjoy their walk. It was the first and last time I used the 3-way coupler. It got tiring to untangle the twist constantly so the dogs can walk normally.

These work so well when you have more than one dog. We had two dogs and had the double leash and when we got a new puppy we didn't know if we would need to walk one dog seperately, but then I found the triplle one, which work great! It keeps them all together and we still have one free hand.

I use a disability scooter to walk my dogs. I have a bluetick coonhound, a yellow lab mix, a schipperke mix, and a boston terrier. The boston terrier is easy and can be leashed on my right wrist, where I control the scooter. The other 3 (2 of which are over 60 pounds) go on this triple leash in my left hand. The sensitivity on the collar is not reliable or effective. It is difficult to tell if the shock/vibrate has activated, especially while the dog is moving. I assumed it was functioning and activating upon barking every time because it was always on the highest sensitivity level (on level 7 of 7) and fully charged. The prongs and box were placed properly on her neck. Though, my dog continued to bark, which led me to believe the vibrate/shock function was weak. Two days ago, my dog barked while wearing the collar. To my surprise and confirmation, it activated for the first time. She was violently shocked and screamed bloody murder. I've never seen a dog scream. She kept screaming and it kept shocking. My dog and I were both injured as I was trying to remove the shocking collar while she was flailing, running around and screaming. My dog is a lovable, gentle rescued pit bull. I have extreme guilt putting this unreliable collar on her to control her occasional bark. I will absolutely never use this again because the sensitivity is not reliable at all, thus you are unaware when it is activated or how responsive your dog is until it randomly activates. Nor will I ever try to train a dog with a shock device ever again. I will deal with her occasional barking than torture her with such a worthless, unreliable training collar.

For now I recommend this item as a good value leash for large dogs.

GREAT DANE DVD! Includes Dog & Puppy Training Video

I was very disappointed with this video! The monotone dialogue of Josh was okay... but talking about a Great Dane aging and showing the same little puppy just didn't hit home for me. Where are all the Great Danes!? When you talk about a fawn colored dane, show one! When you talk about all the things a dane can do... show it! Looking at the same little puppy trotting around is a poor example of such a fantastic species. "Everything you need to know" ... not quite.

The training tips at the end were helpful, specific and valuable.

This video was a total waste of money. While the Great Dane puppy was cute, the video did not even have photos much less actual adult great dane dogs to give a prospective owner a look at how large they are.

The information was also vague at best and inaccurate at worst. As a Great Dane owner and part of Great Dane rescue, I can tell you that Dane's need special food because of their sensitive immune and digestive systems. This video implies that they do not eat more than other large dogs and that males and females are the same size. This is totally incorrect. Males can actually get up to 180lbs--not the 120lb max the video implies. These are great dogs but people need to understand how large they get, how much they eat, the care and special health concerns such as bloat that need to be watched for. Videos like this one that just show the precious puppy mislead people. It's unfortunate because ultimately, it's the dog who suffers. There are too many of these beautiful animals dumped in shelters or worseon the side of the road because people don't understand what caring for an animal this size entails. This video would have been a total waste at $15 and at $24 it was a complete rip off!!!

They make some good points: Don't feed any dog chocolate or onions,as they are toxins to Dogs. My own experience and professionals agree that Great Danes are "sensitive". If you scold them or show you are not happy with them they are very childlike (sensitive). My Great Dane "Lucky" was quite intelligent, loyal and yet despite her size and strength was a "gentle Giant". I always preferred Beagles of purebred dogs, but my Great Dane changes all that. They point out Danes are good candidates for obedience training (they Learn quickly). My Great Dane love to chew, so I gave her the roasted pig ears which are more digestible than rawhide junk. Good video for a new Dog Owner. They eat twice a day, but are not gluttons whatsoever.For walking you need need a "choke" collar or the dog will be walking you. Great Dog the Great Dane!

We are a dog rescue and currently house 21 dogs of all sizes. You may be sure they create a lot of poop to scoop. We have tried out almost all the pooper scoopers on th market and find this one to be ideal for use in the yard, kennels, and even our pygmy goat shelter!

While these are a little heavier than most the ability to change handle lengths on both the pan and scoop make them easier to handle. If the equipment is left in the yard by mistake the lack of wood keeps the dogs from thinking this is a chew toy. The metal handles also should last longer and not have the breakage problem we had with other types.

We highly recommend these scoopers especially to anyone with a multipet household.

This item makes much play of the metal pan and the aluminium handle. Both are true, but what they do NOT tell you is that the telescoping handles depend on a crappy little black plastic collar at the join. Mine is already cracked, after just on a month's VERY light use (I'm in Maine, the Southern NJ bit is way out of date, we've had snow cover most of that time!) and as a result, the handle has no rigidity.

If they had just invested a few cents extra in the production, and put some kind of bolt fastener through the handle, it would be a good buy. As it is, this item, in my view, is a piece of exactly the same material as it's meant to be picking up.

I'll continue to use it I just have to throw away their aluminium handle (and no doubt the other one, in due course) and buy a broom handle from the local hardware store, fit those and cut them to length. WHY, though? WHY cheapen a decent piece of kit with a crappy little plastic part? It makes no sense whatsoever, not to me, at any rate.

Bottom line buy this product if you wish (probably all alternatives are the same) but expect to have to replace the handle due to that plastic collar cracking within months, if not weeks.

heavy duty , and large capacity . we have 3 dogs and alot of waste , this works great and hold alot of waste. the only downfall is that the scoop is heavy , it is hard for my wife to handle due to the weight.
