This is an awesome treat bag, very well made. The material is light weight but looks quite durable. The design of the fabric is super cute and I love the colors. There are three ways to wear this bag. In addition to the standard clip there is a velcro strap that you could wrap through a belt loop and a waist belt if you would like to just wear it like a fanny pack. Inside the zippered pocket there is a clasp to attach important things like your keys. The zippered pocket is roomy enough for keys and id, probably not much else. The top closes flat with a VERY strong magnet. This won't keep your treats from getting wet if it's really coming down or prevent the smaller pieces from spilling out should you drop the bag, but it is so smooth that you won't get your hand stuck going in and out of the bag or getting the treats caught up like those with the drawstring closure. I think my favorite thing is that it lays nearly flat. When I go running I put the treat bag inside of my running pants and I'm sure I look goofy with this big lump on my side, this one will be barely noticeable unless I pack it with as many treats as my dog hopes I will. Oh, I highly recommend this one!

For the price, this is an absolutely FANTASTIC treat pouch! I had been using a Rapid Rewards pouch when it was destroyed by a dog who was CLEARLY starving enough to pull the bag that had the pouch inside off a hook on the wall and chew a hole in the pouch to get the crumbs inside.

I didn't feel comfortable spending the money for another rapid rewards at that moment so I went searching for an alternative. One of my absolutely favorite features of the Rapid Rewards is the magnetic closure and wanted to see if a smaller/less feature-full pouch existed that still had a magnetic closure.

The OllyDog pouch is a great pouch and one I suggest to my students all the time after having used it for a few months. The magnetic closure is strong and even the sneakiest pups struggle to get in when I'm working with them (and may be kneeling on the floor with the pouch on my hip in easy access). Even though the magnet is strong, it's also super easy to open and close so I can have rapid access to treats. The small zippered pouch is perfect for a few clickers, keys, and can even be used for a second type of treat of a different value. The clip on the back is super strong and I love that it came with a belt (I don't tend to use it because I move the pouch around so much).

This is the pouch that I choose to use when I take my own dogs to training classes more often than not. Although, I have moved back to typically using a Rapid Rewards pouch when I'm teaching classes, coaching private lessons or working on behavior modification that needs multiple levels of rewards or ability to hold food tubes and other odds-n-ends..

The only complaint I have is that the magnetic closure is strong enough that I've had a few "oops" spills when I leaned up against a car and pulled away quickly. The pouch got stuck to the car and when I pulled away it pulled off the car and off my hip simultaneously (opening up on the process) and then fell to the ground. But those issues are rare and now that I know about it, i am more careful!

The latest dog training relies totally on positive reinforcement. This requires treats. This bag is just the right size and opens/closes easily so the treats stay put when I run with my pup. I think I will be able to run it though the washing machine, too.

UltraSmart In-Ground Pet Fencing

The use of these fencing systems can be an emotionally charged topic. If you're like me, you've already tried several options to contain your dog and resorted to this for his/her safety. I wanted to write a review and share my experience for those of you who are trying to decide (like I was for months). In short, I do recommend this system.

I have two miniature Dachshunds who weigh 11lbs. and 14lbs. They are young but the elder of the two began to run and the other followed. They were certain to be hit by a car.

I chose the ultrasmart system because it is the smallest collar on the market that is rechargeable. So far, it's been three months and they haven't needed a charge.

Installation; It was easy. The wire only needs to be burried between 1 and 3 inches. I needed to bury about 750 feet of wire. I had an electric edger but discovered the secret after about 75 feet. For $30 I rented a gas powered edger. I ran the edger in one direction to slice the ground and pull the edger back through the same cut cleaning it out. Using a wooden paint stick, I burried the remaning 675 feet in two hours. Also, I used a power drill to twist the wire for those areas where you want the signal to be cancelled so the dogs can run through. Don't get me wrong, this installation is an all day project but the gas edger made the hard part easy.

Training; This product has you install the flags for the dogs to visualize the boundary and you start off with plastic contacts in the collar so they will not get a correction, just an audible tone. The dogs both picked up on the tone and I was able to teach the retreat pattern pretty well. We did this for the recommended amount of time when we changed plastic contacts with the real ones. I put the collar on the sensitive inside of my arm and walked through the boundary so I could feel the correction myself before putting it on the dogs. Startling Yes, Painful No. I would describe it as an electric pulse that you may get during a physical therapy session.

Now for the hard and controversial part. Your dog will get a correction. It will frighten them and no matter how well they know the retreat pattern, it goes out the window. KEEP THE DOG ON THE LEAD so you can control the situation. Both my dogs yiped and jumped, I had to pull them back into the safe zone. This is where I began to question my decision to use this product (but not to worry, in the end this was the best decision since deciding to have the dogs). My dogs where not only aware of the boundary but afraid to even step 3 feet away from the house. What really hurt was I noticed a considerable change in their demeanor. Instead of being playful outside they were cautious. I spent the next week outside playing with them in the safe zone to restore their confidence. It worked.

My system has been installed for three months now. In total, each dog received three corrections each and we went through a short period of timidness. Now, my dogs run free throughout the yard and play. It's awesome. It's exactly what I needed. I do not need the collars on them anymore, they know the boundary. I will use the collars when they will be outside for a long period but I've replaced the metal contacts with the plastic so if they inadvertantly wander they get the audible tone only and they will stay in the yard.

This product has made a huge difference with our family. It has removed a lot of worry, frustration, and stress with our dogs.

Sorry for the long review. I want to get two points across 1) Installation is easy if you spend the $30 and rent a gas edger. 2) The training will tug at your heart strings when they first start getting corrections. Not only when they get corrected, but their demeanor afterwards. But persevere they do get comfortable with the boundaries are soon back to themselves playing, but not running away :)

Wow, this unit really is smart. Or is it my dog that's smart? By following the training process advised by the innotek DVD and written instructions, everything went according to claims. Several of my neighbors installed this and it seemed to work very well for them, so I was convinced this would work for me. Sure enough, 2 weeks later, the dog will not cross the boundary for other dogs or people. Awesome! by the way, she's a 7 month old 50 lb Labradoodle.

We purchased Innotek ULTRASMART IN GROUND PET FENCING, back in May, we have two mixed breed sisters. We were so tired of tying them up! Whenever the door opened they would dart out the door. They were found across a busy Highway, more than once. When they killed two of our neighbors chickens we decided to try this product. Our two sister dogs weigh 50 and 70 lbs.

My Husband and Son installed 5 acres of this system in one day, we had to buy extra wire. We followed the instructions in the training video to a tee. When we let them loose one at a time, there was no problem, two at a time, the first time, the larger sister went through as we could tell by the way she was yelping, it worked. She never went through it again. The smaller sister got through a bit and we called her back.

It has been 7 months, no escapes! The collars are still holding their charge and I have not recharged them in 3 months, they are still blinking green. My advice, do not over charge the collars. Would recommend this system to anyone and have.

Overall I am very pleased with this product. It took about six hours to install on a 1/2 acre lot. I used a straight edge shovel. I did not splice the connecting wires to the loop as indicated in the directions, as I had to use additional wire, and needed to use one of the waterproof splices for that purpose. I simply made sure I had enough wire to reach the unit inside the house, and then I cut a slit into a wooden wedge and secured it in the ground approximately three inches at the point of the loop before twisting the wire with the drill as directed. This seemed to make more sense anyway, rather than cutting and splicing unnecessarily.

The training process went fairly quickly, as my Vizsla soon understood the boundaries. I did have an issue with the collar stretching a bit, which resulted in no shock being delivered when he ran after a robin in the next yard. Fortunately I saw this happen, and after tracking him down, I tightened the collar, widened the field, and set the level to medium. He does not venture near the boundary now. The collar has loosened again, so I would recommend checking the fit each time you put it on. The collar issue is why it doesn't get five stars.

We put this in about six years ago after getting a crazy $2,300 quote from a local company! I put this in myself with a little help from my wife and it took a full day for my 1/2 acre backyard. We followed the training instructions and our labs now stay in our yard. If there is a squirrel or another dog going past, they still charge at the target but stop dead at the line. It scared the heck out of my neighbors the first few times.

I had a problem with one of the three collars a few months ago, but it was promptly replaced. I was outside the warranty so they charged me $30 which was fair.

Cloud Star's Tricky Trainers are bite-sized, palatable, chewable treats that are approximately 0.5 inches big. They come in three main flavors: cheddar, liver, and salmon. I sampled (well, JP, my dog, sampled) two flavors: cheddar and liver. These treats were perfect sized for putting into a Kong treat dispenser, and were generally palatable (JP finds them much more palatable then dry treats). I found the Tricky Trainers surprisingly more "dry" than most pocket-sized treats, however. In other words, they don't seem to be oily to touch, aren't excessively moist, and have a high anti-squish (i.e., firm) factor. This is beneficial if you're using them as true training treats to reward your dog (i.e., storing them in your pocket). Their con: I found the cheddar smell to be repulsive it has a really strong smell, so if you're cheese shy, avoid. Cheddar is the 5th ingredient (remember, ingredients are listed in descending order of predominance (from most to least). For the other two flavors, chicken liver and salmon are listed first. The other con: the number of calories per treat isn't listed, so we don't know exactly how "low fat" or "low calorie" they truly are. The final con: if you have a super picky puppy that you are trying to train (and are using these as food motivation rewards), these may not work as well as small pieces of hot dog or pieces of freeze-dried liver treats. When it comes to puppy training, finding a treat that your dog can't resist is imperative to get them to train correctly!

These products are listed as wheat and corn free, which is good if your dog has these specific food allergies. That said, if your dog doesn't have these specific allergies, not a big deal. The good news: all ingredients are natural, made in the USA, and the products contain no artificial favors or colors. Overall, a pretty good training treat!

These are great for training. Small enough to fit a bunch in your hand and they don't crumble apart very easy. They smell like brggin strips, so they're good distraction versus a dry, crunchy treat.

We recently purchased a maltipoo puppy and decided to try clicker training her using the cheddar flavored Tricky Trainers as treats. Even though they are relatively small treats to begin with, I can easily cut them into fourths which is a good thing because our dog LOVES these treats. She will do anything for them. In a matter of days we had taught her several tricks. Every time I get the clicker and these treats out, she follows me around waiting for me to start with her training. My husband and I just moved into our new house in October. The dog next door barked every morning at 6 am and other times throughout the day. My neighbors are good people going through a health crisis, and we did not want to complain to them. I saw this device online, and I noticed a lot of the other bark free devices had mixed reviews. But what attracted me to this one, in addition to the price, was that it was hard wired, and I would not have to worry about batteries running out. We were going pretty crazy with the early morning barking. The dog could bark for hours on end for no apparent reason. We tested the Bark Free inside. You can set the tone so that humans can hear it to make sure it is working. Then I mimicked a dog bark. And the device turned on. It stayed on for a few seconds after my bark ceased. The test button on top of the device is an easy way to see if it is working and always beeps at human hearing range. There is also a light that indicates that it is on. Next, we attached the device right outside of our garage door, under the cover of the roof overhang and ran the cord through the door. (Best to place the Bark Free under cover, as the cover they provide is just a piece of plastic.) We placed the Bark Free an easy 25 feet from where the dog barks most of the time. (This Bark Free device has a 25 foot range, so if the barking dog is further away, you may want to get another device) The dog barked at us while we were setting it up. Then came time to plug it in. My husband plugged it in while I waited outside. The minute it was plugged in, the dog barked once, and then immediately ran inside the pet door, and didn't come out for the rest of the day. I set the device on the least sensitive setting, since I was worried about other noises setting it off. It works well at this setting. Since then, the dog occasionally barks, but the barks are short, and not very annoying, not like the prolonged barking of before. I have slept well since this device was installed. It is well worth the price. I assume that, just like humans, not all dogs hear the same, and some might not be affected by the high pitched tone. However, this dog was, and harmony has been restored.

The ultrasonic blast does annoy dogs and stop the barking; however, the microphone does not pick up the barking and activate the sound = a product less useful than a hand held one would be. The only time those yapping mutts stop ius if manually activate the device. I read good reviews and in retrospect figure they were written by the manufactuer. DON'T BUY THIS1

This product had no affect on my lab, even when mounted directly next to him. He didn't even blink and kept on barking. We ended up bying a static bark collar that worked great.

This does not stop my dog from barking. I have it outside in her dog run pointed at the street where she always stands to bark and it does not stop her. I am going to keep it and try different locations maybe that will help

I have a big lab. She responds well to these pinch type or gripping collars. This is a very good quality collar. My dog responds well to it. She is very aware that the collar is on her. Smaller pinch collars tend not to make an impression.

I don't see the need for the weight added by the quick release as these colars should not be tight on the dog. It looks like it will last forever, but it is so heavy that it hangs below her neck, when I would prefer the clasp and leash ring to stay at the back of her neck. (the picture of the one I purchased was not accurate. It did not show the release clip. Perhaps it is a picture of an older version) I always just slip it over her head rather than mess with the release. I also feel that I need to take it off of her when I am not walking her because it seems too much for her to lug around. It is probably for the best, though as it is safer for the dog.

Arrive in time, work perfect, cannot ask for better quality or better services, it is very good quality collar & all the dogs responds great to it, I think it will last forever this is the perfect collar for any dog, these collars are great and they work no pulling or tugging and it doesn't hurt the dogs,

This collar is suited for large hairy breeds, best if bought with nylon strap cover to reduce chain noise. Use it for my American Bulldog and walking him is now very manageable, I walk three dogs at the same time, and use the prong collar on my bulldog and bullterrier and its been a breeze walking the lot! Einstein BarkLess No Bark E-Collar

My Boston Terrier is an avid barker and we've found that bark collars curb this pastime, but most are too large and bulky for me to feel comfortable using on a regular basis. It's also rare to find one that has a tone 'warning' prior to correction without spending a lot of money. I loved the fact that this had that tone, many correction options, excellent price, small size and made in the USA to boot. I bought one to try (lesson learned) before committing to buying one for all three of my dogs, and was impressed as soon as I opened the package. This unit is very well made, and instructions are clear. No counting beeps, or looking for certain lights to go on to figure out the mode you want, just turn a dial. The dial is clearly marked, and though it takes some effort to turn (it won't turn on it's own) if you have fingernails of any sort it's easy to do so. My husband who has none uses tweezers or whatever is handy. Same for turning it off.

The unit itself is small, which I love since my guys have thick fleshy necks and a larger unit is most uncomfortable for them, and the quick release nylon collar (pinch lock) is a welcome change from the usual buckled 'plastic' that is provided with most lower cost units. Easy on, easy off but secure.

I did have an issue with the collar on one of my dogs (the one I bought the collar for initially). His bark is more of a throaty one without a lot of volume (unless of course you're listening to it!) and the collar wasn't 'reading' it as a bark, (no issue with my other girl) so I used the contact us form on their website. I heard back from the president of the company the same day and the issue was resolved far beyond my expectations. I am going to purchase two more collars for my other two dogs and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality product from a company that aims to please!

OUT! Dog Training Pads with Moisture Lock

I bought two of 50 packs and was very disappointed. They aren't the same quilted pads OUT distributes from Target. They weren't quilted and the urine ran off and leaked before it absorbed. I called OUT at 1-800-448-8552 and they confirmed they make two differnt grades of pads with the exact same name the only difference is the better quilted ones have a handle at the top of the package. Until Amazon sells this version saving $5 from Amazon over Target isn't worth it if you use that much in paper towels cleaning up the leaks.

The weather is sometimes bad here so I trained my Yorkie to use a litter box. I lined the pan with these pads and they seem to work well. Not as much tracking. The urine odor is there, but not nearly as bad as it has been with other pads. Much better absorption. I will be buying these again.

Last year I bought a package of Out pads that came with an additional 10 pads free. The quality was excellent. The plastic was quilted and the padding was even and absorbant. With my most recent purchase the paddding is clumpy and uneven, they are considerably smaller and the plastic is of poor quality. I will never buy this product again.

PetSafe Lickety Stik

Since neither of my 2 dogs can write about this new Lickety Stik, I will do my best.

A new idea for treats is always welcomed. We had 3 flavors of Stiks, Bacon, Chicken and Liver. We tried all three on both Sundae and Casey. Sundae licked all three and seemed to like them all. Casey, however, wouldn't try any of the three, just turning his head in apparent disgust (lol). Having had dogs my whole life, you never can tell what a dog will like or dislike. I didn't give this 5 stars, because of some functional reasons, not because Casey didn't even try it. First, the lick ball is exactly like a deodorant ball. As a matter of fact, the container reminds me of an Arrid Rollerball Deodorant bottle exactly. It doesn't move freely by just licking, you have to gently squeeze the bottle for the liquid to be available to the dog. If you squeeze too hard, it drips onto the floor. Other than that, it seems to be enjoyable. It is supposed to be healthy, but I had to use a magnifying glass to read the rather small label.

Update July/September 2012: Sad to say both my beautiful puppies in this video have passed on. They were both 12 years old.

I am a veterinarian with 7 years experience, and I have 3 Great Danes. I am always looking for safe, effective, fun, and innovative new pet products. I saw the video for this product, and definitely agree that carrying a pocketful of crumbling treats isn't much fun for training/rewards, so decided to give it a try. All 3 of my girls tried to bite the bottle at first (and I think most dogs will), but within a few seconds, all of them figured it out, and were licking away very happily, each taking their turn sitting down for me. I also recently used it to help keep them standing still while my 8 year old daughter gave them baths outside with the hose on a nice warm day....much less mess than doing it in the tub inside! It was also handy when we went for a short hike at a local park a while back, as I am training the 2 younger Danes to wear backpacks (that's a whole other story!). Even if the dogs jump in the river wearing their backpacks and get them soaked, their treats won't get soggy. The only thing I would like to see is using a liquid treat that's maybe a bit healthier for them...the ingredient list on the Lickety Stik looks like a lot of processed stuff. It does have a bit of an odor, too, but I didn't find it that strong or offensive like some of the other people here did. And I think it's the odor that really draws the dogs to come check it out...otherwise, why would they want to just lick a plastic roller ball?

Also, I think it would be nice to have a bottle that is just a little bit larger for the large/giant breeds like mine...but this does work well regardless. Finally, I think it would be great to have a refillable bottle, so there would be less waste...500 licks goes fast when you're training 3 big dogs!

Oh, and yes, I will re-order this, and do recommend it.

It's been several weeks of using it and there is still a ton of licking left, definitely getting my moneys worth out of this treat.

Another thing that has been nice is the ability to keep this in my pocket without making a mess. So going for a walk with it has been nice (and a great way to keep his attention when there are other not well behaved dogs around).

Well the puppy dog has spoken... he loves Lickety Stik!

When we first presented it to him he was a bit unsure and tried to bite the stick which was kind of cute but he quickly realized he had to lick it.

Now every time the Lickety Stik comes out as a reward or to teach him something, he just can't wait to lick the bejesus out of it.

Not only does the dog love it and responds really well to it, it's made in the USA!

Izzy, our mini schnauzer, is very food motivated. Schnauzers have a tendency to get chunky though, so rewarding her with food every time she does a trick is a balancing act between giving her something she likes but not having her snack with treats all day.

At 1 calorie per 10 licks, along with a fun interactive way to give her the treat, the lickety safe is fun and healthy. She had no trouble at all figuring out how to lick the deodorant like ball. This would also be a nice travel treat in the car because it closes up and you don't need to get treat on your fingers to give it to the dog.

I really like the two levels of bells on this product. After a month, my dog is finally starting to figure it out. She was originally very uncertain about the noise and afraid to ring them. It took about a week for her to get over that. So far, so good though. No accidents since she made the connection between the bells and "Let's go potty."

We used these during a rough potty training patch when our puppy stopped giving clear signals and we had some accidents. He took to the bells immediately, it was amazing. Every time we thought he needed to go out, we'd hit the bells with his paw or kinda have him nose them while we picked him up. He started using them himself within 2-3 days. Unfortunately after several weeks (during which potty training improved substantially) he started to use them when he was bored and just wanted to go sniff around. We tried to discourage it by only giving him a very brief time outside if the bells were rung, but I found I was still taking them down almost every day due to "abuse". We retired them for good a couple weeks ago now that he's reliably trained and he discovered he can just bark at the back door if we're not nearby!

Short answer these worked well for us during potty training but are too loud and too tempting a toy for our pup now that he's trained. I'd still recommend for anyone having potty training trouble (or even just to make it easier on anyone).

My only comment on this design is that the bells are noisy, and of course jingle whenever you use the door, no matter if it's to take the dog out or not. If I were to go through this again I might get a bell mounted near the door, not on it.

My small puppy learned to ring this bell in just 1 week. I rang it with his paw right before taking him out every time and he just starting doing it himself. He was a small 6 lb puppy, now is 13 lbs, still uses the bell. Love that he can use this to communicate with me.

I have a hard 11 month old American Bulldog Puppy (95lbs) and he had a few trouble spots in his obedience (running out in the street, chasing other animals/dogs, poor recall). After 1 month of consistent training, there is a serious improvement. He recalls flawlessly, no longer running after cars, chasing animals... and his focus and attention to me has been a complete 180 from before working with the collar.

The range has not been tested outside of 200yards, but out to that it has been perfect. The power levels are more than sufficient to correct the dog (even the 95lb brute I have). The instruction manual and DVD are excellent training for the master/owner of the dog. Excellent product!

The collar works great and the company includes a lot of valuble informaiton explaining the proper use of the collar. I would recomend this collar to anyone seeking a similar product.

I was skeptical about getting an E-collar but I was willing to take a chance. I have a springer spaniel that is very active with his dad (me). We go out on my families' land a lot and are always outdoors. My little guy would allow his sniffing nose to get himself up to 75 yds away from me with me yelling "Here" "Come" and whistling my certain whistle that he "should" know always means COME...well needless to say sometimes it would take a lot to get him to come and I would become very frantic in trying to find him...he is my best friend and I love my little buddy a lot and I never want to lose him or hurt him with any type of shock---I actually tried the collar shock on myself to feel the effects---I have not had to set the device above 2---number 1 you cannot feel at all hardly...number 2 setting you can definitely feel and it does feel like a static shock and would get my attention...I mostly wanted it like I said for out in the field and b/c springers are known for jumping up so much "b/c they love everyone" but I have a lot of older people he is around especially my grandmother and my neighbor that he doesn't need to jump up on....I have worked with him a lot on this but he still needed a little help b/c my little pup is hard-headed (when he was a little puppy I picked him out b/c of this---all the little puppies came to me every time except him he would just sit and look like "why are you all running to him"--that's why I picked him out)...I love him and now after a couple of weeks all I really have to use is the toner and when he hears that beep with my command and most of the time the command just works he is up to me pretty quick sitting down and no jumping...so the toner is really all he needs now...if you want to try it, def. do---it will work...at least it did for me (and springers love water so the water proof quality is great too!)

I got this "good boy collar" for my lab to remind him that he needs to have good manners, even when he's not within arms reach. The option for an audible beep works great, and he rarely needs corrections beyond that now. The easily adjustable settings allow for just enough stimulation to remind him to behave, without making him too uncomfortable. Great product!

I ordered another vest from the same vendor. It was a large and was supposed to fit a 34" at the small. When I got it I seen my dog was a 33" so I went to order a medium and it only went to a 34". I needed something in the middle of these two. So I ordered this vest. It is supposed to fit a 32" which would give him enough room to grow. Also this vest does not qualify for my Amazon Prime and the shipping was over 10 each time. What I actually got was the large vest again not a smaller one. Very disappointing. The quality is good though but as for their other products they are very expensive. Not im pressed for the first time customer.

Dogtek Electronic Dog Fence System

When we first got our two dogs, Kaya and Fable, we had no idea that eventually they'd be big enough--and smart enough--to find the smallest point in our already low fence and hop it at will! One day Fable stayed out all night and that's when I came running to amazon and found this product.

I won't lie, digging the hole took work: measuring, tapping the ground (we only went 1/2 inch deep, and have had no problems), placing flags, etc. If you are tired of dealing with your dogs running around--spend the day or so to make this happen.

The best thing about this product is how adjustable everything is: for example, at first we wanted to have a huge warning zone so the dogs wouldn't get shocked. Turns out, that wasn't needed at all. We turned it to practically the smallest zone because once our dogs hear the beeping--they know they're too close to the flag (which is when the buzz happens).

It was hard seeing the dogs get shocked, and initially our basenji reacted badly. She would refuse to go outside and once she peed in the house (and pooped on the deck).

But we were patient. It does take about 3-4 days of practicing. First, you need to put your dog on a leash and walk them around. The first day we only allowed them to get close enough to hear the beeps. No shocks. We would say no and pull them back.

the second day we allowed them to get shocked and that's when our basenji began to fear the yard (our mastiff was completely trained and simply avoided the areas where she saw flags. maybe the smarter the dog the quicker they learn).

To fix our basenji, I spent a day or two putting her on a leash and walking her to the potty (kind of like when we trained her). This way she knew her bathroom area was safe. Then We'd sit in the middle of the yard and I'd talk to her while she was on the leash trying to pull away. After two days of this she was fine.

It should also be noted that putting the fence within 3 feet of a metal fence causes it not to work.

This product has made our family so free from stress. Before we had tie the dogs up and go out and get them....now we just check their collars, make sure we see the green light, and open the door! My husband and I no longer fight about needing the $4000 for a new fence, we have one that works perfectly!

I definitely would recommend this product to owners of medium sized dogs like mine who will leave your yard the moment they get a chance. I could talk for days about this product...but I'll stop and just say that if i could give it 10 stars I would!

The best part is that our dogs NEVER get shocked! They know from only two times that the beep equals a shock...so they run around the yard, sleep when they come and and aren't chained to a horrible stick in the dirt.

Had some initial issues and contacted company. Everything was resolved beyond my expectation. Good company to work with...and great product.

After reading different reviews and tried to call all the brands of dog fence I decided to go with Dogtek, they pretty much were the only one that answer the phone right away and they knew what they were talking about.

I can't recommend this fence enough, it worked perfectly on my 2 dogs, and they are now contained in our yard.

I just have some advice for the installation, you can rent or buy an edger at Lowes, that will save you some time during the installation to bury the wire. To cancel the signal from the transmitter to the beginning of the yard you will need to twist the wire, you can do it by hand but it will take forever, I inserted 2 wire in an electric drill and pushed the button, took 1 minute!

Everything else was straight forward. You can adjust the power level on the collar but I did not had to touch that, I just stayed with factory settings.

We purchased this fence for our adopted terrier mix who recently figured out how to jump a 5 foot wall. We were worried she would run to a busy street not far from our house. The fence is in and, after a bit of a learning curve, our girl has stopped roaming the neighborhood. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the warning signal wasn't quick enough for a sprinting dog. Other than that, it is a great product.

This electric fence is AMAZING. Very simple to install, a no brainer, didn't take long at all. Once everything was set up we brought our Lab and Rottweiler out and walked them around the perimeter without letting them get shocked, I pulled them away as soon as their collar started beeping, the second time around I allowed their collars to beep and did not pull them away, they received their shock and ran away from it. At most they were shocked about 3 times and they were able to associate the beeping with "I better step back or I'm going to get bit", they have not left the yard since. This system was very affordable and I was able to purchase an extra collar. The batteries that the collars take are very inexpensive and you can pick them up at Walmart. I would definitely recommend this system to any pet owner looking for an alternative to fencing. I cannot say how happy I am just to open the door and let them run!
