We Bought this because our German Shepard / husky puppy was out of control, no matter what we did to train her, this was a last resort. This has been the best purchase ever, since starting her on a shock collar in May 2012, she has only been shocked 3x, the vibrate button scares her enough. We used to NOT be able to open the front door without her knocking over who ever was there to bolt and after being shocked 1x she doesnt do it anymore. The product was easy enough to understand, i wish the remote was a little smaller but all in all, very wise investment.

I've had this product for over a year. It works about half the time. Pretty difficult when you're trying to train your dog. I've changed the battery in the remote and made sure that the device is charged. I also make sure that it's fit snug on my dog to make sure there is contact. I've tried to look up troubleshooting for this product, but all you get is Amazon's website to sale it. You can't even call a "Plexon" company to ask for troubleshooting assistance. Not very consumer friendly, if you ask me.

My dog responds right away to the lowest shock setting (1) so I have never felt the need to use a higher voltage. Our dog also knows that the vibration setting is a warning and will stop doing whatever she is doing as soon as we use that setting. We have only had to shock our dog about 8 times in almost a year.

I bought this hoping to use the vibrate button followed by the low shock button for training purposes (eventually just the vibration would be enough to stop the behavior). Unfortunately the vibration button had no effect what so ever on my Am Staff terrier, she didn't even seem to feel it, while the lowest shock setting terrorized her and sent her screaming. If you truly want to train your dog using a shock collar opt for a more expensive one, as the other reviews I've read seem to indicate that you will get what you pay for (I did.)

We love, love, love our collar. I "wrestled" with the idea of purchasing this item because we did not want to harm our five month old GSD's spirit. But I realized that this dog was harming my spirit and my husband's sanity. She was constantly chasing and scaring our poor little Shih-Tzu, our cats and was teething on me. We were totally unable to stop her poor behavior. Believe me, we did everything that the books said to do and what our puppy class teacher told us to do. We could not stand the chaos any longer. We now have a calm and happy dog which in turn causes us to be happier and bite free. We can now totally enjoy our beautiful and calm dog. I was so excited I had found these batteries for my dog's shock collar for cheap! And then they arrived and they are NOT the same batteries as the ones in the picture. Don't make the mistake I did and trust the picture!

The negative review is on the listing as opposed to the product itself, which is tied to the wrong product.

I am apparently not the first one to be fooled. You type RFA-67 and this is the third item that comes up. It is difficult to tell the difference in the picture of this Amazon listing. These are just basic off-the shelf button batteries (appear just like CR2032 which are generally $1 or less each), and are NOT compatible with RFA-67. I have asked Amazon to modify this listing so it does not mislead others.

Absorbs well. Actually, out of all the pads listed, I have had the best luck with this one. I have two small dogs, paper trained. I put these down on the bathroom floor, and they far surpass any other item I have used to date, and I have tried them all!

The pads work great. I have3 small dogs and they all use the pads while I am at work if they can not wait until I get home. They are big enough but since I have 3 dogs I spread out 3 of them and it is more than enough. These potty pads are absorbant and bigger than many of the other pads I have tried.

And yes, I'm talking about the "new & improved" version.

I love Simple Solutions' line of cleaning products, especially hardwood floor formula. Their pads have an extremely positive rating, with reviewers saying they are the "best" they've found, after trying many different brands. I, too, had been trying different brands, looking for the fabled "best", so that got my attention. I expected these pads to be good, even great. Potentially the best.

Wow, are these terrible. I can't comprehend how anyone could think these are even tolerable! I have 2 dogs under 20 pounds. One has congestive heart failure and is on a diuretic among her meds. I put the pads out mostly for her ocassional Frantically Urgent times, when she can't even wait to ask to be let out, or if we're not home, or asleep. The other dog just uses the pads for funsies, I guess, but I know she sometimes uses them. But they are both house trained and go out on a regular schedule. So these little dogs should not be a challenge for wee-wee pads that are supposedly the best. Oh but do these pads fail.

1) They're leaky. The plastic backing is outrageously flimsy. It has wide borders that aren't absorbent, so if the dog doesn't hit the bullseye but goes off to the side, game over. Even if they have good aim, the plastic is so flimsy it is easily overwhelmed and just starts letting it through.

Side note: Sometimes my older dog thinks she just needs to get her front feet on the pad. She's wrong, of course. Anybody else know dogs that do that?

2) They're not very absorbent. It takes a single use to destroy these things. I've watched my elderly dog go. Poor girl has to do a balancing act or stand in her urine because the pad puddles outwards. A good pad will absorb so well and so fast that the "affected area" will be small. Not these pads. They just aren't absorbent! They instantly become soggy messes.

3) They can't hold liquid. Once a dog goes, a good pad will absorb the liquid and become dry to the touch. These do not. They remain soggy. The absorbent material turns into a disgusting wet "gel" that my dogs have actually slipped on, and of course they track urine. My girls have to stand in their puddle when they go! Dogs don't like that.

4) They stink. A good pad will absorb odors. Not these. I can tell when my dog has used her Super Urgent Panic Pad that's in our bedroom (for when she can't even make it to the "official" wee-wee pad area by the back door where she prefers to go.) The whole room stinks of urine immediately. when we come home from being away for several hours, and missed a regularly sceduled outside time, the *whole house* stinks because the girls have used the pads.

5) They are just BAD! A truly awesome pad is essentially a diaper or maxi pad in floor mat form. Absorbent, dry to the touch, controls odor, doesn't leak. That is "the best". These Simple Solution pads are actually "the worst" and we've tried about ten different kinds, including OUT! Dog Training Pads with Moisture Lock, 50-Count, Four Paws Wee Wee Housebreaking Pads 150/Pkg, Natures Miracle Quick Results Training Pads, 80 Count, Super-Absorbent Polymer PUPPY PADS Dog Wee Wee Housebreaking Disposable Training Pads, by Downtown Pet Supply 100 Count, Hartz Antibacterial Training Pads for Large Dogs, 30 Pads, and Arm & Hammer Ultra Absorbent Puppy Pads 50 count. And more.

The TRUE "BEST" we've found are Iris Neat 'n Dry Floor Protection and Training Pet Pads, Regular, 100 Count.. They may be small, but they are amazing. Everything a GOOD pad should be! Everything Simple Solutions isn't.

Thank goodness we found Iris when we did, too. I was getting really darn tired of disgusting inferior wee wee pads. Other truly *good* pads include Four Paws Wee Wee Housebreaking Pads 150/Pkgand Hartz Antibacterial Training Pads for Large Dogs, 30 Pads, which are bigger than Iris Regular Size but not *quite* as good otherwise. They are admirable, respectable runners up to Iris's championship. :)

This is okay to teach my dog with i never use shock on her viberate works fine. the only thing I see wrong with this is you cant turn it off at collar.

When the product works, it works fine. But there is no on/off switch on the collar part, so the batteries don't last very long. Also you have to keep taking it apart to remove the batteries then put them back in to re-activate the connection from the hand held control to the collar. Does not keep a signal connection. So you DON'T KNOW when it will work or not.

My dog does respect it enough now that all she needs to see is the hand held control, and she behaves.

If I would have known it was coming from China, I would have not ordered it.

UPDATE:

I have been in contact with the seller several times since I wrote the review. They have been very accommodating to my issue. After they realized there was nothing they could do about my situation, they decided to give me a complete refund. And do to the expense of return postage, they said just keep the merchandise and they would return my funds.

As for the product, I am not impressed, but as for the support and communications between them and their customers, I give them 5 stars. If they had something else I was interested in, I would not hesitate purchasing from them.

I used this thing for 3 weeks. My routine: My dog wore the collar for 2 hours per day. I used the shock function maybe 2 or 3 times (total, over 3 weeks) then used only vibrate -maybe 2 times per day. After our walk, I then I took the receiver collar off her and removed the battery, as per the instructions to prolong battery life.

Even with this VERY limited use, the receiver battery (a special 6V type) went dead in a week -5 to 7 days. The unit shipped with 2 batteries, but when I went shopping for a replacement, I found they cost $10 each at my local discount store. And the Duracell I bought didn't last any longer than the off-brand batteries that came with the collar.

Also, note that the shock level buttons are backwards of what most people would assume: "1" is the highest shock, and "6" is the lowest. I.e., smaller number = bigger shock. The directions do say this, but it's counter-intuitive -and the first time I gave my 80-lb dog a "1", she jumped about two feet in the air. (I apologized profusely to her for not reading the directions.)

Now, the good news is that my dog did respond to the training, and learned quickly. But I need something that doesn't cost me $10 per week. I'm returning this one.

The 2 batteries that came with this collar died after a week. Battery for collar starts at $3.00 on line , can't find any in stores. Collar battery lasted 3 days. After spending a week searching for new batteries, I finally get them and the collar doesn't work. I strongly recommend not buying this collar.

I use the GP-001 Dog Training Collars for my 2 labs. They were all charged up and ready to go right out of the box. I only had to replace the 9V battery in the transmitter but I had no problem with that.

This kit breaks down dog training into little steps. The DVD was very helpful because you watch real and untrained dogs, receiving their first lesson. Karen explaines what she doing and why, all through the lessons. You don't have to know everything about training. You don't even have to know a lot about it. You just need to know one small step at a time.

You don't have to carry the book around either. The 'Click 10 easy steps' cards on the key chain provide easy reminders of what to do and how to do it. Each step you practice and teach your dog gets easier as you go. Your dog learns and you become more proficient using the clicker, with each step you teach. Before you know it, you are completely trained in using the clicker. My dog remembered the lessons, even when I wasn't consistant with training times. He did learn faster when he was hungry. I used cut up cheese sticks.

I do recommend having several clickers. I found I was often without one, because it was on the shelf or in another coat pocket. They can easily be purchased at the pet shop and are very inexpensive.

Quality of dvd was lacking in quality and substance. I am convinced that clicker training is excellant training. I am disappointed in the training provided on the dvd.

This is a good kit for starting. I found that the treats were good but it is a very small package. I wish there were two clickers because I found that I needed one in the house and one for a coat pocket. Between my horses, chickens and dogs I now have half a dozen so they are handy. The video is a little amateur, but one of the valuable lessons that I learned from it was at first it feels like chaos, but as soon as the animal "catches on" it all becomes so much easier. It comes so easy that it almost feels like luck, but not so. Clicker training is based on firm scientific principles and is a humane, proven (and I feel, vastly superior) dog training method. Easy Walk Harness - Black Small

Yes we've tried the Gentle Leader, and Sporn Halters, and a zillion other things. This halter is the greatest. With many dogs in tow, my 2 small, alpha dogs were contantly pulling me and the other dogs in a rendition of some sled dog movie they must have caught on TV. After the intial figuring out of how to put it on, there was an immediate difference in how my dogs walk after the first walk. So now I don't have to juggle a bunch of clickers, treats, and other what-nots, my dogs just walk like nice dogs now. Shew. Now I can finally concentrate on regular obedience training.

The best way to use a harness with a D-Ring on the chest is to attach the leash to the d-ring on the harness and also the d-ring on the dogs collar. I had a harness similar and that was the recomended use by a trainer, forgot the brand name. When attached in this manner if the dog slips out of the harness he still is attached at the collar. You might think attaching it to the collar is defeating the purpose of the harness but it does not. The harness keeps the collar d-ring on the underside of the dogs neck and allows you better control over the dog. Without the harness the dogs collar and leash rotates to the back of his head and when the dog pulls you have little control. So if the front strap of the harness is loose enough give this method a try and see how it works out for you.

I had to return 2 of these harnesses (and got dinged a 20% restocking fee from this seller on top of the cost of shipping both ways). This harness does not work with all dogs. Both my dogs fit the "girth measurement" but the loop where the leash attaches drags on the ground. My two dogs were able to walk out of the thing and kept getting their front legs tangled up. Also there is one dimension where the harness can't be adjusted so you might find, as I did, that the girth measurement is correct, but it still is too big for your dog. The description should have warned the owners of "short" dogs that this would not be a good choice.

If you want to try this out on your dog, buy it from a dealer who will refund ALL your money other than the shipping costs. It's too risky otherwise.

Prompt delivery and good service. I have found that my dog can slip out of the harness by standing up on her hind legs, but she is a very small dog so maybe I should have gotten the smaller size. I only gave this item 4 stars because I just used it for the first time yesterday. I also have a small dog who thinks he is a sled dog. Upon using the harness for the first time yesterday I immediately saw a 50% improvement while on our walk. However, I do need to adjust the harness a bit more. Steel Coated Dog Collar in Purple

I bought 3 of these Choker Chains in the 26" Length in Pink, Purple & Blue. The Choker Chains are Very Sturdy & thick, BUT the Color Coating on them could stand some Improvement! When I Received the Chains in the mail, All 3 Chains had Paint chipped off of them & missing! Disappointing!!! The Color of the chains are Awesome....but the technique used in bonding the paint to the metal chains could stand to be Improved!! Other than the Color chipping off of these chains, they're a good Sturdy Choker. Just be forewarned....the paint WILL Chip off of these!

I initially ordered this one size smaller and the quality was great. Reordered 1 size larger and a total of 5 of this type in different sizes and colors. Paint quality was not great. On 3 of them the paint must not have dried before they put it in the plastic hangers, as those three had very sharp paint edges sticking up. The colors are all beautiful (I ordered electric blue, candy apple red, bubble gum pink, purple, and lime green.) What a shame there isn't better quality control on this product. Incidently, as the length goes up; the the links are larger and much heavier. The 20 inch collar I bought is actually quite heavy a little too heavy, I think, for the gentler breeds

I have a hard 11 month old American Bulldog Puppy (95lbs) and he had a few trouble spots in his obedience (running out in the street, chasing other animals/dogs, poor recall). After 1 month of consistent training, there is a serious improvement. He recalls flawlessly, no longer running after cars, chasing animals... and his focus and attention to me has been a complete 180 from before working with the collar.

The range has not been tested outside of 200yards, but out to that it has been perfect. The power levels are more than sufficient to correct the dog (even the 95lb brute I have). The instruction manual and DVD are excellent training for the master/owner of the dog. Excellent product!

The collar works great and the company includes a lot of valuble informaiton explaining the proper use of the collar. I would recomend this collar to anyone seeking a similar product.

I was skeptical about getting an E-collar but I was willing to take a chance. I have a springer spaniel that is very active with his dad (me). We go out on my families' land a lot and are always outdoors. My little guy would allow his sniffing nose to get himself up to 75 yds away from me with me yelling "Here" "Come" and whistling my certain whistle that he "should" know always means COME...well needless to say sometimes it would take a lot to get him to come and I would become very frantic in trying to find him...he is my best friend and I love my little buddy a lot and I never want to lose him or hurt him with any type of shock---I actually tried the collar shock on myself to feel the effects---I have not had to set the device above 2---number 1 you cannot feel at all hardly...number 2 setting you can definitely feel and it does feel like a static shock and would get my attention...I mostly wanted it like I said for out in the field and b/c springers are known for jumping up so much "b/c they love everyone" but I have a lot of older people he is around especially my grandmother and my neighbor that he doesn't need to jump up on....I have worked with him a lot on this but he still needed a little help b/c my little pup is hard-headed (when he was a little puppy I picked him out b/c of this---all the little puppies came to me every time except him he would just sit and look like "why are you all running to him"--that's why I picked him out)...I love him and now after a couple of weeks all I really have to use is the toner and when he hears that beep with my command and most of the time the command just works he is up to me pretty quick sitting down and no jumping...so the toner is really all he needs now...if you want to try it, def. do---it will work...at least it did for me (and springers love water so the water proof quality is great too!)

I got this "good boy collar" for my lab to remind him that he needs to have good manners, even when he's not within arms reach. The option for an audible beep works great, and he rarely needs corrections beyond that now. The easily adjustable settings allow for just enough stimulation to remind him to behave, without making him too uncomfortable. Great product!

I was using Wee Wee Pads for a while but was tired of paying $40+ a box. I gave these Clean Go Pads a shot and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of them.

I paid about half what I was paying and got the same quality pads as the Four Paws Wee Wee Pads. I've re-ordered these pads 3 times now and they are awesome.

Never had any leaks or spills with these.

I purchased Clean Go pads 10 mos ago for my 1st puppy and needed more for my 2nd puppy. I ordered what I thought were the same pads. Rec'd. them yesterday and they are NOT the same pads. They are Puppy VALUE Pads by Clean Go. I opened the box and put one out and the first thing my puppy did was grab it and started to chew on it...I thought it strange. This stuff is the best stain remover ever, and it smells great, at an affordable price. I use this stuff for carpets, clothes, couches and chairs. It took out an old coffee stain, it had been there (covered by a chair) for a year, and this stuff took it out of the carpet.

the product worked great however it was a little pricey which i didn't realize until i saw the flyer that was included showing the same product at Walmart for a third of the price. I will buy it there next time. I definitely recommend this product and will buy again.
