My 2yr old Cockapoo spends quite a bit of time scratching. The vet said if theres no hair missing and no sores or blood, they don't worry about it. Still, it annoys me and I know it annoys her.

I gave her one of these treats (because of the salmon oil) 2 evenings ago and the next morning there was FAR less scratching !! Another last night and NO scratching this morning. Probably a gigantic coincidence but its never happened before!

I will report back if the scratching comes back but so far I'm putting it in the miracle class. I may start takeing them myself just on general principals.

This is my dogs favorite treat and it's healthy. The 1st ingredient listed is fish which I think makes it's tastier and dogs get omega 3 from it which helps keep their skin and coat healthy. This makes a great treat for dogs with allergies also. My dog chose this treat over Halo and Zukes which are other popular healthy brands and a bit pricy.

I have a one year old Vizsla who has always been a picky eater and would turn his nose up to everything after getting these treats I sprinkled them over his food he eats all of his food and licks the bowl! I have two small dogs and they love their early evening walks. The one thing that bothered with with ordinary collars in the past is that whenever I need to discipline my girls, I felt guilt tugging at the collars thus stressing their necks. This halter prevents all of that and more. The loops that go around their forelegs have this padding to it to prevent any sort of scratching or chaffing on your dog's skin. The material itself is built soundly, it's no flimsy collar.

Now, my two babies love these things and they look forward to always wearing it when I take it out of the drawer.

This product didn't help a bit. It is supposed to train the dog not to pull, well my dog pulled so hard that he broke through the clip on my dog chain without it fazing him one bit. I will admit that the clip on my dog chain was old but it took him almost a minute of jumping against this harness, with no hesitation due to discomfort, for him to break through. Just to be really clear, my dog is not some giant German Shepherd, he's an 15 pound Shihtzu. Needless to say, I will not be buying from this company again.

Mine arrived today, and after fully charging the units, the receiver/collar unit will not go "on," unless the charger is plugged into it...i.e. it doesn't work if not attached to the charger, deeming it worthless. Apparently, the company has gone out of business as when phoning their contact phone number, you get a different company. Also, their website only refers you to other "sponsored," sites. In other words, their "one year warranty," is bogus!!!

Has our country become so corrupt that we cheat each other so willfully?

I loved this idea so much that when I saw it, I invested about $10K into it. The product was apparently doing well and about to show up in all the major pet stores, and an extension of this great technology was also going to be used by the military for tracking their front line troops in action. I kept stopping by various pet stores to get some feedback, but they never did get the product. Next, I see that this small startup company has sponsored the winning chuckwagon at the Calgary Stampede for $210,000.00, outbidding all the major oil companies for this privilege, and getting the total VIP treatment for all their executives and entourage at the biggest party on Earth. Finally, I see this dude walking down the sidewalk in a yellow silk jacket with the HearNow logo on it, it was the main scammer Gerard Besaw's son Jarret Besaw, he had been promoted to be the Australian Sales Manager. Although they hadn't yet sold ten units in their own town, it was time to become global. Gotta think big! I suspect he used my $10K to fly there first class and stay in a five star accomodation long enough to see the sites in that country. I'm embarrassed to have been conned by these grifters. They were fined $100,000 by the Alberta Securities Commission but pocketed the rest of their $6.6 million other than their Stampede party costs. I think there should be more severe consequences for such blatant fraud. They continue to walk freely among us, living in Calgary, but using heir offshore bank accounts to vacation. Sheisters!

I love the idea of this product. But I can't get it to work. Both the collar and hand radio recharge and come with plugs. But after charging the two collars I bought overnight, neither had power the next day when unplugged. And even when they are plugged in, I cannot get the radio to communicate to the collar. The instructions explain how to set the radio and collar on the same channels, but even after following the instructions, they don't work.

At least the two radios that came with the two collars communicate with each other.

I didn't believe it until I got it. Basically it does not work. Don't buy it . There is a warranty but It will cost more and more hassle. So I raised my white flag.

This is quite useless as a pet correction gadget. Dogs will ignore the voice coming from the collar after a while, as you are not standing there for the dog to associate the voice with someone.

I bought this at a dollar store for two bucks. As I expected, the battery in the collar unit was completely dead, it only functions when plugged in or its internal PL402035 3.7v polymer battery replaced. So if your dog gets lost, the thing is quite useless. Talking out while plugged in is no good, it fills the channel with the sound of the power mains.

However, the other half of this novelty is that it seems to be using GMRS / FRS network. It picked up a couple of chatters while I tried it in the Long Beach Marina area. Both transmitters were too weak to make any understandable response back to them one guy told me to throw the piece of rubbish away and get a REAL CB from a pawn shop!

It's still useful for short-distance communications around the house like adjusting the antenna, or checking the fuse box. However, when plugged in, it adds a static hiss to outgoing communications. There are other GMRS gadget pairs that are cheaper.

It was a good patent idea on paper, however, it was poorly executed. If it was properly executed with durable/replaceable collar batteries, it would have been too expensive or too bulky for the dog.

This kit breaks down dog training into little steps. The DVD was very helpful because you watch real and untrained dogs, receiving their first lesson. Karen explaines what she doing and why, all through the lessons. You don't have to know everything about training. You don't even have to know a lot about it. You just need to know one small step at a time.

You don't have to carry the book around either. The 'Click 10 easy steps' cards on the key chain provide easy reminders of what to do and how to do it. Each step you practice and teach your dog gets easier as you go. Your dog learns and you become more proficient using the clicker, with each step you teach. Before you know it, you are completely trained in using the clicker. My dog remembered the lessons, even when I wasn't consistant with training times. He did learn faster when he was hungry. I used cut up cheese sticks.

I do recommend having several clickers. I found I was often without one, because it was on the shelf or in another coat pocket. They can easily be purchased at the pet shop and are very inexpensive.

Quality of dvd was lacking in quality and substance. I am convinced that clicker training is excellant training. I am disappointed in the training provided on the dvd.

This is a good kit for starting. I found that the treats were good but it is a very small package. I wish there were two clickers because I found that I needed one in the house and one for a coat pocket. Between my horses, chickens and dogs I now have half a dozen so they are handy. The video is a little amateur, but one of the valuable lessons that I learned from it was at first it feels like chaos, but as soon as the animal "catches on" it all becomes so much easier. It comes so easy that it almost feels like luck, but not so. Clicker training is based on firm scientific principles and is a humane, proven (and I feel, vastly superior) dog training method. Read the book, watch the video, play with the tricks and make your dog your partner! Do it now! Click!! good dog.

Potty Patch - As Seen on TV, Large

Alright, I want to say from the get go that our dog did not want to use this. Not because he was scared of it or anything like that, it is just because he will not potty inside the house unless he has something like a bladder infection. We got this because he hurt his leg and could not go down our stairs by himself, so we wanted him to go potty inside the house until his leg has healed. It was not a hit, he was very interested in it, and a few times acted like me *might* go, but he knew he was inside the house and would not go. He held his business going on 25 hours before we caved and took him outside in fear of him wrecking his kidneys. (What can we say, he has a will and bladder of steel)

But I wanted to mention a few things I noticed that might help people decide whether to buy this or not:

First off the "large" potty patch has two of the small trays that are poorly connected by a strip of the same plastic that fits into slots, it does not cover the whole area that a dog could wee, thus in my opinion making the thing useless and urine can get under it anyways. Then it has one large strip of "grass" on top to make it look like one big item. So to be really safe you would want to put pee pads under the middle to catch run-off. Then the cleaning process is not "quick and easy",(I put some of our dog's urine on it to try to get him to use it so I do have experience cleaning it now) you have to take of the nasty grass and put it *somewhere* so you can grab the trays, not spill urine, and take it to your bathtub and scrub... everyday. The grass would need to be cleaned too or it would reek in 24hours. Let it dry and put it back, repeat tomorrow. Does not sound as easy as just replacing pee pads as they are used to me.

My solution:

Okay, this may be more expensive but I see the best of both worlds here. Buy only the replacement patch so you have the "grassy" feel and it will add weight. Buy pee pads and put them under the grass patch (Weight to hold down the pads), this way the urine that goes through the patch goes directly to the pee pads, not an annoying tray to clean. As far as cleaning the patch, buy nature's miracle or some other enzyme based cleaner, spray everyday and wipe. Then you would probably need to actually "deep clean" it once a week or so. This is what I did after the first day of trying with my dog, so cleanup before I just returned the whole darn thing was super easy. So if your dog will use a potty patch, it is a great idea, though for easy clean up nothing beats pee pads. Pick up, throw away, replace, though buying the fake grass alone to put on top of the pads would be good for easy training to go outside or to give them a more "defined" area that they can go in the house. Either way I don't recommend buying the whole set-up.

We have a 7 year old female Golden Retriever and 12 year old male old Shiba Inu. We recently moved into a townhouse with a small cement patio (boy they miss their grassy backyard!) and while we take them for potty walks in the morning and evening we wanted a backup plan (and for our male Shiba to stop peeing on the legs of our patio furniture!) so we bought the potty patch. At first neither dog would use it, even with verbal encouragement. So, I retrieved a leaf that our female peed on during a walk and wiped it all over the patch and left it there. Later, when they had to go out, we took them to the patio instead of taking them for a walk. I walked the female to the potty patch, pointed out the leaf, she sniffed it, and I said "go potty" (which we trained her to respond to outdoors on walks and praised her with "good potty" as well) she climbed on board and peed! Much praise! The male promptly smelled it and peed exactly where she peed by god, that dog has to mark EVERYWHERE!!! But that was the magic trick they both consistently use the patch now without fail. Well, every once in a while the male stands on the patch and pees off the edge a little bit...but it's a patio that we hose down anyway so no biggie.

So, my suggestion to anyone with difficulty getting their dog to use the patch is to scent it with the dog's urine.

My only complaint about this product is the awful urine stench, especially on a warm sunny day. Ugh. I'm researching ways to better clean and remove the stink right now, but that part is kind of a pain in the butt. But overall, it's worth it.

I was very excited when I saw this advertised on TV. I looked it up online and was happy to find out that my local Petco carried them in the store. I live on the top floor of an apartment and have a Chihuahua. I've never been able to take him out as regularly as I'd like, so he has been puppy pad trained for years. I thought this would be a nice alternative to the costly puppy pads and also be a little more eco-friendly. As soon as I set it up, my dog was drawn to it. He crawled on top, sniffed around, but did not go. No worries there. I figured it would take a little re-training. Sadly, on this first attempt when he started to hop off of it, the grass top flung from underneath him and scared him. He then urinated on the floor next to it. I knew immediately that this product was going to take more than just a little re-training. It was going to take some additional "engineering" by me to make it work. I had already paid top dollar for the large pad and felt it should be better quality for the price I paid. I packed the product back up as neatly as I found it and returned it the same day to Petco. They completely understood my issues with the product and gave me a refund. This product honestly does have true potential for apartment dwellers and pet owners who just aren't able to get their dog outside as much as they'd like. The price does sound steep, but if it had worked it could have paid for itself in 6 months because I wouldn't be going through puppy pads anymore. Unfortunately, I felt it was very cheaply made and not completely thought out.

We just got a 9 week old Puppy (Chester Mateo) ... We want to potty train him to go indoor and outdoor... We looked into this product and other similar to it... This seemed the best bet... I realized the "large" version was 2 small attached in the middle bc of the reviews... So i was prepares for that... I got these because I have an elderly cat with both Diabetes and Inflammatory Bowel Disease and I was glad to find a ' novel protein' low-carb treat for him. He was glad too -he loves them. My two kittens can be quite picky with treats, but these things bring out their inner wild ocelot. One bats it around all over the house like half-dead prey for twenty minutes, while the littler one sits in the corner gnawing on it and snarling to break it down and keep it away from other predators. These small chewy treats have a magical power with my Shepherd, whose regular food is also salmon. Even though they're pretty small, it only takes one to convince him he absolutely wants to do whatever I'm asking him to do more persuasively than any other treat I've tried. At this point all I have to do is crinkle the bag a bit to convince him to pay attention. They have a strong salmon smell, but not too unpleasant.

SportDOG Rechargeable NoBark 10R Bark Control Collar

After four anonymous complaints from the neighbors which brought the police to our house we finally decided to do something about it. I researched the heck out of these things particularly after reading some of the horror stories in the reviews of the other collars. Short story: the dogs are finally behaving themselves.

These collars have 3 different ways to program them. One, the collar increases the shock level beginning from the lowest level when your dog starts barking and then escalates eight levels until the dog stops. It then remembers the level necessary to stop the barking and commences at this same level the next time your dog begins barking. This is the default program, but my wife and I found it too punitive.

The second program begins at the lowest level and escalates until your dog stops but reverts to the lowest level next time your dog starts barking. This is the program we use.

The third program gives him the same shock each and every time he barks. My wife and I preferred what we considered the most humane program, number 2, and it works great. The collar requires a sound and a vibration to buzz the dog which theoretically reduces false discharges.

I directly compared this to the Tritonics and the Remington, both of which worked fine. The Sportdog was rechargeable which is what ultimately sold us and it had more different ways of programming the collar for the ultimate in flexibility. The Tritonics only shocks at one level. The Remington included programs 2 and three but no escalating shock found in Sportdog's program 1. Since we don't use program 1 that would not have been a problem. The other reason we went with the Sportdog rather than the Remington is that the Remington, though theoretically just as good, is new to the market and I could find no reliable user reviews.

For our dogs, you must remember to put the collar on or the darn mutts will begin barking again. My wife wanted our dogs to continue barking while in the house for the additional security and that has been no problem.

Your dog will take some time getting used to the collar and may behave a bit neurotically until they figure out just what the heck is going on. To reduce the level of neurosis, use program 2 which gives them a chance to learn and is less punitive.

I have 3 dachshunds who bark at the least little thing. I live in a Townhouse so my neighbors are right next to me. When I let them out in the yard they immediately start barking non stop. I have tried spray bottles, other bark collars, shake a can with coins and nothing stopped my 3. Since I did not want to buy 3 at once I decided to try out one collar. I thought it was too big at first for my dachshunds that weigh 16, 13, 11 respectively.But once I got the right fitting it stayed snug on them. The strap is very long and strudy. There is so much extra strap that it curls up because it is made of a heavy vinyl material. Might cut the excess off. I tried it on the worst of the 3 Gracie. Well to my surprise after fitting it on her and using the temperment setting one bark and I saw she was startled but that was the last bark she made while the collar was on her. Two hours went by and not a peep. I think she has to get use to it because she is a little skiddish now.Does not want to go outside without me with her but I am sure after a while she will be fine. Next I tried it on Zoe. I had the same results. No barking while collar was on her. I was truly amazed. The one with the collar on did not bark while the other 2 did. I am now going to buy a second one and hope I will not need a third. Thank you Sportdog for making such a good NO Bark Collar.

I bought this collar for a Siberian Husky and it has worked very well. Huskies have thick hair (which was not an issue; the collar worked as designed) and howl rather than bark. This collar took my huskies separation anxiety howling down to a very manageable level.

My husky quickly figured out the decibel level that wouldn't trigger the collar, a whine/wimper level, and kept relatively quiet. This kept my neighbors quite happy!

One improvement I would like to see in this collar: Show me when and how much correction was used in my absence. I really do wonder if she is getting constant corrections throughout or makes a bit of noise at the beginning and quiets down. Or if she is not being corrected at all anymore.

I tested the collar on myself before putting it on my dog. This was terrifying because I had to actually put it on my neck and bark to trigger the vibration and noise sensors. This collar (on levels 1-4) did not hurt me at all. Know the feeling you get when you are in a shopping mall and touch the escalator arm rail and get a quick static electricity zap? That is exactly what this collar feels like. It startled me, but, it quickly turned into laughter at what I was doing.

I researched for days to make sure i purchased the best no bark collar. After all, who wants to spend 50.00 on something that may not work like you want? This collar is worth every penny! I have a barky 2 year old german shepherd. I put this collar on her and one zap is all it took! she no longer barks at everything and anything! I like how this collar is rechargeable and has an indicator light for low batterys. the tree bark control settings are nice, so you can choose which one may be right for your dog. my only complaint is it has a very long bit of collar that hangs off. we had to use something to tie that down so my newfie doesnt see it as something fun to chew on. I purchased a petsafe 50.00 collar in the past and was not happy with it. This one works!

We have a ~9 pound dachshund named Sara, and she would continuously bark at every little sound (or lack thereof). This was a major problem because we live in an apartment complex, and I work from home. It's impossible to get things done with a dog barking all the time. Scolding did nothing to deter her barking, and it seemed to be getting worse... so we bought this collar. I almost got a cheaper collar, but then I discovered that you had to buy special (and expensive) batteries for it that didn't last long. It also only had vibration detection, so there were reviews of false-positives. This collar is excellent though, with a rechargeable battery and both sound and vibration detection. Our dog hasn't had any false shocks.

I first tried it on myself, on the lowest setting. It's just a little static shock... not even as bad as someone shuffling their feet in the winter and touching you. This thing is pretty bulky for such a small dog though. She didn't like the feel of wearing it at first, but she adjusted quickly. The first couple of times Sara barked with the collar on, she jumped back, and looked all over the place trying to figure out where it came from. But she got the idea pretty fast, and two days in, the excessive barking is gone. She still barks on occasion when there is a distinct knock on the door, but usually only 1 or 2 barks. And of course, we take the collar off at night, or when we're just playing... so she doesn't get the wrong idea. Just follow the owner's manual, and it should work great.

As the title described, it was nice and fun while it lasted. My dog is only about 20lbs. but he's an extreme chewer. He finds a way to destroy anything no matter how tough it is. This lasted all of a few days before the hands, feet and tip of the head were gone. I eventually had to cut the latex part away and throw it out just leaving the rope. It kind of doesn't seem worth it, but then again neither do any of the toys I buy my dog. Nothing seems to last for him.

I was very skeptical regarding the efficacy of this product but am delighted to report my skepticism was misplaced. All I can say is WOW.

Nature's Miracle, Simple Solution all of those products that come in big. heavy gallon jugs, cost a fortune (especially when you consider what you're cleaning up doesn't it just bug the daylights out of you to spend upwards of $20 $30 a gallon just to clean up urine?), and take up much-needed storage space are replaced by this one product that weighs ounces. Twelve two-packs, enough for 6 gallons of product, take up less space than a single gallon jug.

We have hard surfaces and five animals, three cats and one dog. One dog is 16yrs old and a little senile; another a puppy. Between the two of them alone there's plenty of cleanup to do.

I have worked in dog rescue for many years and have cared for nine family dogs of our own. I have rescue dogs that aren't housetrained and in some cases they have repeatedly urinated on carpet until I can get them trained. I had a large stain that I worked on for a week with a variety of supposedly wonder products but had no luck removing it completely. Read about Fizzion in a newsletter I receive and figured I didn't have anything to lose....inexpensive, pet safe, works when everything else fails. Bingo! How I love products that do what they promise. Old stains, new stains, makes no difference. Gone in a flash with no gross perfume or chemical smell. I'm hooked. Will never be without this. The best!

Update to my original review above: I've found that this product tends to lose its efficacy when it sits around for awhile so unless you have major messes quite frequently I'd suggest cutting the tablet in half and using only 8 oz. of water. Still works great and I have no complaints as to its ability to remove stains.

Theres nothing I can add to the effectiveness of Fizzion for pet cleanup, especially cats that's been said. I'm hooked for life.

What I found is that there's so much more you can use Fizzion for. Around the toilet, especially with boys and men, there's always this over-spray and misses. I now use Fizzion to clean that up spraying the walls and all around. I also use it to clean the toilet in between bleaching. I ran out of counter cleaner one day after cleaning up after the pets and found it works great. I found the ants, the bain my kitchen, appears to not be on the counter so I guess Fizzion gets rid of the odors that attracts them. I've now stopped buying the expensive cleaner for counters. I have one in my bathroom now and one in the kitchen.

I've been wondering how it works as a spray to get rid of room odors. The smell is pleasant and I think it would work. Going to try that next. I'm finding there's no limit for this product!

Anyone use it for something else??
