Despite the previous review, this ball CANNOT get stuck on a dogs tongue (there was a recall of a different toy a while back, but it WAS NOT this one.) The Amaze-A-Ball is great! It has half-walls inside of it so the dog really has to work to get the treats over and between the sections and out the other end of the ball. It is very sturdy also. It won't stand up to a dog trying to shred it, but my dogs are more interested in getting the treats out (and trying to rip the holes bigger) but there's been no damage to this in almost a year! I'm buying another one.

Almost 4 years later and this ball is still in perfect condition. I've used it with over a dozen clients' dogs and it is still in one piece. I recommend these all the time! The only downside is that they are "easy" for dogs who are already very accustomed to food dispensing toys. I like to use these for dogs new to the food-toys world, as they will succeed and therefor keep trying more quickly than a more difficult toy like a Tug a Jug or Buster Cube. These are still one of my favorites!!

the ball is soft enough for my Boston Terrier to pick up and carry. The hole is too large for dog "food" for which I had ordered it. She loves the ball and likes playing with it. It is tough for she chews on it.

I purchased one of these years ago and my dogs LOVE it! I wanted another and was pleased to see them available on Amazon. They are durable-good for large dogs. I have Chesapeakes and Saint Bernards-this one has lasted through two Chessies and now belongs to my three Saint Bernard puppies and they LOVE it! It bounces if you wanted to toss it (empty, of course!) or just allow your dog to roll it around on the floor or in a crate. I will fill it and give it to my older Chessie as a comfort toy in his crate during thunderstorms.

Other treat balls that are made of two halves scare me-if your dog gets it apart-it could be splintered or broken. This one is easy to fill and takes treats from really small up to large dog kibble. The only small issue is not a design flaw as much as a puppy "quirk", but sometimes my puppies drop it in their large water dish and if the inside gets wet, you have to wait a day or two for it to really dry out before filling it. Another reason for me to get another one!

This ball is the best! My dog absolutely loves it. I have bought other treat dispenser toys and my dog has become a pro at getting treats out in a matter of seconds, which defeats the purpose of working for it and giving the dog mental stimulation. This ball with the maze inside solves the problem by making it more of a challenge to get the treats out and can keep an active dog busy for a while, which is nice.

I lost our previous ball and couldn't find a replacement in the stores nearby anywhere and my dog and I really missed it, we had this ball for about 2 years and it held up well (Boston Terrier) so I will be purchasing a couple here, so glad I found it!

I have seen the video of the dog that got it's tongue stuck in the ball and had to have his tongue removed. It was a terrible story, very sad, this poor dog couldn't eat or drink on it's own. THIS IS NOT THAT BALL! The ball from the story had only 1 hole. Never buy a ball that has only one hole, this creates a suction. Any toy must have 2 holes, opposite sides so air can flow through and no suction is created.

The one critical review of this is ridiculous--no way a dog could get their tongue stuck!

This is a great treat ball, soft rubber so it rolls and bumps and silently as possible indoors. Even the largest size is fine for a puppy unless you have a toy or teacup size.

I put the treats in through the large hole and then roll the ball side to side to ensure they all get to the bottom. I feed my pup in part of his breakfast in this every day.

The maze inside makes sure it takes a bit to get it out, but it is easy enough that he doesn't get frustrated even when he is super hungry.

GREAT toy, easy loading, I like it better than the Omgega treat ball cause the material is softer and thus quieter on the wood floors. Likely not for strong chewers. The Everlasting Fun Ball is better if you have a heavy chewer or want a long lasting treat ball.

I am not saying I don't like this product, it smells very good. Our husky loves them but we also have a Maltese and I bought them for her but they are a little large and also very hard and for some reason I guess I had in my mind they might be a little softer. So just for information only purposes these are about 1" round and very crispy hard treats. So keep that in mind if buying for a tiny dog. I do like the idea of them being ackaged in smaller bags so they stay fresh.

I ordered the pumpkin and banana treats and Fruitables All-Natural Pumpkin & Apple Dog Treat, 1.41oz pouch (Pack of 6) on sale. My shepherd-chow mutt likes them, but then Lulu's never met a treat she didn't like! She doesn't seem to prefer one flavor over the other, and she doesn't go bananas for either flavor like she does for Pro-Treat Beef Liver, Freeze Dried Dog Treats, 21 Ounce or Dogswell Happy Hips for Dogs, Chicken Breast,15-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 3).

I like these treats because they are healthy, natural, and low calorie (important for an older, ahem, "big boned" dog). They even smell great, like people food. I'll probably buy more in the future to alternate with her meaty treats, but I'll buy the larger bags. I wouldn't have bought treats packaged this way if they hadn't been on sale. It's a waste of packaging.

Be aware of the quantity you're ordering! When I ordered, this was offered as a pack of 6. Only one was delivered to me, and when I called Amazon, they kindly rush-shipped the replacement (I only asked for 5, but they said they would send 6) the next day. The next day, I again only received one. I called them again -this time, they wanted me to ship back the treats so they could do an investigation on their warehouse because "something is clearly wrong." Excuse me? You want me to take the time to go to the post office to send back a few bucks worth of dog treats so I can wait for YOU to do an investigation on what's going wrong in YOUR warehouse? Not wise, Amazon -you should have sent me my replacement that I was entitled to, and promptly at that.

Am I allowed to give 3 stars because of the incredible expense of these cookies?

They have good, grain-free ingredients (however, not organic) & my labs love them (& my labs love to eat deer poop, cucumbers ...) And my labs also love Zuke's Supers All Natural Nutritious Soft Superfood Dog Treat, 6-Ounce which have really super healthy ingredients and are grain-free and you get significantly more cookie-quantity for the price. I bought these to put in a treat ball for my puppy. She really likes the Newman's pnut butter snacks and I wanted something different to go with it. She really likes them and they are small enough to use as training treats or to fit in Kongs or other treat toys. Premier Sheepskin Squeeker Dog Toy

I have a 30 lb sheltie who loves to play tug-o-war. She's always running to her toy box to pick up this "fleece" tug toy to let me know she wants to play with me (this and her Coleman "bear rug" toy, her favorite tugs). She hops and tugs and shakes her end of the tug toy to her heart's content. She loves this tug so much that she'll simply hold onto one end while I hold the other end in one hand, and do chores with my free hand. It's like walking her around in the house with a leash, only it's a fleece tug in her mouth.

My dog is not a determined toy destroyer, thankfully. Also, she doesn't play with this toy on her own if I don't play with her.

This toy is long enough that it's actually better for my back, as I can hold onto my end while my knee-high sheltie grabs hold of the other end, and I don't have to bend over (I'm 5'9"). Each end has a squeaker, which still function after two months of play.

I'm glad I bought it! It gets daily play at my house, it's clearly one of my dog's Top Two favorites. I have other Premier toys and am very happy with their longevity and their design.

**UPDATE** I've now had this toy for 3 months, and neither of the squeakers work anymore. They can't be replaced, but I'm still glad I purchased this toy, my dog still loves it even though it doesn't squeak.

**UPDATE #2** I bought a second tug toy, and this one had its long seam come undone within the first day. Manufacturing defect, pleh. My girl and boy shelties still play with the first, older tug toy, it has holes in it that I put kibble in to add renewed interest to the toy.

Good quality alternative to the very similar ones sold in pet stores for a lot more money. On sale, they are a great bargain.

When I found this product I was ecstatic over its cheap price. However, when it arrived, I clicked it about five times and it broke! Now it clicks only sporadically, which, needless to say, is completely useless for clicker training. I ended up buying clickers from Karen Pryor's website. They cost a dollar each, but operate with a button mechanism, which I like a lot better. So far so good with the new clickers.

Missus Olde Hippie, (MOH), was 46 back in 1995 when multiple sclerosis put her in a wheel chair. 1n 2000, she got a Golden pup, as a pet, wondering about the possiblities. By the time he was 2, Rufus was beginning to anticipate her needs, sensing her body language, pressing his body against her hand, saying, "grab hold, I'll help you stand", and so much more. It was training time. I searched and found a simple figure of 8 halter, a padded strap that looped around his neck and his torso. And I picked up a cheap clicker at Petco. He caught on by the third click, and as her MS became Parkinson's Disease, her needs increased rapidly; and Rufus was always ahead of us, asking, how should I handle this new problem, and this new problem. Rufus died on her birthday, 2 years ago; he's in a Pet Semetary, a converted raised bed garden in the back yard. Pushing up the dozens of daisies I planted for him. By this time, the P.D. had confined MOH to a hospital bed in our living room, P.D. meds quit working after several years, so I needed another dog to help me help her. Long story short: The dog rescue network found 2 year old Mister Darcy, Great Pyrenees Mountain Dog, in a shelter in Georgia, and dozens of strangers chipped in to deliver him, 1000 miles away, to his 4th home. An unwanted shelter dog, he was at MOH's bedside 20 minutes after entering our home and he hasn't left MOH since. She is the herd that he was born to watch over, a million years of DNA told him just what to do. And the clicker? He figured that out by day's end. She wears it on a wrist band, and even when he's out back relieving himself, he hears that loud, simply constructed, Petco clicker and comes running. The design reminds me of a child's toy from another age. It's 10 years old now, but still sounds off loud and clear. We've tried the slick, submarine shaped versions, their sound varies from soft to medium, no two are alike, even from the same six pack. I'm thrilled to discover I can replace it, happy to pay the shipping, which is cheaper than the gas required to drive the 60 miles to Petco. Karen Pryor's contributions are beyond words, but she hasn't put her name on a clicker yet that matches the performance and durability of this old relic. MOH now has leukemia, she'll only need a clicker for another year or two, so whatever I order today oughta last her.

Do go to the store to buy this product though. There is a lot of variation in the positive feel of the click and the volume of the sound. I've used a bunch of button clickers and they all are quieter and the spring on the button wears faster than the clicking sheet. don't over complicate this choice, get on of these simple box clickers, they just work the best. love my petco brand one because I got to go into the store and pick the snappiest one. I'm a dog trainer for a local rescue, and was asked to test this product as a means of helping our volunteers walk the dogs that pull so hard they're hurting themselves or the humans. Harnesses are not an option for most shelters due to disease control methods...we mush unfortunately (for now) use the harsh nylon leashes we can bleach multiple times a day. Anyway...after reading instructions and testing this device on almost 50 dogs (we have more but those were our 'pullers') ....let me tell you...there is NO effect on pulling on any of these dogs. Not one. Not after a solid two week attempt. About one third of the dogs do seem to hear the device indicated by a head tilt or ear twitch. But a reduction in pulling? Zilch. Save your money for more effective training aides...or buckle down and do it with positive training alone.

I did not test this device as a training aide for any other commands, as the literature states it could also be used. I tested pulling only.

We have two dogs an 8 month old puppy and a 6 year old. Neither dog responded to the "DOG-e-walk".

This device is supposed to emit an annoying/irritating sound that only dogs can hear. The annoying

sound can then be used to help correct behavior problems. The literature primarily focuses on using

this device when walking a dog to prevent the dog from pulling. But, the literature and manual also

state this thing can be used as a hand-held trainer to correct barking and other bad behavior your

little buddies exhibit.

We had intended to use the hand-held aspect of it to correct some undesirable behavior but obviously,

with the dogs not reacting, that didn't work. I have read other reviews of this product that say it

worked for them re: the leash pulling aspect. I submit it is possible the dog *may* have decreased or

stopped pulling, but it may be for other reasons than the animal hearing some annoying sound. Perhaps

the presence of this thing hanging off their collar upsets/disorients them. Perhaps it does emit a

sound that some dogs can hear and it merely confuses them therefore reducing the leash pulling. I

dunno.

What I do know for sure is our two dogs of different breeds, different ages and sizes, both pure-bred

with no hearing deficiencies did not react to this thing. What are the odds of this happening?

Now I submit one more item for the viewing public: there's a definite "catch 22" here.

You're supposed to fasten this thing between the dog's collar and your leash. Here's a basic problem

I have: if you're a dog lover and your dog is pulling so bad you want to buy this device the first

thing I'd do is buy a harness. The constant pulling and strain the collar induces (on the dog's neck)

is not good for your canine friend. Plus, I have seen some dogs wriggle free of a collar and get loose.

Even if you got a big powerful dog, it can strain/hurt his/her neck. And, if you're already using a

choke chain or similar item, why would you be buying this thing anyway? A harness is safer, won't

put this undue pressure on the neck, and much, much harder (if not impossible) to wriggle out of.

But, the dog-e-walk is not designed to work with a harness, so there lies the rub, my friend. Save

some bucks buy (or check-out from local library) a good dog training book.

So, in the end, the only annoying sound my dawgs (and me) heard was the scratch of the pen writing a check

to my credit card account to pay for this thing that don't work.

In any case, I believe I was rip-e-offed by the DOG-e-walk . Thumbs (and paws) down on this product.

I started out with level one intensity and worked up to the highest level which is number four. My dog still barked and pulled when another dog approached us. So I bought this item and tried it out. My 1 year old husky would cock his head to the side, then go back to whatever he was doing. Even on the highest setting. It was obvious he could hear it, but just didn't care. I will say it appeared to work on my neighbors dog that barked. So maybe each dog is individual. Luckily the pet store took it back. My recommendation is if you want to try it out buy it somewhere you can take it back.

My male malamute (about 1 year old) broke the thing. He's strong. It did give me hope so it was really placebo. It worked at first. He did indeed hear it and did pay attention. That didn't last all that long. Familiarity breeds contempt. Had to keep turning the dial up. Finally the end broke right off. I'm really glad the dog didn't run away. He sure could have.

Don't waste your money on this. All you will get is an expensive dog collar. It doesn't do anything. Not sure if it is broken. Put it together, put it on the dog and hit the button. Nothing. Tried it when the dog was asleep, again, nothing. Plastic and cheap.

When I first opened the box I was oddly irritated that it was wrapped in clear tape that shredded all the design of the box that made it look ugly. But that is totally irrelevant. At first I couldn't figure out why the product wasn't working. The lights were on but no beeping or buzzing. Then I reread the direction and read something about shaking the receiver to engage the product because after inactivity for 5 minutes it shuts off. Anyway after a little shaking it worked perfectly. He paid no mind to it but when it was on his neck he seemed a little more agitated but every time I buzzed it I gave him a treat and he very soon figured out that he would get a treat with a buzz hence why I love it. It's small and for first time use perfect. I even bought rechargeable triple AAA batteries as suggested by other users due to low battery life.

The great thing is that you can also attach it to a regular collar and works just at good.

We were initially very surprised by the results. They were not at all what we thought or what we told the company when we submitted the samples. We sent the samples in with a note stating that our rescue dog was half poodle but asking to know what the other half was. I even bought the designer dog kit because we were so sure she was a poodle mix. I would have bet $100 that the oher half was going to be cocker spaniel. However the results showed no poodle at all, but rather 50% bichon plus 25% Weimaraner. Whoa! After processing the total shock for a day or two, it did sink in. We watched our dog with the idea of a pointer/hunter/tracker in mind and suddenly some of the strange little behaviors of our dog made sense (digging out and tracking small rodents, pointing at birds, easily directed to run in different directions with hand gestures and voice), as well as her occasional stubbornness and stamina and running ability. We looked at photos of bichons and her face is all bichon. Anyway we have concluded that it is accurate. I have to give Wisdom credit for figuring it out despite our having sent in the samples labeled as poodle. I did call the company to speak with a scientist and had a nice conversation with her. They were very open about their methods (they test SNP profiles compared to a databank generated from AKC bloodlines) and they stated that 25% is a strong level of expression and they do believe that this level of inheritance is the level that manifests in behaviors and appearance. I conclude that this was well spent money. I feel like I do understand my dog's tendencies better and it dispelled the misinformation we had been given (and still are given all the time) by well meaning commentators including people who inform me that they are "breeders" (i.e. experts) who insist that she is part poodle. Also when people ask me what kind of dog she is, I now have a specific answer which does seem to delight others. I feel it was a reasonable price for the learning and enjoyment we got out of this interesting test.

The Designer Dog DNA kit revealed aspects of my dog's DNA that I would have never guessed, but afterward it all made sense. For example, my dog has a purple spotted tongue and several people have asked if he has some Chow in him., To my knowledge he has no Chow, but The Designer Dog kit revealed that his Mama was 1/2 Shar Pei which like Chows also have purple tongues and Shar Pei ancestry fits with other aspects of his physical appearance and character.

Potty Patch - As Seen on TV, Large

Alright, I want to say from the get go that our dog did not want to use this. Not because he was scared of it or anything like that, it is just because he will not potty inside the house unless he has something like a bladder infection. We got this because he hurt his leg and could not go down our stairs by himself, so we wanted him to go potty inside the house until his leg has healed. It was not a hit, he was very interested in it, and a few times acted like me *might* go, but he knew he was inside the house and would not go. He held his business going on 25 hours before we caved and took him outside in fear of him wrecking his kidneys. (What can we say, he has a will and bladder of steel)

But I wanted to mention a few things I noticed that might help people decide whether to buy this or not:

First off the "large" potty patch has two of the small trays that are poorly connected by a strip of the same plastic that fits into slots, it does not cover the whole area that a dog could wee, thus in my opinion making the thing useless and urine can get under it anyways. Then it has one large strip of "grass" on top to make it look like one big item. So to be really safe you would want to put pee pads under the middle to catch run-off. Then the cleaning process is not "quick and easy",(I put some of our dog's urine on it to try to get him to use it so I do have experience cleaning it now) you have to take of the nasty grass and put it *somewhere* so you can grab the trays, not spill urine, and take it to your bathtub and scrub... everyday. The grass would need to be cleaned too or it would reek in 24hours. Let it dry and put it back, repeat tomorrow. Does not sound as easy as just replacing pee pads as they are used to me.

My solution:

Okay, this may be more expensive but I see the best of both worlds here. Buy only the replacement patch so you have the "grassy" feel and it will add weight. Buy pee pads and put them under the grass patch (Weight to hold down the pads), this way the urine that goes through the patch goes directly to the pee pads, not an annoying tray to clean. As far as cleaning the patch, buy nature's miracle or some other enzyme based cleaner, spray everyday and wipe. Then you would probably need to actually "deep clean" it once a week or so. This is what I did after the first day of trying with my dog, so cleanup before I just returned the whole darn thing was super easy. So if your dog will use a potty patch, it is a great idea, though for easy clean up nothing beats pee pads. Pick up, throw away, replace, though buying the fake grass alone to put on top of the pads would be good for easy training to go outside or to give them a more "defined" area that they can go in the house. Either way I don't recommend buying the whole set-up.

We have a 7 year old female Golden Retriever and 12 year old male old Shiba Inu. We recently moved into a townhouse with a small cement patio (boy they miss their grassy backyard!) and while we take them for potty walks in the morning and evening we wanted a backup plan (and for our male Shiba to stop peeing on the legs of our patio furniture!) so we bought the potty patch. At first neither dog would use it, even with verbal encouragement. So, I retrieved a leaf that our female peed on during a walk and wiped it all over the patch and left it there. Later, when they had to go out, we took them to the patio instead of taking them for a walk. I walked the female to the potty patch, pointed out the leaf, she sniffed it, and I said "go potty" (which we trained her to respond to outdoors on walks and praised her with "good potty" as well) she climbed on board and peed! Much praise! The male promptly smelled it and peed exactly where she peed by god, that dog has to mark EVERYWHERE!!! But that was the magic trick they both consistently use the patch now without fail. Well, every once in a while the male stands on the patch and pees off the edge a little bit...but it's a patio that we hose down anyway so no biggie.

So, my suggestion to anyone with difficulty getting their dog to use the patch is to scent it with the dog's urine.

My only complaint about this product is the awful urine stench, especially on a warm sunny day. Ugh. I'm researching ways to better clean and remove the stink right now, but that part is kind of a pain in the butt. But overall, it's worth it.

I was very excited when I saw this advertised on TV. I looked it up online and was happy to find out that my local Petco carried them in the store. I live on the top floor of an apartment and have a Chihuahua. I've never been able to take him out as regularly as I'd like, so he has been puppy pad trained for years. I thought this would be a nice alternative to the costly puppy pads and also be a little more eco-friendly. As soon as I set it up, my dog was drawn to it. He crawled on top, sniffed around, but did not go. No worries there. I figured it would take a little re-training. Sadly, on this first attempt when he started to hop off of it, the grass top flung from underneath him and scared him. He then urinated on the floor next to it. I knew immediately that this product was going to take more than just a little re-training. It was going to take some additional "engineering" by me to make it work. I had already paid top dollar for the large pad and felt it should be better quality for the price I paid. I packed the product back up as neatly as I found it and returned it the same day to Petco. They completely understood my issues with the product and gave me a refund. This product honestly does have true potential for apartment dwellers and pet owners who just aren't able to get their dog outside as much as they'd like. The price does sound steep, but if it had worked it could have paid for itself in 6 months because I wouldn't be going through puppy pads anymore. Unfortunately, I felt it was very cheaply made and not completely thought out.

We just got a 9 week old Puppy (Chester Mateo) ... We want to potty train him to go indoor and outdoor... We looked into this product and other similar to it... This seemed the best bet... I realized the "large" version was 2 small attached in the middle bc of the reviews... So i was prepares for that... I also read about the "odor" which mine doesn't seem to have bc we don't smell anything strong or unplesant....

All in all its been 2 weeks now and our puppy already goes to the potty patch by himself.

We are crate training him.... So we put him on the potty patch and goes on command!!! He already grasps the idea bc even if he really doesn't have to "go-go" he'll pee a little bit!!! So at least he tries!!! :)

Looks like the 5 star review is from the manufacturer. I got the product after I had 3 weeks experience with a good quality trainer. Of course, for given price one can not expect a lot, but at least it should be usable. One never know when the transmitter is working and when it is sleeping. In such a situation the training itself is more less not possible. The device has many features, but it looks to me like the quantity is beating the quality. After 1 week of rare usage it stopped to work. Or I can say, it was working within 50 cm distance only. I do not know if it was battery or HW failure. It does not matter, because it either case it is ranking the product as very poor.

Thought I had done my due diligence on this product prior to purchase but boy was I way off the mark. This thing is cheap and useless. It's made entirely of plastic, weighs all but 2 oz. and NEVER works properly. It's like a bad toy. I find I have to manipulate the batteries to sync the receiver with the remote every time I want to use it. And you have to basically dismantle the receiver just to install the batteries. I just purchased another set of batteries for the remote and they are already dead. The batteries for the remote are those small specialty batteries so you have to go to a specialty store like Radio Shack just to buy them, and on top of that they're expensive. There is no troubleshooting option available so if the thing doesn't work as described you're pretty much screwed. I would strongly encourage you to refrain from purchasing this product. There HAS to be a better product out there. Don't waste your money!!

My veterinarian recommended I try this halter in order to control a 70 pound adolescent sheepdog who was next to impossible to walk. While the veterinarian admitted had no experience with the halter, an employee in his office had highly recommended its use. She used to have a husky who was a former sled dog and this product was the only thing that would control her husky. Our Ginnie Mae chased cars, stalked animals and seemed to think she was a sled dog pulling me! Choker collars did little to deter her dangerous behavior. She would tug until she backed out of a regular collar. If she saw a bird my arm was torn out of the socket! On more than one occasion, I ended up mid air and on the ground! Daily walks were dangerous and neither one of the kids could walk her.

Our first walk with the Sporn Halter was amazing. This formerly uncontrollable dog never tugged at the leash--NOT ONCE! The halter completely subdued her behavior. The straps around her front legs are not at all tight so the dog seems completely comfortable. It is easy to fit, easy to get on and off the dog and the dog does not seem to be bothered by the apparatus. The Sporn collar can remain on the dog (with the arm straps detached) but I have found it easier to just leave her regular collar on and leave the sporn halter on the leash. No reason the kids cannot walk her now!

I do not know why this apparatus works but it absolutely does!

The Sporn Halter works well because its design puts a slight pressure on the sensitive pressure points under the dog's leg, more or less the equivilent of a pressure point in your armpit. The dog immediately responds to the discomfort and behaves properly...and stays a happy dog. No pressure on its throat. For the person who below complained that it was complicated to put on, perhaps the first time or two...once solved, it's a simple process. My dog, who was a maniac before the Sporn, sits patiently while I put the collar on and then is off like a rocket but also immediately settles down when I put on his leash. He knows that the Sporn means a fantastic run in the park, it's nice because you can easily put the dog on and off leash the little ring stays nice on the top of their back, easy to find when needed. I'm guessing that perhaps the owner did not have it on properly when she wrote that it did not work. It works like a charm. My groomer told me about it, they use a similar apparatus during the grooming process and the dogs are always under control in her shop, from English sheep dogs to little toy poodles.

Try it, you'll love it. And the neat thing is that big dogs can now be walked by lesser weight people without the worry that they will be pulled half-way across town.

My 5 month old, 74 pound German Shepherd has been to puppy class and failed due to excessive pulling on the lead. It was just too frustrating to take him anywhere because all he did was pull on the lead no matter how strictly I tried to curb that behavior. He's a big boy so this was a huge problem. Despite obedience training, my dog was still difficult to control on walks if there were any distractions so I bought this halter in desperation since no other methods were working.

I just adopt Alaska Malamute couple weeks ago and OMG! she alway want to launch everytime i walked her. i also owned another golden mix and he's never ever pull this hard like her. only 2-4 times after the choke chain he's done w/ pulling and we thought would be the same story as her but it wasn't. It worked well for my Boston Terrier who is sensitive to correction and anxious, didn't want to use shock for corrections, he responds very well to the vibrate collar. All I do is put it on and he instantly behaves or if he doesn't the vibration instantly stops whatever he is doing (mostly misbehaves when other dogs are visiting) He also doesn't know the difference between this collar and the wireless fence collar he has only been shocked 2 or 3 times total when we first got the wireless fence. so I can put this on and he stays away from the back fence which is muddy when wet, which is a bonus, don't have to switch collars.

This is a really cheap piece of crap. The batteries ran dead in 3 days and did not have enough power to even make my dog stop doing anything. The whistle only made a sound on the remote not from the collar so the dog never heard it. The vibrate was not strong enough to even make the dog notice i was trying to correct his actions.

This product is almost like the heart of a smoke detector except instead of detecting smoke it goes off when there's pressure on the mat. You can see the 9V in the video and hear the beep is somewhat similar (but monotone). You can also see it takes a little more pressure to set off on a plush cushion but there's no way a pet could lay on it without it going off.

I've also used ours on a deep picture window sill and it keeps the dog from jumping his front feet on that when neighbors are out (german shepherd likes to keep tabs on everyone!)

One of our dogs isn't terribly scared of the sound but doesn't want to set the mat off. The other dog doesn't want to be anywhere near it. Neither dog wants to lay on the couch with this thing on though so it's effective for both.

We should have bought this ages ago.

We finally have a dog who simply refuses to get off the couch and sheds like crazy. Seeing a review at Amazon for the couch off thing with the shocker saying to save your money and be humane and buy this, we opted for this instead.

Right away, he'd leap off the couch, and now, he doesn't even try to get on it anymore. We just need to remove it before company comes! ;)

I was so frustrated with my bold catnothing deterred him from climbing up on the counters. Once I even found him all curled up in my fruit basket and he just looked at me like, "what..?". I had tried the squirt bottle, the double-stick tape, cookie sheets on the edge(both worked while in place, but makes the counters very inconvenient to use) and even tinfoil (never even phased him) but I didn't want to fork out the money for a CatScram.

I bought the SofaScram on another site which had a special going with a free No Pets Allowed Blanket. This is like a space blanket/tinfoil type material (99 cents at Walmart). As I expected, the No Pets Blanket didn't phase any of my kitties. As the site suggested, I tried associating it with Sofa Scram's obnoxious alarm by hiding the SofaScram underneath the No Pets Blanket. I was proactive in introducing it to them on the counter, on the tableswhere ever I wanted them not to go and now, they avoid the Blanket itself completelyif they even see me coming towards them with it, they clear out in a hurry.

One thing about the SofaScram by itself, when the cat is scrambling to get away, it can get knocked off the counterI was worried about damaging the device. Twice this happened but it's still okay. Very loud, although under the tablecloth it gets muffled a little bit, but it was still annoying enough to make the cat jump offand since its out of sight, the cat will have no idea whether its safe or not and hopefully won't take its chances. It's only been a day, my bold cat is not so bold anymore. But, I do plan to reinforce every once in a while so he won't catch on.

I'm really happy with the SofaScram and relieved that my cats don't like it. Good by itself, but with the space blanket material you can really extend it's effectiveness. If you don't mind shiny stuffit looks better than tinfoilon your counters or table (as a visible deterrent even without the SofaScram in place), you can cut it to size and smooth it down to cling nicely while you continue to use the SofaScram elsewhere.
