I have a 2.5 year old, 10.5 pound Bichon Frise/Coton de Tulear that I have had since she was 3 months old. She never grew out of "barking" phase when I would leave the house, regardless of what I did to acclimate her to my leaving, giving her toys, etc. She would bark 10-15 minutes after I'd leave, then be silent until I came home after work. This was okay when everyone else was out of the house, but not okay now, when my present roommie wakes up at noon for his swing shift and I leave at 7am.

I was hesitant to use a shock collar of any type, as my dog is fairly mellow and fun-loving. She is very sensitive to the slightest stern voice/reaction/anything. She grew up with love and no negative feelings (even when she did bad things). But.. after trying three different 'ultrasonic' devices and not having any luck with her barking, I finally decided to try this static collar.

I had my boyfriend test it--as I didn't want to cause harm to my dog. Unlike the other review, we did not get a shock when walking around with it around, or barking into it, etc. My bf tried holding it and barking into it--nothing. He tried putting it on his wrist and barking into it--nothing. Finally he had to touch the probes to his neck and "bark" to finally get a reaction. He said it was sort of a pinch, with the muscles contracting but not hurting.

Day one--she barked incessently, but higher pitched, almost as if she didn't care, but could feel it (with one or two yips in between). I think at some point the collar turned off, as if the dog overbarks it is meant to. I was sad that it may not work.

Day two--she barked twice, not as loud as usual, but short high pitched barks--I think it corrected her both times, and she was silent.

Day three--no more barking. When I came home, the battery was dead too. I don't know if its because I had left it on overnight for a few days after testing (not realizing until later how to properly "turn it off"), or if that was just the battery life for it.

I was able to continue the full following week with the collar on her (without working batteries)--and it was enough of a deterrent for her not to bark.

I tried today to leave her without it, and left her regular collar on--and she barked. So...

-The bark collar works. Even my dog that doesn't care about anything in the world, eventually got the picture. Could work for your dog too.

-My dog still needs to keep the bark collar on, to keep her from barking. She knows when its off, that she can "play bark." Otherwise, when I come home and she still has it on, she keeps fairly quiet because she "knows"--until I take it off. It works.

-The battery died after 3 days of use. Possibly extend this to a full week (if I did leave it on for 24-hour periods accidentally). This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

I found a place on Amazon selling Maxell CR2032 batteries (100 pack for $30) which isn't terrible. It's worth the lack of barking and reviews on it says it was working on their bark collar (no model listed) for 2 batteries per week (60 cents a week!). Let's hope I have the same luck. And in either case, if the collar works on its own on her, that's fine by me!

Would definitely recommend it for anyone that is looking for a dog bark collar and is unsure. Petsmart has a 60-day guarantee, so test it out (on yourself first too, if you'd like!)!

i bought the collar a couple months ago after i adopted my deaf pittie pup. i was in such a hurry to stop her barking from disturbing the neighbors i got the first thing i could. once i brought it home it was too big for her neck so i cut it down to size (1st mistake was buying the collar instead of sport dog which i know and trust, 2nd mistake was cutting it as it prevented me from taking it back!) at first it was ok, i was still figuring it out and she was getting use to it. for the most part it silenced quite a few daily bark sessions. then as time when on i realized i was spending more time replacing batteries and constantly turning it back on after about 10/15 minutes or so (gotta love sleep mode). She figured out the trend, of when i put the collar on her then don't bark right away, wait a little while then bark bc it'll turn off again and sometimes she even barks THROUGH the collar. i once seen it light up indicating its responding to her bark and she KEPT barking, blew my mind smh. now its just a frustrating waste of space, i dont even bother with batteries i put it on her and "act it out", that way i can at least get 10/15 minutes of silence. a spray bottle full of water has more effect on her and shes not even afraid of water

I have 2 dogs. The first day I put this on my 1st dog then if my 2nd dog barked loudly while playing the 1st dog(with the bark collar) gets shocked. I put this on my wrist and barked into it and it shocked me, so I went to the kitchen and banged pans together and it shocked me. It is supposed to only shock if it senses vibrations from the dogs neck and hears an audible bark at the same time.

The collar may work if you only have one dog and are in a controlled environment but every accidental shock when the dog is being good is a training set back. So I give it one star.

Also I purchased this from petsmart in the store, they accepted the return stating "with the receipt you have up to 60 days to return it".

First, this is not a tray. It is just a border holder.

Second, the quality is very, very poor. The center lock is very hard to push into locking position.

Third, the center joint is a little bit lower then the entire holder. It is not flat while laid on the floor.

I just got some Wee Wee pads for my 15 year old poodle due to medical issues she pees so offten at night. They work perfect so I thought okay let's get a pad holder so I brought this and man was it a mistake. The night before with out the holder my dog used the pad perfect. The night with the holder my dog pee on the side or corner of the pad leaking over the plastic broader of the holder. I can only think that the holder confuse my dog.

I am out $43 but I am going back to just using the pads on the floor with no holder etc. This seems like a good idea but it is not really needed.

Update: I tried it again and I believe it makes the pad to high off the ground. My dog used it right but it leaked through to the floor. I credit this for it be off the floor a tad due to way the holder works so instead of soaking up pee it allowed to drip on floor. I will never use this again.

Buyer beware. This purchase was a waste of money. It implies that a dog can be trained to respond to various musical melodies--lot's of luck. The dog collar receiver is a monstrosity that was bulky for my dog and looked stupid. The two mile range is but wishful thinking. The instructions only explain what each button does. There is no insight on how to use it. Forget it.

This is quite useless as a pet correction gadget. Dogs will ignore the voice coming from the collar after a while, as you are not standing there for the dog to associate the voice with someone.

I bought this at a dollar store for two bucks. As I expected, the battery in the collar unit was nearly dead, it only functions best when plugged in or its internal PL503040 3.7v polymmer battery replaced. So if your dog gets lost, the thing is quite useless, unless you keep it turned off. Still good for short term FRS communications.

However, the other half of this novelty is that it seems to be using GMRS / FRS network. It picked up a couple of chatters while I tried it in the Long Beach Marina area. Both transmitters were too weak to make any understandable response back to them one guy told me to throw the piece of rubbish away and get a REAL GMRS radio from a pawn shop!

It's still useful for short-distance communications around the house like adjusting the antenna, or checking the fuse box. There are other GMRS gadget pairs that are cheaper.

It was a good patent idea on paper, however, it was poorly executed. If it was properly executed with durable/replaceable collar batteries, it would have been too expensive or too bulky for the dog.

I loved this idea so much that when I saw it, I invested about $10K into it. The product was apparently doing well and about to show up in all the major pet stores, and an extension of this great technology was also going to be used by the military for tracking their front line troops in action. I kept stopping by various pet stores to get some feedback, but they never did get the product. Next, I see that this small startup company has sponsored the winning chuckwagon at the Calgary Stampede for $210,000.00, outbidding all the major oil companies for this privilege, and getting the total VIP treatment for all their executives and entourage at the biggest party on Earth. Finally, I see this dude walking down the sidewalk in a yellow silk jacket with the HearNow logo on it, it was the main scammer Gerard Besaw's son Jarret Besaw, he had been promoted to be the Australian Sales Manager. Although they hadn't yet sold ten units in their own town, it was time to become global. Gotta think big! I suspect he used my $10K to fly there first class and stay in a five star accomodation long enough to see the sites in that country. I'm embarrassed to have been conned by these grifters. They were fined $100,000 by the Alberta Securities Commission but pocketed the rest of their $6.6 million other than their Stampede party costs. I think there should be more severe consequences for such blatant fraud. They continue to walk freely among us, living in Calgary, but using their offshore bank accounts to vacation. Sheisters!

I found the diapers to run small, I had to go to the next size up. I have a medium size dog and have to use the XL size. I like how they come up high on her back which helps them from slipping off. I also cut a holes in regular baby diapers, but that is a hassle and if I don't get it right, they will leak or slip down. It would be nice if you could buy a package that has more then 12 in it. Also they are quite expensive when compared to baby diapers. Overall I like the product.

We are potty training our Morkie puppy and these have been great.

The tabs occasionally come loose, but we just press them back on; no big deal.

I use the XS diapers on my cat, who is incontinent. The XS are a bit big on her, and she's 7 lbs. For the most part, they contain the urine, though the pad could rise higher up toward the tail-hole. Occasionally but infrequently, urine will drip out as she urinates. Defecation has an equal chance, it seems, to stay in the diaper or fall out as the tail hole sometimes exposes my cat's bottom. Bottom line, they are not perfect but are worth the price I can purchase these on Amazon.

I was hesitant to buy a soft crate for my 5 month old Australian Shepherd puppy. She is crate trained, but still, I wasn't sure about the chewing. I WISH I had purchased this crate before I bought the hard sided crate. We travel frequently with our dog, and this is our travel crate. She absolutely loves it. She doesn't even have to be coaxed in with a treat. She feels safe and secure, and she hasn't even thought about chewing her way out. I think the 32" size will be perfect for her as an adult dog -she will be about 45 lbs. This is very easy to set up and take down and so lightweight to move once it's set up (unlike our hard sided crate that pretty much stays in one room at home!). If you are considering a soft-sided crate, this one is absolutely perfect!

I have a 45 pound boxer and had to buy this on an unplanned trip that I could not take her kennel. The quality of the crate seems to be pretty good for limited use or if you aren't constantly breaking down and setting it back up. It has aluminum poles in the corners and the rest is a thick material. My pup suffers from EXTREME seperation anxiety; therefore, I was very nervous about leaving her in this. The crate actually held up very well. It is just large enough for my puppy I would think if your dog is any larger than mine, you might need to get the next larger size. The only reason I did not give it five stars at this point is because I do not know how well it will hold up over time.

We bought this crate to use for traveling with our Golden Retriever puppy. It works wonderfully. She had no problem getting used to it (at home we have a wire crate). While I would not use this for a full time at-home crate, especially for a chewing puppy, it works wonderfully for us traveling. We used it both in our vehicle and in our camper. It folds up easily when not in use. I like the zipper top opening for dropping in a treat or toy without having to unzip the side door.

This is a great product for those who like to take their dogs on a nice structured walk. My Siberian Husky completely gives up pulling when wearing one of these. Due to being quite short (which is why i like them), if you want to use these and you want your dog to be able to explore around you these leashes are not for you.

Bought these to simplify taking my dog the short walk & elevator ride to the pet relief area in our building. (You know, because having to put on a collar with a quick release snap is SUCH a hassle. Ha!) We just hang one of these on the door, stick the head through and go! Also convenient for stowing in the car for quick trips where you didn't think you needed a leash, but do.

Nice product for ~$1 each just flat braided nylon webbing with a ring on one end and a hand loop on the other. (Note that this is made of nylon, not braided polyethelene rope like the ones Cesar Millan uses, so it doesn't hold it's shape like those but is nicer in the hand.) Stitching appears to be sturdy and the length is just right for walking even my 13" tall dog in the heel position. I did receive 1 each of the rather pretty colors shown in the photo.

Not sure how this would work for dogs that pull excessively, in terms of comfort in your hand. I believe it would not come off a pulling/struggling dog's head/neck because it does immediately cinch down with any tension. However, as with any slip/choke-style collar and especially because this product's nylon material is soft/floppy, be cognizant of how the collar is oriented on your dog's neck since it can be slow to loosen with the release of tension.

I have two Shiba Inu and for small dogs, they can be very strong and fast. They are hunting dogs by nature and on several occasions have lunged at a squirrel or other small animal and somehow got off their leashes. We take them on several walks a day and wanted a way to take them out without having to worry about them getting loose. I got an idea from these slip leads. I put the handle through the ring on their harness and then through the ring on the lead. Now there is no escaping! I only wish these leads were a little longer like 6 or 8 feet. To give them more length, because they often like to explore in different directions when out on a walk, I attach a second slip lead to the handle of the first one and now they have 8 feet. This has really worked out great!

I finally found what I needed in the most affordable way for the quality I needed. I have a tiny dog, and we all know how they are, (I'm learning). Anyway, I just sometimes need a leash everywhere, anywhere, anytime, and I couldn't see paying $7-$20 for a lead for the 4 or 5 I needed.

So, I saw this and now I have one in the golf-cart, at the ready,... one on the porch, at the ready, one in the house, at the ready, and one in purse one in the car, etc.

I couldn't be happier.

All I had to do was add a carabiner to each ring, which I then clip to his harness at any time needed, and use the loop for my handle.

I can see that these are great leads for the purpose intended, however, they solved my problem of needing many quick "leashes" for my tiny one. (3-5 lb Chihuahua, puppy, highly excitable and enthusiastic, and sometimes just needs that "quick leash" in unexpected circumstances anywhere!).

Quality is good, btw, nice and strong. I believe the description for use was extremely accurate. They are also very pretty colors, easy to tell apart for the purpose, and for me, I can actually coordinate with the purse or the golf-cart (just kidding, really, really!).

I'm very disapointed with the posted specs on this product as compared with the actual ones. In their add on Amazon they claim a waterproof collar and up to a 1,000 yard range. When you recieve the item on the box it claims a 220 meter range and then in the manual only a 400 ft. range. Also in the book it states that it's only water resistant and when I questioned the seller about it they claimed that the actual collar, excluding the reciever, is waterproof which is rediculous and misleading as the collar is nylon and does get wet. Since then both recievers have failed and I have sent the item back for a refund and put in a claim with Amazon. Will let everyone know how it turns out but don't be misled by these false cTRAINING COLLAR FOR TWO DOGS WITH REMOTE FOR LARGE STUBBORN DOGSlaims.

Warning this vendor doesn't respond to phone or email. Note that these can't get wet at all. These 'Waterproof' remotes died on first contact with water. It's painful to spend this kind of money and having them fail so quickly. Vendor won't respond.

The Collars work pretty good, there are still moments when the rotts dont care about the max power shock, but other than that they work good, the dogs respond very well with the vibrate mode(which only has one button for both dogs so both dogs get vibrated).they have their flaws but All in All i would say they are pretty good for the price.

Unfortunately, the nose piece keeps going over my dogs' eyes so I can't use the halters for fear of eye damage. Also unfortunately, I don't have the plastic packaging that the halters came in to return them. I found the halters to be very cumbersome and a much more complicated fit than the Gentle Leader. They are not easily adjusted either.

I need to find out how/if I can return them without the plastic packaging.

This head halter kept riding up on my dog's eyes so I can't use it at all. :( The Canny Collar worked well in the end (didn't want to spend $30 first but ended up wasting money on this). The problem is that there is no point returning it as the postage would be more than the actual product.

Every dog is different and this collar offers another fit and option. Especially good for those snub nose dogs or those dogs built a little lower to the ground. I tried 2 Snoot Loop brand harnesses, and 1 Gentle Leader brand. My terrier puppy destroyed them all in short time. This has two major advantages: 1. If you get it on correctly, it does not get near your dogs mouth. Not only does that solve the chewing problem, but seems to be more tolerable for the dog. 2. The leash attaches behind the neck almost like hooking onto a collar. The others hook below the chin, which makes the leash come out at an odd angle and cause more tangles than normal.

I am also pleased at how well made this is for the price. The hardware is all very solid. There is a little felt padding on the part that contacts the muzzle. I ordered this one for my wife, I got mine from another website. This one has nice little elastic bumps where the halter pulls out that help in putting it on.

Oh, and yes it does stop the dog from pulling. If you know anything about dogs, these three words will let you know what I am dealing with: abandoned terrier puppy; Like trying to walk a Tasmanian Devil. Slip this on and she prances like a show dog. After six months of use, she does remarkable well when only hooked to her collar. We are still primarily walking with the head halter.

A word of warning, though. Make sure the slider is cinched down fairly tight. She has slipped out on rare occasion.

Ive never had an issue like this before but if not really well fitted the prongs roll over so the collar is inside out on the dog
