Great to get their attention when they are barking...you have to follow it up with a sharp verbal warning. No pain but they really turn their heads when I fire it off.

I liked this app. My Rottweiler was very interested but my pom mix just hid. I also found that my wife can hear up to 16kHz and I couldn't hear above 15. Only thing I didn't like was that it wasn't very responsive and occasionally raised the frequency when trying to lower it. And also the contrary which is why only 4 stars. I'd recommend adding a 10Hz increment adjustment for lower frequencies also.

This is such a piece of crap app. Don't even bother with it. I don't know why people make this fake stuff.

It's hard to tell if it works or not as the kindle itself emits an audible sound any time you click a frequency and it's hard to tell if that's what the dog is responding to or if it's really an inaudible (to humans) high frequency sound.

I bought the DogTek 400 because I needed two collars; however, I can't get them to both operate individually. Using one collar works great, but can't use them on both my dogs at the same time. We only had to use the flash button a couple of times on the low setting to correct our dogs and now we just use the beep and they immediately stop misbehaving. If I could get them synced to use together I would rate them at 5 stars

The signal seems to be affected negatively by walls. My biggest complaint is that if you unplug the device the unit starts shocking. So if my dog is home alone and I lose power my dog will be subjected to hours of shocking. It has rendered the unit useless to me unless I am home with the dog. I only need it when I am away so she can stay outside.

This is a great treat that my puppy loves. This price is much better than what I get in town. This is also one of the products that doesn't make her sickseveral other name brands are too tough on her tummy.

I have 2 adult boxers. I got these snacks thinking it would be good for my boys. Given their size and hardness it resulted in my dogs biting them into medium chunks then swallowing them. The result is many unhappy pups attempting to pass the chunks in the back yard.

If your dog is not one that chews all its food before swallowing then these are NOT for you.

This was one warehouse deal item that was probably no deal. The bag was cut open and taped. Not sure how long it was open but the bones looked dried out. My dogs still were interested in these though. They are eating them but they look more like rawhide bones than bacon bones. I'll be more careful next time I buy a sale treat for my dogs.

I have a very, very stubborn Chiweenie who has a terrible habit of eating animal feces. He also loves to pick up any sort of dead thing, or garbage we find on our walks. He knows the command "drop it", but when he finds something tasty, the Daschund in him goes into warrior mode, and refuses to let go. It usually ends in a wrestling match in the street, as I try to pull squirrel guts out of his throat.

He has already had Giardia once (a deadly parasite which is transmitted through feces). This almost killed him, and cost me a small fortune in vet bills.

I've tried everything with him from Dog whisperer techniques, to supplements, to clicker training, to flat out bribing him with bacon. Nothing worked. With a heavy heart, I decided to look into remote trainer. I wanted to make sure I found a product that was humane as possible, and didn't damage my dog's trust or confidance.

Make no mistake, this product is capable of delivering painful shocks in the higher settings. My boyfriend tried it out on his arm first, and he said level 3 was painful, but not unbearable. We never tried it higher than that.

In one day, I was able to break my dog's habit of eating cat feces. I always kept it one level 1 and only used the boost button twice, in the beginning.

My biggest complaint with this product is the remote. The buttons are too small and unlabeled. It's too easy to accidentally shock your dog by pushing the wrong button.

In the hands of a responsible, compassionate dog owner this is a very effective training aid. I've decided I will only use it to train him away from life-threating situations (like eating feces, or chasing).

I urge anyone who uses a product like this to do trust-building, positive training with your dog first, and only rely on the collar when all else fails.

If you have a little unruly dog, this is the collar for him/her. It will make them yelp if they tow the line at 1/2 the power level.

This collar fills the gap between a conventional and a walking collar. It tightens without the narrow restriction, and releases a bit slower but enough to be comfortable.

These collars are the very best for most any dog. It's almost impossible for a dog to slip out of it which can be very helpful with dogs that have small heads. We use these collars for all of our dogs and have for years.

My sneaky dog backed his way out of a halter the other day while on a walk, which meant I needed a new collar, and fast! My other half thought a choke collar was mean, but I didn't trust using another halter, so this was our compromise. These Petrainer collars are offered by Esky and Pet-Ed at lower prices. They are not waterproof, not even water resistant, as some sellers claim. Without immersion I had two fail after the dog ran in shallow water at the beach. Otherwise, while they worked the dog responded very well and only needed a vibration or beep to remind him when needed. After the last failure I continued to have him wear the defunct collar, and he still behaved well; well almost. Unless you live in a dry area, don't waste your money.

I have 2 100+ lb Akitas that are on their own agenda, this has helped them to be reacquainted with their training and commands. they are back on track, and way easier to take out now. Only 2 things I would change are the battery life, 12 hrs seems short especially when you're out camping for an entire weekend...... and the "warning" vibration only works when theres one collar programmed to a remote. They get shocked without the chance to prove themselves first; low level is their warning, but still.
