Richell Pet Pen 120 to 90 Floor Tray

Richell Pet Pen 120 to 90 Floor TrayOur Newfie has loved her private space in her Richell kennel for the past seven years. After such long use by a 120 pounder, the floor tray had several cracks and made quite a noise as she moved about. This was to be expected, actually it lasted longer than I expected. I was thrilled to find the tray still available. However, it arrived simply inserted into a large mylar plastic mailer similar to one you would use to mail a document. No protection to any corners, no padding, nothing else. The mailer was ripped in several places, and two corners of the tray are missing. I will keep it because we top it with a thick memory foam mattress to fit the kennel. But I would really urge the company to improve their shipping methods.

I have five darling parakeets. I love them to death. But they are messy little beggars. Placing the cage on a small table in the center of this floor tray has made cleanup very easy. Any seeds, shells and poop which they happen to scatter about land safely on the tray. A weekly vacuuming and a quick rinse is all that is needed to keep my feathered friends in top shape.

Great value.

Packaging is poor, there is nothing to protect the floor tray inside the carboard box so it is cracked. Will be returning at once. Wouldn't recommend product with current packaging design.

I use this tray to put under my cat box. The item came packaged poorly and was broken on the edges. I kept it because it is such a pain to send broken items back. It works fine but looks bad because it is taped. I would not use this to put under a dog kennel because it would be leaking pee all over the place.

Kong Ball Dog Toy, Large

Kong Ball Dog Toy, LargeThis ball weighs a ton, and sounds like the dogs are bowling when they play with it. But it is the ONLY ball my 3 standard poodles have been unable to destroy. I have to hide it in a drawer for some peace, or they would 'bowl' all day and all night! They love this thing.

My dog chewed up 5 kongs but has yet to chew this ball up. he loves it . Kong makes the best, most durable dog toys i have ever found.

Buy Kong Ball Dog Toy, Large Now

I have used this product before and have found it to be the dogs favorite toy. The ball does not damage furniture if hit and does not hurt dog if I should hit her. Very happy with product.

Nylabone Healthy Edibles Bacon Flavored Bone with Vitamins, Regular, 12-Count Pouch

Nylabone Healthy Edibles Bacon Flavored Bone with Vitamins, Regular, 12-Count PouchThis is a great treat that my puppy loves. This price is much better than what I get in town. This is also one of the products that doesn't make her sickseveral other name brands are too tough on her tummy.

I have 2 adult boxers. I got these snacks thinking it would be good for my boys. Given their size and hardness it resulted in my dogs biting them into medium chunks then swallowing them. The result is many unhappy pups attempting to pass the chunks in the back yard.

If your dog is not one that chews all its food before swallowing then these are NOT for you.

This was one warehouse deal item that was probably no deal. The bag was cut open and taped. Not sure how long it was open but the bones looked dried out. My dogs still were interested in these though. They are eating them but they look more like rawhide bones than bacon bones. I'll be more careful next time I buy a sale treat for my dogs.

I love these bones and so does my 5 month old Aussie/Akita. They are safe. No pieces to choke on or risk of cracking teeth like other bones. "They are definately tasty"says my pup. Also they last a lot longer then treats.

The Buddy System - Hands Free Leash - Regular Dog System - Blue Regular

The Buddy System - Hands Free Leash - Regular Dog System - Blue RegularThis is a fantastic system to use when training crazy young puppies and dogs! It keeps your dog safely attached to you, leaving both of your hands free to Click your clicker, give hand signals, and treat your dog! This product feels very sturdy and well made. The leash material is very thick and feels like it will stand up well to prolonged use. All of the buckles and the leash clasp feel sturdy as well. The leash clasp can unbuckle from the leash itself (as you can see in the stock photo) so you can let your dog roam or swim, and then hook them back up after. The leash section itself can also unbuckle, allowing you to use it just like a normal leash and is adjustable from 22" 40".

As a group dog class instructor, this has become an invaluable tool for me. I can hook my demo dog to me, and gesture with my hands while giving demonstrations, without one of my hands being tied up holding a leash.

I also recommend this product to clients that are having trouble with leash pulling, as it helps prevent you from allowing your dog to pull your arm in different directions. You're strongest at your trunk (around hips, waist) so it gives you better control of a pulling dog and they are less likely to pull you over, though I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with lower back issues.

I also love this for hiking trips when my dog can't be off leash because I can adjust how much leash to give him and it's almost like he is off leash, but I still have 2 hands free to take photos. I haven't bought any of the accessory leashes, but I'm seriously considering the bungee leash for hikes as well.

I would definitely buy this product again and recommend it to all of my dog training clients.

Pet Media Adventure Dog DVD Volume 1: Outside Adventures

Pet Media Adventure Dog DVD Volume 1: Outside Adventuresrealized it wasn't made for humans. It focuses a lot on sounds. It has a lot of dog barks inserted artifically, which I guess the dogs appreciate. I sat and watched it with 5 dogs on a rainy/stormy day. The Boxer looked at the screen occasionally. The Shih tzu with storm phobias stopped trembling and started to doze off during the ocean segment. I saw ears perk at different sounds from most. Since I can't ask them, I'm going to assume that it holds some interest for them. I think the training segments totally suck. I don't see how a dog can learn by hearing "sit....good dog" repeated for 10-15mins. I would think they would become numb to the words, if anything. I was ready to throw my shoe at the screen to make it stop.

My Rottweiler puppy does not sit still for a minute! However when we put this video on she absolutely loves it. In fact, she goes to the tv screen and tries to smell it. She even licked it once! She wants to interact with the dogs onscreen. She also barks at them and pushes her paw at them as well. My husband and I get a big kick out of watching her watch this and laugh at her! Finally something that amuses her and keeps her interest for awhile. Since Rottweilers are within the top 10 smartest dogs perhaps there is a reason for her interest in this. One of the dogs does looks somewhat like her too. The only sequence she did not like was the ocean scenes, that one bored her. I can only speak for my dog so I am speaking for her!

33 Pack GRIDLOCK 24" x 24" Puppy Dog Animal Training Wee Wee Pads

33 Pack GRIDLOCK 24' x 24' Puppy Dog Animal Training Wee Wee PadsThese are the best puppy pads I have found. They are very absorbent and almost odorless. I am happy to give them a 5 star.

@ a way better price than the puppy pads at most retail pet stores. I had been purchasing the store brand at Petsmart for almost $1 per pad (in 10 packs). These lasted about 3 months for my cat. I would recycle them by cutting the portion that was peed on off the pad and letting her use the rest of the pad that was still clean by sticking two clean halves side by side. I'm going to repurchase another bag and hope that by the time I get through another, she'll be back in her litter box!

Buy 33 Pack GRIDLOCK 24" x 24" Puppy Dog Animal Training Wee Wee Pads Now

We have tried every brand and style of these available on the market. These are by far the best. As others have said, they stay flat, their edges are more sturdy and the "moisture" doesn't go through. The best available at any retail store is nowhere near as good as these.

With four dachshunds who cannot be made to go out in the rain (or wind, or cold, or . . . those with doxies understand) no matter what the incentive, we use wee wee pads regularly. These seem to hold more than the others we've tried. Unless it's a very small puppy, the output is more than the other pads can handle. When the pad is wet, the backing doesn't separate from the padding and the wetness is less likely to seep over the edges. They are also sturdier nails, even the cat's, don't shred them into bits. I recommend these over any other brand or style.

Midwest Wire Mesh Pet Gate, 29 Inches to 50 Inches wide x 44 Inches tall

Midwest Wire Mesh Pet Gate, 29 Inches to 50 Inches wide x 44 Inches tallThe gate is tall and works well in the standard door jam I am using it in. I use it for my crazy chocolate lab, and it works well. I was concerned she would jump over the typical 36" gates. The 44" height was the main reason I bought it. When I took it out of the box a few screws were loose, and one was even stripped. A little chintzy when it is standing free, but is quote solid when in-place. The total quality is somewhat lacking, but it gets the job done.

needed to separate new cat from rest of our pets and this combined with a 36" gate did the job

Buy Midwest Wire Mesh Pet Gate, 29 Inches to 50 Inches wide x 44 Inches tall Now

This gate did the job for almost two days before it broke.

We purchased this gate to keep the cat from roaming too much, and it seemed to be keeping him confined as hoped. I did notice the adjustment bar was a bit lightweight for the size of the gate and would flex a bit when the gate was secured. Well, it lasted for less than two days (probably 10-12 opening/closing cycles) before it snapped. At $20./day it's a bit too expensive for me!

This gate is exactly what I expected and more. It is perfect for my dogs that are able to leap tall buildings and climb over them. Before I found this gate I was resorted to putting up (2) baby gates one on top of the other, looked horrible, this gate is clean looking and perfect for me!

I would highly recommend this gate. I use it for my cat...anything lower she would be able to jump. The gate is very sturdy, well made. I got it at a lower price from Amazon...the only damage was to the box, and didn't affect the gate at all...a real bargain.

GSI Super Quality Ultra-Safe Waterproof Adjustable Training Dog Collar with Remote Control - 6 Level

GSI Super Quality Ultra-Safe Waterproof Adjustable Training Dog Collar with Remote Control - 6 Levels of Static and Vibration - Great Pet Behavioral DeviceI purchased this for my very stubborn terrier who HAD a dangerous habit of running away & towards a very busy road. Nothing, absolutely nothing I tried worked and we consistently tried every method of positive reinforcement available for 15 months. Finally, with him almost getting hit, I found this product. Within 2 months using the LOWEST setting just several times, the behavior is completely eradicated! Now our darling pup comes immediately when called, never runs away, and is as happy & safe as a pup can be.

Something must have been lose inside because it never worked out of the box. And it was not rechargeable. Then had lots of trouble trying to return the darn thing.

Battery lasted 1 1/2 days and can be expencive to replace. It quit working all together in less than a week and left me very disapointed. I find no guarantee in or on the box.

I got this to correct bad behavior and keep my dog off the neighbors property and close to me when hiking as he has a tendancy to chase anything moving. Once you get it put together (heads up the 9 volt battery in the remote control is covered in plastic that can't see)it worked fine. Static pulses have the same intensity on all six settings but the length of the shock differs. Six stopped my dog right away from chasing a cat so I was pleased. The vibrate and pulse don't work together so it will be a challenge to have him associate the two so I don't have to shock him. however, I got this to teach him to listen to me and obey without me yelling my head off. I have my doubts about the water proof claim but haven't tested it. I think water resistant may be more accurate. The instructions leave a lot to be desired and somebody should have proof read them as there are words completely wrong like socks instead of snacks. I'm familiar with these collars and was able to figure it out. As the collar works on motion it will stay on continuously so I take it off when I'm not with him and training so hopefully the battery will last. This is a basic training collar and for the price you can't beat it.

Want GSI Super Quality Ultra-Safe Waterproof Adjustable Training Dog Collar with Remote Control - 6 Level Discount?

Packaged nice, but never worked, dead on arrival. Actually ended up requesting a return, but forgot to send the package back... (my bad). I ended up spending more $ on Sport Dog 400 which is a much higher quality product. If you get an operating collar that works a few times,it may be enough to correct the behavior, but if you want something to last a while you may want to pass.

PoochieBells The Trusted Name in Dog Training Doorbells in Classic Starry Night Stripe

PoochieBells The Trusted Name in Dog Training Doorbells in Classic Starry Night StripeAfter about two days my little puppy was ringing the bell when nature called. It was funny because you could tell how bad he had to go based on how aggressively he rang the bells. I've been diligent in making potty time not play time. If we're planning on going out and he rings the bell while I'm getting ready, we go out and go potty and then come back in and wait a while until we go back out for play. I want to make sure that he doesn't associate the bells with getting to go outside and play. So far so good highly recommended.

I bought these for my newly adopted Shih Tzu mix dog and they are great! I hung the bells on my sliding glass door with ease. I love that the height is adjustable if you have a larger dog. Great purchase.

Great quality product, someone is making a steal on it because of the price being charged for such a simple item.

I had bell trained a miniature golden doodle with these bells a few years ago and but had no luck training my older 5 pound Yorkie; she was terrified of the large bells. So I started off training my new Yorkie pup with a home made version constructed out of small bells stitched on ribbon I purchased at a craft store. I was then able to hang the Poochie Bells with my homemade bells and converted her to using the larger bells. She is no longer afraid of the big bells. In fact she whacks them to get our attention to play with her!

Reptology® Turtle Pier Floating Platforms w/Ramp

Penn Plax Decorative Turtle Pier Floating/Basking PlatformI recently bought 2 red eared slider hatchlings.I chose this penn plax floating turtle pier based on complaints about every other brand and configuration. My gamble paid off!!The turtles love to bask on it and also to hide under it with the floating live plants. The pier is large(I have a 40 gallon breeder tank) and strong too.I tested its capacity by placing some weight on it and it is strong enough to hold several adult turtles. For very large turtles the pier can be modified with a little inginuity to be stationary as opposed to floating. It even has an area for clean drinking water and or food.Overall I'm very happy with this pier. :)

This floating pier only works great on small turtle from 2 inches 4 inches. My turtle got big (around 5 inches now) and it will not support its weight. The whole pier sinks down when he tried to climb on. So..this product probably won't last long for your turtles if you are planning to keep your turtles for a long time, so keep searching for better product!

Buy Reptology® Turtle Pier Floating Platforms w/Ramp Now

This platform is really nice, just beware that it is REALLY big! Do not get it unless you have a tank bigger than 20 gal.! When I upgrade my tank, I will purchase this again, but for now, it's just far to big for my turtles needs, and my turtles tank!

Read Best Reviews of Reptology® Turtle Pier Floating Platforms w/Ramp Here

I have a 5" Reeve's turtle that loves this thing. He scrambles up the ramp very easily. His weight isn't enough to put it off balance so I don't fill the counterbalance with gravel. I don't have it anchored with the suction cups so it floats freely. It would be more stable if it were anchored. A larger turtle may need that. (Someone commented that their 5" turtle was too heavy for it. I'm not sure how this is possible and I only mention it because it's misleading and the only reason I hesitated to purchase this item. I assure you, it will hold a larger turtle than 5" very easily!) My turtle also loves to hide under the platform so it pulls double duty.

Want Reptology® Turtle Pier Floating Platforms w/Ramp Discount?

I've read reviews that big turtles will sink the platform or the ramp will get knocked off. I've got two African Sideneck turtles and they are about 6in each for now. Both of them on, it'll somewhat sink, but barely for water to get on platform. The ramp problem, I had aquarium silicone, so glued it to the platform and had no problems. As far as bigger turtles, put an aquarium air pump on the bottom of the platform so bubbles will constantly lift the platform out of the water. Another great thing about this, it can a lot of punishment, turtles and heat.

Dogtra Surestim Low-High Training Collar

Dogtra Surestim Low-High Training CollarI purchased both the 1900NCP and 7100H. Both are great collars.

The 7100H is essentially the same as the 1900NCP except for the transmitter vibration feature, the LED Light on the collar unit is in a more visible place towards the top front corner of the unit, and the collar unit does not have a physical on/off button, rather it has a red magnetic dot where you hold the magnetic dot on the trasmitter (while on) up to the magnetic dot on the collar unit to turn on or off. Also the 7100H is green and black unlike the all black 1900NCP. The vibration feature is great and I figure the SureStim is only 10 or 20 bucks more than the 1900NCP, why not just pay a little more and have the feature for when I'm out with my dog in the cold and wearing gloves.

I have a 80lb, 9 month old GSD and he requires anywhere from a 30 all the way up to 50 correction. The dial goes up to 127. There is also a 7000M which is the same model as the 7100H except it has a low to mid power. I prefer the 7100H because it is low to high, so if there is a huge distraction and my stubborn boy isn't listening, I have the extra power if I ever need it.

I would highly recommend the Dogtra 7100H if you want high end power, vibration to know you pressed the button down all the way, a well built quality unit and reliability in a dog collar.

PRO: My lab has always been a smart dog, easy to train. However I got deployed for 400 days and my family did not have time to keep teaching him and correcting him when he was bad. So bad habits like getting on the table for food happened, and having to tell him to sit more than once. With the Dogtra collar I am able to put him back into good standings with my wife, since he doesn't act up when I'm around (LOL he thinks I'm the alpha male.. if he only knew). I also have a wireless shock fence, but that didn't give him much room to run in the back yard. So I took the flags for that and walked him around showing him the flags and just vibrating his collar when he got too close to them. So now he has more room, and I'm not worried about him running over to the neighbors. I used the collar to shock him once for jumping up on people, haven't even needed it for that issue since. If anyone has anything bad to say about Dogtra I would immediately say they need to learn how to train their dog first.

CON: I was reading some place that the device only has a few hours of use before you need to charge it for 10 hours. That's not true, but I guess that depends on how much you shock your dog. My charge last's two to three days. The "Nick" button doesn't really do anything for my dog. He just gets a look on his face that looks like he was wondering if he imagined getting shocked. If he's excited and bouncing off the walls the "Nick" button does nothing.

Overall I would recommend this to anyone, and everyone. I got into trouble for buying this even though we "talked" about it costing too much, but now even my wife is recommending it to her friends.

Buy Dogtra Surestim Low-High Training Collar Now

UPDATE: About a year of use now. I am changing my review from 5 stars to 3.5 stars due to two factors. 1.) This does not get anywhere close to a half mile range. I would say at maximum (clear open spaces with no obstructions) it will get around the length of a football field (100 yards). That's only 0.0568181818 of a mile. NOT the .5 Miles advertised). 2.) The battery life on the remote collar is short lived! Without use, it gets about 2 3 days. If done properly, I would still highly recommend the use of an e-collar. Just know that this one doesn't give you the range that is advertised.

Besides my dog, the Dogtra 7100H SureStim Remote Trainer is the best purchase I have ever made.

I have a puppy who I have been taking to weekly training ever since he has been 8 weeks old (8 months now). All though he is a super smart pup, like all terriers, he is a very independent thinker with a headstrong personality. When we are training with no distractions he listens and obeys every word I say without hesitation. As part of our weekly routine, I take him to the local dog parks to ensure that he is properly socialized and gets plenty of exercise. During our outings, he totally forgets who I am and will run off in to the woods in search of other people and dogs. My recall commands are ignored and I am unable to successfully get him to come or even listen to me for that matter. One day I was taking him for a walk (on leash) and he saw another dog across the street and pulled and wiggled so hard that his leash and collar came off. Concerned for his safety and upon recommendation of a few other dog owners I decided to go out and buy an e-collar. I looked around at several different brands and finally narrowed my selection down to Tri Tronics, SportDog and Dogtra. In fact, I was all set to go with another brand, but when I went to the store the Dogtra handheld remote felt best in my hand. The buttons are placed in the right spots and the size is smaller than the others brands that are of similar range. This means that I can place it in my hand, extend my finger over the antenna and can discreetly conceal the handheld remote. Both the remote and the e-collar are built solid, waterproof, and look attractive. The charge lasts for a few days and recharges quickly. I get great range and when wearing gloves, I can set my handheld remote to vibrate so I know that I correctly pressed the button. The LED light allows me to see what correction level I am using day or night and there is a wide range of correction levels (1-127). I think it is the most of any brand. The handheld remote has three buttons which allow you to either: a.) make the collar vibrate, b.) send a "nick" or momentary correction, or c.) send a continuous correction (I never have needed to use). The package contains: Handheld remote, e-collar, charger, splitter (allows you to charge the remote and the e-collar simultaneous), lanyard, metal belt clip, and carrying case. The only negative thing I can mention is that the system does not come with a training dvd. I was however able to find a valuable training manual at the following website. ( )

Since I have been using this, my pup now listens to me even when there are distractions. In fact, it only took a few times for him to pick up that if he didn't pay attention on my first command, that he would receive a gentle encouragement. It only took him a few times to get it.

I personally would never use an e-collar to teach a dog a new command, but for commands that he already knows it is a good way to encourage him to pay attention. This has truly helped me to keep him safe and in my control while still giving him the freedom to be off leash and to play and have fun. Remember, every dog has a different tolerance level and those tolerance levels will differ depending on the environment. Never give your dog more than is needed. A gentle reminder is all that is needed to make them come around.

One thing to note: It would have been nice to not pay the sales tax, but I wasn't able to find Amazon as an authorized Dogtra dealer. So to be on the safe side I ended up paying the sales tax and purchasing this at an authorized retail store.

Dogtra Thanks for giving me back my pup! We are now able to go out and enjoy the great outdoors without risk of him taking off! Our relationship has never been better and I have your e-collars to thank!

Purchased this to assist getting my wonderful golden retriever's attention when we're out on our daily off-leash walks around the neighborhood. The collar unit is pretty substantial, so I don't think it'd be appropriate for smaller breeds. My golden pays no attention to the heft/weight when I put his "big boy" Dogtra collar on him before our walks. I've only used the vibration function, never the Nick or Continuous. I agree with the prior posters' comments, that this unit is optimally used to reinforce commands the dog has already learned. For example, if we're walking along and my dog stops to sniff something really wonderful (to him) and I walk past and continue up the street, if I call "Come!" and he doesn't immediately react, I give a short push of the vibration button on the handheld remote, and just the short vibration burst breaks his little pea-brain's attention, and he comes running to me with a happy face for a sit/click/treat. Thanks so much for this product. It makes our daily long walks much more enjoyable for both of us. Highly recommended, even though it's one of the more expensive one-dog units.

I just wish I could purchase the 1" optional contact points for the collar so I could have the option of using Nick correction with his longer double-coat. Unfortunately, the longer points only seem to be available from the Dogtra online store, and their store doesn't support SSL data encryption. If you use their store anyway, your credit card info is exposed for everyone on the web to see.

** UPDATE ** February 6, 2012: I did find the 1" optional contact points elsewhere online, and replaced the originals. Whether it's because our golden has gotten used to the vibration-only correction, or he's just gotten more independent now that he's 15 months old and 87 lbs of happy guy,... I have had to use the "Nick" a few times on a very low setting, and that's worked perfectly. It's still a wonderful tool for both of us on our daily off-leash long walks. Highly recommended.

Wellness Pure Rewards All-Natural Delicious Venison Jerky Bits Dog Treats

We received a bag of Wellness Pure Rewards Venison Jerkey Bits in a gift bag and she'll do ANYTHING we ask of her for these treats! It's the only thing she truly LOVES to eat! We've shared with friends and their dogs feel the same way. They are difficult to find in stores, but I found them easily and at a better price on Amazon.

Dog Fence Receiver Heavy Duty Replacement Strap Pink

Dog Fence Receiver Heavy Duty Replacement Strap PinkThe original PetSafe collar lasted us about 7 years, but the clasp finally cracked. The brand name ones come with the receiver and cost around $150.

This collar is not as wide or as thick as the original, but for the price, it is quite sufficient. We've been using it for about 3 weeks with no problems. The receiver fits in it perfectly. It comes VERY long, so can fit truly any dog neck I can imagine. You just adjust it, cut the excess, and burn the end to melt it.

We're happy with the purchase and happy to spend a fraction of the price.

The replacement collars I ordered came in fast ordered on Thursday can in on Saturday! Thanks so much for the prompt turn a round! The Collars are perfect heavy duty the width could be wider but, the collar that came from pet safe was not as good quality. Thanks again for the fast turn time I needed her collar on her ASAP and I would order again from this company very impressed. PS: Cut the collars to the right length and burned off the ends so not to frey fits perfect!!!!

I have both large and small dog and I was concerned that the collar would not hold the smaller receiver. I am very happy to report that this collar can accommodate both the larger and smaller receiver. I need the collars because the larger collar is very old. Also I didn't leave enough grow room in the smaller collar and it wouldn't fit her anymore. I wanted to let fellow small dog owners know that this collar will work for them.

As far as the collar goes the material and the clasp seem very sturdy and I am very happy with this product!

Dogtra 2 Dog Advance Training Collar

Dogtra 2 Dog Advance Training CollarI have been using the 2-dog Dogtra collar for over 2 months now (see updates below) and have been extremely satisfied with my purchase. As a background, I use the collars on my Siberian Husky (Female, 55lbs, 18 months old) and Black Labrador (Male, 80lbs, 16 months old). Both are very active with lots of energy and are eager to give the animals in my neighborhood a run for their money if they get the chance. I live in a townhome with no fenced in yard, so between bathroom breaks and regular walks in my subdivision, the constant putting on and taking off the leashes got old quickly. I bought these collars in hopes of improving my dogs' behavior in the house as well as being able to take them outside to exercise or simply go to the bathroom without constantly worrying they would take off down the road. These collars have been a life-saver that has not only made it easier to take the dogs outside, but has really helped me to set rules and boundaries for my dogs in the home and when they are outside my arm's reach (when they decide that listening to me is optional). I previously used Petsafe collars, but found that the range and stimulation to be inconsistent and would say those collars are best for low energy or happy-go-lucky dogs that need small adjustments from time to time. These collars have proved to be the real-deal for my 2 best friends and the reason I strongly recommend these Dogtra collars: consistency, ease of use and variation in stimulation. Also, having the ability to control both dogs on one controller is genius. The highest level I have ever had to use is 50 of 127 vs the highest setting on the other collars (remember, these are my best friends and the last thing I would ever wish for is to cause them undo pain). I believe anyone with a stubborn dog or one that can become easily fixated on objects understands how hard it can be to get their attention and also how important it is to do it quickly. These collars have done just that. The collars are easy to put on and off and I usually let them wear them in and out of the house (usually 2-3 hours in the morning and 3-4 hours in the evening). I wish to make it clear that my dogs are under my supervision at all times and that consistency has been the key to my success in using these collars as they will do the job every single time. So in summary, if you are at your wits end, feel like you have no control over your dog(s), or don't feel you could ever walk your dog outside off-leash (all feelings I used to have) and are serious about working daily to improve your dog's behavior both in the home and out, I can think of no better tool to have than these collars. I wish anyone that may read this review great success and believe you will be equally impressed with these collars as I have been. Good luck!

Update 11/22/10 I have owned the collars for 1 year now and I stand by my original review. I continue to use the collars every day, but would say the highest level I have had to use over the last 6 months is 25, but mostly I use the vibration option as that is all that is really needed to get their attention. It is a great feeling not having to constantly worry about what the dogs are going to do when we go outside. I have noticed that there is a slight decrease in the battery life of the collar, but considering the level of use I am not terribly surprised and do not think it warrants a drop in my original rating at this time. If the time comes that I have to get the battery replaced, I will be sure to update this review again.

Update 6/29/11 I have owned the collars for over a year and a half now and I recently purchased a replacement battery for one of the collars. I purchased the battery directly from Dogtra as Amazon did not offer the battery. It did not set me back too much and now works the same as it did on day 1. I still love these collars and recommend them to any responsible dog owner.

This is the second Dogtra collar I've owned. And I love it! The only reason I bought a new one is because I have two dogs now and decided to upgrade to the two-dog system. Dogtra makes the best collars, they are incredibly easy to use, very reliable, and last forever. And Dogtra has made some really great improvements over the last collar I purchased. It's much easier to activate the collars now. The only caution I give is to make sure you realize the buttons on the front are PAGERS not shock buttons. I found out the hard way when my dog ran away from me and got into the neighbors goat pen. I couldn't figure out why he wasn't even fazed by my shocking him at the highest level. well, needless to say I was "paging" him instead of shocking him. Go figure...he didn't answer my page when there were goats to smell! And thankfully I can get my dogs attention when the collars are only set to level 35 (not 125!). Anyway, I highly recommend these great collars.

Purchased the dual collars for my dogs. One is very sensitive (Lab Terrier Mix, tall/lean at 40lbs) who only needs the collar set to vibrate, a sting no higher than 5. The other is a bully breed (about 60lbs) who we use the collars for schutzhund training. He has a very high pain threshold in drive and needs a reliable collar and the dogtra advanced does the trick, we still have room left to sting where as on many other collars he had no issues maxing it out. He is a tough and determined guy.

The collar isn't overly heavy, easy for the dog to wear and the remote is sleek and easy to use (once you read the manual). I bought the dual collars for camping and hikes with my two and it's great so far but had not had the chance to use it yet for long periods of time. Comes in a nice case too! The only thing I wish it had was something to tighten the strap when I am wearing it around my wrist, but I can find something to solve that.

**please make sure you are trained in the use of electronic collars before use, or they will be useless to you and damaging to the dog**

My daughter has two dogs and asked for the Dogtra set as a Christmas gift for her and her fiancé. Now she can let the dogs out and they will listen to her commands with just the vibration setting. The difference in obedience is amazing and the stress of owning two rambunctious dogs has been reduced considerably. My daughters' fiancé is a professional dog trainer and asked specifically for this set and I can now see why he did. The quality of construction of the collars and transmitter is excellent and the batteries seems to last all day or longer. Perfect for multiple pet owners that need to exert more control.

We have 2 English Springer Spaniels who like to dash across the road sometimes to check out the dog on the other side.

I am not having it because they risk getting hit by a car.

We have tried a few of the other training collars and they are quite inferior compared to the quality of the Dogtra training collar.

When we opened the package, we discovered that the collars, receivers, transmitter and cords were nicely packed into a special storage case.

The design of the collar and receiver is so professional, not at all cheap-looking.

Definitely a highly quality-made product.

I love that the Dogtra has well over a 100+ levels of "behavior correction" because some dogs truly are immune to the lower levels of correction.

The tone feature works well too.

A feature that we really love is that there is no on/off button for the collars. There is a little red spot on the back of the transmitter, you swipe it over or near a red spot on the receiver(s) and the collar flashes green. To turn the collars off, you swipe the transmitter in the same way.

We have had the collars almost a month and they are still fully charged as is the transmitter.

We put the collars on to take them for a walk and then the collars come off until the next walk.

The collars are not a cheaply made collar, they are strong and durable. We did like that they were easy to cut so that we could ensure that not too much excess hangs out when they have their collars on.

The transmitter is easy to carry in one's hand, almost ergonomic-feeling. The buttons are easily within reach when needed.

True, this is a pricey collar but now that we own it and have tested it, we have only positive things to say about it and would highly recommend it.
