Dean and Tyler Nylon Patches, Service Dog In Training, Black/White, 5-Inch by 1.5-Inch

I got this patch for my Service dog's vest. The letters are like the iron on letters that you can purchase from the craft store. The material seems cheap. I am very worried that the lettering is going to peel off or "chip". It's not what I was expecting. The patch has a Velcro on the back for easy transfer of vests. I am just going to sew mine on just in case.

I bought these patches because people kept asking me if the dog id in training...and they work great for that.

Now they ask me, what is the dog being trained for?

I ordered these for a small Chinese Crested dogs service vest. They came in a timely manner and were of decent quality. Easily changed out via the Velcro which is a major plus. They are bright and large enough to be read from afar but not too obtrusive they get in the dogs way. They look professional though a little on the pricey side.

I have not had the vest very long. The vest, itself is very durable and good qualitythe patches are cheap! This is very disappointing. The material is cheap, there is no hem-stop on the edges to keep from fraying (I mean come onit's dog vest! you would think they would be a little more heavy duty...)The patches are starting to come apart around the edges and the paint from the lettering is chipping off. I was going to order more patches but I think I would rather find stitched patches elsewhere.

We have a black dog who is really hard to see at night. This collar is so bright, you can see him on the darkest of nights. I feel better knowing cars will be able to see him and slow down in plenty of time.

I ordered the orange collar, and was pleasantly surprised with how well it lights our way when we walk in the dark. I have a Westie and he glows orange around his head when we walk--which seems to distract the neighbors a little, but it's worth it. The collar also lights up the snow around us when we walk. We are definitely noticed in the dark when crossing the street--we get a lot of stares--and that's the point. The lights have three "on" modes: on without movement, rapid flashing, and slower flashing.

One thing that I had to figure out on my own, since it was not explained in the description or any directions, was that you can adjust the collar over the bulbs. The clip is loose enough to do that. My dog is smaller and at first I thought that the collar was too large for him despite me having measured his neck to order the appropriate size. It really is adjustable. Just try to position the clip between bulbs.

My dog is solid black & while taking a trip to the mountains where there are no street lights, I decided to purchase this collar. I worked great. Without it, we wouldn't have known where he was! For anyone interested in getting a Pug, but absolutely knows nothing about the breed, this is the level 100 intro. It doesn't cover Pug specific health problems such as sensitivity to high heat, cleaning, etc. It is only the most basic of basic information. Only the first 15-20 minutes of the video actually cover the Pug. The remaining part of the disc is a generic training video with another type of dog, Aussie, I think. My real praise for the video is just for the cute factor of the Pug puppy featured in the DVD. He is a star in the making. The music on the video is repeated throughout and can be quite annoying.

There is a lot of information specific to pugs like; shedding, overheating, housetraining issues, as well as their eyes. This was not covered. It was very generic about dogs. I think the title is misleading.

Red Dingo Dog Lead, Small, Yellow

Very light duty leash, it is a lot smaller than what I thought I was buying. The metal clip is light weight ok for 10lb dog or less. Its not too bad of leash but there are better ones for the money. Too expensive for what you get.

I love that this leash is adjustable and perfect for my shichon. I also like that the clip rotates so she doesnt get wrapped up in the leash. Nice bright yellow color too.

When i got this lead I was disappointed it is very thin and the material is really cheap and also the metal lock is not that solid , i can never take my dog out with it since its not safe as it may get broken any second ( by the way, my dog is 9kgs weight).

Moreover, i have ordered this item along with a matching yellow collar from the same supplier in order to get it in one shipment and not to pay for the items twice because it has to be shipped by aramex outside the US. Unfortunately, after a confirmation from Amazon that both of them will be shipped in one shipment, the supplier send the collar separately which costs me paying the double for shipping it.

Pet Greens Treats Jerky-Style Dog Treats

My dog is 16 now and has always been a finicky eater, it has always been hard to find things she likes, but these are one of her favorites! They are also so healthy. She has also always had itchy skin in the late summer to fall, I found these treats last fall and this past summer her skin was so much better, hardly any itching. I would recommend them. Be sure to read the directions though, the amount you give your dog is recommended by their weight. They are also good for dogs if they tend to eat grass.

My wife and I share our home with the Three Muske-Terriers: A male Westie, a male Cesky and, the Empress-of-All-She-Surveys, a female Scotty. The Empress is alergic to wheat, (along with corn and soy), so I had my doubts concerning Pet Greens Roasted Chicken Recipe w/ Wheat Grass Dog Treats wheat grass after all is just "juvenile" wheat. But apparently not to worry! We're half way through our first bag and no allergic reaction, (you haven't lived until you've seen a crazed Scotty in the middle of an allergic frenzy chewing on her tootsies). Now, putting aside her allergies, the Empress will eat almost anything and so will the Cesky. But the Westie gives new meaning to the term "finicky" and Asta gives these treats five barks I mean, stars. So what's up here?

The treats are mostly roasted chicken meal, supplemented with dried chicory extract, organic ground wheat grass powder, lecithin, salt, cultured whey and garlic, preserved with "mixed tocopherols," (I'm not a chemist, but I think that's a fancy name for vitamin E, sourced from vegetable oil). The wheat grass doesn't contain any wheat glutten which I think is the reason it doesn't trigger the Empress' allergies. Wheat grass is an excellent source of any and all of the nutrients contained in fresh vegetables.

The treats are small "jerky-like" rectangles no more than an inch by 3/4s of an inch, and maybe 1/16 of an inch thick, (they may be more appropriate for small to medium size dogs a large dog would want three or four at a time). They're great for a quick reward and at only about 4 calories a piece, there's not much danger that your dog is going to put on unwanted pounds, (however I wouldn't suggest that you carry them loose in your pocket or purse they smell strongly of garlic I keep 'em in a zip lock baggie).

As far as I can tell, the ingrediants are all natural, but only the wheat grass is organic if you are interested in organic treats, I suggest that you check out those made by Wagatha or Robbie Dawg.

Bottom Line: I think that Pet Greens offers both a change of flavor and a change in texture from most common dog treats. The Three Muske-Terriers are scarfing 'em down your furry buddy probably will too.

I was looking for a product that is not made in China, contains mostly meat and does without a long list of unhealthy ingredients. Having older rescued dogs with very few teeth, the treats also needed to be soft enough for them to chew. Pet Greens Treats fulfilled all of these requirements. The dogs aren't crazy about them, but will eat them. With all the dubious treats coming from China, this is a good choice.

We bought these pads thinking they were the pads that turned the pee into gel or dried so quick our yorkies paws would not get wet with the pee. Instead, these are run of the mill just stay wet regular puppy pads. They are even more expensive than the good ones, ugh!!!! Very disappointed in this item, I would suggest they change their name because if the wrong person orders these as we did, they could tear Dry Paws apart because of their dogs wet paws.

I have a mastiff and she is huge. This halter doesn't some to bother her like all of the others and she can be controlled. I recommend this highly.

My Great dane had it chewed off by the time we got done with our walk. she was chewing on the strip that holds the leash as we walked. I never noticed it because she always holds the leash in her mouth as we walk. But the stiching came undone by the time we made it back to the house. The rest of it still in tact just the leash clip gone but I can say it was easy to put on, she didnt mind it being put on until I pulled her to come. It did get her to to come to me faster. Which with her she can be very stubborn with she smells something. It would work great if you dont have a chewer. As stated the dog can still open there mouth and drink water with it on. I have gone with the chest harness the one that clips in the front not on the back and it is so much better because it stops her in the center of her strong spot and I say at 130lbs she can pull when she wants but this one she cannot chew. My four stars is just because of how fast she was able chew through the stitching.

I bought this as a replacement walking collar for my 130# bullmastiff she's a very sweet, stubborn,extremely strong dog. The Holt walking collar is much better than the Halti I tried first because my dog can't rub the nose piece off like she used to do with the Halti the Holt has two side pieces that hold the neck band and the nose band together sort of like a horse bridle, and is much better designed. Another reason I love the Holt collar is because it has an extra piece that attaches to my dog's neck collar. With the Halti, if she rubbed off the nosepiece, she was off leash. While she has tried to rub the Holt nosepiece off, she can't and in the very remote possibility that she does, the piece connected to the collar will keep her on leash. My dog is so massively strong I can't control her if she bolts she pulls so hard my 6'3" husband and adult sons didn't want to walk her either, until we bought the Holt collar. With the Holt collar it's like we've added power steering it's a pleasure to walk her again and she is totally under control.

Simple Solution Washable Cover-Ups, Medium, Pink/Purple (Pack of 2)

I purchased these for my Am. Cocker Spaniel to wear while she is in heat. These are so cute! I like them better than a pair we got by Pooch Pad (also size medium). These (by Simple Solutions) are designed better, with a section of shirred elastic at the belly for a MUCH better fit. These are less bulky since they aren't padded (just lined), but if more absorbency is needed, you can use the liners they sell. My dog didn't really need padding, so I like this non-bulky, really "Comfy" style. The tail hole is just slightly smaller which is also better for my Cocker, but it would still fit any dog I think. The issue with the other brand was that the tail hole was so big that, well, her "girl part" stuck out some usually, which means leakage can happen. On the other hand, she does want access so she can clean herself (I know--yuck!). The Medium is a good fit for my slim to average Cocker Spaniel (about 21 pounds with about a 17-inch waist). She's only 9 months old, but I think she is done growing unless she puts on weight. The Medium says it goes to 35 lbs, but I don't think it would fit if she were that much heavier. It would depend on the breed though, but this is what I think for a Cocker. Disclaimer: I tried these on her, but since she is not in heat anymore, she hasn't actually used them yet, but I can tell we're both going to love them!

UPDATE: After almost 2 more years, these continue to be a great purchase. Very comfy! I think she actually likes wearing them!

My mixed breed, part Basset Hound female dog is around 16 years old and recently has become fecally incontinent. At first, I tried Pampers Cruisers and cut a hole for her tail, but the diapers kept sliding off.

Good product for what I'm using it for. The only complaint I have is that the small which I also purchased, seems to be the appropriate size, but the medium seems to be quite a bit bigger, more like a large size. The difference between them should maybe be a little closer in size. Otherwise a good product.

Dogtra Surestim Low-High Training Collar

I purchased both the 1900NCP and 7100H. Both are great collars.

The 7100H is essentially the same as the 1900NCP except for the transmitter vibration feature, the LED Light on the collar unit is in a more visible place towards the top front corner of the unit, and the collar unit does not have a physical on/off button, rather it has a red magnetic dot where you hold the magnetic dot on the trasmitter (while on) up to the magnetic dot on the collar unit to turn on or off. Also the 7100H is green and black unlike the all black 1900NCP. The vibration feature is great and I figure the SureStim is only 10 or 20 bucks more than the 1900NCP, why not just pay a little more and have the feature for when I'm out with my dog in the cold and wearing gloves.

I have a 80lb, 9 month old GSD and he requires anywhere from a 30 all the way up to 50 correction. The dial goes up to 127. There is also a 7000M which is the same model as the 7100H except it has a low to mid power. I prefer the 7100H because it is low to high, so if there is a huge distraction and my stubborn boy isn't listening, I have the extra power if I ever need it.

I would highly recommend the Dogtra 7100H if you want high end power, vibration to know you pressed the button down all the way, a well built quality unit and reliability in a dog collar.

PRO: My lab has always been a smart dog, easy to train. However I got deployed for 400 days and my family did not have time to keep teaching him and correcting him when he was bad. So bad habits like getting on the table for food happened, and having to tell him to sit more than once. With the Dogtra collar I am able to put him back into good standings with my wife, since he doesn't act up when I'm around (LOL he thinks I'm the alpha male.. if he only knew). I also have a wireless shock fence, but that didn't give him much room to run in the back yard. So I took the flags for that and walked him around showing him the flags and just vibrating his collar when he got too close to them. So now he has more room, and I'm not worried about him running over to the neighbors. I used the collar to shock him once for jumping up on people, haven't even needed it for that issue since. If anyone has anything bad to say about Dogtra I would immediately say they need to learn how to train their dog first.

CON: I was reading some place that the device only has a few hours of use before you need to charge it for 10 hours. That's not true, but I guess that depends on how much you shock your dog. My charge last's two to three days. The "Nick" button doesn't really do anything for my dog. He just gets a look on his face that looks like he was wondering if he imagined getting shocked. If he's excited and bouncing off the walls the "Nick" button does nothing.

Overall I would recommend this to anyone, and everyone. I got into trouble for buying this even though we "talked" about it costing too much, but now even my wife is recommending it to her friends.

UPDATE: About a year of use now. I am changing my review from 5 stars to 3.5 stars due to two factors. 1.) This does not get anywhere close to a half mile range. I would say at maximum (clear open spaces with no obstructions) it will get around the length of a football field (100 yards). That's only 0.0568181818 of a mile. NOT the .5 Miles advertised). 2.) The battery life on the remote collar is short lived! Without use, it gets about 2 3 days. If done properly, I would still highly recommend the use of an e-collar. Just know that this one doesn't give you the range that is advertised.

Besides my dog, the Dogtra 7100H SureStim Remote Trainer is the best purchase I have ever made.

I have a puppy who I have been taking to weekly training ever since he has been 8 weeks old (8 months now). All though he is a super smart pup, like all terriers, he is a very independent thinker with a headstrong personality. When we are training with no distractions he listens and obeys every word I say without hesitation. As part of our weekly routine, I take him to the local dog parks to ensure that he is properly socialized and gets plenty of exercise. During our outings, he totally forgets who I am and will run off in to the woods in search of other people and dogs. My recall commands are ignored and I am unable to successfully get him to come or even listen to me for that matter. One day I was taking him for a walk (on leash) and he saw another dog across the street and pulled and wiggled so hard that his leash and collar came off. Concerned for his safety and upon recommendation of a few other dog owners I decided to go out and buy an e-collar. I looked around at several different brands and finally narrowed my selection down to Tri Tronics, SportDog and Dogtra. In fact, I was all set to go with another brand, but when I went to the store the Dogtra handheld remote felt best in my hand. The buttons are placed in the right spots and the size is smaller than the others brands that are of similar range. This means that I can place it in my hand, extend my finger over the antenna and can discreetly conceal the handheld remote. Both the remote and the e-collar are built solid, waterproof, and look attractive. The charge lasts for a few days and recharges quickly. I get great range and when wearing gloves, I can set my handheld remote to vibrate so I know that I correctly pressed the button. The LED light allows me to see what correction level I am using day or night and there is a wide range of correction levels (1-127). I think it is the most of any brand. The handheld remote has three buttons which allow you to either: a.) make the collar vibrate, b.) send a "nick" or momentary correction, or c.) send a continuous correction (I never have needed to use). The package contains: Handheld remote, e-collar, charger, splitter (allows you to charge the remote and the e-collar simultaneous), lanyard, metal belt clip, and carrying case. The only negative thing I can mention is that the system does not come with a training dvd. I was however able to find a valuable training manual at the following website. ( )

Since I have been using this, my pup now listens to me even when there are distractions. In fact, it only took a few times for him to pick up that if he didn't pay attention on my first command, that he would receive a gentle encouragement. It only took him a few times to get it.

I personally would never use an e-collar to teach a dog a new command, but for commands that he already knows it is a good way to encourage him to pay attention. This has truly helped me to keep him safe and in my control while still giving him the freedom to be off leash and to play and have fun. Remember, every dog has a different tolerance level and those tolerance levels will differ depending on the environment. Never give your dog more than is needed. A gentle reminder is all that is needed to make them come around.

One thing to note: It would have been nice to not pay the sales tax, but I wasn't able to find Amazon as an authorized Dogtra dealer. So to be on the safe side I ended up paying the sales tax and purchasing this at an authorized retail store.

Purchased this to assist getting my wonderful golden retriever's attention when we're out on our daily off-leash walks around the neighborhood. The collar unit is pretty substantial, so I don't think it'd be appropriate for smaller breeds. My golden pays no attention to the heft/weight when I put his "big boy" Dogtra collar on him before our walks. I've only used the vibration function, never the Nick or Continuous. I agree with the prior posters' comments, that this unit is optimally used to reinforce commands the dog has already learned. For example, if we're walking along and my dog stops to sniff something really wonderful (to him) and I walk past and continue up the street, if I call "Come!" and he doesn't immediately react, I give a short push of the vibration button on the handheld remote, and just the short vibration burst breaks his little pea-brain's attention, and he comes running to me with a happy face for a sit/click/treat. Thanks so much for this product. It makes our daily long walks much more enjoyable for both of us. Highly recommended, even though it's one of the more expensive one-dog units.

I just wish I could purchase the 1" optional contact points for the collar so I could have the option of using Nick correction with his longer double-coat. Unfortunately, the longer points only seem to be available from the Dogtra online store, and their store doesn't support SSL data encryption. If you use their store anyway, your credit card info is exposed for everyone on the web to see.

** UPDATE ** February 6, 2012: I did find the 1" optional contact points elsewhere online, and replaced the originals. Whether it's because our golden has gotten used to the vibration-only correction, or he's just gotten more independent now that he's 15 months old and 87 lbs of happy guy,... I have had to use the "Nick" a few times on a very low setting, and that's worked perfectly. It's still a wonderful tool for both of us on our daily off-leash long walks. Highly recommended.

That being said you must introduce the potty properly to your puppy or dog. We put it over the spot outside that our puppy used and then after a few weeks of him using it outside we transitioned the potty to inside the home.

Our puppy was not enthusiastic about using it at first because the artificial turf is not as soft as natural sod and may have a soft prickly feel that the dog will need to get used to.

Here are some tips that helped us.

*Keep your puppy on leash until they routinely begin to use the potty, this way you can limit the distance they can travel away from the dog potty to do their potty.

* Before making them go potty for the first time on the dog potty, get them used to walking on the new surface by luring them closer and closer to the potty with treats and then lure them on to the dog potty surface with even more treats.

* Immediately after they finish going potty on the dog potty surface give them another treat and lots of praise. They will eventually get the point and understand that they need to use the dog potty and doing so means good things (treats) even if they don't like the feel of the surface.

* Keep it clean! Rinse out the tray and artificial turf with soap and water about every second or third day. Just like cats with a litter box, dogs won't want to use a dog potty that is dirty.

I had initially tried the UGODOG but my dog didn't take to it well. He used it but he never did quite hit the spot, so to speak. His hiney kept hanging off getting poop and urine on the floor. No matter how many times I tried to get him to use it right. This is probably mainly because he's large and I guessed he never felt like he had enough space to use it. I also got tired of dumping the urine in the toilet. It got to be very messy and difficult to deal with.

Ultimately, I stopped using the UGODOG because of that. After months of returning to newspaper I decided to give another pet potty a chance (this one), but I knew I needed something bigger. This is one of the few potties out there that cater to bigger dogs. I mean really cater to them. After doing a mock measurement of their largest potty (30x40) I decided to get it because I was absolutely confident my dog would use it.

On the first day my dog used it with no trouble at all. I put the potty in "his spot" where he normally uses it, put a few sheets of newspaper on top just so he would get the point and no problem. He used it with no second guessing. After that, I no longer used the newspaper because he would be familiar with his scent after that and where he went.

I purchased 2 absorbent pads for it. At first, I thought they looked awfully thin and flimsy and wouldn't do the trick. But boy was I wrong. Those things worked wonders. I think I let him pee on that thing (potty) for 5 days in a row before it started smelling. Lazy I know. I'll be cleaning it about every 2 days from now on but had been so busy I didn't get to it until I had no choice but to.

I should also mention that I take my dog out for a morning walks so he usually only uses it in th evenings. So the 5 days I let him use it aren't really equivalent to 5 actual going days. More like 2-3 days--counting in one of the days I didn't take him out at all.

I am so happy with this product. I've dealt with stinky pee smelling carpet, crapping on the floor and awkward trips to the bathroom to dump other dog potties. I'd even tried dumping the urine of previous dog potties in a bucket. If anything, that was one of the main reasons I purchased this potty. No awkward trips. Just grab the absorbent pads, put them in the washer and clean the artificial turf in the bathtub. None of either were drenched in urine--dripping all over the place (gross right?). I let out a sigh of relief after seeing that and my opinion of this product went up about 2 notches, because when I first got it I was convinced I'd got another UGODOG that I'd have to fight with and ultimately would end up not using.

So summarily, I purchased this potty because it works great for large dogs (the larger sized potty) and because I'm not about to keep having pee splash everywhere and stink up my apartment. Even when he used it properly the urine was just ripe. It would swim through the air and my apartment would be stinking all the time and I had to clean it all the time with the UGODOG. That was disgusting. So like another reviewer said, this potty has been a God send. It has for me too. I'm not a particularly lazy dog walker but you can account for your dog having to go all the time. Obviously there's got to be a back-up system that isn't always a huge amount of work and this potty is heaven for me. It's such a relief to have it.

Lastly, I recommend you get at least 4 absorbent pads for the large sized potty or 2 for the regular sized ones for the normal sized potty, so you can rotate them when you're cleaning them. If you have a dryer, you can get away with one set, but if you're air drying them, you'll mostly need an extra set. Depends on the situation I think, but an extra set will likely make it easier in the end.

This item has been a God send to us and our puppy! Our puppy is fully potty/house broken, but we live in an upstairs apartment with a balcony. He was paper trained when he was little and before he had all his shots. Once we put this down outside, he took right too it! This was great for the rains that we had. Lazy on our part to not take him downstairs to go potty, but this is the next best thing. I think of it as letting your dog in the backyard to go potty rather than going for a walk.

A little hefty of a price tag, but worth it in our eyes.

I recently moved to a third floor apartment with my two small adult dogs who are well house trained. When working longer hours i have come home to puddles on the floor as the older dog is a bit incontinent after bladder surgery. I was hopeful that this would work, because when given the choice they will pee on a rug over the bare floor!

It took a bit for the dogs to be interested in it, upon getting the item i put treats on and around the potty and rewarded them for walking on it. The first night they did not seem interested in it, so during their next morning walk i took the grass mat and tried to get them to use it outside. No go, but i figured if i rubbed it around in the actual grass (especially where other dogs peed...a bit gross, i know) they would associate the scent with actually going outside. I also brought a bit of real grass inside to place on the potty.

I came home from work that night to lift up the mat and see that one of them did in fact use it while i was gone! Subsequent days have produced the same results and no puddles on the floor at all! Of course they get their regular walks but it alleviates the feelings of guilt when you have to be gone all day at work and there's no one to let the pets out. I would think that a puppy pad under the grass would allow for easier clean up, i haven't really had a problem without it though. I am very happy with this item!

Our need: we have somewhat flexible schedules, but the puppy still ends up home alone for way too many hours several days a week.

We wanted something more eco friendly reusable than puppy pads so we tried this based on the great reviews.

Other useful info: we've had it for a month during which time the puppy has gone from 11 pounds to 25 pounds. The problems have been consistent though...but, if you have like a five pound dog, this might be fine.

Pros/Successes: none.

Cons/Disasters:

First, it is not deep enough to hold a day's worth of pee so it overflows.

Second, the various layers do not hold together so when he steps on and off it, they all slide around.

Third, it smells so, so, so terrible. We take it out in the backyard and hose it down regularly, but even if you bring it in that morning, by the time I get home around 4, the entire room smells like a urinal.

Finally, the attractive grass-like top? He chews it. There are pieces of fake grass everywhere.

I purchased this harness not so much to reduce pulling as to protect my dog's sore neck from being jerked by a leash on his collar. He can pull backwards out of every harness I've tried that attaches the leash on the shoulders/back. With the Easy Walk, the leash is clipped at the front of the chest and is a perfect solution.

I have tried a couple different harnesses and collars on my small dog the help him walk better because he constantly pulls. The Easy Walk harness is not perfect, but it definitely helped! My dog doesn't seem to really like it too much and it took a walk or 2 for him to get use to the harness, but now he walks better just knowing it is on him.

DO NOT leave the harness on your dog when you are not walking him because he will bite it off of himself. My dog likes to grab the front part with him mouth and chew on it. He successfully destroyed one after only a week or 2 of having it so i had to order a new one. That was completely my fault though.

Love this product and recommend all the time. Even small dogs can pull and putting a regular back loading harness on only makes things worse.

This is such a good harness for puppies who are learning the proper way to walk with their owners. The harnesses which clips in the back in my opinion, actually makes the dog pull more because of the way they feel the tension. However, when walking with this she always has a lose leash and in the event she sees something and tries to run it doesn't jerk her neck like a regular collar.

If you have a dog that pulls I promise this will make a world of difference.

Ordered this product per the manufacturer's sizing instructions. Although it fit's just right for my maltipoo with all the straps set to their maximum, I would have ordered one size up since I thought my dog might be uncomfortable with the strap too tight against her armpit.

Once I had my dog leash trained with this product, I moved her to a standard harness that was larger.

I recommend trying these on in-store for sizing first before committing to buying online.

Canine Equipment Technika 1-Inch Webbing Martingale Dog Collar, X-Large, Black

This is an extra large collar and needs to withstand the pull of an extra large dog! I recently adopted a mastiff who I am teaching not to pull on a leash. She hit the end of the leash wearing a CE martingale, and the metal hardware bent and released her from the collar. She is only 105 pounds, hardly an extra large dog. The hardware needs to be much heavier gauge metal so that the dog can't bend it by pulling.

Well after only a few walks this collar broke (see the picture I uploaded). I was walking my Great Dane (only 100lbs small by Great Dane standards) he is very good on the leash rarely pulls. Then the little metal piece pulled apart. I was left holding my leash with the collar but no dog. I have used this design in the past with no issues but the metal clips are just too weak for any large bread dog.

Bottom line... I would not risk this on my pet... if he broke free and was a runner well who knows what could have happened.

I have a 2 year old Rottie mix who loves her daily walks. My brother gave us this as a gift after he had success with it on his American Bulldog. After trying several other martingale style collars, this one has definitely been our favorite. We have had this for 3 weeks now and are very happy with it. We got an XL and the fit is good and I have not had any issues with it as of yet. Our dog typically fights and pulls whenever she is not comfortable in her collar, as she has a very thick Rottie neck. But she seems a bit more calm on her walks to this point. I reccommend giving it a try as both our dog and my brother's dog have had success with it.

Training Champ Disposal System Unit

I am VERY happy with my purchase of this system-I have been using a flip top simple human small can for litter scooping-it was messy but useful-after reading the issues people had with the Litter Champ unit I was concerned that that would be money not well spent due to the smallish entry system to maintain the 3 seal system-So I opted for the Training Champ It is wonderful-

easy to use,not an eyesore and the tie off as needed for the bag is great we have 5 cats and use one electric litter box and then a regular cat box We use Wheat Scoop multi-cat litter which is biodegradable and now the litter bags are too

-I have had a Magikan for my kitchen (the 30gal size) and have loved that for years-

So We HIGHLY recommend this product

I don't think the other reviewers have tried the cheaper alternative brand, Litter Locker. I used the Litter Locker brand prior to buying this and purchased it for $16!! It worked great! However, I really thought the construction of this unit and the design may be better (i.e. a press of your foot and you can dispose vs. opening the unit with your hands). Lesson learned though, more expensive things are not always the better option!

The biggest issue are the bags. They do NOT contain the smell!! This wouldn't be such a big problem if you could find alternate bags, but I searched on google and couldn't find anything. Yes, I could have used garbage bags or something, but that kind of defeats the purpose of making this easy to use & dispose.

I really encourage buyers to check out the cheaper alternative, Litter Locker, first before spending more money on this. It not only does such a much better job of keeping odors at bay, but it's less hassle and less expensive.

By the way, Great Companions, the seller I bought from, were NOT FRIENDLY nor were they helpful when I tried to return this unit. Amazon, however, was wonderful and saved the day with their A-Z file claim process.

It is. If I could make one change, the extra flap would be bigger so I could use a pooper scooper instead of more plastic bags. I can't call that a design flaw, because they are not representing it to work with a pooper scooper, it is how I am choosing to use it. So I give it 5 stars for being what they claim it to be, and 4 stars because it is not how I want it to be. The training pads are temporary situation in a dogs life, the yard poop is forever. Designing the product to be ok at the temporary and great at the permanent would have resulted in a 5 star rating.

I think it is great that people have had success using this for Cat Litter Disposal and encourage it, however I have seen no reviews for its intended Purpose, and that is the disposal of Puppy Training Pads! I have both cat and dog. Even though I have an adult dog, I leave a training pad out for accidents since I work longer shifts and I may not be able to get home it's nice to know that my dog will use the pad instead of the floor, carpet etc if she can't wait, and there are no other alternatives. Normally I just fold it up and put it inside a grocery bag and tie that up to conceal the odor but was happy to see this available. If people are having success with it for litter then I'm sure it will do the job for the puppy pads. I am glad that it pulls double duty and will probably just buy two, but the Litter Champ was made for Cat Litter and the Training Champ for Puppy Training Pads, not that they are not interchangeable of course, but, that was the original intent.
