Update 11/22/10 I have owned the collars for 1 year now and I stand by my original review. I continue to use the collars every day, but would say the highest level I have had to use over the last 6 months is 25, but mostly I use the vibration option as that is all that is really needed to get their attention. It is a great feeling not having to constantly worry about what the dogs are going to do when we go outside. I have noticed that there is a slight decrease in the battery life of the collar, but considering the level of use I am not terribly surprised and do not think it warrants a drop in my original rating at this time. If the time comes that I have to get the battery replaced, I will be sure to update this review again.
Update 6/29/11 I have owned the collars for over a year and a half now and I recently purchased a replacement battery for one of the collars. I purchased the battery directly from Dogtra as Amazon did not offer the battery. It did not set me back too much and now works the same as it did on day 1. I still love these collars and recommend them to any responsible dog owner. This is the second Dogtra collar I've owned. And I love it! The only reason I bought a new one is because I have two dogs now and decided to upgrade to the two-dog system. Dogtra makes the best collars, they are incredibly easy to use, very reliable, and last forever. And Dogtra has made some really great improvements over the last collar I purchased. It's much easier to activate the collars now. The only caution I give is to make sure you realize the buttons on the front are PAGERS not shock buttons. I found out the hard way when my dog ran away from me and got into the neighbors goat pen. I couldn't figure out why he wasn't even fazed by my shocking him at the highest level. well, needless to say I was "paging" him instead of shocking him. Go figure...he didn't answer my page when there were goats to smell! And thankfully I can get my dogs attention when the collars are only set to level 35 (not 125!). Anyway, I highly recommend these great collars.

Purchased the dual collars for my dogs. One is very sensitive (Lab Terrier Mix, tall/lean at 40lbs) who only needs the collar set to vibrate, a sting no higher than 5. The other is a bully breed (about 60lbs) who we use the collars for schutzhund training. He has a very high pain threshold in drive and needs a reliable collar and the dogtra advanced does the trick, we still have room left to sting where as on many other collars he had no issues maxing it out. He is a tough and determined guy.The collar isn't overly heavy, easy for the dog to wear and the remote is sleek and easy to use (once you read the manual). I bought the dual collars for camping and hikes with my two and it's great so far but had not had the chance to use it yet for long periods of time. Comes in a nice case too! The only thing I wish it had was something to tighten the strap when I am wearing it around my wrist, but I can find something to solve that.
**please make sure you are trained in the use of electronic collars before use, or they will be useless to you and damaging to the dog**

My daughter has two dogs and asked for the Dogtra set as a Christmas gift for her and her fiancé. Now she can let the dogs out and they will listen to her commands with just the vibration setting. The difference in obedience is amazing and the stress of owning two rambunctious dogs has been reduced considerably. My daughters' fiancé is a professional dog trainer and asked specifically for this set and I can now see why he did. The quality of construction of the collars and transmitter is excellent and the batteries seems to last all day or longer. Perfect for multiple pet owners that need to exert more control.Want Dogtra 2 Dog Advance Training Collar Discount?
We have 2 English Springer Spaniels who like to dash across the road sometimes to check out the dog on the other side.I am not having it because they risk getting hit by a car.
We have tried a few of the other training collars and they are quite inferior compared to the quality of the Dogtra training collar.
When we opened the package, we discovered that the collars, receivers, transmitter and cords were nicely packed into a special storage case.
The design of the collar and receiver is so professional, not at all cheap-looking.
Definitely a highly quality-made product.
I love that the Dogtra has well over a 100+ levels of "behavior correction" because some dogs truly are immune to the lower levels of correction.
The tone feature works well too.
A feature that we really love is that there is no on/off button for the collars. There is a little red spot on the back of the transmitter, you swipe it over or near a red spot on the receiver(s) and the collar flashes green. To turn the collars off, you swipe the transmitter in the same way.
We have had the collars almost a month and they are still fully charged as is the transmitter.
We put the collars on to take them for a walk and then the collars come off until the next walk.
The collars are not a cheaply made collar, they are strong and durable. We did like that they were easy to cut so that we could ensure that not too much excess hangs out when they have their collars on.
The transmitter is easy to carry in one's hand, almost ergonomic-feeling. The buttons are easily within reach when needed.
True, this is a pricey collar but now that we own it and have tested it, we have only positive things to say about it and would highly recommend it.
