Premier Squirrel Dude Dog Toy

Our dog won't touch a toy unless it's filled with food. She's figured a lot of the puzzle toys out, and cleans out a classic Kong in record time. I really needed something to keep her occupied for an extended time, and Squirrel Dude is my man. It's similar to a classic Kong, except it has four flexible, triangular tabs in the opening. You can control the "flow" of food--simply leave the tabs as is to make the dog's job harder, or trim them so the food falls out faster. You'll have to gauge it based on the size of the treat you plan to use, and how dedicated your dog is. We like to fill this with smaller treats--kibble, bits of chicken jerky, Zuke's, and broken-up biscuits, so I just barely trimmed each tab and it works great. She'll work at this off and on all day, and sometimes will take longer than a day to empty it. We've had Squirrel Dude about six months--he takes a beating every day and has held up incredibly well. This was truly money well spent.

I bought this for my Pembroke Welsh Corgi and at first, he didn't like it. The food wouldn't come out because it would get stuck in the purple knobs that hold the food in. So finally, I just cut those off and the food came out easier (but it's not like it poured out; very subtle). He was bored with his generic dog food I put in there so I got into chopping up carrots and celery and mixing them with peanut butter and freezing it, and Little Bear goes NUTS!!! He LOVES it! And it takes him a good 30-45 minutes to get everything out. Just as long as its frozen food with some sort of buffer (like peanut butter or Kong Stuff), its one of his favorite things. It's a pretty exhaustive process to get everything out for him, and he's pooped afterwards. He likes it more than his Kong balls I'd have to say.

We don't put kibble in our squirrel buddy, as my two girls will fight to the death over it. I do, however, put some peanut butter inside the opening each morning when I leave for work. Keeps them busy for a good little while. The squirrel buddy is stronger than Kong -my mild-mannered, but very persistent 60 pound Weimaraner destroyed two Kongs -one regular and one heavy-duty. She hasn't managed to chew up the squirrel. Other toys from the same company haven't fared as well against her, but the squirrel continues to survive my ferocious chewers. Ordering three more!

My new 65 lb Malinois is a strong chewer and has chewed the tops off of several of the red Kongs. But these Buddy Squirrels appear to be thicker or of a denser material then the Kong brand. The medium sized Buddy Squirrel is the same size as a large Kong. Unless your dog is well over 65 lbs or has the jaws of a tiger, the medium size may be the correct size for your dog. My dogs have be unable to chewer through these. I cut out the four rubber "prongs" in the opening of the Buddy Squirrel with a box cutter and stuff them with canned dog food. I then freeze them over night. In the mornings when I want some peace and quiet I give my two Malinois the frozen stuffed Buddy Squirrels and this treat keeps them happily occupied for an hour or two. The medium sized Buddy Squirrels can handle almost 1/3rd a can of dog food which is exactly the amount I wish to feed of the canned food. I occasionally stuff in bits of carrot, apple, celery, peeled broccoli stems, fresh ground peanut butter (the other "Skippy-type" has too much fat and will give the dogs the runs) or even bits of raw meat to give the canned food a bit of texture. I believe dogs should have to work a bit for their food as it challenges them both physically and mentally. I have purchased a couple of the large Buddy Squirrels also but they are so big and heavy that I think they are better suited for a much larger dog. I'm afraid to play catch with the large Buddy Squirrel for fear of damaging her teeth. The large size is really, really heavy duty. I don't think a Tiger would chew through those. OK, maybe a Tiger. The medium sized ones are lighter and I feel more comfortable tossing them lightly and allowing her to catch them. Remember that dogs should be monitored with any chew-type toy.

The patch itself is fine. Good quality with lettering very clear. And I haven't found anything else that has both the "therapy dog" and "in training" wording. The problem is that the parches just have the "hook" side of velcro on the back. So unless your training vest is made of the "loop" velcro fabric this isn't going to stick. This company sells its own training vest so maybe it attaches to that. I don't want to invest in another vest since my dog will use the Omega Society green vest when he is certified. So my choices are to attach a separate piece of loop to his vest or sew it on. The size needed additonal velcro makes the patch heavy for a light vest. The velcro backing is too thick to sew through so I am going to have to remove the backing and then sew the vinyl patch on. Kind of defeats the purpose.

Nature's Miracle No Tracking Absorbent Training Pads, 100 Count Box

I was very disappointed in the quality of these pads.

The urine is absorbed into the pad but the moisture soaks right through the plastic liner.

I went through a box of the Nature's Miracle pads in a matter of days.

If you use a cloth, moisture resistant pad first and then place one of these pads on top, that might work.

Or, double up the pads placing one on to of another.

Otherwise, I would not recommend these pads.

I went back to Wee Wee brand (Four Paws): the plastic liner does not allow moisture to soak through.

I have two dogs that are aging and have various health problems; both of them use the pads.

I wasn't sure how to rate these. I have bought these puppy pads for at least a year. These are the only ones I tried and they absorb the fastest, don't leak, and don't smell. I was upset when our store stopped carrying them, so I ordered them online. For some reason this box just isn't as good. They don't hold as much, and they smell. They are the exact same brand, type, etc. I really hope this isn't how they are, maybe I just got some from a bad run. If my next box is like this I will look for a new brand. It's really disappointing, they are normally the best.

This product is absolutely outstanding. I woulld give it 6 stars if I could...We have more than one cat that seem to have problems locating the litter box to pee, and placing one of these in front of the box is all that is needed to give them a place they will seek out and use (instead of the carpet in our familty room). These pads have a very high capacity for absorbing liquid and they prevent any tracking that might happen,,,, as advertised. We have a tile floor, where the litter box is located, so I tape the edges of the pad to the floor with clear packing tape...it helps keep the pad stable when the cats try to 'cover it up' with their paws..It is amazing how heavy the 'used pads' are after the cats have had a chance to use them..And despite the amount of urine that is in the pad, they do not leak when rolling them up to dispose of..and there is NO odor....This product has truly solved a problem we have had that has been intractable for a year or more. Would definitely recommend!

These are solid white on both sides and you have to study them very carefully to make sure you put the absorbent side up, else you end up with a waterproof surface and end up with spills onto the floor. There are better designed products out there. In other brands I buy the top facing absorbent side is white in the center, with a blue trim and the side that faces the floor is solid blue. This serves 2 purposes. First the dog can me clearly see the blue edge to help guide targeting, and second is that having solid blue on the bottom side makes it easy to avoid making a mistake when changing them in a hurry.

I was excited to see Nature's Miracle made pads, no tracking pads at that. Unfortunately, I'm quite disappointed in the product. I have a 3 month old pug...so its not a large puppy at all..5lbs maybe. I figured I could get away with changing them fully once, twice a day tops. This collar has saved a lot of anger in the middle of the night with our constantly barking Pyrenees. It does not hurt her, but it gives just enough of a buzz to remind her to shush until it comes off of her neck.

We have had to buy multiple collars because of our own forgetfulness, leaving it on her when we let the house dog out who proceeds to pull it off of her and use it as a chew toy.

Just make sure that it is tight enough to touch the skin through the fur and do not leave it on the dog for more than is absolutely necessary. I believe the instructions say no more than 12 or 14 hours at a time.

When the contact points are correctly aligned on the dog's neck, it works. Problem is that the collar tends to move around on our active lab mix. It is adjusted according to the instructions, but the point is, a young, active dog will run around and the SLIPPERY PLASTIC collar material just moves all over the place.

Despite the collar not being effective over 75% of the time (because it isn't centered on the vocal cords because it has slipped), our dog has learned not to bark so much. It has only been about 6 weeks and we don't leave this collar on the dog all that much; she is free of the bark collar whenever we are with her. When she is alone then most of the time she gets the dog collar on (depends on if the kids remember). The true test will be if a few months from now when we never put the collar on her any more she doesn't get "collar smart" and bark just when she doesn't have the collar.

I adopted a 12 year old Bassett Hound last year when his owners could no longer keep him. He is a living cartoon character who makes me laugh every day. Unfortunately, he barks at the neighbors when I am not home. He has access to the house, but prefers to stand by the fence and bark his hound dog bark. Thankfully, my other dog has not picked up this habit. I tried a citronella collar first, and it did not slow him down at all. I finally decided to try the shock collar and after some research, picked this model. It arrived promptly, I read the directions, and I put it to use. The plastic collar has a bit of a kink to it from the position it was in during shipping, and I cannot get the little box to stay in the proper position on the dog's neck. I have tried everything I can think of to get it to stay, but as soon as he shakes his head, it is over to the side again. The directions clearly state that the box needs to be positioned on the vocal chords, but it won't stay there! I have heard the dog bark repeatedly while wearing this collar.

My wife and I love pets and we treat them like family members. They sleep in our beds, eat with us, and travel with us all over the world. We spare no expense on the best food, vet care, toys, healthy treats, clothes, etc. So we were very reluctant to even consider a shock collar but our newest puppy has been very stubborn and hasn't responded to the normal training methods. After doing a lot of research we finally decided to try this collar.

Our dog is a 10-lb. 6-month old matli-poo so he is pretty small and thin but he is at least a bit bigger than a yorkie or chihuahua. When we first opened this collar it appeared to be a bit too stiff and rigid to bend around his small neck, however after we adjusted the buckle and trimmed it to size then it wasn't too bad. We can use the quick-release buckle to take it on or off as designed, however it is a little akward to bend the stiff collar band around the hinged metal buckle while you snap the plastic buckle in place, and the fine fur from around his neck often gets stuck in the plastic buckle slots so we have to be careful not to pinch his fur. Once it is on properly then it fits him ok but it is obviously harder for him to sleep or lay down with it on so we take it off when he is napping or in bed for the night.

We read the instructions at least 3 times from front to back, charged the remote for 24 hours, and then installed the battery in the collar. It fired right up with the blinking green light and completed the self-tests just fine. Then we stuck the collar against our own skin and tested the various shock levels to make sure they wouldn't hurt him. The 0, 1, and 2 settings were so mild that we could barely feel them so we were relieved and not worried at all about using it on him. Then the big moment of truth came: we put it on him for his first training session. Wearing it didn't seem to bother him at all and it didn't take long for him to misbehave. At the first sign of bad behavior we called out NO! and issued the warning beep. He ignored us just as before, but then we called out NO! again and hit the shock on level 0. He didn't react to the shock at all so we tried again on level 1 he only barely noticed but continued his bad behavior. Finally on level 2 he immediately stopped his bad behavior and did not return to it again. He didn't yelp, bark, or cry but he did stop his behavior and shake his head a little as if confused. After just a few shocks for bad behavior on level 2, we now rarely need to shock him for real. He has learned that the command NO! is to be taken seriously, and if he ignores our command then we give him a warning tone and it turns him into an angel. So the collar really does work, and it is humane and harmless, so we would highly recommend it as a true miracle... but there is one issue which is a big problem...

We intended to keep the collar on our dog for somewhere between 4-6 hours each day during his most active periods. We would only need to issue a warning tone or shock maybe 3 times throughout the day and the rest of the time the collar would be turned on but idle. The instruction book says that if you leave the collar turned on continously then the collar battery will last about 2 weeks. This was fine with us, but in our case the first collar battery which came with the unit died after just 2 hours of use. The light on the collar goes from blinking green to blinking red to warn of a low battery, and then just a few minutes later it goes to solid red and the collar shuts off indicating a dead battery. If you turn it off and back on a little while later you might get a few more minutes out of the battery but then it dies again. So we figured that our unit was shipped with a bad battery, maybe from sitting in a store warehouse too long. I called the manufacturer and they were super nice. They sent me a whole new unit along with a prepaid return shipping label for the old one. The new unit arrived and looked just like the old one. We anxiously charged it and tested it as before with good results, but then the collar battery died again after just a few hours of use.

Now I must say that I am a very technical person. I often build and repair my own electronic devices so I know a lot about these things. I am not someone that puts the batteries in backwards or has trouble charging products. After seeing the second collar battery die so quickly I went back and read all the instructions yet again to make sure I wasn't missing anything. I checked the battery and collar several times for any defects. I searched the web for any similar problems. The only thing I found was a tip on how to modify the collar battery holder so that you can replace the battery yourself instead of buying their expensive replacements. So I modified my battery holder as shown, which was very easy, and then I purchased a dozen high quality photo batteries which are specifically designed for professional cameras and dog collars with a high power drain. The new batteries arrived and I tested them each before using them every one was fully charged. The modification worked great and the collar fired right up with the new battery in it, but once again the new battery only lasted about 2 hours. I cycled through 7 more batteries, all of which were brand new Energizer brand, but all of them died after just 1-2 hours of use. And I am not talking about a lot of beeps or shocks here. We would only get maybe 2 warning beeps out of it in the 1-2 hour period and then it would be dead. Most of the time we never even used a shock at all.

So we have now tried two brand new units and roughly 10 different batteries, and the collar itself works wonderfully well when it works, but the batteries die in just a few hours of idle use. This is totally unacceptable but I had to wonder why more people are not complaining. Other people talk of days, weeks, or even months before their batteries die. So I called the manufacturer back again and they are sending me out a new factory battery for free to try in this second unit. If it lasts a long time then maybe we just got really unlucky and had 10 bad batteries in a row, but somehow I think the collar is too blame. Perhaps a small percentage of units have a short which drains the battery too fast, and if so then I will exchange my collar a third time and hope for the best. But if the new battery doesn't do the trick and the third exchange fails then I will go for a refund and buy a different brand. We are really sold on using this type of product if it will only work for more than 1-2 hours per battery. I will update this review when we find out what the answer is.

Update:

I just received a new replacement battery from the manufacturer. We installed it and turned the collar on then immediately put it on our dog for the evening. It worked great for about 4 hours but we only had to press the warning tone button 4 times and we never used the shock feature at all during this period. I did notice the low battery indicator coming on near the end of the 4-hour period but it was still working when we removed it. We turned off the collar and removed it from the dog when he went to sleep. The next morning we turned the collar back on and put it on the dog when he woke up, but it only lasted about 1 hour and then the battery was completely dead. So a brand new battery only lasted a total of 5 hours which included only 4 warning tones and no shocks. This is very poor battery life and is not even close to the 2-week average life which is mentioned in the instruction book. And a new battery normally costs about $10 so this would cost $2 per hour to use the collar not to mention you would have to replace the batteries all the time. No thank you. We really like the way the collar fits and works when the battery is good, but the battery life is just way too short and replacements are not cheap so it is going back for a refund. We will look for a different brand with better results.

This product has two problems. One,the collar is very rigid. I have a 11 lb. yorkshire terrier that has a small neck. When you adjust the collar that small it becomes oval, not round and leaves gaps around his neck. I have to buckle it too tight to even get contact on his neck. It ends up choking him. Two, the collar itself is not rechargeable and you need to special order batteries for it. Also have to make sure that you turn it off when you are done, otherwise you'll get very little use out of each battery. I have two Innotek collars for two large dogs and these are fully rechargeable, waterproof and you can use any collar you want (have to make holes in it). I wish Innotek would make something this small.

This is a very nice collar. The remote is rechargeable and with a simple mod generic batteries can be used in the receiver.

It looks like high quality construction and the buttons are ergonomically different so you can tell which is which without looking at them. It has only three buttons, good tone, bad tone, and stimulation. The stimulation is controlled by a dial.

I self tested the collar and could feel level one. Level two would definitely make me comply. Why do they need waterboarding when they could get the job done with electric collars?

I have this collar and the Innotek SD-70 lap dog trainer. While the lap dog trainer comes with a dvd, the Petsafe comes with a pretty good manual.

This just has a better look and feel to it that the boxish Innotek. The stimulation feels similar. The Petsafe level one is a bit more subtle than the Innotek. Level 4, the max on the Innotek, is stronger on the Petsafe. Frankly I don't even want to think about higher than level four on bare skin. I was able to tolerate all the way up to level 8 through clothing.

The unit looks like it could take some moisture. I like that it has a flashing light on the transmitter and the receiver so you have an idea

if it's working or not.

It's a good starter unit with minimal levels and range. Also this has a bit more range than the Innotek.

I've since moved on to Dogtra and Tri-Tronics and have used the Sportdog Field Trainer 400. I stopped using Sportdog as I felt the stimulation was too harsh. Tri-Tronics Flyway G2 has a small enough receiver that it can be used on a small dog and that's what I'm using on our smallest dog. I'm using a Dogtra 282 NCP on our slightly larger chihuahua mixes and consider those units to be superior in every respect to the Petsafe offering. Also the tones I felt were a waste and not sure a dog knows the difference between a good tone and a bad tone. The Dogra has a page function which is a vibration however I don't use it as it can freak the dog out more than a nick.

After the initial battery ran out in this product, I purchased a new one. About 5 minutes after I turned the unit on and it began flashing red, then went to a solid red light on the unit. Thinking it was simply a bad battery, I purchased another one. The same thing happened. Contacting support resulted in me being told that for $45 they would replace the unit.

Save your money and buy something else.

It's ironic. Petsafe has a great little training collar here... almost. It fits our small dog well, and it works great ... for about 3 hours. Then the battery is dead. Problem is, the batteries cost around $10 each. Nice. So your dog training with this collar works out to be about $3 an hour, which is absolutely ridiculous. Because of the horrible battery life, I have to recommend against this product. As expensive as it is, they should have put a little more engineering into the battery and collar arrangement. The fact that the battery is not rechargeable, expensive, and short-life means this product is a definite, definite, DO NOT BUY.

It sure is a good thing I checked amazon.com for dog creates before spending almost twice as much at a major pet store! This crate is perfect in every way. It's very well made and the price can't be beat. The bottom plastic tray can be easily removed for cleaning and the crate collapses very easily. It's pretty easy to open and close with the double sliding locking mechanism, and it comes with a partition so it can grow with your puppy. I can't imagine housetraining our now-five-month-old puppy without it! We love this create, and so does our puppy.

Update 1/2011: This crate is still standing strong and has proven itself to hold up against a strong dog, us bumping up against it, moving it, collapsing it, and cleaning it. It's perfect!

Update 10/2012: This crate is still holding up after several moves and a few dogs! It shows no signs of wear and still works perfectly. I'm pregnant and it's still very easy to use and move.

I watch my neighbor's toy dog everyday when I am not traveling. I like to tell people that we have a "joint custody" arrangement. She has a large crate at her home for the dog to spread out in, but since she chews on things (the dog, not my neighbor) I needed a little one for the times when I leave the dog alone in my house. Also, she needed a travel-sized crate for car trips.

When I found this dog crate on Amazon I was curious as to how well made it could be for such a low price (I got the smallest one, 18x14x12). When it arrived the next day I was really pleased with how easy it was to set up. No tools, no wing nuts, just lift the sides up and snap it together. It is perfect for my needs. Bella, a little Yorkie, is fully grown and can stand up in it just fine. I now have a fleece liner for it and sometimes she walks in there on her own and hangs out in her little house. I have added photos of her in the crate under "Customer Images". I am very pleased with this purchase.

I recently purchased the 42x28x30 crate for my 4 month old German Shepherd. He was quickly growing out of his smaller crate as he is already over forty pounds. I was unsure before ordering whether this would be a sufficiently sized crate for my dog when he is mature. I will tell you we joking call this his condo because it is huge. I am 5'3" and 110 lbs. and me and my dog could fit in this crate (we actually did lol!). Plus the free divider makes it great as a training crate. If you are considering a crate for a large breed dog like a German Shepherd, this is a great crate for your dog. It is also very sturdy and easy to set up. I am so happy that I saved money and got a great crate!

I bought this for my Chihuahua/Terrier mix, and she fits perfectly into the smallest size, with enough room to stand up. I put it together in 30 seconds, and it is very easy to use. However, the smaller crates come with only one latch, and my dog has now figured out how to open the gate easily, as the sliding bar only needs to be pushed out and to the left. (I have a video of this on Youtube, search for "johnnyma45" and watch "Izzy breaks out". We use a little suitcase padlock to keep the door closed. Overall happy, just wished the latch wasn't so easy to open by the dog.

This crate was a replacement for a "portable cloth crate' that I had for my "little re-decorating instigator". We absolutely need the crate because, he honestly feels that, it is HIS job alone, to inspect EVERY inch of our house, when we are not home. And even though HE won't admit to it in front of other dogs, he hates thunderstorms and firework. So, for US,,,The crate also comes in handy, when he "freaks" during a thunderstorm. Being in the crate during a storm, helps to calm him, and lessens the stress, on all of us involved. We only use the Crate, for short periods of time, when we are not going to be home I for one, don't ever suggest a dog be kept in a crate, for an entire day. It's just not a fair thing to do to a dog. If this is the case say while you are at work during the day, have a neighbor or somebody that you trust, come over and let the little guy out, for a short break, ***(like I said,,,,this is just MY opinion).

For us, the "portable Cloth Crate" was nice, and also very easy to use and to travel with. BUT,because our little guy has, the ability to use his arms, like a pro tennis star, he ripped the screening off of the inside of the front door flap rather quickly. To help remedy this situation, I purchased fiberglass screening, and stitched a new piece of screen, onto the inside AND the outside of, that zippered door flap. This new Flap, lasted for MAYBE a WHOLE, 3 months.It was then that, I knew that, the little fella was on his way to an escape of EPIC proportions! And that, my somewhat, neatly kept home, would soon become, a dreadful mess! Why? He will come up with all sorts of stories,,,,his favorite chewy or toy, or something of that nature, could not be found (blah, blah, blah,,,he has a tendency to over exaggerate on what REALLY took place, while we were away ;o} ) All to often, this would, necessitate in him absolutely NEEDING to getting out of that crate, and finding "it", by himself. Of course this is showing us undying love, simply by saving US the trouble, of having to help HIM, in finding it! He's smart,,,what can I say, but his stories and excuses are getting a bit ,,,well,,,,"used" up and old. As I said, it was only a matter of time,before the next escape came,,,tick,,,tick,,,tick went the clock.

And so, this brings us to THIS wonderful All METAL crate! Not only was it fairly inexpensive, but very stealth as well, for a larger dog crate. And, that is because, since the crate itself folds and ships flat, it can be folded back into it's original, small, flat, compact size in no time. Leaving it perfect for, extremely ease of use, when packing for travel. It ships in a flat box, it folds back into, a rather flat format. Just lay down the ends, and then the sides, in their easy to figure out format, and it folds up, all while leaving the plastic tray, inside of the crate. Once you have it folded up, just place it on the bottom of your trunk. Then, you can place your other items, right on top of it. Luckily for me, it was actually a bonus that I had tried the cloth crate first,,,and here's why: If you have one of these, DON'T THROW IT AWAY! Take the measurements of your CLOTH crate, and then find a similar size metal crate. Because of the way the soft crate was made, it had large zippered end panels. Because of these, I was now able to put the metal crate INTO the soft sided cloth crate, and make the metal one somewhat "camouflaged", in my living room. Plus with the cover over it, it makes him less afraid of the thunder storms. And because the soft one came with a awesome carry bag, I used the carry bag, to store and carry, the folded up metal crate when traveling nothing went to waste on the soft crate, except that darned screen door (which I cut off)!

The metal crate itself, is a much better, and much needed, totally WONDERFUL, well made piece of doggie equipment! it's a solid and safe place for your pup when you cannot be there for him. The sides lock into place, the door has a sliding latch that stays in place,,,it really is just an all around great crate to keep our little "Houdini re-decorator", in a safe spot, when we cannot be home with him, or take him with us .

***HINT for sizing*** depending on WHAT "Dog Expert" you are listening to, on that particular day,,,, all too often, they suggest a crate that keeps your dog somewhat cramped area. We liken this to be: sort of like a "Goldilocks Fortress" not too big and not too small. Our pup is a Sheltie, he stands about 15 inches at the withers, and weighs 17 pounds. The 30x19x21 was really a perfect fit for him, because we like him to have the ability to stand up, stretch a bit and turn around as needed. To us, it is just seems very mean, to stick a dog into a box, that they cannot move in. Simply because, this type of small spaces, it can cause cramping and make the dog, to become, leery of the crate. Which can then turn into: your pup, not wanting to use his crate, at all. And really,,, if your dog is a snooper, isn't it better to keep him safe when you are not home? We have tried all sorts of different sizes for different dogs over the years, and we have found that, Get a crate that they can move around in and you will find a happier dog when it comes time for: "In the Crate". And, because this one is collapsable, it stores away easily if needed, so you don't necessarily SEE the extra size, when it is not needed; (the plastic crates that come apart, only store inside of each other, and take up a lot of real estate in your home or car. So, yes, I would highly suggest this crate. In the end, I give it four stars because, it would have been nice to have a carry bag come with it, for ease of use when traveling. I still love it though! Absolutely terrible product. The end caps fall off when the dog runs. The volume went out and it costs $40 to fix, and they claim to be water resistant but I do not believe them. To turn them on or off you rotate the end cap and they never match up. Buy the tritronics one for $100 instead..

This unit is controlled by a motion sensor in the unit. The mode is set by a physical switch on the unit (not by a remote).

I got this for $31 shipped on Amazon, when it was $79 everywhere else. I wanted an inexpensive beeper since I have never used one, I didn't know how the dog would react. This beeper has alot of features for the money, I have used it on 4 weekends hunting, and it has worked great. The dog hated it at first but got used to it. I will say it is definately worth the $31, I think for $79 I might shop a little harder and maybe upgrade for a few extra bucks.

Premier Busy Buddy Puppy Waggle Treat Dog Toy

Now have this toy Premier Busy Buddy Puppy Waggle Treat Dog Toy, Extra-Small (Colors Vary) for over 6 months and it is very sturdy has held up very well. I actually have the Small size and my dog is almost 17lbs. I find this size to be perfect for her.

I use it to give my dog her lunch or dinner if we are going to be away during those times. Keeps her busy and she gets fed at the same time. Of course it does not work with all sorts of dog foods. You have to have a dry kibble that is on the small side, but again, can't be too small or it will come out easily and therefore create no challenge for your dog. But if you find your dog's food just slightly too large, there are small rubber pieces right inside the opening that can be snipped off with a scissors to make the opening larger. Just snip one piece at a time and test it.

I do like that this is a durable toy, but I was also a little disappointed that once the food is gone my pup had no interest in playing with it. So good for feeding/treating but nothing more for my girl. This is probably a toy better seen before buying to see if your dog's food is going to work with this otherwise you will have to go out and find the right size treats for it but hey, that's not bad either:)

As a dog trainer I frequently try new products. Premier makes some of the best thought out interactive toys on the market. I stock this toy for use with clients' dogs who eat too fast--it makes meal times play time, too! Using the dog's regular kibble allows the dog to get a big "pay day" when the toy is tossed. Any dog must be supervised when playing with a treat toy like this one, and the toy should be put away right after the food runs out! Great product.

Great toy for a new puppy. My little Morkie loves hers. She hasn't quite mastered it yet but loves to chew on the center portion. Soft rubber and light enough for a 4lb puppy to carry around. The treats have to be really small to fit the Xsmall size but that is expected. Quality of product is very strong and durable. Made with the young puppy in mind.

I bought this toy for my new Pomeranian puppy. He chews on it as hard as he can to get the treats out, but no pieces have even frayed off yet. The material it's made out of is very durable. The only thing I noticed is if you buy the treats that come with it, it's almost too easy for him to get them out. I've started breaking up Alpo treats and using them. That way it's more of a challenge and it keeps him entertained longer. Overall, this is a great toy, and I think it will last a long time!
