THE ROYAL PET COMPANY THAT MAKES SPOTTY DOG HAS BEEN EXTREMELY RESPONSIVE AND PROVIDED EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY ARE EVEN CHANGING THE PACKAGING. For now if you receive an originally packaged and rolled product you can flatten in out with you hair dryer OR soak in hot water in the tub. It worked perfectly and I can't say enough about how well the Spotty Dog Training Place works.

I love my Spotty Dog Training Place that I originally purchased! Everything was well made and fit together perfectly. The plastic coiled turf layed flat and perfectly fit the intended tray. I could not of been more thrilled, until, I ordered a replacement mat.

These are packaged folded in half lengthwise and then rolled almost like a throw blanket you see rolled and packaged. They then put a cardboard belt around it and staple it to be sent to retailers.

Herein lays the problem. Because the replacement mat is made of plastic coils it has a shape memory. Upon taking my spotty dog replacement mat out of its packaging it was a crumpled stiff folded mess. It was holding and memorizing the shape it traveled in. I imagine it sat in cold warehouses etc and further memorized the rolled and folded shape.

I was pretty discouraged because I love the actual original Spotty Dog Training Place and how true the fit was of all the elements. I decided to take my replacement mat and put a piece of plywood over it and the set a rubbermaid container FILLED with BOOKS about the same size as the mat on top of it to flatten it out.

After 72 hours of constant pressure by weighted plywood it was more flat but not completely. The center line fold was still apparent and the edges curled and a few wrinkles remained. It would not fit nicely on the training place.

I called the manufacturer who has asked for photographs. Oh good. No offer to send me another one right out or refund any money. Just given a task of photographs, which I will do.

Best Solution: Finally I took my hair dryer on high and held it close to the mat and heat flattened for about 15 minutes. This did work. The fit is still not as true as the original mat that came with the training place but with continued work I am sure I will get it right.

So in short, this potty system is fabulous but the replacement mat leaves much to be desired in how the product actually arrives at your home or retailer.

I hope others find this solution of heat flattening their replacement mat helpful and do not have to throw out something they paid good money for.

This puppy pad is coiled rubber rather than fake turf. They work well and our dogs like them better than the turf type that seems more soiled and harder to clean. Liquid runs through the coils into a pad placed underneath. Solids sit on top for easy pick up and disposal in the toilet. The dogs do not chew it. They are easy to rinse off and drip dry quickly. We have several on hand so some can be drying after washing.

I was happy with the product itself in terms of size and pricing. However, I purchased it to replace some faux grass that we used to train our puppy. The texture is not very similar to grass and our 1 year old will not use iteven though we placed it in the same bottom container and in the exact same spot as the previous faux grass. The package boasted that it is sprayed with a product to attract dogs, but we haven't found that to be the case.

Venture Series Additional Training Collar

This is an upgraded, and downsized Yard and Park collar. I use it on my clients dogs ,and it works ok.I use about three collars a month.

The recharge pins are very small! and the second time I tried to plug it in, no go, use a tweezers to fix.

I like the yard and park becuase I can hear the tone button, on this collar only the dog can hear it.These are line of sight collars, if the dog has his butt to you the collar does not get the signal, I want to be sure I have called the dog with sound before I punish. so I miss the noisy button.

The on /off button is touchy, a client and I spent 15 mins trying to get the collar on, again a cheap collar.

My old yard and parks re bigger, heavier and out of date, but the clients like the big on /off, sound and the roll dial. If the yard and park comes back down to $150, its the better collar for a dog over 20 lbs.

Under 20 lbs , thi is s a lighter collar.

This collar charges in 4 hours, YP in 7-8. Do not over charge the collar! or the handset!

I was told by the sales clerk that the reviews werent that great for this product, but I went ahead and got it anyway knowing that I could give it back if it sucked.

But it was exactly what I was looking for. I had been training my dogs best I can, but sometimes they just needed a nudge for them to pay attention to me. & this is exactly that.

Your dog should already be familiar with the commands, this just enforces it, when you aren't close enough to do it yourself.

Now I can take them on walks in the neighborhood, without leashes, their happy, I'm happy.

About the battery life: they last pretty long, I think it's been 2-3 weeks since I last charged the collars, thats with daily usage couple times a day. Now I'm pretty good about turning them off when not in use. I wish that the collars didnt have to be manually shut on & off, but maybe their future products will have that feature.

The add on collar is great, the remote is setup to have 1 side for 1 dog, and other side for other dog.

Great product, worth the money esp since the alternative was obedience school which is way more expensive.

This works very well. I have a dog that barks at people and dogs and run to them. He also gets nervous and barks in the car. I used this collar to train him (make sure to use it correctly zap your dog when he doesn't listen to you, not when he does something he is not supposed to do) and worked immediately. He was smart to listen to me whenever he has his collar on (and when he knows it's on!), but soon he figured out how to sort of turn it off..He started shaking his neck so that the it doesn't touch his skin properly. Once he shakes his neck, it doesn't work any more. If you have a smart dog, you need to be smarter than your dog.

I just started using this for windows when I want to give a very high rate of reward with few calories and no chewing involved. My dog loves it. Received as a gift for a schnauzer puppy two years ago. I laughed but willing to try it as I hate barking dogs. I just rang the bells consistly each time I took her out. She accepted it right away. This product arrived just as described -in fact it's a little better looking then I expected. My puppy is beginning to learn and once in awhile uses the bells. My cats are actually a little better about it. It will take consistency like all puppy training but when I'm in another room and the puppy goes to the door it will be extremely helpful.

I bought this close to 4 years ago at B.B&B when my dog was abt a year. I had fully trained her, but was really feeling guilty that she would hold her pee for 10 hrs while at work.

For a week, she rubbed herself on it , thinking its a toy. Finally got it, I would just place her on it, say "pee, pee", as that's the command I've always used while training her. She is a pro now.lol

The training dog leash works well when placing it on the pet's head (behind his ears) as Ceasar does in the Dog Whisper TV shows. When it slips down around the neck it is not as effective. We constantly have to move it back up on his head. It had no directions indicating the correct way to place it

First of all, the tons of complaints you read about in the reviews are all true. To make a long story short, there is NO customer support. You have a problem and you are just screwed.

As well as no customer service, this thing is junk. Biggest problem is the collar with its little plastic cover over the LEDs, on/off switch, and DC Jack for charging. This cover is held on by two itty-bitty little screws that don't even have an insert of brass with threads; it's just screws into plastic. In order to charge the unit or just turn it on or off you have to remove these itty-bitty screws. How long do you think this is going to go on before you lose one of the screws or strip out the plastic threads? Worst design I have ever seen in my life. Obviously not built to last a life time. The strap on the collar is very thin and the hole I used started to rip out with only part of a days walk. I also found out that even though it states on the box that the collar is waterproof, it is not and the company will even tell you "no, it's not really waterproof". Aren't there laws against that?

The transmitter is very big, won't fit in any pocket and is very inconvenient and cumbersome to use. The two rows of tone and shock buttons are very close and I find it very hard to keep an eye on my dog and at the same time hit the right button. I couldn't understand why I was getting no response from the dog but then realized I was pushing the #2 shock button and not the #2 tone button. That is how I found out that the shock buttons weren't working. I strapped it on myself to see what the dog was getting. #1 & #2 shock buttons do nothing! A couple of times I think I could feel #3 but #4 did work a little. I have a very strong headed dog and this does nothing to help with training. I like the tone idea but I'm sure there is a make out there with the same idea only it will work. I have a smart dog and he was starting to respond to the tones so I'm sure this idea will work if you use another brand.

I had to purchase this device in order to prevent two of my dogs from attacking each other. I have a female beagle that is 7yrs old and has been our princess since birth, and when we adopted a min dachshund, she did not approve. The dachshund is very stubborn and does not let herself get bossed around by my beagle, so they frequently fought. I used the collars on both dogs and only used the shock button when they were attacking each other. I would first send them a warning sound (high pitched sound) and then press the shock button (set at medium). It worked wonders!!! They immediately stopped fighting after the shock. I had to use the collars for a couple of weeks and mostly used the warning sound to train them. It's been over 6 months since I trained them and haven't had to use it since. This is worth every penny and the collars and remotes are easy to program and use. The collars are rechargeable and they also come with two different metal shockers; one has a pointed tip that penetrates thick fur to reach the skin while the other has a blunted tip for short-haired dogs. Easy to install either. OF COURSE, I made sure to set it at the lowest shock and then increased the shock as needed. I tested the shock collar on my arm before using it on my pets because you have to know what kind of pain you are inflicting on them, it's only fair! (OUCH, but not as bad as you think...#3 did hurt though but did not cause a blister or any skin damage.) Any questions, feel free to contact me. Peace!

After reading all the positive reviews for this product, I was very excited to use it for my dog. I recieved the product in good condition. Used it a few times indoors and it worked great. Once we went to the lake (which is the reason I bought the collar) and the dog went in the water, it stopped working. This collar does not seem to be waterproof. The "waterproof" part is just a plastic shield that is held on by two small screws to the collar, covering the buttons. Which means that you have to remove the plastic shield each time you want to turn off/on the collar. This is inconvenient for most people. And it obviously does not keep all the water out. I had it tight before the dog went into the water because I felt that it might leak through, and it did. If you are planning on using this around water, then don't waste your time or money on this product. If you won't be by water then it will probably work fine. I wish I could have seen a picture of the whole collar before purchasing because the plastic shield would have been a dead give away that it probably isn't as waterproof as they advertise.

Some positives about this product:

1. Away from water it worked great

2. You can use it on up to 3 different dogs and program the collar for each dog.

3. It will fit any size dog from small to extra large. (I have a Newfoundland and it would probably fit a moose!!)

4. The remote automatically turns off to save battery life and turns on whenever you press a button.

5. Customer service is awesome. I explained my issue and they refunded my money (I had to pay shipping to return) with no questions asked and very apologetic.

I have had this device for just over a month. The activation on the collar has worked on and off, I thought it was me but now after a month & 2 weeks, it completely will not work. Even after following recharging directions. So it makes me think money down the drain since 30 days moneybackguarantee has expired. But I will try with manufacturer to see if they will let me return? My Doberman has a relatively small head, and when she pulled back she sometimes could get an ear -or her whole head -out of the standard collars we used. This one is great and she's never slipped it. PoochPad PoochPant Male Wrap

I have an elderly incontinent dog, so I have tried several male wraps. This one is definitely the best in that the fabric provides more protection against leaking through. Be aware, however, that the sizes do not correspond to the sizing chart. I have a 17-pound Westie, and he needs a medium when his coat is cut short. As he gets closer to grooming time (longer coat), it is almost impossible to close the medium around him.

I love the pads made by poochpads and use them with the plastic tray for one of my female dogs. I tried the female poochpad pants and found them so stiff they were not an option. Thus, I never bothered trying the male version. With five males who mark like crazy I have used cloth male wraps which require an incontinence pad with their heavy piddling. That works, though the material does get wet.

Recently looking online the pictures of the male wrap looked less stiff so I tried one and like it fine. It does get soggy with my males when they are in them for several hours inside but they dry and can be reused a couple of times before I wash them along with the cloth type wraps.

I plan to get a couple more of the poochpad wraps just to eliminate the need to keep buying the drugstore incontinence pads to put into the cloth wraps.

The elastic edges concern me some for the comfort level for the dog and nothing I have tried so far is ideal but this product is a good compromise and the quality of the Poochpad products is quite good.

My black lab-mix was recently paralyzed and tends to "leak" on occasion. The PoochPads work WAY better than the Simple Solution male wrap I initially purchased at a pet retailer. The PoochPads absorb a LOT of urine and stay in place quite well. If your pet needs a little protection, definitely choose this brand.

Suggestion to future customers avoid putting your product in the dryer because of shrinkage. I found that air drying was best.

I previous had another product but this product is much better. The Velcro is strong so the dog cannot easily tear it off. I also have not had any problems with leakage. I have been very satisfied with this product.
