Innotek Basic In-Ground Pet Fencing System, SD-2000

We've had this product for about 3 years, and absolutely love it. We live on a fairly busy street, and even though we have a fenced in back yard, our schnauser always found a way to get out. We even tried a screw type of stake in the back yard however, within a month, he figured out how to unscrew it from the ground. After that, we used the same steel cable to attach him to the garage, he somehow snapped the cable!

It was when we went looking for him after the cable snap, that we saw him down the street, crossing the street directly in front of a car! Our hearts both jumped and we decided right then and there that since nothing else had worked, we were going to get an electric fence.

We went to our local Menards, and found the SD-2000. It was on sale, so we went ahead and got it. Now, don't let anyone fool you, putting this thing in is no easy chore. It took us a few days to bury the wire for it. However, once that hard work was out of the way, everything else has been great! In less than two weeks of following the instruction DVD, our 2 year old pup was completely trained! He hasn't tried to leave the yard since!

Without this product, we feel almost certain that we would have experienced the tragedy of finding our dog in the middle of our street. This is something that no pet owner ever wishes to face, and for that we say THANK YOU! to Innotek.

Two of my dogs were tearing up my grape vines. My wife and step daughter said I couldnt give the dogs away so I started looking for a way to keep them out without putting up an ugly barrier. This system worked great for me. After setting up the fence I put the collars on and let the dogs loose. They got a nice little shock and now run as soon as they hear the warning beep. My wife got home and watched the DVD and to my amusement.. LOL... You're suppose to train the dogs without shocking them first! My wife started the training routine without the shocking contacts on the collars but we noticed (right away) that they didn't need the training because of their initial shock therapy. Now the dogs roam the yard with the non-conductive contacts on (they never get shocked with them on, they only here the warning beeps) and wont go past the parameter. Well the dogs got a crash course, my grape vines will live, the wife and kids are happy that the dogs don't get shocked, so I'm very happy.

Maybe I should have watched the DVD and trained the dogs first but now that they got a small taste of what the collar can do... they stay away from the parameter and I saved weeks worth of training. If they ever get smart and figure out that the collar only beeps I'll put on the conductive contacts and they learn a lesson again.

Just in case anyone is wondering... I tried the collar on around my forearm (with the conductive contacts) and the shock is not painful. It made my muscle jump almost like a small muscle spasm but it was not painful. I would feel safe putting this collar on my kids but my they refuse to test it out and my wife would kill me..

Customer service at Innotek is the pits. I felt like I was bothering in the guy on the phone.

I had to call because my transmitter stopped working. If you read the warrentee, it is not covered for lightning stikes. One of the first questions is "Could it have taken a lightning strike?" How would I know. The wire is in the ground outside. I guess it could have. Try to prove there was no lightning near by. I realize now it was not engineered to survive any near-by strikes so they will not cover the transmitter.

When I asked if there was any options, he tried to sell me a $250 dollar system. No offer to fix it or replace it. Price for just the transmitter $60 + S/H. I am now looking for a different brand system for not much more. That way I will get a new transmitter and new collar and, hopefully, a friendly CUSTOMER service..

Yes, I will avoid this brand.

Simple and inexpensive. Works well.

Installation tips: Layout the wire where it is to be installed and test this. Next, using a flat-blade spade shovel, have the lead person step on the shovel a couple inches into the ground and pull it back towards them. This creates a wedge opening. The person a few feet behind them tucks the wire in and steps on the ground closing the opening.

This system worked great at first. However, once the batteries died in both of our dogs' collars and we had to replace them, neither collar would work at all. Calling Innotek was useless. These collars lasted just over a year and since they were out of warranty the only thing they could do was give us a credit towards the purchase of new collars. They did not care that their product was defective. We will never buy another Innotek product again knowing that once the warranty has expired so does the usefulness of their product.

I just started using this for windows when I want to give a very high rate of reward with few calories and no chewing involved. My dog loves it. He pretty quickly learned to lick rather than bite the tip, I can give him a lick or 3 for a reward, and squeeze extra out for a jackpot. I'm using it for a different purpose than an appetite stimulant, so can't comment on that aspect of its use. If I were to need it for that, I'd be sure it was diluted in water rather than added straight as a powder, the smell of the powder alone is a bit strong.

As well as the product smells, My Brittany Spaniel dont care about it. Hes already being picky eating his kibble which is a Quality $50 bag of kibble. I bought this for my corgi. He started chewing the green coating off the bone "handle" on the top so I had to stop using it. It is also difficult to open and close. Would recommend for a dog that doesn't chew, but it wasn't a good fit for my dog.

I bought this to keep my chorkiedoodle to keep her occupied she was afraid of it, so passed it on to a friend's mini-pin who also didn't like it, so we tried the bichon frese who also was not willing to play with it. Maybe needs to be gifted to a much larger dog.

My dog really enjoys this toy and it's fairly challenging for her!! The toy is difficult to get open the first time and the green disc inside doesn't always stay in place once you've set the opening where you want it... plus, you have to set it down carefully or the treats will fall thru to the bottom which of course makes it less difficult for the dog to get them out. Overall, a pretty fun though though...

We have two chihuahua's that go outside 90% of the time, occasionally if the weather is bad we have to let them use the pad in our bathroom upstairs. I was looking for a pad that would fit our 25x30 tray, but the measurements on this pad also includes the non-absorbant 2" border so these pads are more like 26x26 of usable pad. I wasn't impressed. We've had to double these up and thankfully they are almost used up so we can go back to our old (more expensive brand). The absorbancy is also just average, but if you only have one small dog and it fits your tray I'm sure they do the job.

HDP Agility Training Open Tunnel 18Ft

I received my 18ft. agility tunnel many days sooner than shipping was expected! I could not be happier with the service I received from the amazon sponsored seller.

As for the tunnel, I own 2 dogs, a golden retriever (trained and competed in agility) and a pembroke welsh corig (just now learning agility). I found that the fabric of this tunnel does not hold up well, with small holes developing after 2 weeks of occassional use. However, as the fabric is not nor advertised for competition, and the price was perfect, I find this acceptable. Do not order this if you are wanting a tunnel your dog can bank the turns on, or run through with real speed (except in a straight away set up). But I find it perfect to be a lightweight, easy to move and set up, and perfect for teaching challenging set ups (opening next to a dog walk plank, teeter, or other obstacle). Do I expect this to last more than a year with use 3-5xs a week for short training sessions (10-15 minutes each), no. But it is a great starter set up until I can justify and purchase a new competition grade tunnel next year to practice my banks and longer runs.

This tunnel is great for my puppy (1 yr. old rottweiler)! He loves agility class and now he has his own things at home to practice with, and this tunnel is perfect for him! It is strong enough to withstand his weight and is big enough for him to fit through. Couldn't be happier with this product!

The dog tunnel I thought is a good buy for the money. My dogs took to it right away. It definetely has to be staked in order for it to stand up and not collapse. The openeing wants to cave in some, but that doesn't stop my dogs. They love it. The youngest one forgets she is supposed to come out the other side sometimes and starts playing in it, but it is fun. Definetly is best if your dog's nails are trimmed and filed if possible, because it isn't completely resistent to their nails.

The tunnel is great and as advertised. The store shipped it promptly. One caveat, the fabric does seem to be vulnerable to toe nails that need a trim. Our dog left small holes in the fabric.

Good tunnel compared to others that cost more. The product could be better if it came with instructions/tips in regards to securing it and setting it up. There are some metal eyelets on the tunnel that must be there for a reason, but I can't tell. My lab uses the tunnel and can be a little rough at times, but it seems to be holding up just fine. Great value for the money!

I like these pads a lot but once in a great while it seems that the plastic covering does not keep the urine from getting on the floor. It usually does but sometimes not. I am happy with these pads and seem to be the best I have ever found.

My dog is a 21 pound 1yr old male Toy Aussie Shepherd. He can leap like the dickens, so I got the tall gate. It works well and allows me to let him sit by the open front door without him running out and over to a neighbors. Installation is a snap, just put it in the doorway, stretch it out as wide as possible, push the set pin in and rotate the barrel to tighten. It's not going anywhere until I release it.

This gate is everything it promises. We have a large lab/shepard mix that is less than a year old and all other attempts to keep him contained (minus doors and a crate) failed. This gate fits snugly into the door and stays put, even if our pup jumps up on it. The small door is great for the cat, who hasn't quite accepted the dog into the family yet, but who likes to enter the downstairs at her leisure.

I don't feel like a stout dog, whose head is even with the top of an extra-tall gate, should fit through a "small pet" door. If your dog is over 60 lbs I'm sure you're safe.

these products claim to eliminate most stains, i have some old oil stains on my carpet, i applied the spray and waited a bit, blotted, and it looked the same after it dried. i thought i might have to repeat, so i sprayed again, and again after i blotted, no real change. There is also a fresher dark stain, and even after 2 applications, I still see the stain. This is it, I'm tired of the overpriced shipping, not worth it. Just stick to whatever is in your drugstore or petstore. I feel like their products are diluted in addition to being cut in half as the carpet cleaner formula ran out after a very small pour.

Pet Dreams Classic Cratewear Set, 3-Piece

The picture makes this thing look waaaaaay nicer than it is... the 'cover' is actually a fitted sheet that doesn't fasten on the bottom, so you have to tuck it under the bottom of the crate. The 'bumper' doesn't fit snugly (yes, I got the correct size for the crate I have) & it sags on the sides.... a nice little invitation for my dog to chew it up basically. The mat is Okay, but not the most cushy, comfy one in the world. Overall, I am so mad that I wasted so much money on this!!!!!!!

We used to sleep our Boston Terrier in a travel kennel but we decided he need a little more leg room. We got him a wire crate and a Cratewear set. He used to go to his crate reluctantly at night but now, as soon as he sees his nighttime treat, he bolts into his crate, sits, and waits.

We've always given him a treat before bed but he still didn't seem happy to crate up. Now, even when I open the door for him in the morning he just kinda stares at me. "Um, dude, could you come back in half an hour or so? I'm too comfy to get up just yet."

We're rescuing a cocker mix this June and she'll get the same set up.

The only thing that brings it down from 5 Starts is that it's a little expensive for canvas and foam. Also the bumper straps, which are designed to attach above the horizontal crate wires, are immoble. Which means (on some crates) the bumper doesn't reach down to the pad. Small gripe.

The only nice thing about this package is the fabric that goes over the crate. Even that is too small, but it works fairly well. The bumper pad only has tiny place to secure it to the crate, so it slides down and bunches up. The pad that goes at the bottom is way too small, and it bunches up whenever our dog moves around so he ends up just laying on the plastic crate. Very cheaply made, would not recommend. Would have been much better off continuing to use a sheet over the crate instead of wasting money on this.

Since dogs are part of the family, they should have a place where the family hangs out. The crate cover made the crate look very nice. The whole 3 pc set is machine washable. The bed provides a decent amount of cushioning, though as my dog gets older (she's 7), I may have to add another pad underneath it. Be warned that the cover will shrink. I've washed it 3 times so far and it shrunk a little each time. When it was brand new, it covered my 42 inch crate perfectly. Now, the cover is 1-1.5 inches short, but still better than without.

disappointed in this product. For the price, expected great quality but not happy at all. The bumpers wouldn't stay up and just collapsed. The cover didn't cover either end and I needed one end covered as well for my dog that gets stressed.

We bought this for our german shep and it worked within the first 15 minutes, no lie!! He got the first shock, and he was scared for a bit. It took about an hour until he learned his boundaries and now we're a much more peaceful household. Once he hears the first beep he backs up. We bought this because he was relentless when we were sitting on our couch. We eat most meals there and watch a lot of tv together there and he just doesn't stop with wanting attention. He's actually a number of times come up and taken food right off of our plates! He would also insist that you play with him actually lobbing his toys at our faces. We're not cruel, he is just relentless! He never, ever stops. He had cut his foot once and was bleeding. We didn't notice right away because he just kept on coming and coming with his toys! He never takes naps, ever! So, we got this, he got a buzz once and we actually got to sit in peace and watch tv and eat. The little disc doesn't have to be permantly affixed and the barrier level is totally adjustable so we can take it down when we're ready to play. My couch is clean and we get peace and he's learning boundaries. We're all happier. The only problem we've had was the collar where the 2 plastic prongs are that snap it on, one broke off, but we're getting it replaced, and even without it, he's still staying off the couch and is waiting to be asked to play instead of being a bully about it.
