I was hesitant to purchase this item due to not seeing too many reviews & ratings. However, after looking @ other collars in store & on-line, I had an idea as to what I was looking for. For $14, you can't really beat that price in-store or on-line!! I was very satisfied with this product. It has 3 settings, fast blink, mid blink, and constant on. The fast blink is a little too harsh on the eyes since its LED, but the other 2 settings are great! My dog looks like a light up x-mas tree and it definitely makes walking at night much more safer due to visibility of the lights. Buy it, it's worth it! Thank you!

I take my chocolate lab to the off leash park a lot and sometimes we end up there after dark. As I'm sure you can imagine its not exactly easy spotting a chocolate lab in a dark wooded area. I got this collar so I would always be able to see her. I love that it is water proof. She can go swimming in it, or we can go walking in the rain and it still works. I only have one complaint and that is that our dog has managed to turn the thing off accidentally by shaking her head and her ears hit the button. It has happened a few times, fortunately she's good about coming when called so I just turn it back on, but it is a bit annoying. That being said, I would definitely buy this product over again anyway.

Potty Patch As Seen On TV

I was very excited when I saw this advertised on TV. I looked it up online and was happy to find out that my local Petco carried them in the store. I live on the top floor of an apartment and have a Chihuahua. I've never been able to take him out as regularly as I'd like, so he has been puppy pad trained for years. I thought this would be a nice alternative to the costly puppy pads and also be a little more eco-friendly. As soon as I set it up, my dog was drawn to it. He crawled on top, sniffed around, but did not go. No worries there. I figured it would take a little re-training. Sadly, on this first attempt when he started to hop off of it, the grass top flung from underneath him and scared him. He then urinated on the floor next to it. I knew immediately that this product was going to take more than just a little re-training. It was going to take some additional "engineering" by me to make it work. I had already paid top dollar for the large pad and felt it should be better quality for the price I paid. I packed the product back up as neatly as I found it and returned it the same day to Petco. They completely understood my issues with the product and gave me a refund. This product honestly does have true potential for apartment dwellers and pet owners who just aren't able to get their dog outside as much as they'd like. The price does sound steep, but if it had worked it could have paid for itself in 6 months because I wouldn't be going through puppy pads anymore. Unfortunately, I felt it was very cheaply made and not completely thought out.

I got the potty patch for my little chihuahua but she will not go near it. I've tried to stand her on it and she jumps off and runs and hides from me. I have left it in my room thinking that she would get used to it but she totally avoids it. I don't know if the texture hurts her feet or what. I have another dog that is 60 pounds but I think she is too big for the patch that I have. Besides, I'm afraid that she will eat it. I guess there is just no substitute for good training which right now I don't have the time or money for. I would love to know if it has worked for other people with a chihuahua and how.

The Potty Patch has good potential. The only drawback for us was that if it doesn't get cleaned twice a day, it smells bad in the house. But our puppy loved it and used it. It did not stop her from using the bathroom on the carpet in the house though, which is what we bought it for.

My wife and I were using puppy pads and thought that this potty patch would save us some money. this patch is just plain unsanitary in my opinion. It's a hassle to clean and who wants to clean when they can just pick up the puppy pad and throw it away/ This product did not work for us because we were used to just being able to throw away the pads and not having to clean up the dog's mess and the pee smell lingers.

The collars themselves are very nice so I'm going to give them a good rating, but --WARNING--if you are planning to use with the Dogtra e-collar, you might want to think again. I had an extremely difficult -I would say verging on impossible--time getting the Dogtra unit onto the collar. By the time it was on--pulling with pliers,etc,--the collar was pretty messed up, although still usable. The bigger problem came when I had to return the Dogtra units for repair/replacement.* GETTING THEM OFF THE COLLARS WAS A NIGHTMARE! My husband had to cut and poke and I don't know what else. Suffice it to say, I no longer have the collars because they had to be cut to bits. The collars are just too tight for the Dogtra. Again, nothing against the collar itself--I don't think they are ones promoting use with the Dogtra, although I'm not sure about that.

As I recall the collars--for the brief time I had them, the colors are bright and great and the way they lock on and off makes them a breeze to use. I like the fact that the excess length of the collar goes underneath, as opposed to flapping around on the outside like most collars. That gives them a nice, clean look. They seem to be very well made. Trust me--through all the pulling and cutting we ended up doing as a result of the Dogtra unit fitting too tightly, these collars are TOUGH!

*Also not a critique of Dogtra e-collars; I bought 2 and I think there was some confusion--perhaps on my part. The Dogtra company was very accommodating and easy to work with. Problem solved and I am pleased with the product.

My wife and I have two dogtra 280 NCP Platinum units. I have to admit, it was A LOT of work getting the cinch-it collars through the receiver units. Once you got them on though, it was awesome! The cinch-it collars are so easy to take on and off.

We've had our same cinch-it collar/receiver units for almost three years and they are still working out great. We've never had problem with them loosening up on their own. We haven't had to change batteries in the receiver units yet, I do know that I would have to destroy the cinch-it collars in order to change batteries. For the years of convenience we have enjoyed though, it would be well worth it.

If I were to do it again, I think I would use my hand plane to shave down the cinch-it collar a bit before pulling it through the receiver unit.

One of our dog club members has a Tritronic e-collar and he was able to fit the cinch-it through his receiver unit fairly easily (he used soap but he said it wasn't that difficult to do so).

We've never tried using them as a regular collar though. My dogs always have leather flat collars on for us to attach leashes to.

VERY generic. Breed history is interesting but was still not any more informative than an internet search or a short book.

I got this for my pit who is a little bit of a brat when it comes for corrections. Her metal collar never seemed to stay where I needed it to. Especially when i was training other dogs along with her. I heard from another trainer that the nylon was the best as far a good correction collar. Now we are using it for all of the rescue dogs I train. I love this product. It doesnt hurt the dog but it def gets the point across. Plus it looks very stylish and less intimating that the metal. I also like that it's quiet!

First of all, the tons of complaints you read about in the reviews are all true. To make a long story short, there is NO customer support. You have a problem and you are just screwed.

As well as no customer service, this thing is junk. Biggest problem is the collar with its little plastic cover over the LEDs, on/off switch, and DC Jack for charging. This cover is held on by two itty-bitty little screws that don't even have an insert of brass with threads; it's just screws into plastic. In order to charge the unit or just turn it on or off you have to remove these itty-bitty screws. How long do you think this is going to go on before you lose one of the screws or strip out the plastic threads? Worst design I have ever seen in my life. Obviously not built to last a life time. The strap on the collar is very thin and the hole I used started to rip out with only part of a days walk. I also found out that even though it states on the box that the collar is waterproof, it is not and the company will even tell you "no, it's not really waterproof". Aren't there laws against that?

The transmitter is very big, won't fit in any pocket and is very inconvenient and cumbersome to use. The two rows of tone and shock buttons are very close and I find it very hard to keep an eye on my dog and at the same time hit the right button. I couldn't understand why I was getting no response from the dog but then realized I was pushing the #2 shock button and not the #2 tone button. That is how I found out that the shock buttons weren't working. I strapped it on myself to see what the dog was getting. #1 & #2 shock buttons do nothing! A couple of times I think I could feel #3 but #4 did work a little. I have a very strong headed dog and this does nothing to help with training. I like the tone idea but I'm sure there is a make out there with the same idea only it will work. I have a smart dog and he was starting to respond to the tones so I'm sure this idea will work if you use another brand.

It is easy to press shock button instead of tone on the transmitter,this is why I gave it 4out of 5 stars my medium size dogs very quickly learned with this collar I would think it too powerfull for small dog less than 30lbs.I taped off the shock #s after two weeks and just use tone which they respond to immediately

I had to purchase this device in order to prevent two of my dogs from attacking each other. I have a female beagle that is 7yrs old and has been our princess since birth, and when we adopted a min dachshund, she did not approve. The dachshund is very stubborn and does not let herself get bossed around by my beagle, so they frequently fought. I used the collars on both dogs and only used the shock button when they were attacking each other. I would first send them a warning sound (high pitched sound) and then press the shock button (set at medium). It worked wonders!!! They immediately stopped fighting after the shock. I had to use the collars for a couple of weeks and mostly used the warning sound to train them. It's been over 6 months since I trained them and haven't had to use it since. This is worth every penny and the collars and remotes are easy to program and use. The collars are rechargeable and they also come with two different metal shockers; one has a pointed tip that penetrates thick fur to reach the skin while the other has a blunted tip for short-haired dogs. Easy to install either. OF COURSE, I made sure to set it at the lowest shock and then increased the shock as needed. I tested the shock collar on my arm before using it on my pets because you have to know what kind of pain you are inflicting on them, it's only fair! (OUCH, but not as bad as you think...#3 did hurt though but did not cause a blister or any skin damage.) Any questions, feel free to contact me. Peace!

After reading all the positive reviews for this product, I was very excited to use it for my dog. I recieved the product in good condition. Used it a few times indoors and it worked great. Once we went to the lake (which is the reason I bought the collar) and the dog went in the water, it stopped working. This collar does not seem to be waterproof. The "waterproof" part is just a plastic shield that is held on by two small screws to the collar, covering the buttons. Which means that you have to remove the plastic shield each time you want to turn off/on the collar. This is inconvenient for most people. And it obviously does not keep all the water out. I had it tight before the dog went into the water because I felt that it might leak through, and it did. If you are planning on using this around water, then don't waste your time or money on this product. If you won't be by water then it will probably work fine. I wish I could have seen a picture of the whole collar before purchasing because the plastic shield would have been a dead give away that it probably isn't as waterproof as they advertise.

Some positives about this product:

1. Away from water it worked great

2. You can use it on up to 3 different dogs and program the collar for each dog.

3. It will fit any size dog from small to extra large. (I have a Newfoundland and it would probably fit a moose!!)

4. The remote automatically turns off to save battery life and turns on whenever you press a button.

5. Customer service is awesome. I explained my issue and they refunded my money (I had to pay shipping to return) with no questions asked and very apologetic.

I have had this device for just over a month. The activation on the collar has worked on and off, I thought it was me but now after a month & 2 weeks, it completely will not work. Even after following recharging directions. So it makes me think money down the drain since 30 days moneybackguarantee has expired. But I will try with manufacturer to see if they will let me return? The device worked well when it worked but I was trusting it to continue to work so I could keep my puppy safe. A 30 moneybackguarantee is not enough time, beware.
