I bought this for my 12 week old puppy. He LOVES it. He chews even more on the things I spray it on. I literally sprayed it directly in his mouth and he wanted more. It's like a treat for him. Must not taste that bad.

Tried it, I'm halfway through the bottle, and use 2-3 sprays each time, I would say, at first they really hated it, but then after that they got used to it, in the long run, it just doesn't seem to cut it at all, but it really might depend upon your cat too, b/c one of the two cats I have are Very Persistent Buggers! ... I have a very large and stubborn giant schnauzer 8 month old puppy (who weighs about 90 pounds) and this product works great! I was worried the stimulus wouldn't be strong enough to divert him but it worked great. Once he hears the beeps he stops and turns around. We have him in the back yard but were so frustrated with him because he wouldn't stay off of the porch and leave my furniture alone....enter the wireless pet fence, problem solved. We ran this fence around our patio as instructed and it works like a charm. He went from devil dog to angel at the flick of a switch. Now our evenings on the porch are very enjoyable! Only advice is to read the instructions first and be very careful with the thin wire when stringing it. Don't crimp it or else it will cause a lot of heart ache, once buried however the thin wire is not a concern at all.

Update to review after several days of use: it would be well worth your money to spend an extra $40 and make sure you get a rechargeable collar. the batteries cost $4 to $20 each on this collar, are not rechargeable and they do not make a rechargeable 6volt battery. The batteries go dead in about 3 days and then your dog will be right back to his antics unless you spend a small fortune on a stockpile of batteries.

I would not recommend anyone buying this product. We bought one, hooked it up and the transmitter did not work. WE had to pay an addition 16 dollars that we were told it 'was not company policy' just to return the first bad system. We waited a few more weeks, received a new system which also does NOT WORK. The transmitter is also faulty on the second one. So now we are out our original cost of 70 dollars plus the additional 16 we spent trying to get a system that actually worked. O and dont forget the little fact that the name of the system is "Wireless Fence System". Guess what? Its not WIRELESS. You have to run wire just to find out it doesnt work. Do not waste your money.

My 10 month old Yorkie just came into heat for the first time. I had disposable dog diapers, but they were too bulky (made for actually urinating in) not just the little bit she bleeds. She couldn't even barely walk in the disposable one's, she more less waddled when she had to walk. Then I ordered an XSmall in these washable cover-ups and they were a bit too small for my almost 6 lb yorkie with an 11" waist. According the the size chart they should have fit her good, but I felt bad because they seemed to tight and didn't leave me room to adjust the velcro any. Therefore, I ordered the size Small and they fit pretty good since they have velcro that you can adjust. I just use the doggie pads or even a human panty liner or pad cut in half if its too big. Works wonderfully!! =) Very happy with these over any kind of disposable diaper! Not to mention she likes to chew on anything she can get her little mouth on and she has yet to chew on these cover-ups and she has been wearing them 6 days now. I would highly recommend these for your dog in heat, I would just be careful on what size you order. Petsmart also has the same one's, but they are more expensive in the store than what they are here on amazon. For instance the size small in Petsmart are $18.99 and on Amazon I got them for $13.68. Just remember the larger size, the more expensive.

I have a little Shi Tzu, she weighs less than albs so I ordered the xs first, it was too tight, probably due to all of her fur I would get this one for a chihuahua or similar short coat dog. I reordered the small which is perfect with room to expand with the velcro. We cut a sanitary napkin in half and place the open side facing toward her tail. It works great with no leaks and much cheaper than the liners and more absorbent. My little dog is trained for pads but leaks when she's excited so these work good. Of course if we forget and leave it on too long she pees in it. This has only happened a couple of times but when it did, no problem, no leaks. Oh what we do for our furry friends!!!!

Nice price for a two pack of washable dog diapers. However, they are sized way too small. These x-small ones look like they would fit a squirrel! I had to return and order a size larger. They are very thin and flimsy, however, if you use a women's minipad in them, they could do the job. One of my dogs can get them off, so it depends on the dog as to whether they will work for you.

I like having the washable, reusable doggie diapers rather than throwing money away on disposable. I would suggest skipping the Simple Solutions liners that are sold to go with the diaper and simply buying feminine hygenie pads. Cut them in half and they work perfect and are much more absorbent.

We just adopted a puggle from the humane society about a month ago and her barking when outside was driving me and our neighbors nuts. I bought this at Pet Smart because truthfully I couldn't wait for Amazon to deliver. It has worked well so far. I had to the replace the batteries pretty quickly after getting it but I have no idea how long it was on the shelf and they were cheap batteries anyway. I also had to super glue the snap that keeps the collar on because it broke but now I hardly have to use the collar at all. My dog rarely barks when she is outside and I have not heard any more complaints from the neighbors. I recommend this product because despite the batteries and the latch it has worked great.

My dog is fear aggressive. She lunges and barks aggressively at other dogs and people, bike riders and scooters. I walk her with a prong collar, head halter and muzzle. She is a lab/border collie. Since using this collar, I no longer need the prong collar or the head halter. I do use the muzzle just in case. She is a different dog now. She can mingle with other dogs (on leash) and meet new people calmly now. She no longer shows any aggression. This collar has a warning sound that you can use and three levels of shock. I use level one. I have only shocked her a total of four times and now she responds with just the warning sound. I only use this collar when out for walks and if anyone comes over to the house. This collar is helping her to come out of her fearfulness. You do have to turn off the collar and the remote when done wearing it. The lights on the collar flash every 5 seconds to indicate it is on. Just follow the instructions and they are very clear about turning it off so the batteries don't drain. This collar is an excellent training tool.

Collar turns itself off after an hour or so; nearly impossible to tell if it's on or off, unless you hold onto your dog and squint at the lights. Or push the tone button and listen for it, which just confuses the dog. Taking it back tomorrow after two days. Basically useless item.

I got this collar because it was so easy to put on and adjust. I liked that it was a nice feeling rubbery plastic and came in fun colors. This collar is not exactly "Pet Safe" and not the collar for your dog if he pulls at all. We had the collar 3 months when our pup saw a flock of geese and chased towards them and SNAP! the collar broke and our dog was gone. Happily she came when I called her back, but I know it was a lucky day. Back to the leather buckle collar for us!

The collars themselves are very nice so I'm going to give them a good rating, but --WARNING--if you are planning to use with the Dogtra e-collar, you might want to think again. I had an extremely difficult -I would say verging on impossible--time getting the Dogtra unit onto the collar. By the time it was on--pulling with pliers,etc,--the collar was pretty messed up, although still usable. The bigger problem came when I had to return the Dogtra units for repair/replacement.* GETTING THEM OFF THE COLLARS WAS A NIGHTMARE! My husband had to cut and poke and I don't know what else. Suffice it to say, I no longer have the collars because they had to be cut to bits. The collars are just too tight for the Dogtra. Again, nothing against the collar itself--I don't think they are ones promoting use with the Dogtra, although I'm not sure about that.

As I recall the collars--for the brief time I had them, the colors are bright and great and the way they lock on and off makes them a breeze to use. I like the fact that the excess length of the collar goes underneath, as opposed to flapping around on the outside like most collars. That gives them a nice, clean look. They seem to be very well made. Trust me--through all the pulling and cutting we ended up doing as a result of the Dogtra unit fitting too tightly, these collars are TOUGH!

*Also not a critique of Dogtra e-collars; I bought 2 and I think there was some confusion--perhaps on my part. The Dogtra company was very accommodating and easy to work with. Problem solved and I am pleased with the product.

My wife and I have two dogtra 280 NCP Platinum units. I have to admit, it was A LOT of work getting the cinch-it collars through the receiver units. Once you got them on though, it was awesome! The cinch-it collars are so easy to take on and off.

We've had our same cinch-it collar/receiver units for almost three years and they are still working out great. We've never had problem with them loosening up on their own. We haven't had to change batteries in the receiver units yet, I do know that I would have to destroy the cinch-it collars in order to change batteries. For the years of convenience we have enjoyed though, it would be well worth it.

If I were to do it again, I think I would use my hand plane to shave down the cinch-it collar a bit before pulling it through the receiver unit.

One of our dog club members has a Tritronic e-collar and he was able to fit the cinch-it through his receiver unit fairly easily (he used soap but he said it wasn't that difficult to do so).

We've never tried using them as a regular collar though. My dogs always have leather flat collars on for us to attach leashes to.

Bridle leather quality, finished on both sides so there is a smooth surface against the dog's face. Many are left a rough leather and will irritate the skin of the snout this model does not. Fine quality hardware, not cheap stamped buckles. Fit is as advertised... most important to take dog's measurements and fit to measurement chart. The size you get to best fit your dog may not be the same breed. My German Shepherd Dog wears this "Size No. D Doberman" due to her specific measurements. Ample adjustment is available for a good fit. Would recommend to any one looking for a high quality muzzle.

Einstein ET-400TS E-Collar 3/4 Mile Remote Dog Trainer

I have been using the ET-400TS for over a week. First, I need to comment on an amazingly fast and smooth delivery by Amazon (via DHL) to China the product was at my door within the same week which I have never had happen before.

First impressions of the unit are very positive, especially when compared to a budget remote training collar I originally purchased and promptly returned. The receiver is a nice and compact size and fits well on my Beagle it feels rock solid in terms of build quality and even after being vigorously put through its paces by my Beagle in a forest and scratching at it once in a while, there is not a scratch or dent to be seen.

The LED lighting on the receiver, which is activated remotely, is very effective and ensures my Beagle is always clearly visible at night whether I am walking with her in the city or in woodland. Very few competing products offer this and it is a useful addition.

The transmitter is a very refreshing design which happens to be highly functional and comfortable too. The flexibility of the momentary, continuous or mixed modes including a user-defined boost, is very useful and was one of the deciding factors in me buying the Einstein. The only niggle would be that I would prefer it in a more subtle color (such as the black ET-800TS), but bright yellow makes it difficult to lose if dropped (although there is already a lost transmitter function).

Note that this unit has a vibration function while the similarly-priced ET-500 has a tone function I was a little torn in deciding between the two, but the ET-400 has a smaller receiver which made me go for this one. My Beagle is stubborn and doesn't respond that much to the vibration, despite it being quite strong although after more use and conditioning, I am using it as a subtle way to get her attention and this appears to be working, lessing the need for any stimulation. A tone may prove similarly ineffective for some dogs/breeds. Ideally, the unit would have tone AND vibration options in addition to the stimulation, making the choice a little easier, although this is just a niggle.

In terms of stimulation levels, I have been using level 10-20 (out of 100) with my Beagle and this seems to be more than enough, with the use of a boost very rarely when her prey drive kicks in and goes "all nose". However, after just a week, I am using it on about a level 10 and very infrequently.

My primary challenge was fitting since my beagle has very loose skin around her neck if the receiver is not attached correctly (ie; snugly), the stimulation may not also be delivered properly. Since both overtightening and undertightening are a concern, my advice is to take your time (and some research via instructions and internet) in fitting it correctly. Once you have the correct fitting, I suggest you mark the collar so it can be consistently re-attached with the same tightness.

Since using the unit, my Beagle's off-leash behaviour has changed significantly (she would previously play very frustrating "catch me" games when off leash) and I am now primarily using the vibration function and issuing a command to get her attention. I did not use the "escape conditioning" technique but primarily used the collar to correct misbehaviour (running away, eating discarded food, etc.).

In addition to my positive experience with the product, I also received very good support and feedback after sending E-Collars an email with a few questions.

I can therefore highly recommend the product and the company behind it, who really do appear to be committed to customer satisfaction.

Purchased this collar to train my 9 month old Alaskan Klee Kai puppy to walk without a leash. She is still in the process of learning how to heel, however she now walks close to me and looks back frequently to check that I am still there walking nearby.

PROS:

My dog feels the stimulation at setting level 8. It causes her to shake her head and respond right away. I used the +30 emergency button once when she tried to chase a cat which caused her to let out a loud yelp (felt so bad doing it!). I think +30 is way too much of a boost for my puppy but I can see it coming in handy for real emergencies (running into traffic, etc.).

The light built into the collar is the BEST feature. I have it set on the blinking mode and it allows my dog to be visible at night from a distance. When walking my dog by a street, I leave it on the constant on mode so that people driving will be able to take notice easily as well. The white LED in the receiver is actually pretty bright as well which is a big plus.

The vibration mode confuses my dog at the moment. She doesn't know how to respond to it. I haven't been able to use the collar on her much, but I'm fairly certain that she'll learn that it's a warning eventually. Would've been nice to have an audible tone feature to use as a reward tone to compliment my use of the vibration feature as a warning sign.

I love the way the two components charge. Very straightforward. Pull out the rubber plugs and stick the power cables in to charge them. To turn the device on, you just align two red dots until you see the receiver blinking green. I see this as a positive feature as I'm assuming* this method is used to pair/sync the collar and remote to each other. I'm sure you don't want other people's remotes setting off your dogs collar!

CONS:

There are only a few things that I'm not satisfied about the product. I noticed that the stimulation buttons were not stimulating the dog on quite a few occasions using the smaller contact prongs. I switched them over to the longer prongs and the issue still persisted. The success rate is about 60%, meaning only 6 button presses worked out of 10. I didn't take a star off the review because my double coated puppy does have a lot of fur causing difficulty for the prongs to make skin contact. I cant tighten the collar any further as it causes my puppy too much discomfort (long prongs pushing into her throat). Would be great if there was someway to get the receiver to stay in place on the back of my dog's neck but it will always find itself back under her throat.

The strap that came with the unit is very heavy duty and has a lot of extra slack to make it usable on even very big dogs however it's not very friendly, in my opinion, for smaller dogs. It's a very stiff, rubbery feeling strap. An adjustable nylon collar would work much better for smaller dogs. However, the stiff and rugged strap is ideal and I can see it working perfectly for medium/large size dogs.

I'm a bit worried about the battery life due to the other review here. I will be taking my dog hiking this Sunday at and will get to see whether or not the collar will last me the entire day or not. Will revise the review if I find it to be an issue. Not too worried since Amazon has one of the best return policies to boot.

CONCLUSION:

Overall, I feel that this product is very well built and thought out. The design of the transmitter feels very ergonomic despite it being a perfect circle. Feels like I'm holding a children's walkie talkie device with the buttons placed in the right places (thumb on vibrate, middle on stimulate, ring finger on +30 boost). The receiver is also a good size for my small dog (8.5" neck, 7lbs.) although I have seen smaller receivers on the market. I almost went with a much cheaper electronic collar but I decided to spend more money on one with the right set of features, warranty, reviews, and reputation. Compared to Dogtra and Tri-tronics, I feel that the Einstein products are much better designed, priced better, and just as reliable. I have no qualms about recommending this product to my friends and family.

The battery life is exceptionally poor on this unit. If we put it on our dog in the AM, work, then to kennel for a few hours, then back to work the collar will be dead before our day is done.

We charged it for 18 hours to start.

Another complaint is to shut it off you have to line up the red dots. You have to have them really close to shut off and it is difficult to do if your dog is still in the training phase and not exactly cooperative.

The strength of the unit was not great for our dog but she does have a winter coat on. The longer points may make it much more effective.

I also do not think the collar is for all sizes of dogs. Although we can get the collar small enough it means there is about 8" of collar flapping around which is a distraction. We did not want to cut it off in case we wanted to use it on a larger dog later.

I would not recommend this collar at all.

This product works well, It is pretty much a mixture of chile powder and other things. which are common things that keep a dog out of an area. If you get a lot of rain or run your sprinklers in an area a lot, plan on replacing it on a regular basis. when the ground gets wet, you can really smell the chile powder in the mix, but it isn't offensive, you just think---hmm, that smells different.

I got this item because a neighbors dog enjoys poop'ing in our yard. They don't clean up after him, which is annoying since we have a small yard. The poop'ing continued even after we spoke to them about it. Desperate we got this product. At first it was hard to tell if the product worked. We had some mystery poop that appeared just outside the range where I laid down all the repellent. Then on one sunny afternoon, right in front of me, a different neighbors dog made a b-line for our yard and gave us a lovely pile of goodness. I had just put on the repellent an hour prior to this. Doh! Luckily that neighbor cleaned up after her dog.

I gave it this rating because it doesn't work consistently for all dog types. If you have one dog of concern, this may work just fine. If you are considering getting this I would recommend spreading the area that you are concerned about evenly with a generous amount. We have a small yard so there was enough in the bag for that and then some. It is also very fragrant and it will keep this fragrance for a few days. Kinda weird but it mentions that it has dried blood in the mixture as well. I wonder where they get that from...

This brand of salmon treats have a fairly strong smell. The scent helps keep your dog focused if their attention waivers, however the smell can also be a liability if your dog is so food motivated that it makes him/her crazy.

With wheat as the second ingredient (which dogs can't really digest), I wouldn't give these treat to my dogs. Look for something with meat as the first ingredient (not meal or by-product), and without rice, wheat, corn, flour, or sugar added.
