Smokehouse Resealable Bag

This was the 2nd time that I ordered the Smokehouse USA Chicken Stix. The 1st order had USA printed right on the bag, this one had a USA sticker over the China sticker. In addition, the product looked entirely different. Obviously I am concerned. I pay more to ensure I am not feeding my "fur kids" products from China. If it happens again, I'll stop ordering all Smokehouse products on-line.

I was very excited to find 100% Natural Dog Treats at a nearby pet store.

I bought the Retriever pork skin ~ label and sticker reads "Made in USA"

GREAT!!!

Second, I purchased the Beef Hooves ~(There is not a label or sticker clarifying where they are from.)

Third, I purchased the Chix Mix ~ The label does indeed read in small print on the back of the package, right hand corner, "PRODUCT OF CHINA",

The sticker label on the front reads, "Product regularly tested to insure quality. Lab tested in the USA."

(So at that point, I figured it is made in China and tested in the USA)

Does that mean they test every bag? I doubt it.

I just got off the phone with the Smokehouse customer service department.

Their representative did go over each of the three products I bought.

The Beef Hooves and The Retriever Pork Skin are from the USA.

The Chix Mix is from China. She clearly stated this.

It looks like a great product,

but I am very hesitant to feed them to my dog.

I Googled all the information about the the dog deaths linked to Chicken Jerky Treats from China.

This brand was NOT on the list, but I read enough to be concerned about where they come from.

I will be exchanging the Chix Mix for the Beef Hooves tomorrow.

Wet Noses Little Stars Cheddar Organic Dog Training Treats

I am so disappointed, I bought this on the recommendation of another doggie parent in my training class. However, all three of my dogs refuse to eat this. I tried all three flavors, no luck.

I love to use these since I am able to vary the qty to match the action. For patterned behaviors she gets one but for completion of new tricks she gets several. My puppy loves them, though the peanut butter ones or the sweet potato ones she likes better than these. But she still enjoys all the flavors.

Simple Solution Training Pads, 50 Pads, Extra Large

Our dog is very large, very old, and experiencing old-age incontinence. At night, he will often pee as he's lying on his bed. These pads make things SO much simpler: we lay one down over his bed or, during the day, where he is resting. They absorb a huge amount of urine. Now, no more laundering the bedcover every morning, no more mopping the floor where he was lying.

These are good pads. Nice and large for our small dogs as they tend to miss the smaller pads. Like the two tone as it is ez to tell the top from the bottom and other brands hard to tell which side is up or down as they are very thin and same color and look on each side. It also absorbs good as they used to track the pee from pad to floor. So all around a lot better than the smaller other brands.

These are the only training pads that I will use! As you can imagine, having six puppies to care for I have tried many different training pads and these are by far the thickest most durable that I have found so far. I would definitely recommend them if you have a large dog or multiple small ones, they are by far better than the ones that you will find at your local stores such as walmart.

With 4 dogs,and no yard,I go through boxes and boxes of pads. I have tried many different brands and these are the best buy that I have found. The extra large size really reduces the amount of pads you have to put down. Absorbency is good,too.

We have a dog that is 16 years old. At this point in life she is incontinent. We use this size to cover the main part of her bed and then smaller pads that we have found very cheap to cover the sides. this works out really well.

Our old dog has a great quality of life. Although she cannot see, or hear and has arthritis she still enjoys her walks, dog and cat friends her home, breakfast and dinner. She doesn't have to worry or feel guilty if she makes a pee pee in her sleep.

I am pretty sure it was damaged when I recieved it but I ended up keeping it anyway because I could not afford to ship it back. The remote wouldnt stay charged...it had to be plugged in at all times. One of the collars would not shock at all. On top of that the battery life was horrible. I had to charge them once a day. The connection between the power cord and the remote was bad...it wouldnt even turn on unless you held it a certain way. I was very unhappy with this produce. If I didnt have to pay for the shipping for a damaged product I would have sent it back so that way I could have either gotten the refund or exchanged it for one that worked correctly.

My 10 month old Yorkie just came into heat for the first time. I had disposable dog diapers, but they were too bulky (made for actually urinating in) not just the little bit she bleeds. She couldn't even barely walk in the disposable one's, she more less waddled when she had to walk. Then I ordered an XSmall in these washable cover-ups and they were a bit too small for my almost 6 lb yorkie with an 11" waist. According the the size chart they should have fit her good, but I felt bad because they seemed to tight and didn't leave me room to adjust the velcro any. Therefore, I ordered the size Small and they fit pretty good since they have velcro that you can adjust. I just use the doggie pads or even a human panty liner or pad cut in half if its too big. Works wonderfully!! =) Very happy with these over any kind of disposable diaper! Not to mention she likes to chew on anything she can get her little mouth on and she has yet to chew on these cover-ups and she has been wearing them 6 days now. I would highly recommend these for your dog in heat, I would just be careful on what size you order. Petsmart also has the same one's, but they are more expensive in the store than what they are here on amazon. For instance the size small in Petsmart are $18.99 and on Amazon I got them for $13.68. Just remember the larger size, the more expensive.

I have a little Shi Tzu, she weighs less than albs so I ordered the xs first, it was too tight, probably due to all of her fur I would get this one for a chihuahua or similar short coat dog. I reordered the small which is perfect with room to expand with the velcro. We cut a sanitary napkin in half and place the open side facing toward her tail. It works great with no leaks and much cheaper than the liners and more absorbent. My little dog is trained for pads but leaks when she's excited so these work good. Of course if we forget and leave it on too long she pees in it. This has only happened a couple of times but when it did, no problem, no leaks. Oh what we do for our furry friends!!!!

Nice price for a two pack of washable dog diapers. However, they are sized way too small. These x-small ones look like they would fit a squirrel! I had to return and order a size larger. They are very thin and flimsy, however, if you use a women's minipad in them, they could do the job. One of my dogs can get them off, so it depends on the dog as to whether they will work for you.

I like having the washable, reusable doggie diapers rather than throwing money away on disposable. I would suggest skipping the Simple Solutions liners that are sold to go with the diaper and simply buying feminine hygenie pads. Cut them in half and they work perfect and are much more absorbent.

A seller by the name of Ablackhorse is trying to dissuade me from posting my review of this product that they sold me so I will post my review here. I received NAVY and BLACK, x-small, diapers instead of the pink and purple shown. BOTH X-SMALL DIAPERS WERE TOO SHORT TO FIT COMFORTABLY AND THE SMALL SIZE IS MUCH TOO BIG FOR MY 8 POUND BICHON. The XS size just isn't cut correctly; unrealistic size. Made in China and China has poor quality control. The material is very thin so put a pad in it.

Clean Go Pet Disposable Doggie Diaper, Mini

We use these for our elderly tiny poodle she weighs only 5 lbs but has a very tiny waist as poodles do. We put liners in her diapers for overnight but it's not required during the day. An important thing I learned is this you MUST stick the tabs on a special band at the top of the diaper on her back.. It's not easy to see but it's got a rather dull look to it and is about 1 1/2 in. wide. If you miss the band and stick it to the plastic you will not be able to reuse the diaper because the plastic will stick like glue to the tabs. So watch for that band at the very upper part of the back of the diaper. You also have to push open the opening for her tail but it's there just look for it. We were paying 7.99 at a pet shop. Then I found them at an online shop PetEdge.com for only 4.99. I ordered 8 packs. Even with the shipping and a "minimum order charge" they are still cheaper than the 7.99 we were paying locally (plus tax) and FAR CHEAPER than Amazon. They are exactly the same diaper. This is the only brand I can find that comes in Mini. Don't even try the cloth cover diapers with liners it gets wet every time and they are very expensive. Even with buying the little liner pads for these Mini's they still come out cheaper than what we were paying and SO MUCH cheaper than Amazon. Give these a try if you need this mini size. They fit much better than the X-Small we were using when we couldn't locate the Mini. I'm happy to have found PetEdge to get them at a much better price.

Purchased this collar for my 100# Rhodesian Ridgeback as an alternative to a choke collar for training. It is so light weight, more like a bracelet than a collar. It would only be appropriate in the show ring for a large dog. I love the design idea, it would be nice to switch sides with my dog but still have the control of a choke collar. I have yet to find one in heavy gauge without prongs. I'll keep looking. Overall made well and a small size would be appropriate for a dog under 20#.

Spotty Training Place Indoor Dog Potty

During Colorado winters I am often unable to let my very small dogs out of doors. I decided to try the training grass because my dogs like to shred the disposable puppy pads.I purchased two training place grass patches. The dogs did transition to using the grass without a hitch and things went well for about 3 weeks. I power washed the entire ensemble with heavy soap and disinfectant regularly. The problem is that with ongoing exposure to odorous fluids, plastic will eventually absorb the odors and no amount of cleaning or soaking will remove it. The pungent amonia odor became stronger by the week until I couldn't even change the puppy pad layer without gagging. I worked as a nurse for many years and thought I was immune to odors (this plastic training system is that bad)! I'd finally had enough and ordered washable bed incontinence pads used for adult humans, and they are working fabulously. They are highly absorbant and I can just toss into the washing machine when they become significantly soiled. No more odors! Bottom line, this grass thing is a pain to clean and will eventually absorb so much of the amonia that no amount of cleaning will help. Great concept, but poor materials.

We have had both of our mats replaced because they weren't working. One by one these mats, that are supposed to be weather resistant, got water in them and shorted out. Now we are sitting here with $170.00 worth of something that is going to be an ongoing fight. I think that if you are paying the kind of money you are being charged, the product should not be sold unless it is going to perform the way the seller says it will. This is a worthless product!

I have a pitbull with severe allergies. Her vet had her on prednisone which I was concerned about once reading up on it as it can cause problems with prolonged use of the medication. Some of the side effects of long term Prednisone can be:

1. Ulcers in the digestive tract.

2. Pain and inflammation in pancreas.

3. Diabetes.

4. Degeneration of muscles

5. Unpredictable change in behaviors.

Researching the drug, I have read that one should use Probiotics to combat gastrointestinal disorders which is a side effect of prednisone. I give my dog 4-6 treat a day shortly after a dose of her medication. I read you should continue to give your dog probiotics at least two weeks after the last dose of medication.

She has been on the probios for 4 weeks now, and i see a marked improvement in her stool, which is very regular and nice & firm instead of soft & mushy. You can tell alot of the health of your dog from their stool which will typically be brown and of an even, well-digested consistency. Beefeaters Little Bitz Sweet Potato Bones, 1-Inch, 3oz

Since they love all things potato and sweet potato, I knew the girls would like these snacks. They're a nice small size and thin in the middle so I thought it would be an easy thing to break the individual bones in half. Not!

These are tough, chewy little bones; giving a whole treat to one of our small-mouthed girls might be the equivalent to giving her a stick of gum.

Thus I cut these treats up into little pieces for the girls. They like these bones quite a bit and look forward to them. Larger, less fussy dogs might not need to have their treats cut first.

Be aware that these treats are made in China.

One dog was very pleased the other could take them or leave them. Definitely nutrious for the dogs, small size.
