I am a Dog Behaviorist & Trainer with three German Shepherds of my own. This fits our German shepherd well. We have 4 other muzzles that were a waste of money. With the Dean&Taylor she runs along on 2 hour horseback rides and is able to breath freely and drink in streams. Worried about her catching it in the woods but so far no problems. We slide strap under her collar and it stays on. The leather did stretch after a few months and we just went to next hole.

Simple Solution Washable Cover-Ups, X-Small, Pink/Purple (Pack of 2)

My 10 month old Yorkie just came into heat for the first time. I had disposable dog diapers, but they were too bulky (made for actually urinating in) not just the little bit she bleeds. She couldn't even barely walk in the disposable one's, she more less waddled when she had to walk. Then I ordered an XSmall in these washable cover-ups and they were a bit too small for my almost 6 lb yorkie with an 11" waist. According the the size chart they should have fit her good, but I felt bad because they seemed to tight and didn't leave me room to adjust the velcro any. Therefore, I ordered the size Small and they fit pretty good since they have velcro that you can adjust. I just use the doggie pads or even a human panty liner or pad cut in half if its too big. Works wonderfully!! =) Very happy with these over any kind of disposable diaper! Not to mention she likes to chew on anything she can get her little mouth on and she has yet to chew on these cover-ups and she has been wearing them 6 days now. I would highly recommend these for your dog in heat, I would just be careful on what size you order. Petsmart also has the same one's, but they are more expensive in the store than what they are here on amazon. For instance the size small in Petsmart are $18.99 and on Amazon I got them for $13.68. Just remember the larger size, the more expensive.

I have a little Shi Tzu, she weighs less than albs so I ordered the xs first, it was too tight, probably due to all of her fur I would get this one for a chihuahua or similar short coat dog. I reordered the small which is perfect with room to expand with the velcro. We cut a sanitary napkin in half and place the open side facing toward her tail. It works great with no leaks and much cheaper than the liners and more absorbent. My little dog is trained for pads but leaks when she's excited so these work good. Of course if we forget and leave it on too long she pees in it. This has only happened a couple of times but when it did, no problem, no leaks. Oh what we do for our furry friends!!!!

Nice price for a two pack of washable dog diapers. However, they are sized way too small. These x-small ones look like they would fit a squirrel! I had to return and order a size larger. They are very thin and flimsy, however, if you use a women's minipad in them, they could do the job. One of my dogs can get them off, so it depends on the dog as to whether they will work for you.

I like having the washable, reusable doggie diapers rather than throwing money away on disposable. I would suggest skipping the Simple Solutions liners that are sold to go with the diaper and simply buying feminine hygenie pads. Cut them in half and they work perfect and are much more absorbent.

I received NAVY and BLACK, x-small, diapers instead of the pink and purple shown. BOTH X-SMALL DIAPERS WERE TOO SHORT TO FIT COMFORTABLY AND THE SMALL SIZE IS MUCH TOO BIG FOR MY 8 POUND BICHON. This is my 4th flexi lead, each of previous lasted through 7 years of abuse. This one is prettier but looks just a sturdy, working great (as expected)

I bought this leash shortly after I brought home my then 6 week old puppy. We've walked her on it without event for 7 months. It was easy to stop and lock, and easy to unlock again for places where she could wander around a bit more. I enjoyed the variety and felt it was safe.

Today, 7 months after purchase, the leash broke and my dog continued walking, into traffic. This leash was not chewed on or driven over, or abused in any way. It is meant to restrain an up to 44 pound dog, and my dog is 24 pounds. It's got no excuse. The cord released itself from the end of the pink ribbon lead.

I've owned Flexi leads in the past and not had trouble, but this will definitely be my last Flexi lead. I don't know if the manufacturing process has changed or not, but I'm not risking it. By the way, be sure to hold on to your original receipt, as this is the only way to get customer service on a broken lead.

This would be a decent product but the wire and the threaded attachment were just too easy for my dog to chew through. Needless to say, it didn't last very long. I won't be buying this item again. Maybe I will get some sort of chain next time, or a leash with a higher quality lead.

this are hard to find in the store so we buy them often here.. they are one of the few kong treats that work for the 2xl kong... we have the largest size due to the size of our german shepard and she still can get the treats with ease but they work the best compared to any other product out there that we have found...

These are my 3 year old wire fox terrier's favorite treats of all, and he's a picky little guy. He's not a big fan of even smoked, flavored rawhides, and sometimes may even turn his nose up at a smoked pig ear (though that is rare and usually just when he's pouting). These he NEVER turns down, and he goes absolutely berserk when I open the pack and he smells aroma wafting down. And they do have a fairly strong, though not unpleasant odor fairly citrusy. That's not too surprising, because these treats are full of vitamin C, which according to the packaging is important for canine dental health (I assume lack of vitamin C in a dog's diet can cause a similar condition to scurvy). Since Vitamin C is a non water soluble vitamin, it is important not to overdose your dog (water soluble vitamins like B vitamins are nearly impossible to overdose on because you/your dog will just pee excess vitamin out, but with non water soluble vitamins like vitamin C, it can accumulate in the body and, in excess, cause harm), so stick to the recommended daily "dose" on the packaging. Unfortunately, it is quite difficult to neatly break them into smaller pieces (I don't even bother), so these are not ideal training treats.

As for how long these treats last, I think that depends on your dog's breed and your individual dog. They are each rather dense and heavy. My little wire fox tends to demolish things pretty quickly he consumes a large smoked pig ear in less than five minutes, he once ripped a plank of wood off the side of the garage while trying to get to a groundhog, etc, and these treats last him about 30 seconds. One thing that I found interesting about these treats in particular is that, though he seems to love the flavor, he also seems compelled to drink a healthy several gulps from his water bowl after finishing one. Surely enough, the packaging says to make sure your pet has access to water when given these treats. So, two things I think are important to mention: don't overfeed these treats to your pet, and make sure your pet has access to water. The package says max 2 treats per day; he's a little guy so I just give him one.

As far as his breath is concerned, I haven't really noticed any change, perhaps it has an added citrus scent for a few minutes after he finishes the treat, but that's it. I don't think these are breath-freshening so much as they supply the dog important nutrients for his/her oral health, but perhaps some people like the added citrus scent to their pet's breath. They're not a substitute for tooth brushing (or using a brushless tooth cleaner), but they do make an excellent treat!

So, in summary: wonderful treat that dogs love, not great for training because it can't be broken down, contains vitamin C for oral health so you don't want to give your dog too many in one day, and very mildly freshens breath for a few minutes, and takes a 25 pound terrier about 30 seconds to consume, so it is something of a cross between a nutritious treat and a short-lived toy.

The leash is better quality than I was expecting for the price. The hand loop is sized right, and has adequate padding. You can easily hold it or loop it around your wrist without an issue. The decorative part of the leash is affixed to the hand loop with a square metal clasp, this works well for affixing the doggy waste bag roll.

I have only a minor complaint. It is that I find it hard to remove the the leash due to the fact the clasp is an in-and-out style, as opposed to an up and down style. This is is beneficial as it is easier to put on, and provides a sturdier clasping mechanism. However, for me personally, we let our dog walk without a leash quite a bit and hooking it and unhooking it can be cumbersome.

The quality of this bed is great and my cat would have loved it if only it was only 5 inches wider. She's average size (10 pounds) and could not fit in this bed comfortably. I tried to get her in and she fit in but she couldn't move at all and within a minute or two, she'd leave. I tried catnip as well but again, she'd leave within a minute. I returned the bed reluctantly because for the price paid, the bed should be in use. I so wish they made a bed just like this one but larger.

I purchased a number of different shapes and sizes of the Dog Gone Smart beds for our 7 cats and 2 dogs. All of them use and enjoy the rectangular and round beds (with and without sherpa tops although the sherpa tops are much preferred), however, only 1 out of our 7 cats liked this particular cat bed. In fact, she loves it! However, if you only have one cat for whom you are buying this cat bed, be aware that it might be hit or miss as to whether he/she uses it or not.

I bought this for my cat and he will use it from time to time but I think its a bit deep for him, kind of swallows him up. My westie uses it most of the time but I also have a 35 lb mutt that can twirl herself down into it., to see her do this is a hoot. One of the sides has gotton smooshed, no wonder Ive had it 2 years and both my dogs use it. Its got alot more life left in it and Im ordering another because both my dogs like it. The inner pillow removes for washing and the body has a zipper to unleash the tube full of stuffing, once removed the cover can also be washed. In time if the tube of stuffing becomes soiled or smelly you can always replace the stuffing from the tube. Please dont buy this for your 35 lb dog based on my review, I find it odd that mine uses it. Every critter is different, some may like it some wont but the quality of this bed is very good.

I have an 11 year old Australian shepherd (45 pounds) who was diagnosed with brain cancer a few months ago. Partly due to the cancer and partly due to the medications she's on now, she has become incontinent. I've had to resort to putting her in a crate when I'm not home and also at night. I line her crate with Absorbz and place "Norsk-Stor NSMPVN6DG Vented Multi-Purpose PVC Flooring" (sold at amazon) on top of the Absorbz to hold it in place. Using this method, her nails don't tear the Absorbz or otherwise disturb it and she's kept above the pooled urine. Before trying this combination, even though I was only gone a short time, I would come home to an embarassed dog who was soaked in urine.

I've tried several other brands, and Absorbz is the best hands down. When I came home today, I pulled out the tray from the bottom of the crate to see if it was wet. It was easy to see that it was soaked. When I folded the Absorbz pad up to throw it away, it was heavy with soaked up urine. It appeared that the liquid was absorbed into a "gel like"substance. In any case, in removing the pad to place it into the garbage can, the pad held the fluid without any of it spilling onto the floor. I rinsed out the crate pan and replaced the Absorbz pad readying it for the next use.

This chore has gone from an unpleasant dripping mess to a quick clean up. We've had Allie since she was a tiny puppy, and finding a product that does the job this well, hopefully will allow us to give her a little more time to enjoy life. I highly recommend this brand of "pee pad" Allie is fairly large and drinks a lot of water due to being on prednisone. I was really surprised at how much liquid Absorbz will hold.

Note: If you have a similar situation, you really need to combine the PVC flooring with the absorbz. The dog can't stand directly on the Absorbz. The flooring keeps them up and out of the mess.

I have tried a lot of different potty pads for puppies and these are by far the best and most absorbent! They do not let any liquid through and they soak up the pee right away!

Ordinarily I would have given this a five star rating, but this time the sealed in sides were all folded over, and it was quite a process to get them to lie straight after unfolding them. If they weren't unfolded, urine would run off the pad and onto the floor. I was unhappy with them. I don't know if this is a change in packaging or just a one shot problem. I've used them for years and never had the problem before, so it could be a one time situation.

This collar works great and the low profile design is exactly what i desired. I bought the 19" version. I have a 9 month old pit bull and she requires a pinch. She is on the small side but still incredible strong and her desire to show dominance is just a strong. I tried the choke and a conventional pinch collar. The choke collar was an epic fail and often caused more harm than correction. When using the traditional pinch collar it was effective and she responded very well. I (as I'm sure others) grew very tired very quickly of all the negative comments I reiceved from uneducated dog owners and non dog owners on the merits of using a pinch. One lady even said she'd call Animal Cruelty on me, as her own lab was attempting to pull her arm out of her socket. The low profile of this collar allows me and my pup the security and strength of training with a pinch whithout letting idiots in on the secret.

This collar would be worth 5 stars if it weren't for two issues.

1) It's is extremely difficult to adjust at first, it takes a lot of muscling to seperate the prongs.

2) There is a longer than normal adjustment period for your Pup as well as some serious neck chaffing and scrapping until adjusted just right.

All and all though definetly worth the investment.

I like that the collar looks good, and is easy on-easy off. It works like the traditional prong. The bad... I have had the quick-snap pop off while the dog was on the leash. So now, I when using this one, I make sure to use a back-up collar as well.

This collar is really well built, looks amazing, and very affective if you size it right. It pinches and has little teeth that are springy just enough to not hurt your dog too much. Once they get the hang of this collar, a light tug is all you need. My vet admired the collar for how great it is. It will make your dog look tough. My little shiba will be wearing this for the rest of his life.

This collar is for walking only. Do not connect your dog on a flexible leash and allow them to run full speed to the end. Get a harness for that.

Dean and Tyler Nylon Night Dog Leash, Black 6-Feet by 3/4-Inch Width With Solid Brass Hardware.

I've been using this leash for about 6 months now and love it. My dog does is not a chewer so I don't know if it's strong enough for that. What I love most is that the leash can be used in so many ways (to "clip" down to an object such as a dinner table at an outdoor restaurant, as a long leash, as an over-the-body hand's free solution, etc.). Great flexibility for many situations while with your beloved canine friend. Highly recommended!

Simple Solution Training Pads, 10 Pads, Extra Large

Our dog didn't sit or lay on thest pads, but we found a better use. We use them for bed protectors for senior incontinence. They work very well.

I had really hoped I had found the perfect training pad, or at least a fairly reliable absorbant one with no edge overflow. I was willing to ignore the price. I'm just glad I tried the 10 pack first before committing to the larger sizes. Sadly, all I got with this brand was too much hype and not enough protection.

These were the yellow backed, 10 count, extra large version, if that makes any difference. They're quilted but thinner than other brands I've tried (Hartz, Top Paw, can't remember the rest). The biggest problem I have is the same as many people edge overflow. They just don't absorb fast enough to prevent it. I think this brand has produced more overflow than the rest, which sometimes looks like leakage because the underside plastic wicks some up under the pad somehow while the rest hits the floor. Maybe if your dog is tiny and always goes in the center of the pad then this gigantic pad would work, but it seems that regardless of pet size they seem to gravitate towards the edge of the pad! Go figure.

I have a large male adult dog so I overlap the pads to make sure there is plenty of pad for him to hit. I always make sure the pads are layed so any overflow from one to the other runs on top of the next pad, not under it. But the outside edges just can't contain the urine. Sigh.

I guess as long as I have to work and leave my dog at home alone all day, I'll just keep searching for the holy grail of puppy pads that I pray is out there. If I find it'll it will get 5 stars and a glowing review.

Petstages Snuggle Scratch and Rest

Our felines absolutely loved this product, but sadly it is poorly made and the corrugated board rapidly unraveled with the feet also coming off. We are down to just a nub of the original product and yet the cats are still trying to lie on the remains. If it were more substantially constructed and lasted better it would be a fantastic product. A great concept, but the product quality is lacking.

My cat is about 17 years old and buying gifts for him is difficult. He's one of those cats that thinks he's above most toys, but he loves cardboard boxes and things like that, so I figured he'd like this. I was wrong.

He LOVES it. We call it his "saucer." He requests that it be put in the window during the daylight hours, and in the evening, we sit it in the floor of the den so he can watch TV with us. He's barely been out of it since I bought it. Plus it came with a little baggy of cat nip.

I have a rabbit too who hops in it when the cat has his back turned.

My cat absolutely loves to scratch and then cuddle up in a ball on this bed. I have bought two of them. The first one she tore off the printed cardbord around the sides. We then duct-taped the sides and bottom and this has worked fine. We bought a second one and put clear tape on the sides and duct tape on the bottom. We have six rescue cats, five females and one male, ages 9 months to 18 years. Weights 5 lbs. to 17 pounds. ALL of them LOVE this product...and we did not put the catnip on it. We bought two, one is upstairs and one on main floor. All the cats use them. They use for scratching some, but mainly for "resting". Often when one gets off, another will get in within a very short time. Even the 17 pound male can fit although there is no room to spare. Yes, it's made of cardboard but we knew that. It's partly why it is comfortable for cats. It appears the product will last quite a while. Bottom line: excellent product that I highly recommend.

Our five rescued dogs LOVE this toy! We followed the instructions online for introducing it to them gradually and getting them used to it by making things very easy at first, to boost their success rate, confidence, and interest... Now two of them use it on the "hardest" level and absolutely BEG for the chance to play with their puzzle!

All I have to do is take it out and they recognize it by sight and can't wait to have their turn with their game. I have to put the other four in a closed room while one uses it, and I hear whining until each has had their turn.

And of course, it achieves the desired effect: dogs that are MENTALLY stimulated AND worn out and ready for a nap afterwards!

We also have a plastic Ottosson toy, and a benefit to that one is that it has rubber feet, and only four pieces come out (the others just slide) so it is much easier to put away when finished. Also, the treat holes in this game are smaller, and it's kind of hard to get the treat to stay in the tube while you're inserting the tube into the board. These are human considerations from the dogs' perspective, that one is a bit easy to get the hang of; not so with this challenging toy.

The construction is very good, and stands up to our dogs' sometimes overly-enthusiastic attempts at getting to the treats (they weight between 50 and 75 lbs.)

For treats we use Premier Liver Biscotti and they work very well.

I'd recommend this toy to any of my friends who are owned by dogs and have. Our dogs are our kids, so we value a product that provides them with a means to stimulate their little minds and bodies in a constructive way.

If you have a dog that is destructive due to boredom, this toy is just what you need!

My dog absolutely LOVES this toy. He's a 70lb sheperad/lab mix and works this toy to get treats out. He's not a chewer, which is good, as the product is made from pressed board and wouldn't stand up to a chewer for more than about 10 minutes.

I would have given this 5 stars if:

1) it was only about 30 dollars

2) it had a little more difficulty to get at the treats on the middle layer.

All in all though, if you have a smart dog that needs some entertainment, this is a good product.

4 stars for the cat. I wouldn't recommend it for large dogs. I have a cat and two large dogs. The cat loved this toy and quickly learned to pull the drawer open by pulling on the handle with his paw. The dogs struggled. The handles are small and the drawers are close together. There just isn't much space for them to manuver a drawer open, and if they did manage to get it open they kept shutting it with their noses when they tried to get the treat out. Small dogs with little feet and noses would probably like it just fine.

Fantastic dog toy, you can make it hard or easy, don't slide the covers closed all the way at first, and after your dog gets it there it a small bowl shaped piece you put upside down between the sliders so the dog has to lift it (another spot for a treat), then slide the covers to get the rest of the treats.

I found that lifting the bowl and sliding the first slider was a good challenge for my terrier, but the cover on one side has to be slid the opposite direction as the slider on the other side, and that took her quite a bit longer to understand. Many many hours of enjoyment, and keeping her thinking and challenged keeps her out of trouble.

Great toy for dogs. I'm not using it as described, but am using it to teach my dog scent discrimination (so only one peg gets the food in it). Once the dog gets the idea of how to find the food, this becomes a really fun game. Took about 3 training sessions to get the dog to stop running off with the pegs and to hunt for the food. My dog now goes wild when I pull the toy down and get it out of the box! It's a great way to play with your dog.

Overall a very good product the vibrating mode gets the dog's attention without any discomfort whatsoever. The static read shockis variable from totally undetectible ( by dog or human ) to attention getting level. It could be abused but at least there is a 12 second max at any setting. My one wish is that the sustained mode ( more than a fraction of a second ) first starts with the fraction of a secon stimulus followed by about a 1 sec break followed by a longer stimulus up to the 12second max. It would be perfect for avoidance training if there was no gap in the stimulation. With this method you set the device at the lowest detectable vibration holding same until dog STARTS to do what you have previously taught him to do on that specific command. The gap seemed to distract the dog making the training somewhat more difficult. Consistency is the goal and the gap in stimulation defies consistency and wth my dog ( a 9.5 yr old rescue from Toms River NJ (Just before Sandy) at least finds it a bit of a distraction)

This trainer started off with problems, but the supplier support was very good. The transmitter battery would not charge, so they sent a new transmitter. The new transmitter was not compatible with the collar, so I simply took out the battery and replaced with my original transmitter which now works. I have a mix border collie/ black lab, very challenging. I live on 10 acres and walk on an additional 40 acres. Before the collar, my dog would completely ignore me to come and run uncontrollably. After the collar with only the buzz, he stopped and looked back at me and immediately came. So it works good. Sometimes the collar turns itself off, and I am not sure it is the result of the dog running so I check it frequently but overall it works. I also bought longer probes for the collar as the dog's fur is quite heavy. Keep in mind we already have a invisible fence so the dog was used to something happening on his collar. In addition this collar helps me walk the dog off leash which the dog enjoys more, but is mindful of the vibration to stay close when we walk on street.

This is the second product from this vendor. The shocker portion of the collar stopped working after a few months but the vibration portion continues. Same comments for the previous product.
