This product is much sturdier and well made than the other cheaper pole available on here. This is well worth the extra $10-15. The seller is amazing! I ordered the large size with lure and the small without lure, but they included a lure with the small one even though I ordered it without one! It is rare to see merchants that know how to create a loyal customer base. I will definitely be ordering more poles if these are ever destroyed and I am referring all dog owners to this product.

I don't know what I would do without this pole; my italian greyhound has a very high energy personality and she's already a high energy breed. After warming her up, she'll chase this thing at full speed for 20-30 minutes and will even jump 3-4 feet in the air for it. If it wasn't for this pole lure, I imagine she would be extremely destructive when trying to release energy. If you own a dog do yourself a favor and buy one of these. No Bark Dog Collar

We have tried everything with our wonderful dog who never barks.. except when we leave... we started by giving him chew toys, busy bone, ultrasonic bark device, relaxing music for dogs (I kid you not), a dog collar with a citronelle spray, a fermone spray for his bed, and then we got a different electric collar pet safe which ambed up the shocks which worked somewhat but then our dog would howl when we leave.. it does not zap that kind of noise. After using this for a few years and watching our dog howl more and more when we leave... after another set of batteries ran out... we bought this one and oh my god it actually works. I think it' the vibration warning a zap is coming which makes it such a success... as it's a one two punch we needed to calm our dog down. For those of you who think this a bad for you dog... NO.. what is bad for your dog is straining his vocal cords all day and our neighbors nerves. Now he doesn't even attempt to bark or howl when leave what a huge relief!! Worth every penny... I rarely review items only when they exceed my expectations and when I think someone else could benefit from it! PS it has speed charger just takes two hours to charge!

We ordered this collar for our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He is a great dog, very gentle and obedient, but at age 2 has started develop a some pretty annoying barking habits. These range from the harmless but annoying, such as seeing a squirrel out the window, barking like crazy at it and then tearing down the stairs to his basement doggy door; to the embarassing such as going absolutely beserk at the mail carrier and anyone else who happens by our house walking a dog. When he goes into this "beserk" stage, he won't listen and can't be stopped from barking/growling until the "intruder" in his space is gone.

We have tried a couple of different products, namely the PetSafe Outdoor Ultrasonic Bark Deterrent (the one shaped like a birdhouse) for outdoors, and PetSafe PBC-1000 Ultrasonic Indoor Bark Control for indoors. The Outdoor unit worked reasonably well, but our dog figured out pretty quickly that if he got far enough back from it (it was placed near the property line to deter barking at the sidewalk), he could still do his thing (including harassing the mail carrier when they got to the front porch.) The Indoor unit seemed to work for about a week, and then lost its effect (I even put brand new batteries in it, but it just seems the noise it emits doesn't bother him that much.)

After reading reviews for virtually every "no bark" collar on Amazon and other sites, we selected the Dogstra No Bark YS300. Unlike the ultrasonic bark deterrents we had been using before, which rely on an unpleasant noise to stop barking, this collar detects the bark and then delivers a "shock" to the dog. I should add that our dog is trained on and completely comfortable with an electric fence, so to some degree he gets the joke of what it means to get a shock. We have been using this collar for 2 weeks, and so far it works like a charm. The first day that the mail arrived, our dog began his usual barking, and immediately received a corrective shock. He let out a little yelp (exactly what he does when shocked by electric collar for invisible fence), and not only did he stop barking, but he settled down, and never went into his "beserk" mode. When he is in his "beserk" mode at the mail carrier, he often shreds the mail. Not this time. Apparently by stopping the barking, it stopped the whole destructive mode.

The dog very quickly figured out that bark = shock, and I think he has only received one or two shocks subsequently. He has also figured out that a low growl does not trigger the shock, nor does a very quiet "woof" that is almost more like a grunt. So he can still alert us if he believes something is not right (like a squirrel has entered his yard.) I should add that the collar has 7 levels of shock severity, and we have it set on the mildest one.

The last thing I will adress is the battery. The Dogstra YS300 uses a rechargeable lithium battery. So far it seems to need charging every 4 days or so. This is not a big deal, we simply take it off of him at night and charge it as you would a cell phone, an i-touch, etc. This may sound like a lot of charing, but we have been thru so many battery ordeals with his electric fence collar and those batteries are so expensive, that I actually like this method better.

I have a mini schnauzer and a lab mix who think they need to bark and scream incessantly whenever a car comes up the drive. If you want to visit outdoors with the neighbor, forget it, because they bark the ENTIRE time. I ordered one Dogtra YS300 to use for both dogs.

The pros:

1. It says for small to medium dogs, but is very effective with my lab mix also.

2. It has a vibration warning before the correction.

3. It can be set to vibrate only when the correction is learned.

4. The battery is rechargeable in about 2 hours.

The cons:

1. Even on the LOWEST setting, it is a little too strong for my mini schnauzer. She squealed on the correction of "2" which I did not like. (However, I can set it to vibrate only for her which works well.)

2. The strap is very long, but it can be cut to fit, so not a big "con"

3. My dogs do already know that they can bark when the collar is off, however the duration is shorter.

I will have to update my review in the future in order to address durability.

To make a long story short, I like this collar, and will be ordering another one so that both dogs will have one to wear when we go camping, etc.

Edit to add: It has been two years and the collar still works great. I have absolutely NO problems with this collar. I highly recommend it.

I have one large and one medium sized dog (75 and 55 pounds respectively). I bought the YS500 for the smaller dog because her weight was on the cusp. When it arrived it looked way to big for her so I gave the 500 to my larger dog and ordered a YS300. Finally, the collars looked appropriate for each of them.

I didn't want to use the collars because I wasn't thrilled about shocking my dogs but the smallers habit of charging the front door and barking was getting worse and worse. Finally, I put the collars on periodically without being turned on for several weeks at the advice of my dog trainer so they would not learn to associate the shock with the collar.

Last week I finally turned the collars on. The YS300 at the lowest setting has totally freaked out my small dog. She shreaks when it goes off. She is scared to death. I have been dealing with this and trying very hard to ignore her reaction as she is avoiding the front door so I guess it is working. This has been very upsetting for both myself and my dog.

Here is the warning. If you have more than one dog please be aware that the YS300 can be set-off by another dog. It took a few occassions to be sure of this. My poor little dog has been shocked 3 times now by my larger. Once they were playing and he barked and shocked her. Once they charged the front door and the larger dog barked and shocked her and once my larger dog hacked and it set off her collar. Yes, he hacked and my small dog because she was standing next to him was shocked. Each time she shreaked in fear and doesn't have any idea what she did wrong.

I called Dogtra and they told me that the YS300 has a sensor that can be set-off by other dogs. I wish I saw this in my research. Is this published anywhere as a warning?? It should be! If I had this very important piece of information, I certainly would not have bought the collar. Dogtra's customer service was friendly and told me to mail them the YS300 and they will "make the sensor less sensitive". I guess this is a reasonable customer service response but I'm not really sure how willing I am to keep experimenting on my poor dog.

I read about the intense odor these bags have and I was VERY hesitant to order the Litter Champ. I had free shipping so I gave it a whirl. There is a VERY faint smell to the bags and it's nearly undetectable once the bag is opened and installed.

I have used this product for over 10 years. These refills fit into the Litter Champ hamper for feline waste. It definitely does the job and removes the obnoxious odors from the litter box. We took my dog Riley to the Vets yesterday and she had to give him two shots the rabies and another vaccine (im not sure what it was). Anyway she put a couple of these on the table and he started eating them. He didn't even know she had given the shots to him to him. He didn't flinch or any thing. We bought a pack and now he loves them we are training him how to sit, and boy is it working when we use these.

My dog cannot be bribed. I have tried EVERYTHING. The only thing he can be bribed with so far are these treats and real food (steamed chicken meat, peanut butter, and cheese whiz). I can't really use these for training, because he still doesn't like it as much as the human food. But it's an good treat if I want to reward him for going potty in the right place in a pinch.

I need to put them in a hard plastic container to keep them from turning into powder. Also avoid getting them wet...man they become one sticky mess when they do.

I purchased this product at a PA Dog show almost exacly a year ago. At first, I was absolutely thrilled with the performance of the product. My dog (a 10lb bichon/toy poodle mix) is usually a well behaved walker, but can get excited and pull at time. This leash helped to reduce the frequency of the pulling and, due to the elasticity of it, the stress of the pulling on my arm. If I had written this review six months ago, it would have gotten 5 stars.

The problem is that, after owning the product for a year, the elastic which attaches the leash to the collar clip is almost completely frayed. I could understand this lack of duriability if it had to deal with a powerful dog, but again this product was used on a 10lb dog. Also, becuase the interrior elastic is the same colour as the exterior elastic, it was hard to see the damage without close inspection.

Due to the lack of duriability, I did not purchase another Wacky Walker to replace this one, however I was pleased with the product during its short lifetime.

My young dog (lab/hound mix) fantasizes to be a hunter thus she's a puller. She gets excited whenever she finds birds or squirrels, and rush to those small animals even in the middle of a busy city street. So I tried this leash on her, hoping this would reduce the sudden impact from her pull and somehow discourage her hunting instinct.

Yes, thanks to the rubber-like elastic material, it reduces the impact on my elbow somewhat, but for a real puller like my girl, you need a strong, non-elastic, rope-like leash to better control the dog. This leash (I bought size Large) is so much heavier in weight and thicker than other types of leashes, this leash cannot be squeezed into my small waist bag when not in use at city dog runs.

I think I will leave this leash in my drawer till my dog gets older to slow down. For young energetic doggies like mine, I found this product not too useful.

I have a 60 pound dalmatian that pulls a lot. I purchased this leash, size large and found that when he reaches the limit, it really hurts my arm and back. He has adjusted to it (a little) but not what I expected. Maybe with time, he is 5 years old and needs lots of running time. I have found that after a long walk or run he is better on it. But when we start out he still pulls, so it is no quick fix, for me. He was a rescue dog and never had formal leash training when we got him when he was 1 year old. So that is my story, take it for what its worth. We have a better walk with a no pull halter.

These are just as good, though rectangular (I like the square ones better -they fit my space better, but for this price, no problem!), and they are bigger than the regular pads. Herm Sprenger Stainless Quick Release Steel Prong Collar 16" X 2.25 mm with with Double Billets & Ri

This is about the collar as I did not purchase off of Amazon.

I'll be the first to admit these collars look like something out of the Inquisition and appear draconian and until recently would NEVER have bought one in preference to the traditional choke chain. Not to get long winded but after doing a lot of homework on this collar and maintaining my objectivity, this is definately the way to go. When used correctly, they are much kinder to the dog than a choke chain or even a traditional collar. The trick is that you have to get the fit right. If this collar is causing pain to your dog the fault is yours alone. These collars should simply provide the corrective "nip" or "pinch" that a mother dog would give to her pup(s) or at worse an elder or higher up pack member would give when correcting a dog that's out of line.

Herein lies the problem with this particular collar. The other Herm Sprenger collars wrap around the neck and should be a little snug so that when you pull there is a uniform pinch around the neck. This is achieved through the action of the martingale style collar. This collar does not have this and as a result the prongs dont pinch, they stab. I did not notice this on my dog until I was attempting to put his other collar back on after a training session and there were small skin tears on his neck with small gashes. I was horrified but oddly he never yelped once!

Having had a small pinch collar of the martingale type earlier, I did not have this problem and I had a professional dog trainer (of the obedience/schutzhund type) help me fit that collar and use it correctly. I will be the first to admit that I could be doing somthing wrong with this particular collar.

I love the quick release feature of this collar as it's so easy to get on and off. I wish the martingale type had this release also as it's easier, and, I think, a little safer to use this rather than sliding the collar on and off. My dog is still a puppy (at 50 lbs) and naturally everything goes into his mouth even a collar when you slip it on and off. That's happened a couple of times, and I've simply undo the prongs to get the collar on and off; a tricky prospect with a squirming, then 12 week old puppy.

I think the other thing that dissappointed me is that the tips of the prongs on this collar were not rounded at the tips. I know this to be a sort of Herm Sprenger trade-mark. Even the knock-offs have the rounded prongs to prevent the kind of tearing that happened on my dogs neck. However, I will be purchasing a stainless steel Herm Sprenger martingale style correction collar when I complete this review.

Unlike the other reviewer, I am switching TO this style Herm Sprenger collar after we had already used the standard stainless steel martingale Herm Sprenger collar with the swivel D-ring. We have a 1-year old German Shepherd Dog, who has been through 2 levels of obedience classes, and daily training. We have various collars, from flat buckle mesh collars and rolled leather collars for lounging around the house, e-collar for off-leash field work, and the standard prong collar described above for outdoor training sessions under various levels of distraction. Yesterday, during our private 1:1 training session with a nationally recognized trainer who specializes in German Shepherd training, I was advised to switch to this quick release prong collar. When properly sized and correctly positioned, it is to be used with a quick light movement of the leash. During the entire training session, except for these light corrections, the leash should exert almost no tension on the collar. This is the way all prong collars should be used. If pressure is applied nearly constantly, even mild pressure, your dog is learning to behave only when under duress, and you are likely to have trouble with his compliance off-leash. You wouldn't drive a car without prior instructions, and you shouldn't use training tools like e-collars or prong collars without prior professional training, especially if you own high-drive dogs like German Shepherds, Dobermans, etc. They are like high performance cars: properly handled, you will be thrilled by their performance.

These are an excellent product. I first started buying them for my two large dogs, and both love their treats. Unfortunately, they are both slightly overweight. These are perfect, as they are low fat and made from natural ingredients. They must taste great, as my dogs always want them at treat time.

The dogs love these, the only thing I would caution is that they are on the large size. So though they would be a great snack for large active dogs, they are a bit too much for a puppy and a slightly overweight scottie dog. Some of the shapes are so large they make a meal for a smaller dog. And they are not they easiest things to break apart. But as stated above the dogs love them, in fact they smell so good they could tempt a human.

My Yellow Lab prefers these cookies over several other well known brands. Yes, they are hard as several reviewers have noted all the better for helping to reduce tarter thru chewing hard cookies or biscuits which in turn helps to promote healthier gums. I find the hardness of these cookies no different from say Milk Bone Dog Biscuits which my Lab also loves. I spoke to my Vet about these dry, hard cookies and, based upon the ingredients listed on the cookie box, he saw nothing wrong with giving them as a treat BUT as with any other treat, only in moderation. He also surmised that the hardness of the cookies could help in reducing tarter buildup. I give my Lab either one of the larger sized or two of the smaller sized cookies per day. They make a nice treat after his evening walk. (He gets a Milk Bone after his morning stroll). I've purchased both the peanut butter & molasses as well as these assorted flavors cookies and my Lab loves them all. He gives these Blue Dog Bakery cookies a "Four Paws" rating.

Sadie is a six year old German Shephard and comes to me asking for dog biscuits whenever she wants one. I ask her if she wants to go outside and she just looks at me. I ask her if she wants a dog biscuit and she sticks her tongue out. That means "yes."

Sadie really likes the Blue Dog biscuit more than any others. I can tell because she asks for one three times a day.

Right now it's very hot here in Medford, Oregon, and sadie only wants to go out to "do her duty." I worry that she is getting too fat. What a spoiled brat!

I have a Chocolate Lab who admittedly likes alot (but not all) treats ... but he loves these and they are good for him. Pooch Pads - X Large

I love Pooch pads. It is great to be able to use the product over and over again but the down side is that after the 2nd wash the thread around the edges unraveled. If you can't wash them and they hold together, they are not worth much. This was the second batch I purchased and the first is still doing very well. So I guess it can go either way. I don't think I would purchase unless I owned a sewing machine.

These treats are excellent for training or just giving my dog a treat now and then. They are low calorie and all natural so I can give many treats a day without worrying about my dog getting fat or having digestive issues. They also smell amazing (mostly like cinnamon). They are very dense and not crumbly so you can easily put them in your pocket without getting stinky treat crumbs everywhere. I really think they are the perfect treat for my boston terrier. The only bummer is that they are kind of expensive and I wish you could buy bigger bags but I think they are worth the price.

I bought these for inital dog retrevial training. Within two days of VERY minor tossing, the internal foam plugs popped out and allowed the included sharp rocks (for weight in throwing) to migrate freely within the canvas. I greatly dislike rocks striking my young dogs teeth. I tried again to ensure that it WAS the product. Within a ten minute session, two more of these tossing dummies had developed the same problem.

I am retroing the product to include a soft canvas inner bag for the ballast and will be making my own from here out. Very disappointed.

Gentle Leader Deluxe Head Collar and Leash, Medium, Bones On Square/Black

The Gentle Leader is a God-send. My 60 lb. Golden Retriever puppy Murfy was definitely in charge on our walks while my poor back suffered from all the unexpected pulls off the roadway into whatever ditches, woods or fields he wanted to explore. Out first walk using the Gentle Leader was a pure delight not one single pull! Being a retriever, Murfy can still pick up branches, etc. on his walks. Fitting the collar was easy and Murfy readily accepted it. A must for all dog owners!

I love these Gentle Leader Head Collars (and the matching leashes sent with them). I got a set for each of my dogs and now there is no pulling and I don't have to worry quite as much about my one dog going after anything/one/the other dog (in a bad way). She has a little brain problem and flips once in a while and goes nasty to others (just not to me for some reason which is good). But these are great leashes/leaders and,not only do they not pull, I have complete control. It doesn't even hurt their mounts/noses since there are soft cushiony parts that fit around their moutn/noce. Plus they came quicker than estimated. Plus they both even came with CDs. Plus the plastic cases they came in were recyclable on top of it! So great product and company.

I got this for our standard poodle, new to us, pulls terrible and lunges at other dogs. My boys are doing dog training with 4-h so it is a must we get him socialized and under control. dog still wins occassionally, but everytime I put it on her, she really calms down by leaps and bounds. Just make sure you check the weights/ size requirements, my lab is 60 pounds exactly and the large one was too big for her, and the medium one is just barely big enough.

I have a Chow/Golden mix and I had a hard time fitting this collar. My dog has very thick, silky soft fur on his head and neck, which made the part of the collar that goes over his head difficult to get as tight as the instructions urge, allowing the collar to slip around a little and be less effective and uncomfortable for him. It doesn't stay tight either; it tends to loosen over the walk. I also have a hard time not catching his fur in the clip. The sizing was a little off; my dog weighs 55lbs and I ordered the medium, but then found the large was better. But once properly fitted, the result is great. He wasn't difficult to walk with a regular collar/leash except when another dog came into view and then he would want to immediately meet and play, yanking me all over the place. With this collar he stays calm and under my control. I just wish it would stay tight and have a safety tether to his collar like some of the other head collars do.
