Alfie Couture Designer Pet Accessory - Shayne Step-in Harness and Leash Set - Color: Red, Size: S

Alfie Couture Designer Pet Accessory - Shayne Step-in Harness and Leash Set - Color: Red, Size: SThis is very well made, fits nice and is cute as a button.

Just be aware that this is a harness that you will put on for walks and take back off again. They can't wear it alone. I don't like that part, but I didn't let it effect the rating, because I should have paid more attention to the pictures on the listing.

Sophie doesn't like it either. I don't know why. She keeps acting like "something is on her". I think she feels the extra weight there and it confuses her. But again...my dog's kinda silly like that, so, again, I didn't let it effect the rating. But felt I should mention it, in case your fur baby is silly too :-)

My mommy get me this here harness and I be luvin it! I is da sweetest lil yorkie you ever seen in my lil bow tie! Dis lil gurl rocks this now tie and harness!

Punk Hollow Leather Leash ~ Dbl Braided ~ 6 ft. X 3/4 in. ~ Brown/BrassGreat product. High quality and nice color. Looks like it will last a while with heavy use! I am a dog trainer and prefer leather because it's kinder on my hands, particularly after you break it in. This is exactly what I look for and was reasonably priced.

Very well made. It will last a lifetime! Tried a lot of collars for my German Shepherd and this one was comfortable to use and very durable.

Gentle Leader Easy Walk Harness - Petite/small Tweener, Red

Gentle Leader Easy Walk Harness - Petite/small Tweener, RedWe love these collars!!! We had to exchange for a larger size and the customer service was amazing!!!! They were very quick to respond with the return info and sent the new one out immediately. We highly recommend this seller. We look forward to doing business with them in the future!!

I love this harness, and bought a second one after the first proved so successful. We have small dogs (12-15 lbs), but I've heard it works just as well with a 180 lb labrador. We used to dislike taking the two dogs out as our fingers would be bruised and arms would be sore from all the pulling. Now walking them is so completely different and very enjoyable. We no longer hear the hoarse rasping breaths they made if we used a choke collar, and we no longer have the sore arms that came along with other harness styles. I highly recommend it. I like also that there are tweener sizes available, as the smaller of the two dogs was too big for the petite and too large for the medium. I bought the medium sized one first at Petco, and the second through Amazon because Petco didn't carry the tweener size.

Mud River The Swagger Collar

Mud River The Swagger CollarGet what u pay for. Very nice collar. Durable and comfortable for your buddy! Grommet holes and padding for dogs neck protection on backside.

O.k. it is a dog collar, not something we really think about alot, but this collar this like the best of the best, heavy heavy duty gun-metal rings and buckle, heavy thick nylon webbing, with inside padding, this is the collar that will last forever and then some, extremely well built, extremely comfortable and very stylish, at least this is what Sinnamon and SassyGurl have told us :)

This is one of the nicest dog collars I have seen to date. It is tough and durable yet pretty soft against your dogs neck and it looks good as well. This is the only collar my Yellow Lab has not tried to destroy so far. Great product. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to buy their favorite hunting dog a new collar.

Himalayan Dog Chew, Small 3.5 oz

Himalayan Dog Chew, Small 3.5 ozMy dogs liked this treat ok. It was something for them to chew on besides my furniture. They did last a couple of weeks in a house with 3 small dogs. My only complaint is they leave a milky residue behind. It was very hard getting it out of their beds.

$1500 later......please learn from my experience and DO NOT buy these Himalayan Yak chews for your small dog. I have a 14lb Shih Tzu who is a chewer and we were turned on to this product by our local high-end dog retailer (Mud Bay). While the packaging does have some warning about when the chew gets small.....I have to say it's near impossible to babysit your dog's chewing. A piece of this company's yak bone did in fact get caught in my dog's esophagus and we incurred some SIGNIFICANT bills to retrieve the item through endoscopy. Not to mention all the pain and suffering my dog went through all because of a product he's supposed to chew on/eat. It's just not worth it. The chews in the package are smallish and you'll have to end up throwing nearly 1/2 of it away because it will become a choke hazard for your dog. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!!!! I hope my review helps you steer clear of this product!

Buy Himalayan Dog Chew, Small 3.5 oz Now

Got this for our 4 month old Frenchie and she loves it! I only let her chew it for 15-20 min per day. I noticed if she chews it longer than that she doesn't seem to enjoy it anymore (like a kid that gets unlimited candy on Halloween, they'll keep eating it, even if it's making them sick). It also gives her bad gas : But she loves it so much, so I deal with it. Each piece lasts about 2 weeks when I give it to her on a limited basis.

One complaint small pieces flake off sometimes, making a mess on my rug. I always put a sheet down before I give it to her. Oh the things you do for your dog...

You can find this for less on other websites.

I have dogs and this is the first time I have found a treat that LASTED for over 1 week, they keep taking turns munching on this treat. Also one of the pups is allergic to everything! This product NO adverse reaction...

It's a must!

My new 2 yr old, 8 lb. rescue Chihuahua really loves these chews. It takes her 3 hrs of real chewing to finish one. It like it because it's not dangerous like rawhide. My only concern is the noise when she's chewing on it. I'm not sure if it's the chew or her teeth that are "crunching". It really sounds like her teeth are cracking. She's quite the chewer. Everything else either sounds dangerous, like rawhide or crunches up too fast, but is safer. Anyone else have the breaking glass sound? I worry about her teeth and as much as I would like to buy them again, I may not.

Lupine Designer Dog Lead

Lupine 3/4-Inch Wild West 6-Foot Dog LeadI discovered this leash at my vets and was drawn to it because of the really cute designs. I also really liked the clip which you could just "slap" onto the dog collar rather than using the usual thumb-slider clip. The leash also has a padded handle which is very much appreciated when you have 70 pounds of dog pulling against you to get out at that lovely poodle coming your way...

What has turned me into a customer for life for Lupine is their replacement guarantee. I originally bought a leash and collar when my dogs were puppies -fuzzy bundles of chewing teeth. I was crate training them and would leave the collars on while they were in their crates. Don't ask me how but one of my dogs had this incredible talent for chewing the collar off. Lupine replaced it no questions asked. It happened again. They did it again. By this point, I caught a clue and no longer left the collar on my dog while unattended.

However, there aren't many companies that will stand behind their product like Lupine does -even when their customers are not the most clueful people in the world. When I would email them, they were always incredibly friendly and it was a personalized response.

In essence, if you buy one Lupine leash, that is the only leash you will ever need to buy because Lupine will stand behind it. However, in reality, because customer service like this is so hard to find (not to mention the leashes and collars are so nice compared to others out there), you want to continue to support the company by purchasing more collars throughout the years.

I can't recommend these leashes and the company enough!

If you have a dog that chews, Lupine leads are a must. Three days after receiving my order from Amazon, my 1-year-old English Setter mix chewed straight through this lead. After realizing what she had done, I sent the chewed lead to Lupine and received a new lead free of charge within three days. She's on her second lead now and is doing much better with the nervous-chewing issue but I can rest assured that if she does chew through this one, Lupine will replace it quickly, free of charge, and with no questions asked.

This is one of the best leads I have ever owned (and I've owned quite a few), hands down. The handle is comfortablethe padding makes it easy for me to hold it with no burns or bruises from plastic or nylon handles which is a first. It is easy to slip onto a harness, even in cold weather and the lead itself seems to be made from quality materials. I also love the print, even if it is a little girly.

Bottom line, buy this lead, especially if you have a dog who likes to chew.

Buy Lupine Designer Dog Lead Now

This is my 4th or 5th lupine product that I've bought over the years. The only reason why I even bought another leash was because the other one I had was only 4 feet (it was the only size my vet carried at the time) and I didn't know about the 6'. I really do like the extra length in the 6 footer compared to the 4 footer. Also I like that it matches the collar I bought even though that was years ago.

The lupine products have sat outside in the Florida heat and tropical storms. They'be been washed in the washing machine and dried in the dryer. No complaints--not even a loose stitch. Great product at a good price :)

I love Lupine leashes and collars. They are high quality and have a lifetime guarantee even if chewed! Can't beat that!!!

Want Lupine Designer Dog Lead Discount?

After getting tired of buying leads from the big box pet stores, only for them to fail/tear apart, I decided to try Amazon. The Lupine Leashes are of the same material as many of the leads you'll find at your local pet stores/Wally Mart. The lead is of a two piece construction, black material looped with a metal latch to the lead, the 3/4 and 1" thick leads have a real easy to latch clip for attaching the lead to the collar. Where as the 1/2" thick lead has the standard thumb pull/press latch. The difference between this lead and all others is the warranty/guarantee; LIFETIME, even if you have a pet who chews through the leash! You can go to lupinepet dot com, they have the guarantee on the bottom of their page, you just mail them the old broken lead (or collar), then they'll ship it back to you. I haven't had the luxury of having to return one, their products seem very well made. The added knowledge of where it's made allows you to feel better as all of Lupine products are made in New Hampshire, (USA).

Simple Solution Disposable 12 Diapers

Simple Solution Disposable Diapers, Small, 12-CountI have a 15 year old cat who is getting less than accurate in his litter box finding ability (he's also blind). Rather than curse him several times a day for peeing on my 100 year old pine floors, I decided to try these diapers. It takes some experimenting to get the fit right, but they work just fine once you do. They will usually hold at least 2 pee incidents before they need to be changed.

Given that the #1 one reason cats are taken to the shelter is litter box abandonment, this is a way to keep an older companion and yourself both happy.

I have tried every sort of diaper for my Senior Maltese who is experiencing incontinence in her old age. I love that fact that you can reuse the unsoiled diaper with the diaper tabs. Due to her silky fur and shape of her back I found them slipping off. Soooo with a little creativity I put her harness on and used a baby mitten clip to create a doggy suspender! Attach one end to the top of the diaper and the other to the harness. IT WORKS PERFECTLY! Now my senior dog can roam freely about the house. She really doesn't mind wearing them, she is very comfortable and used to the idea of wearing diapers. I give this product 5 STARS!!! There is nothing better on the market, trust me, I have spent loads of $$$$ trying to find something.

Buy Simple Solution Disposable 12 Diapers Now

I have to say that in my case these were just the perfect solution! Since I bought them recently, I don't know what the issue with the tabs was, but they work just fine these days.

Here's the background...

I have a 19 year old kitty who is the love of my life (I know, can you say "cat lady?") and he recently became completely blind. :( While he doesn't suffer from incontinence, the place is relatively large and he often can't find his way to the box. So, after going around in circles or zigzagging the room for a while, he will finally just pee.

After the second time I saw this happen, I decided that I needed to try something quickly. I had originally purchased these about 9 months ago, for a diabetic cat I had who passed on last year. That cat wouldn't let me even try to get the diapers on him. He would fight and scream, you would think I was trying to kill him! But my little angel (I know, more cat lady talk...), being the adorable creature he is, lets me put these on him and it's been just wonderful.

He still circles the room a few times because I just can't convince him that it's ok to do it wherever he is, but he has been using diapers 24/7 and they work great. I usually change him a couple of times a day or so, one pack with 12 lasts about a week. The only thing is that it can be a little messy sometimes when solid things aren't quite as solid as they should be (if you get what I mean...), but I use these combined with pet wipes (that will become baby wipes once I finish the pack I am currently using, since he no longer grooms himself and I know he won't lick the chemicals) and it works just fine.

So, if you have a kitty and wonder if these would work, my certified cat lady opinion is that you'll be fine with these if your kitty allows you to put them on and doesn't remove them. I'd say an old cat who no longer grooms him/herself would probably be fine with it.

By the way, my kitty is very skinny due to his age, and he was a pretty normal average size for a cat (remember the cat in Pet Cemetary? That's what he looks like). If your cat is larger, you should definitely get a larger size or two. I haven't seen the small diapers, but from the size of the medium ones, I would think they are very, very tiny.

Good luck!

Before we found this product, we had a big mess on our hands, and all over the carpet. My husband was shampooing the carpet so much that the motor burned out on our machine. My daughter told me to look for doggie diapers. After I stopped laughing, I began looking. These diapers are definitely part of a miracle. The dog is happier since we aren't yelling at her for making a mess, and we are happier since we won't have to replace the carpet! They fit the dog just like they fit babies, except for the hole for the tail. At 14 years old, my dog is very happy. We love those doggie diapers!

The Pet Loo Indoor Yard Pet Toilet 33 " x 33"

The Pet Loo Indoor Yard Pet Toilet 33 ' x 33'I've owned this potty for about 3 years now, purchased it direct from the manufacturer for twice this price. I know all the ups and downs by this point and would like to share them with you.

History:

Originally we used potty pads in a litter box. They were very expensive. Our male dog would miss half the time and the pee would get underneath the pad (gross). Overall a disaster.

So we bought a PupHead indoor potty. Well the grass that came with it stunk to high heaven! Not only that, it was a nightmare to clean. After that waste of money, we searched for something that would seem to make up for the PupHead's downfalls. We came across the Pet Loo.

The good:

* The design is actually better than a lot of the potties out there that don't have any kind of container to drain the pee into. The drain container is by far the nicest part of this potty and the only saving grace.

* I'm going to be honest. We don't follow the directions. We do not clean or empty this thing every day. However, we have two dogs and they fill the pee container within 4 days which is nice because that means 4 days of not having to deal with their pee.

The bad:

* When the pee container is at least 1/3 full and the dogs jump off of the potty, the pea will splash into the inside of the potty causing a headache to clean! Bad design.

* The grass is a very horrible design/quality. It has a rubber bottom with a hole here and there so the pee soaks into it and you cannot ever get the smell out after that.

* The grass bottom disintegrates after a month or so of use and wash.

* The pee container gets very gross no matter what you do.

* The plastic diversion grid under the grass becomes stained and gross.

The hard learned tips:

* Buy yourself some Glad Press and Seal plastic wrap and coat the entire pee container. Every time you empty the container, replace the plastic wrap. It keeps the container like new and it's dirt cheap compared to the plastic ones you can buy!

* If you want, you can even coat the pee grid under the grass with plastic wrap (do it like roofing a house).

* Throw away that garbage grass. Go to pupgear corp (the makers of PupHead potty) and purchase the synthetic dog grass. You'll have to cut the grass to fit the potty. IMPORTANT: Make sure it does NOT have the "Natural Attractant" because it smells WORSE than the PEE!!!

* When you do a full wash of your potty grass (from PupHead), first rinse all of the pee out of it (because it has amonia which is bad to mix with bleach) and once the water runs clear, soak it in water with bleach. The bleach will remove all smell!

* I put the potty up against the wall. I have a male dog that likes to pee against the wall as a target. I bought a sheet of plexy glass from Home Depot. They cut it to my specs. I put one edge in the potty and the other is resting against the wall. Now when he pees against the wall the pee instead hits the plexy glass and this diverts the pee into the potty instead of behind it.

This tip is not a must but might help those with dogs that have aiming problems.

* I bought a water diversion base for a clothes washer and put it under the potty. My male dog misses (they just can't aim to save their lives), sometimes he also thinks he's on the potty just because his front paws are on there and his entire back half is on the floor. If he does miss, instead of going on the floor, it goes into the water basin which is a lot easier to clean than tile (The grout acts like a channel and carries the pee all over the room). This can be found at hardware stores like Lowes or Home Depot.

I hope this helps those of you who have put forth a bit of money on this very imperfect potty system. If it does help or you have more tips, please leave comments.

I have 3 chihuahuas (2 boys and 1 girl) and I live in a condominium. Prior to the Pet Loo, they were trained to use potty pads while I'm out. This was fine when i had one chihuahua but as I added my other 2 kids, buying the pads became costly. Also, when they use the pads, they get their feet wet or the wee will flow out of the pad on to the bathroom floor. So my fiancee and I looked for an alternative and found this.

I let the dogs inspect the product first then put them on the grass. Then, I took one of the soiled pee pads and rubbed it on the grass. I then removed all the pads and placed the Pet Loo where the pads where. I put the dogs on the grass again one by one making sure they smell the pee that I rubbed on it. By the end of the day, they were using the pad to pee. It took them a 3-4 days more to figure out it was safe to poop on it too. I was so proud and happy because they love it. oh and the boys will pee on it too even if they're used to lifting their leg, they do a combination of squatting and lifting their leg.

PROS:

1. Unlike the other products like the Pet Loo, the plastic foundation is very strong. we travel with it often. it's not flimsy at all and can support the weight of a large dog.

2. It's easy to clean. other products don't have the drainage system that the pet loo has (the cabinet you can remove that contains the wee)

3. It decreases the smell. when using puppy pads, pee is left out in the open and it smells really bad if you don't get to it right away.

4. The dogs don't get their paws wet. since the wee is drained, their feet aren't soaked in it.

5. My dogs found it a no-brainer. they understood what it was, they frequently go on grass so they got it right away. just train them and praise them. don't give up!

6. It's an investment. I don't have to rely on buying pads!

7. Lessens wastage. I don't have to throw away the pads (because I'm not using them) and it lessens garbage (as well as the smell of the garbage)

CONS:

1. You have to buy a separate synthetic grass pad. You must wash the grass and it's helpful to have an extra one to put there while you're drying out the other. BUT this isn't the only reason. the Grass that comes with this order is of poor quality. it just feels like plastic (from thin plastic bags). the separate grass i got from this how ever was nicer and stronger

2. when you first buy it or clean it, the grass will shed quite frequently. I've had it for a while and there's no bald patches but for the first few times, you'll have strands of green plastic falling off

Overall, we are very happy with this product and wish we had it a long time ago. :)

I have had this pet loo for 3months and I am fed up with this thing! It is too hard to clean and even if I use natures miracle or bleach I can still smell the urine in the synthetic grass. The synthetic grass fell apart when I was cleaning it. The pet loo does have a tray to hold the liquid but the tray is too hard to clean. I followed the full instructions on how to clean the pet loo and it didn't work. I had to purchase another synthectic grass that also fell apart. In full aspect this is a great idea but not fully thought out. It was a really expensive purchase and it worked for the first month but keeping it longer is not an option especially since we are on the go all the time. I spend to much time cleaning this system and messy! Buy the PORCH POTTY it is so easy!!!

I love this product. When we got our puppy, we decided to indoor train him for our convenience more than his! First we tried the puppy litter box products from recycled newspaper which was a disaster. Then we used training pads...they worked really well, but it was rather nasty to look at yellow-stained pads in the house (we changed them often, but this little guy just saw that as a challenge!). Finally, we bought the Pet Loo and things turned around. It only took our little dachshund about 5 days to fully transition from potty pads to the Pet Loo. It's a great product, but you do have to commit to the maintenance.

First, you have to flush it with hot water each night to rinse out any excess urine. Then, you have to really give it a good hosing off once a week. It's really important for the pad to dry, otherwise you'll have a funky damp urine smell in the house (I should know!).

We bought a replacement pad shortly after getting the Pet Loo. Now, we use one pad all week (with nightly rinsings) and switch them on the weekend so we can wash the dirty one and let it dry before putting it back on the unit. Switching back and forth between the two pads is the best solution to keep the potty area smelling nice in the house.

This has really been a good solution for us and our puppy has never been happier!

Want The Pet Loo Indoor Yard Pet Toilet 33 " x 33" Discount?

The "grass" is very, very poor quality. It's not grass-like at all, it is actually tied pieces of plastic and sheds easily. My dogs won't go near it. I have tried everything but they refuse to use it. I wonder if the turf was a higher grade, would my dogs use it?

Cycle Dog Reflective Dog Collar - Recycled Bicycle Tubes

Cycle Dog Reflective Dog Collar - Neon Green - MediumLove this collar. My dog is a swimmer so when it gets wet, it never stinks like the others. That was our main reason for the purchase. Easy to clean. Love the reflective aspect as well.

I purchased this thinking what a GREAT idea. The stitching quality was very poor so I returned it. Also, I found out there is lead in recycled tires and I do not want lead against my pet.

This product is so awsome! Ya know how sometimes your 130 lb. Dog wants to walk you? Well, when he tries, your hand won't have rope burn from this leash. It's easy to grip and no pain at all. Very ingenuious too, Save the earth and our hands all at the same time. Awesome creativity to the inventor and the guy smart enough to invest in him.

Sturdy, dries fast. Bright color is fun and reflective stripe is a great safety feature. I like it is made from recycled material

NOTE: I've had this product for a year at least and wanted to mention that it is very stretchy Our dog pulled his head out of the collar a couple of times. Just keep this in mind if your dog pulls a lot, you may need to connect your leash to a different collar or harness during walks so they cannot escape. However our dog also got out of our yard late at night (gate was left open on accident) and the collar reflecting was the only way I could see our black dog in the dark to find him!

Our dog loves the water. His previous collars we would have to wash weekly due to the stench the collar would retain. We have had this collar now for months and have not had to wash it. Smells like the day we got it. Great product! The bottle opener is a brilliant idea too! Very pleased with this product!

PoochieBells Dog Potty Training Doorbell, Merlot

PoochieBells Dog Potty Training Doorbell, MerlotWe live in a townhouse, so we can't see our front door. Our poor pup would sit at the bottom of the stairs waiting to go out, but we would never know it. I didn't want her to bark to let me know I do not like dogs that bark a lot.

So we tried these and they work great! It only took about 2 times to train my lab to ring the bells if she wanted to go out. Now, even if I'm cooking in the kitchen with the TV on, I can still hear her jingle the bells!

Word to the wise though, be sure you are getting the REAL Poochie Bells (they will have a little bone shaped tag near the top). The brand name Poochie Bells have very sturdy and LOUD jingle bells. I tried to save a few bucks by getting a cheaper knock-off on ebay for our cabin, and the bells are smaller and cheap and do not ring nearly as loudly. I ended up getting the real Poochie Bells and tossing the knock-off into the trash.

I realized that my puppy did not have a way to tell me he needed to go. He would come over to me and I thought he just wanted scratched and the next thing you know he had an accident. Now he rings the bell and I know he has to go out and we no longer have accidents. It was an easy thing to teach him too, everytime we went out we rung the bell and he eventually caught on and it only took a couple of days, our other dog started using it too.

Buy PoochieBells Dog Potty Training Doorbell, Merlot Now

Mixed success with this product. Threemonth-old puppy played with it at first, but soon learned to ring bells to go out. Then he learned to ring bells whenever he wanted me to give attention. Probably thinking "It's about time she got a call system so I don't have to whine and howl when she leaves the room".

Also, I bought 2 large bells at a craft store for $2.50 and strung together for the porch door, which works as well. I am still using it, but the sound isn't necessarily a potty call!

It's true, I could have just bought some ribbon and attached bells to it... But, 1) I wouldn't have gotten around to it and 2) this looks MUCH better than my final product would have been.

Very well made and looks like it will last a while!

Want PoochieBells Dog Potty Training Doorbell, Merlot Discount?

My puggle doesn't bark, so when he has to go out, he would scratch the door. This way, he rings the bell and let's everyone know he has to do his business without ruining the door and it works perfectly!! All other bells I got he would rip when he tried to ring them, this one is nice and strong and he can hit it as many times and he wants without ripping it down. If you're looking for a dog bell, this is absolutely the one! It's nice too cause it has snaps if you wanted to make the bell string shorter, nice to have that option! :)

Guardian Gear® 6' Cotton Training Leads for Dogs

Guardian Gear 6-Feet Cotton Web Dog Training Lead, BlackI was disappointed to say the least. I currently use another 6 inch 100% cotton lead that I purchased from a dog trainer for about the same price. That lead is thick and very soft and my favorite lead to use because it does not dig into my hand when my young beagle pulls on it. It is just the right length (I find 5 feet leads too short). It has begun to fray, however, because our dog gnawed on it, so I wanted to find a replacement. The lead I bought from Amazon turned out to be much thinner and doesn't feel like 100% cotton. All I know is that it hurts my hand, so I don't use it anymore for our beagle.

I had a four foot leash that was just a bit too short. It was really soft, but I wanted something longer. My dog has a bad habit of pulling sometimes, I admit that. I've been training him to walk beside me. I let him go to the bathroom a bit farther away from me. Sometimes I don't want to go onto the grass (some irresponsible dog owners don't pick up after their dogs) and a longer leash would allow me to let him sniff around at a reasonable distance without him pulling me. And don't worry. I always pick up after my dog.

I bought the leash in black and the length is good. I definitely like the extra two feet. My old leash was not long enough. The only problem is the leash is not soft at all. It really hurts my hand when I correct my dog when he strays a bit too far or when he pulls. The material is a bit too rough. I'm not going to return it because it's just not worth paying the shipping to send it back, and I'm not going to return my dog! I guess there's more training to do, but I still wish it was softer. Maybe it'll soften up after a few uses. Hopefully!

Edited to Add: I'm getting used to the leash. It doesn't hurt my hand as much now. I added one star. I do wish it was a bit softer, but it's not as rough as when I first used it.

You get what you pay for! Fairly inexpensive. Puppy (toy breed) just shredded right through it. I wouldn't recommend it unless your dog is toothless.

My only complaint is with myself I should have bought a ten foot lead so my inquisitive terrier wouldn't be struggling to go a few feet farther into the brush.

AETERTEK Waterproof Rechargeable 1000 Yards Remote Contol LCD Display Remote 4-in-1 Dog Training Col

AETERTEK Waterproof Rechargeable 1000 Yards Remote Contol LCD Display Remote 4-in-1 Dog Training Collar with Shock,Vibration,Ultrasonic Sound, and Auto Anti-bark for 1 DogIt came! Works great. Instructions are a little confusing, but within about half an hour we got the tester to light more than once and tried it on or dog. only thing I've noticed is sometimes it beeps at her (not a shock) when she is just laying down moving around, others it seems to miss a bark...for the most part though it works great and is already making a huge difference in our year old rottweiler who went nuts any time someone went by. Everything is on level three, the shock is on level 2. She definitely respects it and recognizes that beep warning in bark mode. I love that it has a warning beep in bark mode, and doesn't just shock her. She is able to adjust her behavior to avoid a shock. Great training tool if used properly. Like I said it does miss a bark here and there, so carrying the remote for now is a must. However, I have seen a huge difference in her just in the first 24 hours. This is a great value because it has both a shock training collar and a bark collar function. At the pet store there are no collars that even compare...they are not waterproof, and the ones that are lack any bark feature. I would recommend this collar to anyone!

This item was a great buy. The instruction are a little confusing at first and they are necessary. I spent a bit of time trying to figure it out without them and finally gave up and got the instruction. On the good things this thing is very humane. I hate it when people look at it and think it is so in humane to give dogs shock collars and they turn around and hit their dog. In addition you do not have to shock your dog either. After associating the beep and vibrations with the shock then that is all you need to do most of the time to correct their actions. This eliminates ever having to put a hand on your dog aside from praise. The shock feature is nothing like a stun gun which I have heard the question before. It is simply a shock and does not leave any marks or hurt the dog, just gets their attention with some displeasure. Within two days there was almost a complete turn around in our dogs attitude. We can now walk her without a leash and she never runs to far in front and doesn't bug other people without our OK. You do have to recharge the battery about every 3 days if you leave it on constantly but it last a week+ if you only use it when you know you are going to be training your dog.

Hope this helped any of you who are looking at purchasing this product.

Product works perfectly, no flaws or defects in craftsmanship, training collar used properly trains a dog INSTANTLY, even a stubborn, strong-willed, energy-filled, confident dog like mine. Despite my best human intentions, there are just some things I have not been able to train her using any other means, and this shock collar only needed to be used once. Now she only needs to see the remote or the collar to immediately get her behavior under control. I do feel a little guilty bc I don't like to train with pain, but hey, momma dogs do, so...Tip: make sure the intensity is set very low before you use it! I'm amazed how many shock intensity settings there are on this thing I use it on the lowest, I can't imagine every using it on the highest. I have had this for almost a year and break it out periodically to retrain on particularly challenging behaviors in my 1 year old australian shepherd. I haven't had a single one of the other problems that any of these other reviewers are talking about, and highly recommend this product, which I bought after EXTENSIVE research.

The receiver and transmitter would not sync 90% of the time EVEN though I followed the directions to the tee. I am returning it for a refund. My dog is still running with my car out of our property and into the road (I have too many acres to fence it). Now I've wasted several weeks trying to make that stupid thing work and her life is still in danger... we are no better off.
