This is my third one (in six years) and I really like how it works. We used it for puppy training to keep our dog nearby or attached somewhere and also for walks. I also use it for running handsfree. It's starting to wear out and we're getting a new puppy soon. I also like Sara's book plus others for training.

Remote Dog Training Shock Collar for 1 Dog

Our rescue dog had been locked in an apartment bathroom for 10-12 hours a day since he was 6 weeks old. When his owner decided to give him up at 8-1/2 months of age, he had raging hormones, had had no training whatsoever, no socialization, no shots--nothing. Needless to say, he was a wild child! Moving from a city apartment to 10 acres (2 of which are fenced homesite) with cattle, cats, poultry, children and another (grumpy & old) dog was sensory overload for him to put it mildly. Leash training went extremely well, he learned that counter surfing was not okay, we're still working on jumping up on people, and he does have a problem with submissive urinating on occasion. Those are workable and solvable problems though given some time. But despite our best efforts (and we are experienced dog owners), there were some behaviors that we just could not curb and these unfortunately were somewhat urgent as they were getting worse by the day. He had decided that chasing the cats and the chickens was great fun, as well as digging under the fence to get to the calves and roam the pastures. And while I know these were just instinctive behaviors, they are also behaviors that could have disastrous results--both for the livestock and him. We have neighbors who will shoot dogs that roam the pastures and go after their cattle and he needed to learn that the fence was his roaming boundary.

When I received the shock collar (in record fast time!), I opened the package to inspect the contents. Everything was exactly as described, seemed very "sturdy" and the batteries were charged and ready to go; I just needed to read the instructions. While I haven't ever used a shock collar personally, I was familiar with the concept and knew that we would start out with the lowest settings and only graduate to the stronger currents if necessary. I strapped the unit onto the collar, fastened it around his neck and took him out on-leash. Up to this point we had been working with a choke collar at the fence/perimeter with a tug and stern "NO" each time he neared the fence, but the drive to get to those calves was just too strong and he could not help himself from trying to dig or cross the cattle guard. For this session, I walked the fence with him and as before he wanted out and continued to ignore me. Two tugs on the choke collar did nothing, so the next time he attempted it I gave him a light shock with the shock collar. His reaction was instant (and I will say somewhat comical, though I did feel bad about it). He gave a little hop in the air and immediately planted his but on the ground and looked at me as if to say "WHAT was that?" I praised him for his sit, and we continued down the fence line towards the spot he had just dug at earlier in the day. I let go of the leash and let him roam and he made a beeline for his hole. As he stuck his nose down to crawl under, I immediately gave him another slight shock as I said "NO!" He turned around and came back to me to sit. Though I never leave him out alone, I spent the next two days letting him roam the yard alone when I would take him out. Each time he approached the fence or cattle guard and was obviously thinking of going under/across, I would give him a shock and warn "NO!" (and on most occasions I was anywhere from 75-200 yards from him so the range is great!). I'm happy to report that after just 2-1/2 days it seems he has gotten the message as far as the fence is concerned. Just prior to writing this I watched him come within 2 feet of the fence, consider his options (with two calves standing just on the other side) and turn around and come back to me. We now begin the training of leaving the chickens alone but I don't think it will take him long. I used it ONCE (again on the lowest shock level) as he stepped over the threshold of the open coop when I was cleaning and he now makes a wide path around the chicken coop.

I will say here that I have decided not to use the "vibrate" feature--not as a negative but just as an fyi. My dog seems to be very sensitive to it and the vibrate option seemed to scare him more than the shock itself. However, I can see that it might be useful to a dog that is more obstinate or has a higher prey drive than mine.

Overall, this was by far the quickest and best $ I have spent on a dog product in many years. And while I was initially reluctant to use it, it turned out to be the saving grace for my sanity--and possibly my dog's life by way of the instant consequence and continued reinforcement. All of the "pieces" seem to be very well made, and come nicely boxed. OH, and I did test each setting on myself prior to first use just to make sure I wasn't going to harm him--the graduated levels are noticeable and you should take the time to evaluate which setting your dog might require. Don't start out with the highest level, but the lowest and work your way up and you'll find the setting that works for both of you.

I have a 60 lb 2yo Pit mix who is kept in a crate all day while I'm at work. When I get home he's starved for attention and shows ithe gets into EVERYTHING. It doesn't help I live in a 3 story house with 3 female roommates (and 2 cats) who leave trash cans unguarded, clothes on the floor, and doors open all the time. By the time I make it up the stairs to correct him, he's already ingested a tampon.... NOT SAFE. I've tried gates, positive reinforcement, offering alternatives like toys, Caesar's sounds and touches... he just doesn't listen.

I finally broke down and bought this "shock" collar. I put "shock" in parenthesis becaue I very RARELY have to use the shock settingthe vibration works just fine to deter my little brat. I tell him NO, wait, tell him NO again, and if he still doesn't listen I hit him with the vibrate. No lie, after the first night of using the vibrate he has started listening to my voice commands alone!!! Sometimes I say no, he doesn't listen, and I just have to reach for the remote and he stops. It's amazing after a week of owning this productI feel like I have my life back!

Absolutely excellent. I'm a fairly picky person and expect that in today's technological times we can produce products that work and function properly. This product has been outstanding! Excellent quality, great range, very flexible and most importantly: it works!!!

Charge it up, attach it onto the dogs existing collar or use the collar provided. The electrodes do not have to jam into the dogs neck, we attached it quite loose. Now get this: my dog entirely responded to the vibrate mode alone, I never needed to use the shock feature! In less then 3 days my dog stopped running outside our gates and into the street.

True story: at night I open our front gates as I walk out to our mailbox to put some paperwork in it (my crews pick-up the paperwork each morning). Last night I went out to put stuff in the mailbox....as I approached our gate our dog started to run towards me, I also noticed a mini-van coming down the street at a very fast rate...had the dog bolted past me, it would have been a perfect collision; all I had to do was say "wait" and our dog stopped and did not run out into the street. As the speeding mini-van passed (at excessive speed). I noticed a teenager laying on top of the roof grabbing onto the roof rack! Just some High School kids goofing off....but just imagine my dog having run right out in front of that mini-van...hard brakes, maybe a swerve, potential loss of control...and what about the dumb-ass kid laying on top? Yeah, pretty ugly. It never happened, and this device is what curbed that behavior. Definnitely 5-stars!

Like others I first purchased this remote shock collar due to its low price and generally good reviews. I was a bit concerned about having sealed rechargeable batteries and, sure enough, after a couple of months the collar unit went dead and would not accept a charge.

I then purchased a second unit (the price had gone down quite a bit). When it arrived I noticed that the red light on the collar unit was a bright red, indicating a good charge. However, the next day the collar unit was dead, and would not charge. I thought `dud', and made a mental note to return it to Amazon.

Doing some internet research I found a Canadian seller who sold just the collar unit (i.e., no remote) for a good price. Since I liked how the unit worked on my dog I ordered it.

The seller gave instructions on how to `pair' your old remote with the new collar unit, to wit: using a small Phillips screwdriver, remove the screw found on the collar unit; next, stick a toothpick or pin into the hole left by the screw and press down gently; when the red light begins to blink, press the `vibrate' button (the small middle one) on your remote (which should be next to the collar unit); when the red light becomes steady, your remote and collar unit are paired.

As I was doing this, I noted that using the toothpick or pin method also seemed to turn the collar unit on or off (if you do not apply steady pressure, but a quick poke). I quickly pulled out the `dud', removed the screw, inserted the toothpick, and lo and behold! The unit turned on! It works perfectly now. I guess that the unit had turned itself off somehow. I now wish I had not tossed the original unit: perhaps it had turned itself off too.

Anyway, for those who receive a `dud', try this method. As for the collar itself, we like it. It works well on our 80 pound dog, with a thick coat. To date we have not had to use the `shock': he responds beautifully to the vibration.

I was pretty reticent about using a dog zapper, but I was at my wit's end in training my German Shepherd not to run away when he was off leash, and to come when called. He was otherwise obedient, but I could not shake his idea that being off leash was a game for him to play catch-me-if-you-can. The ACME 210.5 was recommended in a number of gundog and whistle training articles (yay for google). It's solidly constructed and comes with a handy key ring on the end for attaching a lanyard. It's a faint sound for humans but our dog instantly came to investigate the high frequency sound. Time to get structured training in place!

I bought this to call my Black Lab in when she's out in the woods. After a few days of combining the whistle with my usual yelling she associated the whistle with the "come" command.

I have a 2 year old mix breed Maltese-Shih Tzu and he is trained to the point where when I snap my fingers, he would lay down; give him commands such as, "sit", "lay down", "come", "stay", "leave it", "eat your food", "drink your water", "get in the house", "crate", "go to bed", and "get your toy". He can also roll over, play dead, beg and stand up on his hind legs.

Yes, my dog is trained (I trained him myself)and knows all these commands, but, he would only follow these commands, when HE wanted to (or when treats were available to him). He was also very very hyper. When I come home from work, he would rip and run through out the apartment without stop for the entire evening until it was time to go to bed. He would bark randomly at whatever, whenever and would not stop barking even after I give him the command "leave it!" or "be quiet!". When I would take my naps on the couch, he would jump and hop on me, bite and scratch me and would not listen to the commands "No!" or "Get down!". He would listen, however, when I slam my hand on the coffee table and give the command, "Get In Your Crate!".

Walking him was also a huge task for me. Although he learned the command "Heel!", I had to constantly repeat myself when we were walking past people in the street and other dogs/cats. If someone rode past us on a bicycle on the sidewalk, my dog would completely lose his mind. Every time a human being passed us on the same side of the street, he would try and jump on them. When there were people across the street (especially with dogs), he would strain and pull to run across the street to bother them. If a car passed us, he would freak out and tangle my legs up with the leash with his attempt to get away from the noise.

I have watched the Dog Whisperer on TV and I follow some of the training suggestions that Ceaser used, such as making sharp sounds with your mouth to get the dog's attention verses screaming "NO!"---and it worked for the most part with my dog....for all of about 3 seconds and then he went right back to what he was doing.

Now, with this remote trainer, I have none of those problems. He walks calmly next to me (without a leash). Only a couple times did I have an issue with him wanting to play with a dog that was passing us on the street, but it didn't take him long to learn that when he hears the tone, he is doing something wrong and the next step would be the static. As soon as he hears the tone, he corrects his action, which is perfect!

He doesn't run rampant around my apartment for no apparent reason; he sits calmly next to me on the floor. He doesn't bark at nothing incessantly, and with time, I want to see if he will quit destroying my personal items.

Thanks to Petsafe Remote Trainer, I have a completely different dog than what I have been dealing with for the last 2 years. I will continue to use Petsafe Remote Trainer to train my dog. Luckily, my dog is in fact very intelligent and learns quickly, so I use the tone more often with him than I have to use the static (which makes me a very happy pet owner, let me tell you!). I will also continue to use Ceaser's method along with the remote trainer (for those of you who do follow The Dog Whisperer on TV), and of course, continue with positive reinforcements.

I am very pleased with this product (I don't know what that other reviewer was talking about), because this product WORKS. It uses your pet as a bridge for the static (it is not a direct current like electricity. It is static, and it works fantastic! Get's my dog's attention EVERY time I do have to use it), and would recommend it to any pet owner who is needs this form of training when their dog simply chooses to NOT listen, EVER.

I had bought this from PetSmart for $160 and saw the same exact unit on Amazon and other sites for less than $100. To be fair, I"ll give the positive as well as the negative of this product and be as accurate as possible. They may have a new design but same product number, as the ones you may buy at a store will be like mine with more buttons on the hand unit and the hand unit is much smaller. There is a small dog and big dog version of this model, exact same thing just different size collar and box. I spent the extra money and got it from a store because I thought the store would have a warranty return policy...but I asked and they don't. These have to be returned to the company so it defeats the purpose of buying it from a store thinking you can just bring it back if it breaks. Keep that in mind.

It takes 2 watch-style batteries in the hand unit and 2 more in the collar. You WILL go through batteries often, so buy a lot if you purchase this. The unit has 16 different levels of shock, Low 1-8 and High 1-8. It has a beep button, a shock button, a +2 button, a (+) up arrow button and (-) down arrow button. The beep does just that. The shock button, is dependent on how long you press it. It takes a second to kick in, so it is not instantaneous. If you press the button and count to one onethousand, it will then start to shock. The plus and minus arrows just raise and lower the shock levels by 1. The +2 button will jump the shock up two levels when you press it, therefore if you have the current shock level on High 2, it will actually shock at High 4 when it is pressed. The shock itself is not like a nasty Taser shock with an arc or anything...it's just a pulsating shock with the strength of static electricity.

The Positive = It works. I always try the units on myself before ever trying it on my pet, and it did work as it should. Very easy to sync and setup. The controller is small, on the new versions anyway, and has a clip if you want it on your belt. It has a wide range of adjustment so you won't have to worry how big or small your dog is.

The Negative = It isn't strong at all, and this is the main reason I would not purchase this product and will be returning it. Using it on myself, I literally did not even feel a shock up to Low 5. After that, it was nothing but a pulsating tingle at best. When I had to use it on my dog, he did not even flinch or respond AT ALL until level High 3. When used, he just sat there licking the air a little. It wasn't until High 6 that he would wonder what is going on. Mind you, this is level 14 of 16, and he just stares at me. You will have to buy a LOT of batteries, because it only lasts 2 weeks straight before going dead, as even stated on the box. The only way to conserve battery life, would be to turn it on when you think he won't listen and then turn it back off when he does, which is not sensible. To put it into perspective, imagine yourself getting caught in the cookie jar and having to stick your tongue on a 9volt battery. It's nothing but a tingle, if your dog really wants that squirrel he sees or to go run off with that other dog, it won't stop him.

I gave this collar a 2 star rating because it does work, and it can maybe work on certain dogs. If you have a dominant dog with a high prey drive, save your money for something stronger because I PROMISE you that you will be disappointed. I wish I would have read a review like this prior to buying mine. I have a 7 month old Belgian Malinois attack dog, and at 7 months he hardly responds to it when he is calm. It is impossible to think when he becomes an adult and is all amped up, this will do anything but be a paper weight on his neck. My dog is extremely obedient and is trained through positive reinforcement, but when he gets defensive he gets tunnel vision, this is what I need the collar for. That being said, if your dog is NOT a working dog and is of a weaker or smaller breed, it is possible this is all you will need, but it would be a gamble at best. It just simply isn't strong enough to teach or train a big dog and it will cost you in batteries in the long run. Save your money, get a strong one that will last you the life of your dog. It's better to buy a stronger collar and have it turned down, than to buy a weak collar just to find that it doesn't do enough.

I have a 1 yr weimeraner who kept barking at my neighbors. We bought this collar and within a few hours she got the picture. I would only tone her and she would come to the back door and sit. She also loves fetch but wouldn't drop the ball. I would tone her and she would drop the ball immediately. I only returned it because we bought it at the pet store for $160 and knew I could buy it cheaper on amazon. I have since purchased it again for $70.

Somehow, even though this was supposed to be the same product as purchased from a local vendor at almost twice the price, it wasn't anything similar in packaging.

Assuming it is the same product though, our results with training our 83 lb dog with puppy enthusiasm to stop jumping when greeting people was almost unbelievable.

It is a shame these are referred to as "shock" collars, as it makes one very hesitant to even try it. Yes, positive reinforcement training is definitely the first line you should take, along with crate training (doing it correctly, not punitively), but when you have tried and exhausted those, for a behavior as dangerous as jumping up (when the dog is as big or bigger than the people), this collar may be what you need to communicate to the dog.

FIRST -READ THE ENTIRE TRAINING DIRECTIONS. Once you have done that, DO IT AGAIN! Keep doing this, until you actually UNDERSTAND how to use the product.

Before you even set the aversive "shock" level on the collar, you are supposed to spend 48 hours pairing a sound the collar makes with positive reinforcement sound + treat and petting and praise, in different places around your house/yard, etc. (very similar to clicker training.)

Our dog understood

'sit," so we were pairing the noise with praise and treat for sitting.

Then we set the aversive level at the minimum (when the dog actually shows an indication of noticing it, by looking around or shaking its head).

Now here is where it gets to be amazing. We did one trial of having to move from the positive noise when giving the "sit" command when someone came in the front door to offset the jumping behavior, to using the aversive stimulation when the dog failed to sit, and immediately, her butt hit the floor.

She has not jumped up to greet at the door since then, with or without the collar on. It very much seems like she simply didn't understand what we wanted and when, and the collar allowed us to communicate that. Now that she knows, she happily complies.

There are other problem behaviors that we should address, but this was the big safety issue (for humans), and I remain amazed by how quickly the dog learned, once we were able to clearly communicate what we wanted and when.

I have a one year old Golden Retriever who often thinks that she is the one in charge while out on our morning and evening walks, and this product helps me keep my arm in socket during those unexpected jerks after the neighborhood cats. I like the way it works and so far has not failed in anyway. The only problem is some times I change it to number 2 by mistake when it should be on number 1, which again is my fault. I would buy again if needed and I would recommend to anyone. It is a good value!

My black lab could definitely feel the shock. I don't like to shock her, so after a few warnings, we switched to the vibrate. It seems like the device take too long to respond after it falls to sleep. I have to hit the mode button a few times, then I'm checking to make sure it's not on shock, by that time she's annihilated what ever she was getting in trouble for LOL.

I think if you are using this device during a training session, it would be GREAT! As a deterrent of bad behavior using only occasionally, not so much. I love that it is rechargeable, and it doesn't seem uncomfortable for the 75+ lb "puppy". You can't go wrong with the price...

The Dog's Way DVD Training Course

The Dog's Way dvd training program (thedogsway.com) consists of 12 step by step lessons on 5 DVDs including walking on a loose leash, sit, stay, walking next to you in a controlled way, leaving things alone without having to use the "leave it" command, coming when called, staying in a down for 10+minutes, temporary boundaries (staying out of kitchen when eating), permanent boundaries (not going out front door), staying quiet, etc. The program was designed by Master Dog Trainer, Sean McDaniel, and you see him training real dog owners with their clearly untrained dogs. There are before and after videos and you get to see their trial and error with the lessons. The other great thing about this type of training is it does not really on treats. It relies on the pack mentality and the relationship between dog and owner. It is perfect if you don't have the time or money to be able to go to obedience training classes in person. You basically get unlimited access to dog training lessons for the price of one hour of in home dog training or a group class. Personally, I think this is better because you can watch the lessons over and over if you forget something. I really need to hear or see things over and over before they stick in my head so the videos have been great. It also comes with reminder cards that you can take with you when you practice each lesson with your dog. They have a "Do" side and a "Don't" side which I have found quite useful. I am on lesson 4 right now, so I will update more as I go along, but it really works! I always thought that my husband was the "alpha" and that was why my dog listened to him more, but I am finding by following Sean's theory, he listens to me too! Our last boxer was small and she was old by the time we had kids, so we never really trained her. Our new boxer is 65 pounds of energy so we knew we had to train him, especially with the kids around. I highly recommend these videos! You can tell Sean really cares about the relationship between owner and dog and wants you to be able to enjoy your dog more. I can't wait to watch more lessons and practice them.

I got this to replace an older flat stitched leather tug that was just to hard for my late-start older dog to bite on comfortably. I don't have the experience to judge the tug quality itself beyond "it's well made and my dogs love to bite it". However as the person who has to hold it while 70lbs of teeth come snapping up at it, the handles are the PERFECT length. Long enough to keep your hands safetly out of the way even if you mess up a delivery but short enough you have enough control over the tug when actually playing. I also love fact the handles are folded and stitched securely. My younger dog got ahold of the tug outside of training and the folded and stitched handle held up to his teeth until I was able to get it back. Even with the small tear he managed to get in the webbing the handle is still perfectly solid thanks to the construction. My previous tugs didn't have this and once they frayed the webbing would just rip, something that (with a smaller tug) make it really obnoxious to use in training.

This is a great tug for training my Akita "puppy" who weighs around 80 pounds. It works well for dogs that have a strong prey drive. The tug is well constructed, tough, and has usable handles to keep your hands free from the bite zone. I would definitely recommend this product to others, especially since you can't find this at most local pet stores.

Love this show lead. It is affordable and durable as well as washable! I would highly recommend it to other dog fanciers.

This is a nice lead, but the material is stiff and feels a bit sticky. That may wear off with time, but unfortunately whatever is on it makes the dogs want to chew--they have gone through 2..... They are so thin that it doesn't take much for the pups to be able to chew right through them.

BEWARE! These have changed recently!

These pads soak up MUCH less than the old ones.

I've been a long time buyer of these pads, and they *have been* the best, but sadly I cannot continue to recommend them. In the past there was a top layer which kept dry, and allowed the pad to soak beneath. I just received my newest order, and this has been removed, and now the pads have just an absorbent core, exposed. Now even the core is different, taking on a texture of a thick paper towel, instead of the cotton-y soft core in the past. Before messes would stay small, and not spread out, now messes spread out to become **very** large. This makes them no better than any number of other imitators. Sad to say, those imitators are cheaper. We always use Four Paws brand because they lasted twice as long as others, and so the premium in price was worth it to us. Now I'm sure we'll finish this box and be back on the hunt for a better pad.

To be clear: the pads no longer stand out among all the other options out there. So no need to pay the premium. One or two messes from a small shih tzu and they're full!

We've been using these pads for nearly 6 years for 3 small dogs that do not go outside...so we go though a lot of them. The last batch that I ordered are obviously a different design. They are very thin, and they leak.

I believe my dogs have observed that they cannot walk on them without getting their feet wet due to the lack of absorbency, because in the last few weeks they have started to piddle on the very edges of the pads, which of course runs off onto the floor and makes a mess.

I'm trying a different brand and will see how they work, but I don't think I'll be throwing any more money away on these. I know that cost cutting is very important right now for everyone, but I wish companies would give us the option of buying the product we know and like at a higher price point instead of trying to pass off a cheaper version of the old design. After 6 years of using these pads, I can absolutely state that they changed the design recently and it's quite flawed.

These new style pads are AWFUL!! All they do is trap the dog pee under the material, whereas the old version soaked up the liquid really well. Please, please, PLEEEEASE bring back the original wee wee pad style!!!

One of these pads takes the place of FIVE flimsier pads! It's a much easier pick up, and there is no soaking through like other products I've tried. I saw these in a pet store, and since I live on an island, it was my last resort (there weren't any name brand pads there). DC SMALL MEDIUM BIG NO ANTI BARK DOG TRAINING SHOCK COLLAR

1) It works.

2) It is not a Bark Terminator III, it is a knock off, but it works.

3) The instruction refer three times to a diagram, there is none.

4) They sent a diaod, but did not say what it is for.

5) The isntruction talk about the mic behind the strap, but that is not the way the strap goes, that is how you can tell it is a knock off.

6) The electorids looked very large, but once I put it on my dog, it made sense. It fits on both sides of the front of the throat.

7) Because of the way the straps go, the mic can get a few drops of drinking water in it. Not sure how that will effect the long term use.

BUT IT WORKS!!!!

Recommend starting out on a low setting and dialling it up. I started on a medium, and had an instance when she was howling at a passing siren. And got caught in a yelp and sock cycle. Just need to dial it down and sit with her to calm her down.

This was an isolated instance, and I still like the product.

This is a useless piece of junk! Went off randomly when the dog wasn't even barking and scared the piss out of her, literally. Don't waste your money on this junk, you get what you pay for. The fact that the box and instructions were in such poorly written English should have been a hint. Went straight to the garbage, it is not safe or humane for any animal.

This item just did not work. The light was on, but the dog just kept barking anyway. Eventually just took it off because it made no difference. I definitely got what I paid for a dog necklace with prongs and bright red light.

Great for the first 2 days then worthless (Dead) there after. I had read the one review on this product and it was a good review so I was really hoping it would be the same experience for my dog and I but in the end I paid almost $10 for 48 hours of a working product. We are now going to have to invest in a more upper end training collar for our Chloe. We were hoping to have her trained before our family vacation in July but due to the collar purchased through amazon it has set us back not only by the cost of the item but by time.

I purchased this product for a very strong, high prey drive male German Shepherd Dog that just didn't respond obediently in certain situations. His obedience was great 90% of the time until there was a competing distraction e.g. deer. Reward/treat based training only goes so far with a dog that has an overwhelming prey drive.

So about the collar...it's an excellent product. I really like the design and wanted to buy something made by a USA company. I have not been disappointed. Its quality is evident in both the receiver and transmitter. It conceals nicely in your pocket and ergonomics are great. It's very intuitive and provides feedback to the dog as either stimulation or vibration (pager feature is awesome and extremely helpful for getting attention and interrupting behaviors which is not found on most e-collars).

Unfortunately for me, because of my dog's strength and desire to chase prey, I had to add an additional receiver to the collar for added power as he fights through even the biggest corrections sometimes. But the customer service I received from the manufacturer was second to none and they made every effort to make sure I had what I needed to succeed. The owner personally contacted me to correct the issue. I would recommend this collar to anyone seeking a higher level of control on their serious sport/working dog. This product is right up there with Dogtra and Tri-tronics and they will go the extra mile to ensure your satisfaction. Do not hesitate to buy.

I recently purchased the Einstein 800ts collar. I have been using an older Tri Tronics collar for years. I have found this coller to be easy to use and I am able to use much lower levels of stimulation. The stimulation is much smoother as you can dial it up and down as needed without it turning on and off as you change levels. My dog responds very well at very low levels. Working nights I also like the lights on the collar and the ability to turn them off is good too.

Bought the Einstein ET-800TS Remote Training Collar recently to replace a competing product that we have been using for some time. I am very satisfied with this purchase. The transmitter has a very friendly user interface and the controls are quite easy to manipulate, even with cold weather gloves on; the size and form is conveniently compact and comfortable to hold; and the unit has some very unique characteristics, such as the remotely activated collar strobe and / or constant light for night time use and ease of locating your dog. have yet to try out the mile claim but so far no complaints. I bought this for the vibration feature and it was recommended by leerberg. I have a deaf Bull terrier/American bulldog i like to take into the woods and so far this thing has held up and never given me and issue. the vibration isnt the strongest thing but with training my dogs comes as if she was called. If she has starred to go after something or does not want to respond a simple 10-15 static nip is all that is needed for me at least. I have gone all weekend with only one charge and never had the low battery light function and i use the vibration quite often.
