Puppy Training Pads, 23" x 24"

Great pads, great service and great amount for a puppy at a great price.

These pads are ok. They are medical underpads usually used for people who are incontinant. They are a good size but not as absorbant as most regular Dog/Puppy training pads I am used to using. Being a medical pad they do not have any kind of attractant in them. My dog is older and pad trained but he doesn't seem to like this thinner pad. I also don't think that it holds the liquid in as well as a pad that is a bit thicker.

I bought these from Sam's Club based on the reviews everywhere for my puppies. The fact they are larger then the Wee brand pet pads and had polymer in them like Natures Miracle which I love except for the price I tried them. I am totally disappointed and to tell you the truth I would never ever use these for a person they would be laying in thier own urine! According to Dynarex's website these do not have the polymer but I called since some stores are advertising them this way and the girl at the actualy company Dynarex assured me yes it does. I don't see it, my 4lb puppy went and the whole pad was used up by one use! The actual pad you use is not 23x24 but only 19x20 inches the rest is the blue useless sides.making them very small yet another disappointment. You need to use twice as many so the deal you think you are getting you are not as you need to use twice the amount. I used them for one day and just returned them, no you do not get the shipping you paid for them either so don't order alot like I did thinking I was getting a great product! I am now trying the Simple Right brand 23x36 that you can purchase in store to see how these work out.

These pads are much too thin for in house use unless the puppy is very little. The edges did not keep the liquid contained.

Dog Gate-n-Crate for Small to Medium Size Dogs, Extends to 6-feet

This is a well constructed, heavy gate with rubber skid pads for the feet. I liked the quality of the wood. I have a slick wood floor but it doesn't budge when pushed. I have two Westies (13 and 18 lbs) and neither has tried to jump over it. It definitely is for smaller dogs and would not be tall enough for medium to large dogs. While it folds flat, the feet are about 10" long so it takes up quite a bit of space in the closet. It probably wouldn't be a good choice if you have dogs that like to chew wood. Also, you can find it on other sites at lower cost than Amazon. A couple have it at $ 80 with free shipping.

This is a very well made product that is solid and beautiful to look at, BUT my little 8 pound Mini Schnauzer puppy quickly learned to climb over it. The horizontal bars allow it to be climbed like a ladder. So, I'm not exactly sure how that makes this dog suitable for "small to medium size dogs." Otherwise, it's very stable and adapts well to most any size opening that you would have. If you buy this product, I highly recommend training the dog to never place their front feet on the gate. A squirt bottle of water after telling them "off!" seems to work well. The optional rubber pads that stick to the bottom are a joke, the adhesive isn't nearly strong enough and they are falling off within a day or two of assemble. Fortunately, they don't really have a purpose so it's not a problem.

I was looking to purchase a gate, there are so many to choose from. Finally I found this item. BEST CHOICE for what I needed. AND well worth the money, so I bought 2. The wood is excellent quality and easy to put together (way easy) and very sturdy. I use it for outdoors. Since I like it so much I bought a 3rd gate!!!

I should mention I have a Aussy Sheppard as well, 60lbs so far keeps him in as well. He hasn't knocked it over, or tried to jump over.

E-Z Leash

I received the E-Z leash promptly with a handwritten note from the manufacturers. Great customer service and quality of materials used in the product. I initially purchased the item for one of my dogs that seems to get nervous whenever she sees a leash. I thought an integrated leash in collar combo would solve the problem. In theory, this product should work for anyone with a dog that does not pull on the leash. But if like me, you have a dog that pulls, you'll need to keep looking for a different product. The collar is strong and well built. The problem is not quality but rather design. After slipping the collar on and adjusting to fit properly, I set out with my dog, and within a second of her pulling, she was able to loosen the entire length of the collar and leash. Essentially, since the collar is part of the same length of material that connects to the leash, if your dog pulls he'll be able to slip out of the collar. My dog pulled for 2 seconds and the collar that has previously been adjusted to fit her neck, now was was 3 feet wide. Obviously, found myself physically trying to hold on to the dog that no longer had a collar around her neck; collar was so wide it was now around her abdomen. Unless they come up with a clamp or some form of way to keep the collar from loosening I dont see how I'll be able to use the product. I've decided to put it on my other dog, who does not pull, and at least Ive been able to get some use out of it. Wish they mentioned this design limitation in the description so that people with dogs who pull would know ahead of time of this issue.

A friend let me borrow this when i took my dog with me on a trip and i loved it. It was so handy and light weight. My dog didn't even know anything other than his regular collar was on him and i had a safety net in case he tried to run away or a strange dog was running at us or any other danger that comes up. When I used the leash part of the collar, it was so quick and easy and didn't scare him at all. I loved it so much I bought my own. It's well worth the price for the piece of mind.

This collar and leash combo is FABULOUS! The collar appears to be very comfortable on my dog and having an emergency leash is priceless. If you need to get a quick hold of your dog or if you have forgotten a separate leash, you just grab the velcro handle and you immediately have a short leash. Automatic No-Bark Collar

Product did as described. I personally found it inhumane and horrifying. I used this on my little dog and he writhed in pain as I ran to him. Each time he would cry the shocks intensified and so would his cries of pain. It was a never ending cycle and I couldn't get to him fast enough. NEVER AGAIN!

Our recently rescued dog barked non-stop. It only took one severe jolt from the no bark collar and her yelp for us to send it back. All we have to do is show her a spray water bottle and not actually spray her and the barking stops. We are all happy.

I bought this crate for shipping my 70lb Malamute/Shepherd from Seattle to Hawaii. It worked perfectly, got him to me safe and sound, and turns out to be a great on-the-go carrier as well.

In researching carriers I decided to go with a bigger than necessary carrier as my dog is fluffy and tall. This way he would pass muster at the airport. The carrier was delivered timely and without a problem. It was even easily assembled by my not quite mechanically inclined father. The carrier is solidly molded plastic with metal screws and plastic nuts that hold the two halves together. There are two screws at the door (one on each side), three along each side, and two in the back. The screws also have a square neck at their base allowing them to 'lock' into the bottom half of the carrier and not unscrew themselves in transit. There are full panels of large vents on all three sides (*back included*) on the top half of the carrier. I went with this style mainly because my dog is a bit of an escape artist and I read reviews of the other 'set-in' wire vents being popped out. It is also one of the few large carriers that has venting in the back to be IATA compliant. The door is a simple squeeze type lock, that rotates on a single stationary rod. The metal rods protrude into small molded cavities for each contact point (not just a hole) making it nice and secure. There are also pre-drilled zip-tie holes to even more securely lock the door. They even got these right putting one hole on each side at the top corners of the door, one on each side on the bottom corners of the door, and one on each side in the middle of the door sides and staggered it so one side zips to the top half of the carrier, and the other zips to the bottom half. They also have pre-drilled airplane tie down holes in the corners of the lip where two halves meet. The bottom of the carrier has a raised center area creating an approximately 2 inch border "moat" around the outer edge of the crate bottom that helps pool any fluids away from the dog should they be unable to control themselves on the scary flight. It does not come with a carry handle on the top of the carrier (it's too heavy to carry like that) but does have built in carry grips on the sides of the carrier. The camouflage color is actually subtle and not obnoxious at all. The bottom half is solid dark green. I am very pleased with the carrier and definitely recommend it for your pet transport needs.

Oh, the only down side. For travel purposes it does not come with food/water bowls, or required 'live animal' stickers. But those are easily found here on Amazon, or at your local pet store.

Couldn't be more pleased with this crate. Solid plastic. Good construction. Door works fine. Doesn't look bad.

Goughnut Black Ball Rubber Dog Chew Toy

We have an 85 pound lab/shepherd/pit mix who can decimate a piece of firewood in under 20 minutes, reducing it to splinters (an honest 21" diameter piece of white oak firewood). We've bought "invincible chains", which lasted 5 minutes. We've bought "tire tough" toys, which lasted 10 minutes. The Kong Black toys lasted a few weeks. One of the things that makes our dog so effective at destroying items isn't her pure bite strength, but rather her intelligence. She identifies weak points in toys and persists until she's wrecked them. With the Goughnuts brand toys, there are no weak points. This is particularly important since we let her have one in her crate at night ... otherwise, she'll destroy her bedding

Besides, we probably spent $200 on "chew toys" that lasted her 5-30 minutes before being destroyed. This one costs $28, is safe for your pet, and they'll unconditionally replace it if your dog manages to breach the safety margin ... forever. How is that not a great value?

The ball and stick toys from them that we own are labeled "interactive play item, not intended as a pure chew toy". If they get destroyed, I'm not taking them up on their guarantee, because I'm letting our dog use them as a chew toy. I'll take away the damaged one, and buy her another. She's been working on them for almost a year now, and I haven't had to live up to that intent yet. They all look nearly brand new.

I have a pitbull and they are knowing as being super chewers. I did not think I could ever find a toy that MoMo could not kill in a matter of minutes. The pet store recommend a chew toy made of fire hose nope 5 minutes and that was destroyed. Next they recommended this tire with a rope well I knew the rope had no chance but a tire ok worth a shot. Well the tire set a record at 30 minutes before MoMo bit a huge monster chunk out of it. Now for the goughnut. We have a winner. MoMo can bareley leave a tooth mark and will chew and chew until he has fallen a sleep with it in his mouth or all slobbered to death next to him. If your dog has chewed thru everything you have tried then you need to go all out and get a goughnut plus if they do kill it then its only $4.95 shipping to replace it.

My dog (60lb Lab) is a "power chewer", he's destroyed 2 black Kongs already. I use them for reward only, so it's not like he gets to just chew on them all day either. Our Dalmatian picked up on it fast and we have never had a problem. with our home layout and out buildings our effective range is 175 ft which gives our dogs ample room. their collar is cheap and flimsey so we got a leather one from TSC and popped two holes in it for the screws and fastened the prongs over the collar on the screws. have yet to have a problem other than the battery dies once a day so changing the battery has just become another daily chore. Get up, feed dogs, change batteries, put old ones in charger. but we always put them on before letting them out and take them off in the house. Like all other things with dogs it becomes habit. we are looking forward to visiting our cabin and taking the base and collars with us. I love the portability of this thing. just make sure you hang up the collars or put them on a shelf so they cant chew them up.

the cons are the battery needs to be replaced ever other day, which means you constantly have to charge batteries, and the constant changing of batteries wore out the tangs on the inside of the collar unit and now it will not work properly at all, it took just over a year, so now I am not warrentied. Batteries only last two or three days. If the batteries lasted a week, I would give this product five stars! I got this specifically as a "show" collar for a very large and heavy (~120lbs) dog. I got the 24" size and it did just fit over his head. I was initially concerned about whether the chain would hold if I really needed to restrain him, since the link size is very delicate-looking. I had no issues using this at all, and it held even when I had to pull him away from another dog. For the show ring, it disappears completely since my dog has a ruff of neck fur. Nice!

My dogs are large and strong and I walk three at a time so I need to have control. These collars slide smoothly so they don't stay tight, they release right away. Because they are thin they get the dogs attention, but they don't damage their coats. I use these collars every day and when I take them off you can't tell the dogs ever had a collar on. My dogs all have long bright white fur on their necks and have experienced discoloration from other collars but not from these. As with any choke style collar I do not allow my dogs to run loose or play wearing these for safety reasons. I highly recommend the Guardian Gear Chrome Snake Dog Chains for obedience work. R2 Fish School Complete Fish Training Kit

Got the training kit and think it is pure genius. I have been in the professional animal training world for 35 years. I specialized in elephants and exotic animals . I learned operant conditioning at an early stage in my career and was able to use this knowledge to improve my understanding of training theories and applications in training for more humane results.

I agree with the other reviews that this kit is complete and was put together with real some real indepth thought behind it. The DVD is so easy to follow and the pieces almost self explainatory in the way they snap together.

This kit is super for parents just wanting to interact with their children. The kit would be wonderful also for teachers wanting an in classroom project. A Shrine Hospital treating kids or a day care could easily have a mascot for the children and teach the fish for fun as well as entertainment.

Where I see the real value in the R2 Fish School trainig kit is teaching adults though. I know many adults would think they are beyond a fish training kit .In my years of teaching and consulting on behavioral modification in the Zoo world I could have definately used this kit to expand peoples understanding of operant conditioning and learning theory. There seems to be a new wave of people involved in what is known as clicker training . There are some trainers even holding seminars to share these techniques. One noted expert has newcomers to the field of operant conditioniong train chickens so the students can learn the theory and application hands on in a class room. The fish could replace the chicken and is easier to house, clean and care for in many enviorments than are chickens.I know you can get more reinforcements into a chicken but each of these animals has its individual benifits to training it. Training this little fish demonstrates most of all that animals can and wil learn with out physical coercion. No bridle or bit, no choke chain or leash . Just you your intelect and the use of positive reinforcements to accomplish a wide range behaviors you never thought a fish could do.

If you want a fun productive, interactive, and worthwhile training tool this is it.It is not just for kids.

You clicker trainers out their interested in this R2 fish kit may take note. This kit does not have a clicker included .Those of you who would want to use this to teach adults could use a slight single tap on the side of the glass when pressenting a food reinforcement . This taping noise association quickly would replace the clicker as a secondary reinforcer or bridging stimulus.

Got mine Friday....already trained my Betta to swim through the hoop....Tunnel trick next. The DVD and manual are really easy to understand. The DVD is actually very entertaining....I'm sure my Betta won't be as successful as Comet but we'll give it a shot! The parts are very well made and well engineered. I purchased the R2 Fish School to explore the possibility of Animal Assisted Therapy. With the advancement of microcontrollers and sensors it'll be possible to setup a tank that is interactive and gives feedback.

I've gone through a two year program that teaches you how to train your own assistance dog. Shane and I graduated four years ago and I use operant conditioning to improve upon current skills or teach new ones that we need.

A lot of thought went into this kit. An example is the goal post clips that guide the soccer ball into the net. Without them the soccer ball could become trapped between the goal post and the training platform walls. It's important that you plan your training session so that the animal doesn't get frustrated. The goal post clips are an example of this technique.

I had known for a few years that it was possible to train fish, but had never taken the time to do it. Dean & Kyle took the time and a lot of thought and care went into the design of this kit. Operant conditioning isn't a way to control your pet, but a way of communicating.

My assistance dog Shane was considered un-adoptable by both the humane society and the Labrador rescue group. Everyone who adopted him found him to be too wild and demanding. But he passed his temperament test for the assistance dog school, he was given to me by the Labrador rescue foundation and I was told I couldn't give him back.

Operant conditioning saved his life and improved mine. I know from experience that if I had this kit back then it would have helped me get the training techniques faster.

The Dog's Way dvd training program (thedogsway.com) consists of 12 step by step lessons on 5 DVDs including walking on a loose leash, sit, stay, walking next to you in a controlled way, leaving things alone without having to use the "leave it" command, coming when called, staying in a down for 10+minutes, temporary boundaries (staying out of kitchen when eating), permanent boundaries (not going out front door), staying quiet, etc. The program was designed by Master Dog Trainer, Sean McDaniel, and you see him training real dog owners with their clearly untrained dogs. There are before and after videos and you get to see their trial and error with the lessons. The other great thing about this type of training is it does not really on treats. It relies on the pack mentality and the relationship between dog and owner. It is perfect if you don't have the time or money to be able to go to obedience training classes in person. You basically get unlimited access to dog training lessons for the price of one hour of in home dog training or a group class. Personally, I think this is better because you can watch the lessons over and over if you forget something. I really need to hear or see things over and over before they stick in my head so the videos have been great. It also comes with reminder cards that you can take with you when you practice each lesson with your dog. They have a "Do" side and a "Don't" side which I have found quite useful. I am on lesson 4 right now, so I will update more as I go along, but it really works! I always thought that my husband was the "alpha" and that was why my dog listened to him more, but I am finding by following Sean's theory, he listens to me too! Our last boxer was small and she was old by the time we had kids, so we never really trained her. Our new boxer is 65 pounds of energy so we knew we had to train him, especially with the kids around. I highly recommend these videos! You can tell Sean really cares about the relationship between owner and dog and wants you to be able to enjoy your dog more. I can't wait to watch more lessons and practice them.

I was looking forward to receiving catnip that my three cats would really love. Unfortunately, when I received your product and sprinkled it over some of the cat toys my cats were not impressed. They barely took time to sniff the new catnip. I was unhappy with their response. Your product was no more potent than the catnip I purchase at the food stores in my city. If you should produce something stronger, more potent I might want to try again. Sorry, positive response from me or my cats.

This video came as a "bonus video" when we ordered a video about Training Your Cocker Spaniel Puppy. So we watched it with our 18 week old Cocker Spaniel Sandy and she really enjoyed it. She sat there wagging her tail and actually tried to jump up at the TV a few times. It really seemed to hold her attention. It runs for just about 30 minutes but then repeats over and over again. We would not have purchased this video separately, but were surprised how good it was when it came as a bonus video included with the training DVD we ordered.
